Guided tour along the vineyards on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, a pleasant stroll through the scents and flavors of the wines. Afterwards, a Mediterranean lunch is served with wines such as Falanghina, Lacryma Christi, Aglianico and other typical wines. Activity Details: The custom of drinking wine is very ancient in our region: frescoes, pottery and ancient texts found in archaeological sites such as Pompeii and Herculaneum confirm this practice. Greeks started farming the vineyards on the rich volcanic soil and some of these early varieties still survive to this day, such as the Aglianico. Even though the wine making process, thus its taste, has changed a lot during this long time span, it is clear the unchanged interest for this drink. This tour will take you around the vineyards, learning more about the composition of its soil and how the coexistence with other trees, plants and herbs as well as a mix of modern and traditional techniques affects the quality of wine. After a stroll in the fields, to complete the experience, there will be a plentiful tasting menu with local food and wines to be enjoyed in its original environment.

The food and wine was so ofcourse amazing, but our driver peppe was just amazing. He made the ride fun and enjoyble and went above and beyond to make everybe happy. After we were at vesuvius he took us all the way to the other side of town to one of if not the BEST viewpoints in napoli. If you are here and want a good time peppe will make it a good time:)

We booked the night before, as it was available online. We then paid for travel to Naples from Rome to go on this experience. When we arrive to pickup station, no one was there to pick us up. We proceed to call just to be told that the wine tasting wasn’t confirmed even though we had a confirmation email. They did accommodate for another pickup after we expressed how we traveled just for this tour but we had to wait another hour. We were then driven to the winery, our tour did not last no more than 20 minutes, we didn’t even tour the vineyard, just underground where they store the wine. After the tour, we had the wine tasting and full course lunch which was great. When leaving, they told us to get in the van to go back to the original pickup location however that did not happen. We were dropped off at a random train station, after asking if this was taking us to the pickup location in the van. At the station we were harassed by local taxi drivers who then got aggressive with my partner and I. They sent another driver that arrived 1 hour later and as we left the station with our new driver, the local taxi drivers ran up to our drivers window, threw stones out of the car, followed our car aggressively and made us uncomfortable. Our new driver was a blessing, as he ensured our safety, however, how can you feel safe in this moment. We truly thank our driver for getting us back safely. If you book this please be safe!

Really lovely afternoon, and well worth the money! The food, wine, tour and vineyard were stunning. The guide was very friendly and even took us to an extra stop off in the city afterwards so we could take in the stunning views of the bay.
