Snorkeling In The Bay Submerged Park

Having visited Baiae several times before, and having experienced a glass bottom boat, we wanted to "up the ante" and do some snorkeling this time around. The fee was adequate. The group counted around ten people. The guide, Andrea was beyond fantastic! Fun, informative, attentive, relaxed, and she even mustered the help of a local cat during the introduction. Having experienced severe ear infections each and every time I've tried to dive deep when snorkelling I did not dare do it this time around but Andrea then volunteered to use my underwater camera to get some close-up photos of the mosaics. Molto grazie! Being early October the water temperature was just sufficiently high to spend the hour or so in the water but the wetsuits kept you comfy enough. While we didn't get to see the submerged statue (shown here) we got to see several floor mosaics, a staircase and the outlines of a huge villa! We will most likely return here. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in ancient Rome. Attaching one of my own photos.

Wonderful experience in Baia with the extremely friendly guides. Would recommend to anybody. We enjoyed the snorkeling tour with Andrea so much, a unique experience.

It helps if you’ve snorkeled before but 5 of the 6 on this trip hadn’t. We took a small boat a few minutes into the bay and snorkeled with our guide who was very knowledgeable

Amazing experience with incredibly friendly guides in a beautiful and peaceful town, an excellent reprieve from the bustling of Naples. The snorkeling is a particularly fun and relaxed experience requiring no previous diving experience, as the underwater sights aren't very deep. If you can swim, you will have fun. Additionally, you can go visit the castle up the hill with a museum providing further historical context for the Roman baths and various other epochs that have inhabited this history-rich region. There's a bus directly from Naples center which drops you off right at the doorstep of the diving place and bay. This was pretty much the highlight of our trip to Naples (which is a pretty high standard to begin with). Highly recommended!

Unique experience snorkelling over a sunken villa in the harbour of Baia, seeing the ancient ruins and mosaics. Well organised with a very lovely snorkelling guide, Kaye who showed us where to look. The water was a bit murky and those who were able to dive down got a better look. Still was a very cool experience.

We enjoyed our tour, and particularly loved our guide. I cannot remember her name, but she was really fun, helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable. And I am always impressed when guides can communicate in multiple languages! I would definitely recommend this company. I will say I think there was a lot of activity in the water and a lot of wind so maybe August is not the best time to go, as the water was a bit rough - felt like being in a washing machine for an hour! Perfectly safe but a bit tiring and lots of water in the snorkel - I think I would not recommend this activity at all for someone who was not a strong swimmer. As for what we saw, we booked the lowest level experience and saw walls and floors and mosaics of one section of the old villa... if you want to see more, book a longer trip. For me, it was enough to get a feel for the place and I really enjoyed it.

The whole experience was great, really easy to book lots of helpful tips on how to get there very professional, i went with my teenage sons.The guide Kay was great, really helpful on fitting our equipment and helping us throughout the trip. Fantastic opertunity to view the sunken ruins. I even drop my phone and it fell to the sea bed she dived down very quickly.to get it amazing

The snorkel tour of the ruins was a great experience. The staff was excellent and engaged with us the entire time. We will definitely be doing more tours with Sea World Baia Diving

An amazing experience that I could not recommend enough! Everyone was so kind and welcoming, so knowledgeable and comforting. I was a bit nervous but I felt very comfortable almost straight away and we had so much fun learning the facts, seeing the ruins and the fishes! It could not have gone better- we booked the 8am slot and got lucky it was just us two on the session :) it is a relaxed environment, everyone was chatty and they had also adopted kittens so that was an added bonus :). Very well organised trip, easy to get to with parking right next door to the dive centre. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff - our guide Elliot was brilliant! Shame that the statues are no longer part of the tour but the mosaics were impressive and Elliot was great at pointing things out to us.

Incredible experience snorkeling over underwater mosaics. Paul was an excellent guide and would snorkel with them again!

This was one of the best experiences in my whole 2 week backpacking trip. The staff where so accommodating (we missed our bus and they moved our tour to a different time free of charge!), our tour guide (Tess) was practically a historian the way she explained what we where going to view at the site, and was very throughout in making sure that everyone saw all the cool details during their dives. All could be seen from the surface but diving down was not difficult to do either— most ruins are just a few feet down. Tess also pointed out some fun structures like closets, the mortar, jar remnants, and door hinge locations. Best money ever spend, seeing the structure was so impressive especially with such a qualified team member guiding us in the adventure.

Great welcome and explanation all the way through and they were so kind with a person who was struggling. They have everything there and also offer scuba diving and opportunities for beginners as well. You don’t see that much of the ruins but it is very well explained throughout. I would definitely go again but next time I would scuba as you get so close and it’s not deep.

My family and I had so much fun snorkeling and enjoying mosaic tile floors in the sunken villa and baths. Such a fun and fantastic experience!

Michela looked after us so well. we felt safe and instructed at all times. There was a lady who was nervous and she was able to hold on to the large floating device whilst Michela gently encouragers her to look below. There weren’t any other snorkelling groups in the water with us which was great.

