Ultimate Capri And Blue Grotto Day Tour From Naples Or Sorrento

Guided tour of Capri … spent all day exploring the island of Capri. Luigi was a fun and charismatic guide. He treated us like family. Worth every penny.

The first part of tour is a bit crazy as every group races on and off the ferry to be first for the blue grotto boats. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and we were not able to go to the blue grotto (which happens much more frequently then they let on) however our guide still made our tour wonderful. She got us in position to be one of the first on the chairlift for fantastic views of the island before the crowds formed. She continued to give us tips and highlights that made the whole day wonderful. The captain of the boat for around the island tour was also very skilled and made the trip very fun. Overall Capri is beautiful and well worth a trip to visit.

Luigi was a great guide showing the group important sites in Marina Grand, Capri, Anacapri and Marina Piccolo. Even though we were unable to see the Blue Grotto, we had a nice boat ride around the island and experienced the other minor Grotto.

We liked our visit to Capri. Highly recommend the chair lift to the top of Monte Solano. Our guide, Giorgio, a long time resident of Capri, was fund as well as informative. Although conditions were not favorable for entering the Blue Grotto on the day of our tour, the boat trip around the island was fantastic.

This tour is the perfect amount of time in Capri. There’s a lot to see, but if you don’t need hours to shop in designer stores, then this tour is perfect with its focus on sightseeing.

We came off our cruise ship the Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Seas which departed at 5:30 PM. The tour was set to go till 5 and after a bit of deliberation with our guide we were reassured we would be back in time. Unfortunately due to the season the Blue Grotto was closed, so we did the boat ride around the island instead which was great. Atop Anacapri I highly recommend riding the chair lift! Our guide was awesome and she definitely had to put up with some disgruntlement from other attendees in the group. Our boat ride back to Naples was really rough, so I do advise that the ferry ride is something to take into consideration when booking, but at no fault of the guide or tour. Overall this was a great way to see Capri and I highly recommend!

Or guide, Luigi, was fun... His little"family" disappointed that we could not go into the blue grotto... But that was not his fault... He made the day special by guiding us around the beautiful island of Capri!

This was a great tour even though the Blue Grotto was closed. We were still thrilled with Luigi, our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, fun and informative. It was a small group and very fun. We did AnaCapri first. My husband and I took the chair lift to the top! It was stunning. Then we spent the afternoon on a boat cruise around the island. It was exciting and beautiful. Totally worth the day 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The tour was great. Unfortunately the blue grotto was closed because of the weather. I understand that’s out of anyone’s control for safety reasons, but it felt a tad overpriced without doing the cover photo adventure. Our guide Marcella was THE BEST!

Titziana was the best tour guide! While others were in line waiting for stuff we were sneaking through the city seeing the hidden gems and beating the lines! Not only did we see the blue grotto, Anacapri, she had us so dialed in we got to take a private boat tour of the island! She is very knowledgeable and one of the funniest tour guides! She kept us laughing while telling us about the city and best places to grab snacks and food!

Unbelievable day on the island of Capri. Perfect weather and the BEST Guide Michele. His 20 years of experience got us in and around the island and we were able to experience everything from Ana Capri to the Blue Grotto to a full around the island boat tour along with time for shopping and a lunch! It was incredible.

Great experience. Our leader made perfect recommendations that allowed us to spend time without chasing around. No blue grotto but that was the same for everyone. Boat excursion was just fine. Solid outing. This is our second time to island and this was much better experience.

We had a wonderful time with the help of our wonderful guide Tiziana. She was very knowledgeable and explained as we went along the history of the different places. We had time to explore ourselves the island and also have a boat ride around the island. We truly enjoyed the day.

Outstanding day from start to finish, our guide Vincenzo was amazing with his organisation and attention to detail even making a wee video and sending it to everyone late in the day, stopping off at the Limoncello factory is a must. Awesome day cannot recommend Vincenzo enough.

It showed a lot of Capri and the Blue Grotto is incredible. And even more special if you are able to have Giorgio as your tour guide

This was a wonderful experience and if you have the opportunity to do the grotto and the boat tour around the island try to do both they are totally worth it!

We had Luigi as a tour guide and our day was 10/10! We started the day in Capri and went to a private garden with stunning views! We then got to go to Anacapri and the chairlift line was so short! Amazing and enjoyed the ride. Then we did a boat tour as the grotto was closed for safety reasons and it was also a highlight of the trip. Got to see the whole island and experience every part of Capri.

Such an amazing place and great value. Tour took us to WWII tunnels and shared the history. Went inside Blue Cave. Swam and snorkelled nearby in crystal clear water. Passed by and learned about the Lady of the Rock church. Stopped by small village to eat snd shop. Perfect in every way!

Amazing experience. Our guide Vincento was a a great guide. He really was so great. We weren’t able to do the blue grotto due to the waters being choppy, but they ended up giving us a boat ride around the entire island and seeing other grottos instead. Awesome experience. 10/10 would recommend

Vincenzo was the best tour guide in Italy! Capri was amazing, blue grotto CLOSED due to high waves, be aware if you are booking this just for blue grotto it may be closed in Oct 2026 due to waves. Vincenzo led a boat tour around the island of capri as an alternative which was phenomenal. The boat does enter a grotto and you will see the blue grotto up close. Overall the tour was amazing, and guide was even better. 5/5

Met Luigi our guide at the port . As everyone was there earlier we were able to take an earlier boat which meant bearing all the queues for everything which left us with time at the end for an additional boat trip around the island late afternoon . It was a geologists dream! The blue grotto, chairlift to the top of Capri and visits to Anacapri and Capri town were fleeting but enjoyable none the less, bug not enough time to shop comfortably . If shopping is what you are looking for this trip is not for you . But if you want to see the sights and experience Capri in a day , then this is the trip. Luigi made the day with his fabulous “let’s get to it “ attitude , great time management and wonderful sense of humour .

