Great experience especially if it’s really hot, half day tour to Pompeii is sufficient if you’re not big on archaeology. Got to see the highlights and the guide was knowledgeable

Join a walking tour of the Archaeological site of Pompeii of 2 hours with an official guide ! After the eruption of the Mount Vesuvius in the 79 AD, the city was submerged by a torrent of lapilli and lava which petrified the city preserving all the manufacts and infrastructures from the passing of the years.
The Civil Forum is the core of daily life of the city and is the focal point of all the main public buildings for city administration and justice, business management, and trade activities such as markets, as well as the main places of citizen worship.
The Temple of Jupiter dominates the north side of the Forum, with Mount Vesuvius scenically rising behind. When the colony was founded (80 BC), the temple underwent a radical renovation and became a real Capitolium with the three cult statues of Jupiter, Juno and Minerva, which looked like those of the Capitolium in Rome, placed on a high base so as to make them visible to whoever passed in the Forum square.
The Macellum consists of a tuff quadriporticus with a hall for worship in an elevated position on the eastern side, in line with the entrance. The copies of two marble statues, a female and a male armed, are found on the niches of the side wall, together with the fragment of a larger statue, probably pertaining to an emperor, Titus or Vespasian, indicating how this area was intended for the imperial cult. To its left is a room for meetings of a sacred board and to the right a large room with a masonry counter perhaps for fish to be sold.
Via dell’Abbondanza was the ancient main street (decumanus maximus) of ancient Pompeii, which ran across the city in the direction east/west from the Forum to the Porta Sarno. In ancient times the street was crowded and noisy with many shops, workshops ("officinae”), cafes, snack-bars and restaurants for food and drink
The Baths are located behind the Temple of Jupiter and date back to the years immediately after the founding of the colony of veterans by General Silla (80 BC). Women's and men's quarters had separate entrances. The men's section presents an apodyterium (dressing room), used also as a tepidarium (for medium temperature baths), frigidarium (for cold baths) and calidarium (for hot baths). Like many buildings in Pompeii, the baths were heavily damaged during the earthquake of 62 AD.
The Lupanar is the most famous official brothel of Pompeii, located in a narrow side street near the heart of the city. This small, two-story stone building is unique for its purpose-built design, featuring five small rooms on the ground floor with built-in masonry beds. It is world-renowned for its well-preserved erotic frescoes displayed above the doors, which likely served as a visual "menu" of services, and for the hundreds of graffiti left by visitors, providing a raw and fascinating look into the social life and language of ancient Roman plebeians.
The House of the Faun (Italian: Casa del Fauno), built during the 2nd century BC, was one of the largest and most impressive private residences in Pompeii, Italy, and housed many great pieces of art. It is one of the most luxurious aristocratic houses from the Roman republic, and reflects this period better than most archaeological evidence found even in Rome itself.
The Large Theater of Pompeii was built from the Romans on the slope of a hill located in the area; they took advantage of the natural depression of the mountain to create a majesty auditorium divided into 5 sectors. On the stage were played tragedies of the Greco-Roman traditions.
The Basilica, with its extension of 1,500 square meters, was the most sumptuous building of the Forum, and its space was used to carry out business and for the administration of justice.

