Incredible experience with very knowledgeable guides. It was private and quiet and we had a blast learning about the area and sea life. Saw countless types of fish and 11 sea turtles.

We came on a cruise and booked this excursion on our own. This excursion was fantastic for our family. We have done snorkeling excursions in Europe/ Carribean/ C. America/ USA. This was top notch. It was a safe, fun, educational, and stress free! We were picked up at the port and taken to secluded part of the island - away from the hustle and bustle of the port. Kayaking was great and the snorkeling was fun. Tanya, Kareem, and Franklin are wonderful Bahamian ambassadors. They were so knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. 10/10 experience.

Franklin and Kareem were great guides. We learned a lot about the Bahamas and had fun kayaking to and snorkeling on the reef. We were the only 2 on the tour and they were in no rush to end the tour quickly (we were out extra time for sure). The coconut water and drink were fantastic! Kareem, what was the recipe again??

My partner and I booked a kayak/snorkel excursion with Franklin and Kareem during our cruise this summer and had a fantastic experience. All of the excursions offered through our cruise included some kind of gimmick “snorkel with pigs, swim with turtles” and we didn’t really want to be in a group of 30+ people. We were hoping for something more personal and unique and that’s exactly what we got - a reasonably priced, authentically Bahamian and (what turned out to be) private excursion. Franklin and Kareem took us to some great snorkel locations where we saw all sorts of fish and ocean critters! They were very safety conscious and went the extra mile to ensure we felt very comfortable during the entire outing. Once we were finished, they treated us to some delicious cocktails (that included fresh juice straight from some coconuts on the beach). We ended up being their only clients for the day, so they very generously extended the excursion and took us to a delicious local spot for crack conch. They then drove us to historic Fort Charlotte where we ate our lunch under a tree, chatted, and had a panorama view of the bay across from Nassau Harbour Lighthouse. Franklin and Kareem were wonderful hosts. They were so kind, personable, very professional and had all kinds of interesting stories about the Bahamas and its history. We can’t recommend them enough and would absolutely book an excursion with them again!

My 13-year-old daughter and I went on the kayak and snorkel excursion. We had a wonderful time! We were the only people in the group on the day we went. The tour guides are such nice guys - they love their home and their job. They were excited to bring us to a great coral reef where we saw many different types of fish. I felt like this was more of a local/hometown experience - not so touristy. My daughter and I were able to relax and take in the beauty of the island. Thank you so much!

Absolutely awesome experience. These two gentlemen are very outgoing and proud of their beautiful islands. They went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and having a great time. The snorkeling was beautiful we saw a wide range of fish including a ray, barracuda, and cuddle fish. I would recommend this excursion whole heartedly and this is coming from someone who rarely writes a review.

Wonderful day out with Kareem and Franklyn. Small group (or in my case solo) really adds to the experience, with the day being tailored to what you want to get out of it. Really great to see the guys being so passionate about what they do, showing huge respect and awareness for the reef itself. Would definitely recommend.

My brother and I had a fantastic time on this snorkeling adventure. The guides Franklyn and Kareem picked us up from our hotel and took us to a quiet beach on the west side of the island. The weather was overcast and a little windy that day, so they took us to a spot that would have the best chance of having calm seas. We kayaked out to the reef, inflated a floating platform, jumped in the water and went snorkeling. We saw lots of marine wildlife; lots of beautiful fish, spiny tail lobsters, and even a nurse shark that swam about 20ft from me. After we finished snorkeling, we kayaked back to the beach where the guys chopped open some fresh coconuts for us to drink and then they mixed us a tasty rum cocktail before bringing us back to our hotel. If you’re looking to get away from the crowds and not just be a number in line, do THIS excursion. The groups are small, and we were the only 2 people doing it that afternoon, so it felt nice and personal! Franklyn and Kareem are excellent guides! They both have lifeguard experience, are very knowledgeable about the ocean and wildlife, and are very friendly and great to chat with! 10/10 Would absolutely do this again!

This was such a cool experience. The weather was perfect. Kayaking to the reef was so much fun and the reef is huge. So many fish. Kareem and Frank were exceptional guides and wonderful people. Being in their company was a huge pleasure. Highly recommended this activity!

We got so lucky here because my wife and I were the only participants; therefore, received lots of extra attention. We were allowed to snorkle for 2 solid hours seeing sea turtles, sting rays nurse sharks and hundreds of different fish which our guides identified for us. Kareem & Franklin were so informative and courteous; even giving us a free ride on the inflatable platform back to shore!. The drinks were cold and coconut juice was warm drunk directly from the coconuts after Kareem cut them down for us. This was my favorite excursion that we did on our trip. Highly recommend these special fellas for a satisfying adventure.

This was by far, my daughter's favorite thing we did at the Bahamas. She is 13. She really loved it. The guides, Franklin and Kareem, are really cool, with interesting stories and very helpful.

