From your accommodation or from the port of Naples your driver will pick you up and will head to the Amalfi coast. You can make a stop along the way for photos. The Amalfi Drive is a famous Winding road with breathtaking views of the beautiful stretch of coastline on the Mediterranean where we will stop in a number of places giving you opportunities to take memorable photos. UNESCO awarded the Amalfi Coast a well deserved spot on the World Heritage list in 1997. From the Amalfi coast we will drive in the Center of Positano. very famous vertical village, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, thanks to its picturesque landscapes.
POSITANO We will drive you to the heart of Positano, where you can stroll through the narrow streets to the main beach passing by stylish boutiques, outdoor cafes and restaurants. Positano has been featured in several movies including the very famous ‘Under the Tuscan Sun’. Also very well known for the Linen, Handmade Sandals & Ceramics. The church of Santa Maria Assunta is also worth visiting which features a dome made of Majolica tiles as well as the thirteenth century Byzantine icon of a black Madonna.
When you leave Positano the driver will head towards the coastal road to Sorrento which is about a 45 minute journey. We can stop for a few photos before arriving in the center of Sorrento where you can explore the area and enjoy nice lunch.
SORRENTO Sorrento is the birth place of the poet Torquato Tasso and the main square was named after him where the driver will stop so you can have time to enjoy the historical area which is full of quaint cobbled lanes and a church on every corner and a fantastic mix of designer and souvenir shops. In Sorrento you will stop for a typical and authentic, Italian lunch that you can organize with your driver.
When leaving Sorrento, you will see the beautiful view of Naples and Vesuvio from the coastal road. When you arrive in Pompeii, the driver will stop for a couple of hours at the famous ruins of Pompeii.
POMPEII The Roman town of Pompeii, on the volcano's southern slopes, was caught unawares by a massive eruption in AD 79, which smothered the town, its people and their goods and chattels preserved for centuries, the site has been, and continues to be, excavated, so as you walk up and down the street you can peer into shop and private homes, read advertisements and graffiti and generally get a unique picture of daily life in Roman times. *We can arrange a private licensed English speaking guide in Pompeii for an extra charge. The price for the English speaking guide is 150 Euros for a 2 hour private tour.
Ending your visit to Pompeii, your driver will then head back to Naples Port or your accommodation.

We are on a Mediterranean cruise, and wanted to make the most of our day at the port of Naples. We searched a range of options and providers, and Vittorio and his team at Rosato provided us with an excellent solution - a drive to the Amalfi coast, spending some time in Positano, then lunch in Sorrento, and then we were dropped off at Herculaneum for a couple of hours. Herculaneum in many ways is more interesting, and more suitable for someone with limited time available, than Pompeii. Our guide Ciro was excellent and absolutely prompt with pick-up times, and all in all we had an excellent day and felt that our visit to Naples was time very well spent.

Save your time searching and book Rosato now! Our family of five was on a summer cruise and we had a book private tour/car transfer in each of Florence, Rome, Naples, and Sicily. Our day with Aaron and Rosato Private Tour was easily head and shoulders above the rest of the other three experiences. I wish we could clone them and bring them to the other cities! We booked directly with Rosato private tours for pick up at the cruise pier in Salerno for a party of 7. Our driver Cirro, was waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship. Vittorio Rosato had let us know that Cirro would be waiting for us at 8:00. It was super easy to find him and he was parked close. All communications with Vittorio prior to the trip were pleasant with prompt replies and great instructions and information, We were taken to Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii. Vittorio arranged for a private guided tour at Pompeii. Our guide Luisa was wonderful. She was so knowledgable and told us so much that we would not have been able to get from the audio tour. She was efficient so that we were able to see the most important areas in the limited amount of time that we had. Overall it was a great day! Cirro navigated the traffic on the Amalfi Coast and got us where we needed to be in a comfortable air conditioned Mercedes van and gave us information about the areas we were traveling through. I would recommend the company without hesitation. I just wish we had a longer time to visit!

Aronne met us at the Naples port for our tour. We first took a drive along the Amalfi Coast to Positano, where we had time to explore on our own. Then it . was off to Sorrento for a walk through the shopping district and lunch at a marvelous pizzeria that Aronne recommended. From there, off to Pompeii, where we spent several hours exploring the ruins before meeting with Aronne for the drive back to the port. Despite our taking a bit too much time in Pompeii, we got back to the port in plenty of time. Aronne was delightful. He was both knowledgeable and very personable. As someone who grew up and still lives on the Amalfi Coast, he was a treasure trove of local lore. When we got to talking about Neapolitan songs, he called his teenaged trumpet-playing son, who found the sheet music for "O Sole Mio," and then called back and gave us a live recital. Utterly charming! I would unhesitatingly recommend Rosato to anyone visiting the Naples area. They go above and beyond to provide a personalized and unforgettable experience.
We are a family of 3 and had 2 different tours. The first was a private tour that began in Naples at the Archaeological Museum of Naples. We had lunch and from there continued with a private tour to Pompeii. The tour company arranged a private guide for both tours. From Pompeii the tour company took us to our VRBO in the Amalfi coast. The guide and driver were amazing. Everyone worked like clock work and communication with the tour company was fantastic! We also arranged a separate tour of the Amalfi coast. Cirro was our driver both days and Pina was our guide at the museum and Pompeii. Both were amazing and made our tours memorable. We recommend this tour company 100%!
We loved the itinerary which included an olive oil tour and tasting, a wine tasting in a lemon grove, a mozzarella cheese making class and a pizza making experience. All of the various hosts were fabulous and the cost was very reasonable. The most memorable highlight was our driver Aaron. He was so personable, knowledgeable and just a fun person to be with. We had such a great time that we booked a second tour a few days later that included fishing villages, Amalfi, and Revello.

From start to finish a smooth experience. We booked our private excursion almost 7 months in advance. Vittorio Rosato, was clear, concise and did exactly what he said he would do. Ciro, our tour guide was the right combination of everything, He shared with us so much interesting information and at the same time gave us time to enjoy all the splendor and beauty of the Amalfi coast in peaceful quiet. He arranged the best tour guide in Pompeii (Franseco) as well as a wonderful restaurant to eat lunch in, Our tour started about an hour late ( no fault of Ciro's) but he never made us feel rushed and we enjoyed every moment. We were hustling to get back to the boat on time but got there with 30 minutes to spare. I highly recommend Rosato tours they promise and they delivered an absolutely perfect day! BRAVO!!!!!!!!
The Rosato gastro food tour was great!!! Our tour guide Mossimo was amazing !!! He was knowledgeable , funny, and very accommodating to all our needs!!! His van was spotlesss!! Rosella at the Olive Factory was fabulous!! She gave us a new appreciation for olive oil!! So many delicious choices!! Julia at the wine tasting was just as fabulous and the wine was SO GOOD! And a very generous tasting…3 white and 3 red!! And aperitifs to go with it!! The mozzarella /pizza making was the icing on the cake!! And we got aprons as souvenirs!!! Without a doubt a 10 out of 10 experience and I can’t recommend it enough!!!

Such a wonderful Company! Easy to communicate with, prompt and kind. We booked a private car to pick us up in Naples, take us to Pompeii and then onto Positano. Our driver Aaron was so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. The car was impeccable and comfortable. Both myself and my 11 year old tend to get car sick and I was worried driving the curvy roads of the amalfi coast but Aaron was so smooth even amid the sometimes hectic drivers around us. After Pompeii we requested to stop in another town along the way to get lunch and gelato. He took us to the most delicious restaurant and one of the best gelato stops of our whole journey. I definitely recommend this company.