Daniella and Vincento ( Luigi was the driver ) were great! Very punctual. Vincento was very knowledgeable on Pomepei as well.
My plane was late and trip advisor canceled and charged me full amount over $700 and refused partial refund. They wouldn’t even reason with me.
Choosing this excursion was the highlight of our trip. The boat ride, small group of people, and our captain made it completely enjoyable. You should be aware that this trip puts you onto the Isle of Capri for about 4.5 hours. I was surprised that we needed to pay 15 euros each to get transportation to sights on the island. You have two options when you get there (public or private bus) but they strongly push the private which costs 15 euros. Also, the town of Capri is a bit chaotic and confusing when you only have a few hours to figure it out. With all that said, we had a fantastic time and our Captain did an exceptional job.
Not recommended. I have never written a review before but felt I had to in order to spare others the frustration my family and I experienced. Although the boat itself and crew were lovely and comfortable, the island of Capri a must if visiting Sorrento, the tour company itself could not have been more disorganized. The trip is advertised as an 8 hour day including transportation to and from harbor from the hotel. However, it turned out to be a 12 hour day! 1.5 hours of waiting, in the beginning, to get on the boat (as other buses arrived late with other tour members) and 1.5 hours of waiting at the end. We first had to wait for 3 additional boats to arrive, then we had to wait for them to organize transportation back to hotels. Our hotel was literally 2 miles away. We could have walked back faster than they transported us. It felt as though everyone there was a new employee and no one knew what to do as several boats were 45 minutes late in returning. I would not use this company again and would not recommend.
We were picked up from Vico train station and went to the pier. Once we made it to the pier it seemed quite chaotic, but eventually got onto our boat. We set off for Capri, going around the island and stopping to snorkel. After that we were dropped off on Capri and had several hours to explore the island. The tour was great, and I've done several of these around the world. However, i think the price is too high. We got off to snorkel once and then were dropped onto the island. For this amount of money I just expected a little more.
The tour was quite nice, but it has one major problem. The people who book the tour are a mix of old and young ones. Most of the times, the old people do not want to stop at the swimming spot. That is what happened with me. They didn't stop at the swimming spot even though my mother and I wanted to stop. Because a majority had said no. Similarly, we couldn't go to the Blue grottos because our Captain had said that it wasn't much to see and convinced again a majority against it. Therefore, while I enjoyed my boat ride to and fro, I didn't enjoy this experience with Travel etc.
Great Day . We spent most of the day on the water, driver was good. We were a little lost when we arrived at Capri, do a little home work before arriving .
Overall we had a great day trip with Travel Etc. They arranged to pick us up near our hotel and take us to the boats. Everything was on time and while there was a little wait to check in and be shown to our boat, it didn't take too long. My two friends and I ended up on the boat with one other family. After our time on Capri, we wanted to swim more than the family did and negotiated with our captain to hit a few swimming spots before we headed back to Sorrento. Our captain, Giacomo, ended our boat trip with some of his mom's homemade limoncello which was the best we tried in all of Amalfi. All in all it was a good trip and would recommend. Capri itself was hot and overcrowded on a July afternoon but that's not Travel Etc.'s fault.
My husband and I did this tour as part of our honeymoon to Italy, our inital trip got canceled and we were able to get into this one last minute. Its a small group. They picked us up from our hotel which was great. We got to swim in the beautiful blue water. Went around Capri pointing out the green grotto & stopping around the famous arch to let everyone get pictures. The blue grotto was closed due to high tide. Once to Capri we got almost 4 hours to roam around; was slightly disappointed they didn't give any information on the island prior, the port it very busy and crowded we found a restaurant to eat but their is a track that actually takes you up the hill, def do this if you go, 2 Euro both ways.
We enjoyed this trip. It was more personal than the other boat trip we did with only ten of us on board. It was also better organised with less of a wait at the harbour. One tip is to remember that you will swim before you have your free time in Capri so you may want to have a change from your wet swim wear! We had lunch then went up the funicular for an ice cream at the top. The time on the island was quite long, but doing both Capri town AND Anacapri would have been too ambitious. If you like it, consider coming back another day...
We booked this tour before our trip to go to Capri island from Sorrento thinking this is the only way to get to the island. Once we arrive in Sorrento, we realized there are many other options like renting out private boat which would be on our time and schedule. A car was supposed to pick us up from our hotel to the dock. We got an email the night before as to what time to be ready for pickup. We waited for more than an hour until the car showed up. It was very inconvenient considering it would have taken us less time to head to the dock on our own. Once we got to the dock, we had to wait longer until our boats were announced. At this point we have wasted 3 hours of time that could have been spent exploring Capri. Unfortunately, we had lot of older people on our boat and they didn't want music, didn't want to drink, didn't want to swim. This was extremely annoying as one of the reasons we were interested in this tour was based on the reviews we read at the time of booking about the snorkling, appetizers, drinks, music and swimming time in the grotto. They did not do a good job with separating the old people from younger people in order to ensure everyone will enjoy their time. We actually heard the same issue from many others once we got to Capri. All in all, it was a smooth ride to Capri and back. They did give us some chips as appetizers but that was it. A bit of description of what we are looking at from the boat staff. If I go again, I will definitely get my own boat so I can have the freedom of enjoying my time with my preferences.
It is worth paying a bit extra to get a nice boat and fewer people on board. We had 12. Also book it early in your vacation as our original trip was cancelled due to bad weather. The boat was good fun as it was still a bit rough and we got sprayed whilst on deck. When we arrived in Capri it was recommended that we book a semi private bus to take us to anacapri and back. €15 instead of €10 and I recommend you do so as the public buses are no more than cattle trucks and the queues. When you get you only have 1.5 hours and I recommend you go straight to the chair lift as he queues are long and the return trip to the top takes 26 minutes plus time at the top.the views are stunning and the trip is €11, on the way back to Capri you are dropped off in the main square for 1.5 hours and by the time you walk around you have little time to eat this was the only negative of the trip as the ham and cheese bap you were given on board was dreadful.you think 4 hours on the island would be plenty but it disappears quickly. Back on board the last 2 hours we sailed around the island and had a swim. This was a real highlight. Would do again but if you are a family it doesn't come cheap at €99 plus €11 for the chair lift and €15 for the bus.The island is also ultra expensive eg a beer is €9.
wonderful trip , enjoyable tour guide Josi and Mimmo , they are a wonderful team . i'll Recommend them to everyone
Wonderful trip to Capri onboard a lovely boat with a brilliant skipper & 12 other passengers. We went right around the island seeing all the grottos and the wonderful colours in the sea. We’d gladly do the trip again it was that good, worth every euro. Highly Recommend.
We took a full day tour for Capri and Ana Capri. Everything was very nice. Especially our guide Ugo was very kind and helpfull. Thank you Ugo.
We travelled from Sorrento and took a boat for a trip around the island of Capri. We had a wonderful guide called Diego and we saw everything in a matter of hours. There was so much to see and the boat trip really allowed us to make the best use of our time. We saw the grottoes, houses of the rich & famous; our boatman took the boat through the Faraglioni Rocks (I felt that i was in the Dolce & Gabana advert!). then we got a bus to Anacapri at the top of the island and took a cable car to the top. Amazing views. This is a trip not to be missed. :-))
It took 2 hours from when we were picked to getting on the boat. Very badly organised. Never went to the Blue Grotto was told it was :Too Busy" - not happy as that is really the highlight of the tour. Boat driver was very nice.