We had the best time with Kareem and Franklin. They are very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. It is a quick 15 minute kayak ride to the platform to get snorkel gear on and also to return to when you need a break. If you don’t like to get in the water you can lean over the edge and see lots of fish without being completely submerged. We never felt rushed and enjoyed the punch and fresh coconut water upon return to the beach. Communication was great the entire time. Do not hesitate to book this tour.

By far our favorite part of our trip to Nassau. We enjoyed the kayaking, saw so many interesting and beautiful fish and other sea life, and had a fun time chatting with Franklin and Kareem who were great guides. Would highly recommend this experience!

Kareem and Franklin are super knowledgeable Bahamian natives. After picking us up from Baha Mar, we drove about 20 minutes to the northwest side, as the south side was windy that day. They are great at scoping out the best conditions based on the weather. Once we arrived at the beach, we kayaked about 10-15 minutes out to the reef and anchored with a floating raft alongside us. We snorkeled up and down the beautiful reef, seeing numerous fish, coral, and even a lobster made a brief appearance. Our guides allowed us to swim freely while still keeping watch on us, pointing out and diving down to show us beautiful sights. When we were finished snorkeling, we kayaked back to a small beach where local drinks and fresh coconut water were provided. We enjoyed listening to stories and the history of the island. If you are looking for a more private snorkel adventure (it was just the two of us!), this is the one.

Super mellow day. Out of all these excursions we went on, these guys were pros at their tour. They are lifers on the water, as opposed to many other excursions that are just there for the work, these guys enjoy being on the water. Nice little island trip with snorkeling around the island. Saw some fish, saw some turtles, had some good drinks and just chilled. Once these guys get into the fishing kayak game I’m all in. Not a very long tour, so if you’re trying to fill in four hours or so, definitely worth it.

We had an amazing experience. The kayaking was beautiful and our guides were very helpful. The kayaking was not too strenuous and worked for grandparents and grandkids. Snorkeling was gorgeous, we saw tons of fish and beautiful corral and our guides did a great job identifying fish and pointing out interesting areas to explore. Also, we had lovely drinks and snacks provided by the tour. I would recommend this trip highly.

Excellent, intimate kayaking/snorkeling experience. Was great to get away from the larger crowds. Guides were incredibly friendly. Generally should expect to exert some effort kayaking (it is open ocean and need to be able to get in and out of kayaks onto platform). Would recommend 10/10.

Our guides, Kareem and Franklin, scoped out diving spots ahead of time and strategically pre-staged the floating platform in order to optimize our experience while accounting for the wind and water conditions on the day of our excursion. They had equipment to fit all members of our group of 5, and made sure we all had fun and were comfortable while also staying safe. The chill time on the beach after our dive was just as enjoyable as the coral reef exploration, especially since it was a quiet and peaceful section of shoreline. And the fresh coconuts and cocktail/mocktail topped it all off. This is a hard-working local crew with so much to share! We will definitely contact IslandLife Escape the next time we are in the Bahamas!

We can't recommend this tour highly enough. Kareem, Franklyn and Tania all were fantastic. What it is: an interesting, educational and fun mini-tour of a quiet part of the islands with a little bit of hiking and a lot of kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing. What it is not: loud, crowded, boisterous, overwhelming or "touristy." Kareem and Franklyn were excellent guides - professional, hard-working and knowledgeable but also fun, relaxed and chill. We felt well taken care of and at the same time it was like hanging out with a couple of cool buddies who just happen to know where the best little island is to party. We are a group of four women of moderate fitness, 2 in our 60s and 2 in our 20s. The guys modified our trip on the fly to suit our needs and the weather. It was clear they could do so to suit a variety of skills and abilities. Worthy of note: we saw tons of turtles, rays and, on the reef, colorful fish. The fresh coconut drink/snack was refreshing, the after-snorkel cocktail was fruity and delicious, and the guys get major props for delivering the shoes that one of our group left on the island directly to our hotel. 10 out of 20. Slay!

Franklyn and Kareem were great. They took good care of us, including the kiddos. Even though the kids didn't take full advantage of the snorkeling, they had an awesome floating platform that they could hang off the edge and still see/participate.

This was an exceptional excursion. Kareem and Franklyn are wonderful and informative hosts with a deep love and respect for the island they call home. The kayaking and snorkeling were both excellent, and the reef was filled with beautiful fish.

Kareem and Franklin are great at what they do. I highly recommend them if you plan on doing kayaking and snorkeling. They don’t have specific area. They base it on weather and wind condition. My friend recommended them and when she did it they went to South side while us when we did it we went on the north/east side. i get to experience them do spear fishing. They caught 4 lobsters and a grouper. so fun!

