Enzo, Fabio and Luca were great and this was an amazing trip. We walked around Pompei and had a great lunch and wine tasting.

2 hours was plenty of time for the highlights at Pompeii for me. It was very helpful to have the guide, we would have been lost without Anthony. The best part of the trip was the wine tour, tasting, and lunch. Met a fabulous group of friends during the wine tasting and enjoyed every last sip. Salute! The drive back to Naples was so relaxed and fun, we spent the timing singing and listening to various Italian tunes. Great singing Fabio!!

I want to rate this a 2 but Pompeii itself was amazing and lunch on Vesuvius was outstanding. The food was delicious with excellent portions, the wine tasting was lovely, and the views were beautiful. However, Giromondo Tours combined an English speaking tour group (what we signed up for) with an Italian speaking tour group so each stop in Pompeii took twice as long which means we saw half as many sites since we had to stand around and listen to the same information in Italian. The last half hour was very rushed and before we knew it, we were outside the gates in the street - no museum, no gift shop. We were told we had 10 minutes to "shop" at the tourist stalls in the street. The tour was very disappointing. I feel as though I should receive a partial refund as we did not receive the tour we paid for but that won't make up for all that we missed at Pompeii. I've taken many Viator Tours and have always had great experiences, except for this one. My recommendation is to avoid Giromondo Tours completely or, if they're your only option, somehow obtain a guarantee that the tour will be held only in the language you paid for so you don't miss out on anything. Viator always lists the actual tour company who organizes the tour in the description before you purchase it so it's easy to find out which tour group will manage it.

We were picked up at a central location and taken to Pompeii from Napoli. Our driver was amazing in the crazy traffic. And our tour guide, Daniel or Danny (one was driver one was guided cant remember who was who) was funny, personable, and interactive with the whole group. When we got to Pompeii the guide was very good and full of interesting information and didnt go too fast so everyone got to listen. Afyer we went to the wine tasting and the views and food were beyond divine.

Tour guides were super nice, but the Pompeii tour itself felt a little rushed and we left earlier than expected. It was meant to be 2 hours but it was 1 hour 30mins ish. We were told we were going to queue for the museum at the end and were told about the dog and family to see. But then we were told the queue was too long, and the bus was waiting for us. This was confusing as according to my watch it was early.

Worst experience! We had a tour confirmed for 0900 and Giromondo tours never showed up. We tried to call them and they did not answer. Trip Advisor was able to reach them one hour later and they cancelled our tour. There were several of us that were waiting. They never reached out or explained what happened.

Do not book this!! They are unreliable!! They canceled on us last minute and did not notify us at all!! Leaving us at the pickup spot for an hour. We showed up thirty minutes early and did not know the trip was canceled until we reached out to TripAdvisor an hour later. Only after then did we get an email saying we were refunded. Would not recommend booking this.

The tour operator cancelled the tour twenty minutes after the pick up time. No communication before the cancellation. No reason provided for the cancellation. If you actually want to go on the tour, do not use this company.

The ride was pleasant and shorter than I thought. Pompeii was great! The winery was inviting and had a beautiful setting!

We really enjoyed the Pompeii Tour and Vesuvius Wine Tasting with Lunch from Naples. Enzo and Raphael were our shuttle guide and driver, and both were friendly, organized, and made the day run smoothly. Ariana was our Pompeii guide, and she was very knowledgeable and personable throughout the tour. One thing we especially liked was splitting the day between Pompeii and the vineyard visit. Pompeii is massive, so this tour gives more of a high-level 2-hour overview rather than an in-depth exploration, but it was still very informative and a great introduction to the site. After the walking portion, the vineyard tour and wine tasting were a really nice surprise and the perfect way to relax. The setting was beautiful, the wine was excellent, and lunch was enjoyable. Enzo also went out of his way to make the experience memorable and was kind enough to give small gifts to guests, which was a thoughtful touch and very appreciated. A couple helpful logistics notes for future guests: the tour started exactly on time, but the advertised 9:00 AM start time actually means departure from Naples to Pompeii. Hotel pickups take place roughly between 8:10 AM and 8:50 AM, and you won’t receive your exact pickup time until less than 24 hours before the tour. If you’re arriving by cruise ship, the closest pickup point is about a 15-minute walk from the pier. Overall, this was a well-balanced day trip with a good mix of history, scenery, food, and wine. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Pompeii without spending the entire day walking ruins.

Absolutely worth booking! The Pompeii tour was fascinating and incredibly well organized. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the ancient city to life in a way that made the history feel real instead of overwhelming. After exploring the ruins, the winery experience was the perfect balance of relaxation and scenery. The lunch was delicious, the wine tasting was generous, and the views near Mount Vesuvius were stunning. It was such a great mix of culture, history, food, and wine all in one day. Long day, but completely worth it and one of the highlights of our Italy trip.

Peppe, Victorio and Arianna are amazing guides. We feel that we got the grand tour of the best places with the best information. The bus was comfortable and cool on a warm day & the three guides worked together harmoniously. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water. There are plenty of bathrooms and some shady spots. I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour, easy to follow. There was alot of history there and so much to take in. Glad we went. The pick up and drop off was convenient just sad we weren't able to do the lunch.