Defiantly amazing experience. If you can travel or do any tours from Sorrento, I highly recommend by boat. Our driver was very nice, made sure you were having a good time and showed us great sights.

The company that brokered the trip gave us a ridiculous runaound and hours wasted on bus when they could have just given us the address to the boat. We indicated we we're driving into Sorrento and did not want a pickup at the train station. Instead of giving us the address to the boat, they setup a pickup point at a hotel by main port which ended up causing us to take bus which after 30 min of other pickups drove us back across town. Found out later from boat company that they were separate tour company that just adds the bus ride. Guess they had to justify their added costs by giving us the runaound. Even when boat company tried to help get us a private shuttle back in time before parking closed, the bus forced the driver to bring us Meetup and put us back on the bus. What BS. I would recommend booking directly if you have your own transport, even a taxi would have been cheaper and easier to arrange. Boat ride was OK, but guide only talked at 4 spots and then we had to wait an extra 40 minutes on return because of missing passengers. I would not book this trip through online.
we took 10am boat from sorrento port to Capri ,boat ride very comfortable most people were tourists like us but everyone was very friendly as we were waiting for the boat(hydrofoil) to arrive we met Legendary guide Giuseppe and we were so glad we did for a small fee he organized more than we expected the tour of Capri and a shopping and a ride tour of Capri in the chairlifts it was such a mesmerizing ride strongly recommend it,if you meet Giuseppe u will have done well, hire him he comes highly recommended

Although we had a fabulous day, there are some aspects that I wish I was prepared for upfront. The organization in the morning is lacking. Our bus driver got lost and had to stop multiple times for directions. Once we got down to the office, we had to wait in line, then wait again for our number to be called. I thought that was the point of booking in advance. Further, they do not call the numbers in order so if you are 7 and you hear 6, you think you are next only to have them call 2. Once on the boat, the tour guide was amazing and the boat ride was beautiful. Despite saying that snorkeling gear is included, do not expect to have much time to swim. After going on the tour, I understand that it is a lot to fit into one day, but I was not expecting 5 minutes to jump in the water surrounded by dozens of other boats. Capri is extremely crowded, I highly recommend that future guests are warned of the lines to take the bus to Anacapri. We ended up taking a taxi despite having already paid for our bus ticket, but on the way back the taxi line was just as long. Buses kept coming to the stop full, so we took the bus to Capri and decided we would walk down to the Marina. Halfway down, we learned that the path was closed and we had to walk a longer way along the road. After walk/running back, we learned that the group was preparing to leave without us and another group. I was shocked that we were expected to sit around for nearly an hour in the morning and then we were going to be left after being a few minutes late. We finally convinced the group that the other two girls were also trying to get back and were going through a rough time being from Puerto Rico and not knowing whether their family was safe or not. Eventually, we continued our pleasant trip back with the entire group. All in all, Marco was great and I am glad that I did it. I think everyone should experience it once, but I won't be doing it again.

ok, the boat trip and everything related to the boat was wonderful and a real recommendation, but for us personally 4 hours on Capri was too long, but for everyone i am sure it is different! But you have to take this boat trip! Brilliant!!