We had a fantastic day in Capri with Vinchenzo. From the initial meeting up to the end of the day he was fantastic. Due to the weather we weren't able to go to the Blue Grotto, however, we had a lovely bout tour around the island instead. 10/10

Our least sunny day on the Sorrento peninsula turned out to be one of our best. The tour began from the Marina Piccola, on a high-speed boat to Capri. Our tour guide, Luigi, was a seasoned professional and navigated Capri to maximize our ability to enjoy the tour. In fact, though it threatened to rain, Luigi got us into the Blue Grottoand up the Anacapri chair lift by expertly timing the sequence of our tour. The Grotto was awesome, as was the view from the highest point on the island, above Anacapri. We had plenty of time to get a taste of the island, as well as time for a sit down lunch and drinks in Marina Grande. All in all, an excellent tour.

Wonderful day spent seeing the blue grotto, chairlift in Anacapri, and boat tour around the island of Capri. Thankfully the blue grotto was open the day we went. Have tip money ready as the boat operators ask for tips. Highly recommend the chairlift in Anacapri - beautiful views. Goes slow and there are helpers to get you on and off the lift safely. We opted to take a boat cruise around the island of Capri which I highly recommend - 25€ per person and totally worth the 1 hour ride. Luigi was our guide and he was excellent. Got on an early ferry out of Sorrento and we were able to beat the rush at the blue grotto.

We had a great day in Capri Unfortunately we didn't get to see the blue gatto because of bad wind. Our tour guide arrange a boat trip around the island. I will definitely recommend that tour.

Our guide, Teresa did a fantastic job. She provided historical details on the cities. She got us everywhere in a timely manner. We were able to see the Blue Grotto, go on the ski lift to the top of the island and a boat tour around the island. Plus, we had enough time to shop in both Capri and Anacapri. I highly recommend this tour and Teresa our guide.

Giorgio was an amazing tour guide, my mom and I had the best time ever!!! He was funny, informative and a great help to my mom who’s 70 years old. We will be back with the family and hope to take the tour with Giorgio again! God bless you Giorgio, we will see you again! -Elsa and Corrine

Beautiful island. A lot of walking and a lot of steep steps. Crowded but nice Our tour guide Paola was fabulous. Kept a timely schedule and she was very informative

Our guide (Tiziana) was amazing and took our excursion to the next level. The blue grotto experience was fast but excellent. We had additional time and used it to take a boat ride around Capri. Tiziana was efficient, friendly and funny. 10 out of 10!!

Our Capri tour was enjoyable overall, although parts of the day felt rushed while we waited for our shuttle. We were reprimanded for being one minute late, even though we had to wait an additional 30 minutes on their end, which felt unfair and inconsistent. The Blue Grotto was amazing and definitely worth visiting if you have the opportunity. The bus ride was exciting, especially along the narrow roads, and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, the boat ride around Capri was probably our favorite part of the entire trip.

Great tour 100% recommend! We were able to do the blue grotto and have some free time in Anacapri! We were also able to do a boat tour that was not included in the tour!

Great trip made extra special by our guide Luigi. So much packed in to one day thanks to an early start. Missed the queues, saw the sights,did the grotto, chairlift and ended the day on a boat tour around the island which was a geologist’s dream.

Capri is a beautiful setting and we had a fun adventure learning its history and experiencing the Blue Grotto and strolling through the interesting shops

My wife has difficulty walking and uses a cane. Our tour guide, Cynthie, was exceptional and took extra care to made sure that my wife was able to do and enjoy this beautiful tour , including getting in and out of the rowboat for the grotto.

What a wonderful way to see Capri. This tour was very well scheduled. We were able to be one of the first few groups to enter the blue grotto. By the time we left the line was hours long and we only had to wait 10 mins. Cynthia was a great tour guide. She gave us her expert opinion on how to spend our time. The boat tour at the end was a must. This was a perfect way to explore Capri for a day!

This tour was amazing! Cynthia our guide was tremendous! She talked with passion about Capri. She provided us with the best stop for views/picture taking plus incredible food. She helped make the best decisions based on our time to get the most out of the day. A 10- Star Day!

Stephanie was great. She got us into the blue Gratto and got us skip the line tickets at the chairlift on Capri. She was energetic and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.

We had Luigi as our tour guide. He was fantastic and got us to all of the activities early so we rarely waited in lines for very long. We were able to get into the blue grotto and also did a private boat tour around the island. Had a great day

The guide was excellent. Very entertaining and knowledgeable, and was taking care of us all very well.

This tour was ridiculous, we’re supposed to see the grotto, but ended up, circling around the island with a bunch of ridiculous facts, honestly it was a big waste of a day. They basically took you to Capri and there you have to shop and eat and basically sit in an island until you are very back to Naples. The only thing that was the highlight was going up the lift but again that was $15 each, which was totally worth it. But this tour was expensive and really overcrowded!!! don’t waste your money on it
