Private Amalfi Coast By Car And By Boat Day Trip

I cannot recommend this company enough. Our tour was supposed to start at the Salerno Cruise Port, but we found out the day before that our Cruise was unable to dock at Salerno and was docking in Naples instead. I called them immediately and they were able to accommodate the change. Our guide and driver were phenomenal. Driving through the Amalfi Coast is not an easy feat, but our driver PINO made us feel super safe. Both he and our guide, Melania, took us to Ravello, Amalfi and Positano. They both gave us information along the way and pointed out interesting things. I was very worried about making it back to the ship on time, since our port was now further, but they were both very cognizant about the time and made sure to keep an eye on traffic conditions, and made sure we had plenty of time to return. They were both so professional and friendly and accommodated to all of our needs. At Amalfi, they made reservations for us at a beautiful restaurant, where we can an amazing lunch. Melania and Pino helped us have an unforgettable day and we are very thankful for such a beautiful experience that our family will never forget. I highly recommend any tour with this company.

We started our day with an Italian Carmine tour guide, but ended the day with our new Italian friend, and newest addition to our famiglia...Manuel! Words cannot adequately express what kind of a day we experienced with Manuel driving us through the Amalfian coastline! To begin, Manuel is just a truly special human being from head to toe and he puts his heart and soul into everything in life, including his profession! Look, just forget about Venice, ok? Manuel is a singing gondelier on wheels for the entire Amalfi coast! He is passionate about EVERYTHING: music, singing, Italy, Napoli, soccer, the MBA, Kobe Bryant, his amazing famiglia, Italian food, and actually people in general (and mind you, not in that order)! Manuel has a joy for life that is simply infectious which is not that common in ANY profession. Having lived in 9 countries on 4 different continents, we have never experienced ANYTHING or ANYONE like Manuel. He made our trip to the Amalfian coast the most memorable, the most incredible, and the "funnest" experience of our whole lives. Seriously, the best tour guide on the planet! Yeah, of course knowledgeable, of course an incredible driver that puts safety first, which is paramount around these trecherous cliffs, punctual, professional...oh yeah, absolutely. But this guy...this guy will give you an experience you will NEVER forget. He just loves what he does...and you will reap what he sows and guarantee an experience of a lifetime. Echo is a delight. We had a lovely time with her. She was engaging and fun. Our kids enjoyed the experience.

This was a great experience. The drivers have so much history of where they are and share it with you. Our driver, Michael, took us to some places we would never have seen without his knowledge. We also did a private Rome tour. Our driver was Marco and I cannot recommend him enough! He was amazing! Lastly, we did a private transfer to Venice. It was the best way to go! Echo is the person I emailed with to set everything up with! She is a gem and goes above and beyond to accommodate! 5⭐️s Best company, service and knowledge of the places you will see!!!

Marco was great! Excellent commentator and took us to all the desired locations. The place he took us for lunch had a spectacular view of the sea.

We were fortunate to have Echo as our guide and we found her to be extremely knowledgeable about the history and area.

Manuel says he is “just” a driver….but he was both a superb, entertaining, fun, knowledgeable ….driver AND guide! What a wonderful day with a truly fabulous person…. everything from knowing the best and beautiful routes avoiding high traffic and showing us sites and just general everyday things and historical things, wonderful place to eat, all the spectacular viewpoints…he even has truly a wonderful voice as he sang several well known Italian songs, Pavarotti, Andre Bocelli, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin!11. Our driver Luca was very kind and informative. He drove us to Amalfi coast, Positano, and to a wonderful restaurant overlooking Sorrento bay. He was thoughtful and made several stops for photo opportunities. Would highly recommend this tour with Luca.

This is an exceptional tour if you’d like to get an overview of the Amalfi coast and see it both on land and by boat. Our tour guide was Echo and she was fantastic. Very informative. Eleven of us were on a family vacation for our mother's 90th birthday. She always dreamed of seeing the Amalfi coast. Carmine treated her like a queen as our private van wound its way through the curves and switchbacks of the coast road. He personally escorted my mother at the stops to ensure she was safe. We stopped at a limoncello plant in Sorrento, followed by spectacular views of Positano, lunch at the cliff-side Calajanara restaurant, and finally to Amalfi. Instead of returning to Naples and our ship the way we came, we drove over the mountain, through the scenic national park. It was a fabulous day overall. Carmine is an excellent guide, accommodating and flexible. We did sacrifice the boat ride due to time constraints. I would highly recommend this tour. Mark G.