Great tour with a knowledgeable boat captain. He was safe and informed us of all the major sites.

Overall the day was fabulous despite a few problems which you just have to go with. The plus points centre around a lovey boat trip out and back stopping off around key points of the island for a swim or just relaxing on the boat. The weather was fabulous. the negatives were the land bits. it took over 90 minutes from hotel pick up to getting on the boat. the Italians have the slowest checking in system where every day tripper queues up at once to get sorted by two people. The other negative was Capri in August. It was hot and with tourists I added to this obviously!. It is beautiful island and is probably better appreciated in quieter times. Overall a fabulous day and the trip is worth putting up with the occasional hassle.

Really great time on journey and the island itself. Helped by great weather of course.

Best part was the boat ride, guide was great took good care of us. Town was very crowded on Capri but I guess that's to be expected. Beautiful city be prepared to climb some hills, the tram was a great way to get back down to the boat very inexpensive.

This is a great tour. The captain of our boat was an excellent skipper as well as a charming host. Unfortunately, it rained while we were on the island, but it was still a great day. Not much rain while on the boat. It made us want to go back to Capri again and spend more time.

The boat over was brilliant (although we didn't realise that my wife gets sea sick - definitely bring sea sickness tablets if this is something that affects you). So many beautiful views and plenty of time to explore Capri.

Enjoyed the boat ride and the time in Capri. If you are staying in Sorrento or Positano then this is a great tour to take. We were staying closer to Amalfi and the drive was a bit difficult. We could have taken a boat closer to us.

Great clean boat, had lots of drinks, no snacks though, captain was nice, sites were as promised. Capri was amazing and we got to drive through Il Fraglioni and see all the beautiful grottos.

This was a nice tour but it would have been nice to have someone to give us more of a background and history of the area. While the captain of the boat was polite and took us to see some amazing grottos before arriving in Capri, he wasn't much of a talker. He then dropped us in Capri and told us to meet at 5 p.m. So we didn't have much guidance after that. Luckily, Capri is a small island and it wasn't hard to figured out. David and Mc Nelly Torres

I'm not usually critical and look for good points rather than complain, but when a tour description doesn't match the service I don't feel satisfied or willing to recommend the tour.
We were picked up on time however, waited 45 minutes before boarding without explanation. We were then taken to Capri and dropped off with advice to return to the wharf in 4 hours, there was no explanation or guidance on what to see or how to get there, as I was on a tour that offered professional guidance I hadn't researched the transport options or main points of interest to visit.
We found our way and asked the information office for maps and advice, we particularly wanted to visit the blue grotto although was given no support or arrangement to travel to this attraction.
Pick up was 4 pm, we waited on the wharf for 30 minutes with no shade at high temperatures.
We then took a tour around the island although there was no itinery communication or commentary, we didn't know there was an opportunity to snorkel and had already changed from our costumes, however there were no face masks available, only snorkels.
The listed professional guidance was non existent, a 13 year old boy was the only English speaking crew person. Snacks were not provided or snorkeling equipment but the most disappointing was the lack of a professional guide and the lost opportunity to visit the Blue Grotto. I feel cheated by this experience.

Brilliant tour. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

Organization of 10 Heartfelt congratulations I booked 2 boat trips AMALFI and POSITANO and then CAPRI really punctual and courteous as well as professional.
Great experience from start to finish 'organization top sympathy top what to say highly recommended
Gracias
Perfect organization. Pick-up in the morning at your hotel and boarding at the port of Piano di Sorrento at scheduled times. Pleasant sailing to Capri with enchanting views of the Sorrento coast and the Gulf of Naples. Arrival on the island and free time to discover Capri. In the afternoon boat tour around the island to discover places of unique beauty. Unforgettable passage between the stacks. Return to Piano di Sorrento and transfer to the hotel. All very serious, professional and precise. Really good organization.
From the departure in those boats you enjoy the ride, everything is very beautiful, it is worth dedicating a full day
