Perfect Nara Park Half-day Bus Tour With English Speaking Guide

Great tour to Nara Park, Tōdai-ji Temple, Kasugataisha Shrine and Mount Wakakusa. Tour guide is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about history. It was rainy and a bit foggy today, but still worth it. Liked seeing the deer and feeding them crackers provided.

An excellent tour and highly recommended

Amazing places to see- but our guide is what made it so special! She is so sweet and has lots of interesting things to tell us about the area. We got a few little treats along the way- A handmade deer with a fortune inside, deer food for feeding the Nara deer, and a cloth the Japanese use for easy carrying! The guide is very kind- you’ll wish she was one of the souvenirs! Highly suggest going. I went with a school group of 20 people and it worked well, lots of photo opportunities and Japanese History you wouldnt learn from going to these places solo. :)

The experience was excellent. Our guide, Yasuko, was incredible. She had a wealth of knowledge, she was incredibly kind and it was evident how passionate she was about sharing her love for the Nara area. Our driver was kind, and the drive was comfortable. The crew welcomed us on board and made our experience even warmer. Would strongly recommend!

There is no way that we could have seen as much as we did without taking the tour. There is so much more to the Nara Park than the deer and we got to see it. This perfect Nara tour is amazing and the perfect tour for those who want to know a lot about the culture and wild life on Nara Park and the bus driver takes you to the closest area of each attraction, so you don’t need to walk a lot. Perfect for summer days. The guide, Masako, is an amazing guide. Our group of three had an amazing experience with our tour guide Masako. She was extremely kind & attentive, extremely knowledgeable & happy & proud to do her job. On a very rainy day our trip was exciting with amazing experiences. We took a wrong train, had to make two transfers, but we miraculously found our tour guide and enjoy our tour.

This tour was the perfect length, around 4 hours. The bus driver was very competent and friendly and our tour host Kazu was outstanding! She was fun, outgoing, knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a terrific way to spend a pleasant afternoon in Nara.

This Tour was a great way to get an overview of Nara in a short amount of time. It was wonderful that the bus took us to the top, where we enjoyed a spectacular view. Overall, it was a great experience.

It was a lovely experience. If you have only 1 day and want to see the park, temple and shrine, this is the perfect tour for you. Masako and the incredible driver Hiroshi were the best. Went straight where we needed with detailed explanations of everything we needed to know. All questions were answered and if it was something they weren't sure about they made sure to check and answer us later. Took lovely pictures of us and gave us some independent time to explore.

Excellent experience, very well organised by and well looked after by our dedicated Guide Masako. Masako was very professional and patient to answer all questions and help whatever she can to accommodate. You definitely get what you pay for, if not, more.

My 2nd time doing this tour. Last time in 2025 winter. This tour during the Sakura season. It’s a well organised and delivered tour. Kazu was the tour guide this time and despite how much of a little gem this tour is it’s the Nara staff involved that make it worth while. Friendly and plenty of smiles all round. Next time I’ll do a tour with the deer in their summer coats and antlers. Recommended.

It is our first time going Nara and we decided to book a half day trip with a guide. We were glad to be assigned to Masako as our English guide. We learnt more than just reading signs and our session was interactive and informative. For our deer feeding experience, she was also considerate to give us the deer crackers at the base of Mt Wakakusa so that we are not against too many hungry deers 😂. We will definitely consider other tours when we are visiting Japan again.

Our day with Nara Kotsu Sightseeing Bus made our visit to Nara utterly stress-free and more enjoyable than we expected. We appreciated the comfortable, air-conditioned coach, which was a relief under the autumn skies. The stops were well-timed at major highlights (Tōdai‑ji, Kasuga Taisha, deer-filled Nara Park and the overlook at Mount Wakakusa), allowing us to soak in the history without rushing. Our guide was friendly, fluent in English, full of interesting insights about the temples and the deer, and answered our questions with ease. The driver proved skilled and courteous. It was worth the price, so we were not exhausted and could still do other activities in the evening. The bus was roomy and air conditioned. Our tour guide, Masako was very helpful and informative.

First, definitely worth 10,000 Yen as it covers all of the entry fees to the different shrines, temples etc. Masako, our tour guide was very friendly and speaks fluent English. Very informative and ensures we were well taken care off. We were given enough time to spend at each location and I definitely recommend her for a tour guide in Nara, thank you 🙇‍♀️

This really is the perfect tour! It is super efficient and our guide Makoto and driver Mr. Nakatani are AWESOME. This tours visits all the Nara spots on your list in the most comfortable way possible! You can spend your energy enjoying the beauty of Nara instead of thinking about the journey to your next site. The bus is a coach bus with comfortable seats, big windows and air conditioning. Makoto explained the story behind the symbolism and spent the perfect amount of time at each site. Admission to all sites are included and this tour get special access to admission lines and parking lots. VERY efficient and very VIP! I am so glad I booked this tour. Excellent experience. Nara deer feeding was one of a kind for adults and kids alike. The views from up on mountain was breathtaking. The Todaiji temple is a just a mirror to great ancient history.