May 2025 Our family of four had a fantastic day touring the Amalfi Coast with SeeAmalfi. We chose SeeAmalfi after our friends used their service earlier this year, and were extremely satisfied. We booked the car and boat tour which picked us up at the Naples cruise port promptly at 7:45 in a very nice Mercedes van. Our guide Martina was fantastic! She went into great detail about the entire region as we drove to Ravello. Our driver Guiseppe stopped at many of the scenic overlooks for us to photograph. We had about an hour in both Ravello and Amalfi to explore which were both very beautiful! We then took an hour open boat tour from Amalfi going up and down the coast 30 mins each way. Martina booked us a fabulous lunch on the patio at a restaurant with the most spectacular views! On our way back we were able to stop for some amazing photos of Positano and other sights along the coast. I would like to mention how great it was to have Martina and Guiseppe as our guide and driver. Martina is extremely knowledgeable of the area and knew exactly where to take our family after asking us a few questions about what we wanted to see and do. The places she picked for photos and lunch were breathtaking. Guiseppe made us feel very safe on the winding roads of Amalfi despite the traffic and crowds. I would not drive these roads myself as they are extremely narrow and clogged with traffic. He also found us great places to stop safely and get stunning photos! This was the best day of our vacation! If you are looking for the best of Amalfi, book with SeeAmalfi! You will not be disappointed!

Our driver Luca and guide Marika promptly met us at pickup point. They were very nice and made sure to get our input on places to go, photo spots and shopping needs. Marika speaks English very well and very knowledgeable. Luca is a great driver navigating such small winding roads. Truly enjoyed the boat ride along the Amalfi coast. Luca and the tour were excellent. Wouldn't want to drive the Amalfi road myself. Boat ride is a very basic out and back... basically for photos and to get a different perspective of Amalfi and Positano.

Great day on the beautiful Amalfi coast. Our guide Echo was professional, knowledgeable and so friendly. We had a great connection with her from the very first hello. We were limited with time and this tour was simply amazing. We took a high speed train in from Rome to Naples did the Amalfi tour trained back to Rome with plenty of time for dinner Our tour guide Echo was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area and provided such an authentic Amalfi experience Some of the many highlights included ceramics in Ravello, the most delicious lemon sorbet in Amalfi, a wonderful scenic shaded boat tour where our guide made my 10 and 7 year old feel extra special, the Limoncellos!!! The day was capped w a late lunch in Sorrento with fresh produce straight from the restaurants farm with a tranquil view of mountains and sea Echo knew the best places for pictures and would take them for us with a sense of pride If strapped for time… this is the tour!.

Echo was absolutely extraordinary. She immediately asked what we had hoped to see and do. We had my older Mom who has difficulties getting around and she was so accommodating to make sure she had a good time while us three still got to do a lot. My teenage daughter wanted shopping, food, and fun. She made sure she got everything and more. My husband and I were able to see everything and more because of Echo. Echo truly made the trip above and beyond. If I were to come back I would request her every single time. She took pictures, made sure we had all the Insta worthy photos and had the most memorable day. The place she picked for lunch was exceptional. Everything she did for us was absolutely amazing. Thank you Echo for giving us the best day out of our 11 day vacation.

We had such a good time with Manuel as our guide. We skipped the boat tour and he took us to see so many beautiful places along the Amalfi coast. After spending the day before sweating in Rome, enjoying the luxury of an air conditioned van and beautiful sites was such a treat. I don’t think we would have been able to see as much without the flexibility to decide what we wanted to do. Manuel prioritized what we wanted, which is what great customer service is! We were also taken to the best pasty shop and a quiet non touristy restaurant in Minori. We would love to come back after such a great tour!

This was an amazing experience. Carmine and Marika were exceptional guides. They tailored the experience to our interests by asking questions and getting to know us. They learned that we preferred to stay away from the high tourist areas and gave us an experience of the Amalfi coast that was authentic, peaceful, romantic, and pure fun. They went above and beyond expectation and sacrificed greatly for us to have a wonderful time. They were also punctual, responsible, and spoke fantastic English. The day was rich in vistas, history, culture, and food. We will never forget this once in a lifetime adventure.

We had a fantastic time on the Amalfi coast - highly recommend this tour! Carmine, our guide, treated us like celebrities. He planned our day to make the most of our time and took us to unique places! He modified our activities based on some walking limitations of members of our group - which really made a difference because they could experience the beautiful area. I booked this tour because of the combination of land and water tours and our whole group lived it! Amalfi is beautiful by land but even more stunning by water! Carmine took care of everything- and made a last minute stop at a local family- owned limoncello factory. Don’t miss this tour!

