Pompeii Tour From Naples: Skip-the-line Entry + Guided Visit

Elisa was wonderful beyond words. Her explanations of life in Pompeii were detailed and interesting. The visit more than exceeded our expectations

First of all we booked a 9:00 AM small group (8 people) tour. What we got was a tour time change to 10:00 AM which caused us to miss another tour we had booked. When we were finally picked up about 20 minutes late we stopped at several more stops to pick up additional people. When we finally got to the tour destination we were over an hour late and were grouped together with 25 others. The tour guide's English was not very good and he did not use any hearing enhancement device (although the guide company lied about that fact to Trip Advisor when I tried to get a partial refund). I believe the guide was knowledgeable about Pompeii but between the lack of hearing enhancement and the poor English we didn't get much out of the tour. It was a very HOT day and the tour guide did not provide any water like many other tours we have been on. I'm not sure if we will go through Trip Advisor in the future because they use independent services and seem to side with them over the customer when issues come up. We have better luck using Tours By Locals.

Was told to meet at a time and they change it. Stood waiting for over a hour. Very unrealiable still waiting very dissapointed.

Pompeii was absolutely amazing and our guide, Younis was very knowledgeable and funny and likable and added to our experience at pompeii He deserves a payrise! 😊 He also helpfully arranged our transport back for our journey home which we was not expecting so we thank him for that too.

Super experience Marco was a great guide and super informative. Antonio our driver was punctual and took great care of us. He should get a raise just for driving the roads to Mount Vesuvius they are brutal but he drove them like a pro! Be warned though the hike up the mountain is not for couch potato’s.

We booked a guide but seen the older stuff last time, so we went on our own to see the new buildings unearthed, was an amazing time.

A little bit chaotic at start as buses sorted out but a lovely sightseeing opportunity on the way to Pompeii. Our guide Antonio was fantastic. Took care of his group making sure we were keeping up ok and pointing out possible trip areas. He was witty, informative and captured the feel of what it must have been like to live in Pompeii and the aftermath of the volcanic eruption. Great day out!!

They didn’t show up! Naples Bay Tour was communicating up til morning of scheduled (and paid for) excursion…then…nothing! 🤨 Asking for a refund now.

The tour guide was amazing,Maria. She was knowledgeable. The small group however was not small as advertised. It said up to 20 people but we eadily had 30ish. The transportation also had long stops in between. But overall was ok.

We paid for, and were told we were getting a PRIVATE tour for just myself and my son, and when we got to pompeii, we were told we would have to wait (possibly for hours) for more people to join because it was 'off season'. so we had to do the tour ALONE. We paid $190 and all we got was a ride to/from pompeii. Terrible customer service, and we are disputing with our cc company. Stay away from them.

Perfect organization from the start. The transference arrived on time at the meeting point. Arrived in Pompeii we were greeted in a kind and smiling way by what would have been our guide. All the time no one in our group was distracted, on the contrary, the guide involved us in the story managing to keep high attention on what he explained; very professional and competent he used simple language and understandable for all participants (people who did not know each other and with the presence of 4 school children not older than 12 years).

No respect for schedules, tour operator to flee. No explanation for the delay or apology. 1 hour late pick up at the Inn and another 30 mm late with the Guide. Day wasted because we could not do our afternoon excursion.

No respect for schedules so day off!!! It’s impossible to make our other afternoon visit! Lamentable!! The bus was supposed to pick us up at 9am for the first visits it arrived at 10am without explanation and without excuse Arrival in Pompeii at 10:45 we waited for other people another 30 minutes! a shame So the tour started at 11:15!! instead of 9:30 And the return to Naples at 1:45 instead of 12:00 Obviously the telephone number indicated at the Reservation did not answer Tour operator to escape absolutely if you plan other things during the day

Well-organized tour, very convenient transport Service (the driver picked us up from the B&B), Alex, the excavation guide, competent, friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommended.