Kareem and Franklin provide a fantastic experience. These are a couple of best friends who have stared a small buisness and it was a pleasure to support them. They picked me up at my hotel right on time. We went to the south side of the island where it was so peacful and lovely. I told them I love nature and they took me to a turle cove, we saw lots of string rays and there are several small reefs for snorkeling. Kareem made a fantastic homemade punch that tasted amazing. I highly recommened them. I think it is a nicer experience to not be with such a larger corportate organization and to suport a small buisness and get a personalized experience.

I booked this tour for my birthday and it was so magical! The small group meant it was just me, my husband and my best friend. We got a lot of guidance from Kareem and Franklin as well as a lot of great conversation. It was such a treat to leave the bustling resort for a few hours and go somewhere truly remote. It was the perfect amount of activity- enough to make you feel accomplished, but not enough to exhaust you. Highly recommend.

This was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend. Everything ranging from the scheduling process, the kayaking equipment provided, and the snorkeling location was great. We had a fabulous day with Kareem and Franklin. They ensured that we had the best experience possible. They did not rush the timeline. We enjoyed talking with them, especially about the history and culture of the Bahamas. They are both just solid individuals with welcoming personalities. Definitely worth the money - we would highly recommend this experience.

We had a great time snorkeling and hanging out at the beach with Franklin and Kareem! They taught us so much about the marine life, native plants, and Bahamian food/culture. It’s awesome how they personalize your day to fit what you want to do! And we really enjoyed being away from the city and getting some quiet time with nature. We highly recommend this experience—it was the highlight of our trip!!

I could not have imagined what I was going to experience on this adventure. It was more than I could have dreamed. Our two guides were friendly along with informative. As a first time snorkeler, time was taken to explain the 'to do' and 'not to do' with the gear. My guide was also by my side to help with the current and ensure my enjoyment of the adventure! SO glad we chose this! Over the top pleased!

Very special experience away from the crowds of tourists. we were the only ones on the reef and had a very private beach experience. Our guides were happy to go at the pace we wanted and we were never rushed.

Wow - one of the best excursion I have ever been on. Not a lot of people. You kayak out to the "private" island where you can snorkel or simple hang out. The guides are local and share so much knowledge about their nature and history. We loved it. Highly recommended.

Relaxing excursions out into the open water. Island hopped to see turtles, who were curious about us as well. Eventually headed out even more to hit the reef with the snorkels. Great experiences to learn about the island and the locals. They even provided use with a stop to a local hangout to grab some eats to go!

Excellent experience! Tanya, Kareem and Franklin made the whole day fun and friendly. They were very accomodating with our start time since we were unloading from a cruise ship. The short kayak paddle to the floating snorkeling platform added a bit of adventure to the day. Snorkeling was made easy for first timers (wife and daughter) and kept the experienced snorkelers (myself and son) entertained as well. We saw many seas creatures (too many to name) including a resident reef shark named "Hook", parrot fish, angels, seargent majors, gobi and even a jellyfish. Their secluded shady spot after a day in the sun was a welcome oasis. Kareem makes a delicious mango punch that can also include rum for the adults. Check this operation out. This was a one in a life time type of experience! It was like hanging out with a couple friends in their hometown..giving you home town treatment and showing you the cool things. Very authentic and private. We saw sea turtles, eel, beautiful fish and coral. The drinks on the beach were amazing. Don’t pass this one up.

Kareem and Franklin are two of the best! They were patient in helping us getting in the water and ensuring that our equipment was on properly. We saw plenty of beautiful sea life and even were near a coral reef at one point. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a more personalized experience when snorkeling.

This trip was amazing! Definitely do again. Tania, Kareem and Franklin were so nice and accommodating. They communicated very well with us through the app. The weather on the south spot wasn’t the best the day we came so they took us to the north side. It was still amazing. Reef was so beautiful. Lots of really cool fish. Drinks were amazing and the beach was private. I feel like we made good friends in the Bahamas. They made our trip one we will not forget.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Bahamas! The tour was run by a local family, and you can really tell they love what they do. The guides were super friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel totally safe the whole time. We kayaked through the clearest water I’ve ever seen, and the snorkeling was unreal—tons of tropical fish, and we even spotted a stingray gliding right beneath us! If you’re looking for a laid-back, authentic experience away from the cruise crowds, this is it. Support local and go with this crew—you won’t regret it!

Amazing. It only takes one word to describe this experience. Owners Kareem and Franklin were great from pickup to drop-off. If you are looking for a smaller, more personal snorkel excursion, this is the one. My sons and I did not want a crowded, cookie-cutter experience. What a day! Truly the nicest most relaxing, aways from the crowds day! It was just the 5 of us on the trip and we loved every minute of it. You kayak out to an amazing snorkeling spot with so many types of fish and coral, all around. Then you have delicious drinks on this unreal empty beach with the softest sand. Really fantastic experience. Best of all this is a business run by a warm and welcoming local family.

My son and I had such a great time snorkeling and saw so many beautiful parrot fish (my fav!), lobster, sting ray and more! What a beautiful paradise!