This tour was truly an amazing experience! Our guide, Manuel, was terrific. We enjoyed conversation throughout the day and he sang song for us:) He made sure we had time to walk some of the small towns along away. He reminded us that the day was fully customizable. The boat ride, although not private, was spectacular. Don’t miss out on that. Seeing the Amalfi coast from the water is a must. The photos will not do it justice, they don’t capture the true beauty. Arrive early for the boat portion so ensure that you get a seat on the top deck! (Very back row recommended to you can get the perfect photos!) After lunch he took us to a quick lunch for Pizza and the view was breath taking. We spent nearly 3 weeks in Europe with tours almost everyday and this was our number one tour by far!!! Don’t miss out and request Manuel - you won’t regret it! He’s a really great person. We can’t wait to see you again Amalfi and Manuel:)

The lack of 5 stars for this tour has absolutely nothing to do with our driver and guide, Giovanni (sp?). He was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with any questions. At each of our stops, he gave us perfect instructions and directions for where and when to meet back up with him. He gets 5 stars. My only problem with this tour was the boat portion. I picked this particular tour because it said in the description that "You will view the beauty of Capri at a much closer view." I knew we did not have time to visit Capri, but I thought at least with this tour, we will see it from the boat. Our 40 minute boat ride took place in the middle of the Amalfi Coast - many miles away from Capri and absolutely no chance of seeing Capri at all. Just don't like that it was advertised to view Capri, and that was never a possibility.

We were taken to places we didn't even know we wanted to go. Our tour guide Echo was fantastic. Due to an oil spill on a road we were originally meant to take, she had to alter the itinerary and we could not have asked for anything better. We were treated to being driven the entire length of Amalfi Coast from Vietri sul Mare to Positano. Morning tea at Minori, best Pizza ever at a tiny place on a cliff with unbelievable views just outside Amalfi then a delicious lemoncello spritz overlooking Positano. Echo gave us the perfect day. She was so enthusiastic sharing her incredible knowledge of the area. Highly recommend a tour with Echo.

Underwhelming at best. You are rushed from site to site and there is no time to have a nice lunch anywhere. The boat ride is packed, uncomfortable and not worth the time or money.

Carmine is the absolute best tour guide we have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and fun. He even took us to out of the way places to make up for the sea part of our excursion since boats were not running during the off season. Highly recommend!

What a perfect day we had in Napoli and visiting the Amalfi Coast. From driving up the mountain and seeing all the small towns, agriculture and old school ways of harvesting, to visiting the beautiful town of Ravello for coffee and pastries, to then working our way down to the Amalfi Coast for some shopping and exploring before an hour long boat ride where we got to see the true beauty of the coast. We then were taken to this hole in the wall restaurant that sits on top of a cliff for the best pizza we had while in Italy. With all this being said, the absolutely best part of our day was spending time with our guide Manuel. What a pleasure it is to meet someone that truly loves life. Not only was he knowledgeable and informative, but extremely entertaining. The man can sing!!! We highly recommend Manual and Carmine tour company and will definitely reach out when we visit again.

My family and I did a 2-week vacation through various areas in Europe and this was by far the highlight-- not only because of the beautiful scenery but because of our amazing tour guide, Manuel. From the minute we met him at the port, we knew we were in for a treat! The towns of Ravello, Amalfi, and Minori were absolutely beautiful. I loved that we didn't just go to where all the tourists go -- it felt more like where locals would visit (besides Amalfi, but you can't not go there-- it's breathtaking!). He also took us to a great local restaurant for lunch! At the end of the tour, he knew we wanted some authentic Neopolitan-style pizza, so he dropped us off at one of his recommendations in Naples (SO GOOD!). We loved the tour from beginning to end. We had a beautiful day, even though it was very hot weather, we were able to enjoy thanks to Marco. With AC Van & time in Amalfi on the boat, Marco helped us maximize our time with the easiest route to take, helping us along the way, and telling us about the history of Amalfi. Marco was very accommodating and friendly, and we enjoyed having him pick us up and drop us off at every stop. If i ever return to Amalfi, I will request Marco again personally.

This is a must do tour! Our tour agent Isabella was amazing and spoke English perfectly, not to forget our driver, he was great driving in the curvy mountains. We took a ride through the mountains on our way to the Amalfi coast and stopped in Ravello. Ravello was quaint and beautiful. When we got to the Amalfi Coast, Isabella our tour agent, made sure we got our boat tickets and showed us around. After our boat ride she took us to a restaurant with a stunning view and amazing food. Don’t hesitate, book this tour.