This was my family's favorite activity of our entire trip! The first hour of the tour is used for equipment fitting, safety briefings, and sightseeing overview (with a bit of history about the ruins!). The next hour is on the boat and in the water where you see a portion of the Baia ruins. The last half hour is used to shower and change into dry clothes! The employees of the diving center were kind and knowledgeable. I felt very safe the entire time. Be sure to bring a waterproof phone lanyard, a dry towel, and a change of clothes!

Amazing experience. There is a train/ subway from Naples. Then just a short walk to the shop. We'll worth the trip.

​An Absolute Blast on the Water, highly Recommend! ​We had such a brilliant day out! The entire experience was fantastic and worth every single penny. ​The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and just great fun to be around. A massive shout-out to Mickey (I'm pretty sure that was her name!), who was absolutely fantastic and kept everyone in great spirits. ​It's an incredible day out and an absolute must do, just make sure you don't fall out of the boat! We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun adventure.

What an extraordinary experience! Never done anything like it and was quite nervous to begin with. The team and especially Elioth were all extremely calm and kind, he explained every step of the way and he made me feel very at ease. He’s very gentle, funny and speaks very good English. It was a beautiful day, sea was warm and visibility was good. It took me a while to get used to ‘breathing underwater’ but when I did and saw the ruins up close it was magical. As a solo young woman and someone who can struggle in social situations like these, I really did feel safe and very happy with the whole experience - so if you’re thinking about booking it, just do it! Amazing experience. The staff were all incredibly friendly and fun to be around. We especially enjoyed hearing the stories about Alessandro. The mosaics were incredible and the tour of the villa was perfect.

I took my mother and brother on one of the snorkeling excursions and we all had an amazing time. It was run so smoothly and every staff member was incredibly friendly and nice. They even messaged earlier in the morning to inform us that the train was cancelled and instructed us on how to get to them via bus or taxi. Tessa, our guide, was super knowledgeable and a great help in and out of the water! We got to spend about 45 minutes exploring the one site and it was truly fantastic. Would definitely recommend and my family already wants to go again!

A fantastic and magical experience. Extremely friendly and helpful guides who gave a lovely background briefing of what we would see, a pace that allowed for full appreciation and an overall pleasure. One of the coolest things I've ever done while travelling. The fighters mosaic is stunning! As a beginner to snorkeling, I was quickly at ease and learned a few skills, thanks to my guide Andrea. And the office staff were also extremely accommodating, amiable and prompt in their replies. I would urge anyone who goes to Naples to take the train to Baia and experience the archaeological park with Sea Baia.

Super friendly staff! Thanks so much to Alex, our dive instructor. Exploring the archeological sites under water is something I have never experienced anywhere else. And most of the mosaic are in such good condition that you wouldn’t think they are about 2000 years old.

Colder than we expected but it was luke finding Atlantis so no complaints.

Fabulous dip into the Mediterranean. Alessandro "led" us over the ruins of Baia, making sure we knew what we were looking at, and giving each person time to dive down to see for themselves. Wet suits, flippers, masks and snorkel were provided. Bring your own towel!!! We had a non-swimmer in our group and even she was coaxed into the water, as the wet suits are buoyant. It was an experience to remember for a lifetime.

A very fair fee for an hour in the park. Alessandro was friendly and knowledgeable. We got very lucky with the weather and the mosaics were easily visible from the surface! We ended up in a group of only three so got to see everything and spend time properly looking. Thank you!

It was fantastic. Our guide had great knoeledge and experience.vthe water was warm enough not have to wear a wetsuit at 4pm. ..it was fascinating to see this ancient underwater city and swim in the beautiful clear water

Great company, really friendly, informative. A good history lesson before we went and the guide helpful and engaging. They don’t leave you in the water they show you way & tell you where to look.

Marco and Andrea were helpful and friendly, gave us lots of useful information and clearly care about preserving the archaeological site. The facilities at the office are good and it is easy to find- we walked from Fusaro station which took 18mins.

Amazing trip! Everyone was nice and the staff was very helpful! Highly recommend! There were two options to stay on the top or you are able to dive down. An instructor was always with you.

It was difficult to see in the water because the visibility of the see was poor. In addition the what you will see was covered by sand to be protected , so the diver had to go to uncover and then cover again. Moreover the guys in the toor didn’t have goood equipment and no cameras to take us a photo

They worked with us so kindly when there was a nationwide strike that delayed our travel. We arrived for our tour almost an hour late. They stayed late and accommodated us! Even understanding when I had misunderstood that we needed to bring our own towels. Someone went out and actually bought us 2 towels, which they absolutely did not need to do it was so kind. Make sure to bring your own towels!

The whole team was excellent! They were very informative, kind, knowledgeable of the area, and skilled! Seeing the sunken statues that close was must see experience and I highly recommend using Sea World Baia Diving to do it!

Very beautiful experience, the team is great. The explanations are excellent. Diving is accessible to all levels. A nice extra would have been to have a photo or video, even for a fee, for the memories.