We were picked up promptly and got onto a nice mini bus, not far to pompeii and pepe was a great host, Pietro drove expertly and didn't put a foot wrong. Pompeii was really good and Walter was a great guide full of information. Wine and lunch was fantastic. All in all enjoyed by all Thank you Andrew

We did not experience the Vesuvius/lunch portion of this tour. The tour operator told us there was a problem with the winery, but in actuality they didn't have enough people for this tour, so they added us to another group. I asked for a 50% refund as we only got half of the experience and was refunded less than 25%, which is pretty unacceptable. Beyond that, the tour of Pompeii itself was fairly lackluster. There are some very famous frescos and sites that we did not see. Our guide Walter, was rather bland and kind of rude to many of the participants and, especially when explaining that we didn't have time to see the most popular things. The tour assistant, Fabrizio, was super personable and Charlie the driver was nice. Unfortunately- they were not the ones giving the actual tour. Finally, we booked an English-speaking tour, but the tour we were provided was in English and Italian. No shade, but waiting for the guide to translate the explanation at each site, might be why we ran out of time to see the most popular things at Pompeii.

We were instructed to arrive at our meeting point at 8.15 but the bus didn't arrive until nearly 9, without explanation, which was a shame. When we reached Pompeii the guide was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, willing to respond to questions. It would have been nice to spend longer exploring Pompeii even though it was raining heavily. We didn't see the amphitheatre or house of the faun, for instance. The restaurant and wine-tasting experience was good - great view of the bay, even if covered by storm clouds - food very nice, excellent wine. They were a little pushy on purchasing the wine but I suppose that's how they make their money!

Such a nice trip to Pompej with Francesco and there with our guide Andrea! Pickup points have good locations, the minibus was on time and the informations during the drive to and from Pompej were intetesting and funny. Thank you, we will book again

It was a good experience! Pepe, Petro, and Walter were lovely and very helpful. Pompeii is expansive and it is useful to have the guide. The lunch and wine tasting they organized was also lovely and delicious. It is a 3 course meal with a tasting of 4 wines. What a lovely day!

Our day at Pompeii and Sorrentino Winery was absolutely unforgettable! The guided tour through Pompeii was fascinating, our guide was so knowledgeable, bringing history to life with stories and details that made it easy to imagine the ancient city as it once was. After exploring, we headed to Sorrentino Winery on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius for a wine tasting and lunch, and it was perfection. The setting was stunning, surrounded by vineyards and views of the volcano. The wines were exceptional (I ordered 6 bottles to be shipped to me at home), and the meal was excellent, from the fresh pasta to the local cheeses and olive oil, it was one of the best we had in Italy. Everything was well-organized and relaxing from start to finish. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting it was the perfect mix of history, culture, and incredible food and wine!

Was a great tour for if you don't have a lot of time to experience the area 🙂 we were picked up and driven by Giovanni and given a tour on the way by Andrejka. Wele spent a few hours being shown the highlights of Pompeii by Walter before going to a lovely winery in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius! A lot of delicious wine and tasty food, after a morning of seeing the buried city.

This is a fabulous trip and a great way to see and do a lot in a day. Our guide Fabrizio and driver Daniel were very good throughout the day and our Pompeii guide Salvatore was very knowledgeable and took care of us. The vineyard tour and tasting - and food - was excellent - the views were outstanding! Sommelier Benjamin very entertaining and knew his stuff! All in all a 5 star experience! Highly recommend!

We had a great experience! Francesco was super knowledgeable and really pleasant to deal with. Just a heads-up — pick-up times can vary depending on where you’re staying, so double-check if you’re travelling on a cruise ship as timing can be a bit tight. Our cruise ship docked at 8:00 and our pick up time was scheduled for 8:05 although the excursion description mentioned 9:00 am start. We were notified of this the day before.

Pepe and Giovanni were fantastic. This is a can’t-miss experience. Our driver and tour assistant and tour guide were very skillful. We had an unforgettable time walking through vineyards with a sommelier and a wonderful lunch with unbelievable views of the vineyard and Mt. Vesuvius.

This was an unforgettable experience, the tour guy gave us detailed information that we could understand, and be able to share with our family and friends. I love the parts of him, stopping getting us opportunity to take pictures things like that, and then continue even though we walked a lot it wasn’t terribly exhausting. Thank you Henry

This tour was exceptional from the start! Modestino our driver was kind and knowledgeable and the minibus was comfortable and safe! The Pompei tour with Walter as our guide was fantastic and the length was just right given the warm weather and the ease of walking thru the exhibits! The lunch and wine tasting at Sorrentino was a highlight of our trip to Naples! Umberto, the sommelier personally walked us through this beautiful property, and he led us thru 4 different wines paired with our lunch! The food was wonderful, and we even bought some wines to take home with us! I highly recommend this tour for adults, and especially couples who will enjoy the romantic lunch setting and the wines!

Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Naples. She had a great sense of humor and entertained us with stories about the Naples area. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Pompei. Our favorite part was the wine tour, tasting and lunch that followed the Pompei visit. It was a very lovely experience. I highly recommend this excursion.

I highly recommend this tour. Pickup was 5 minutes from our hotel. Giocomo was a fantastic guide very knowledgeable friendly staff at winery. Beautiful scenery. Interesting Presentation then 4 pours of delicious wine. Tasty fresh food

Small group, well organised, both the driver and the tour guide were very knowledgeable. The wine tasting was fantastic! It was a very good addition to the tour. Highly recommend the vinicola and its wines! The tour in Pompeii was straight to the point, the guide showed the highlights making links with history and geography. No wasting time walking around without knowing where to go.

Pompeii tour was amazing, guide really knew his history and was very passionate about it...tour was only 2 hrs so don't get to see very much. Wine tasting was ok but expected a longer tour of Pompeii for the price. Could probably find better value for money.

I greatly appreciated the timeliness and kindness of the driver. I wish I could remember his name because he truly was excellent. The tour guide for Pompeii was extremely knowledgeable and she made for an amazing tour of Pompeii. She gave real insight to the history of what we were looking at and experiencing. She was a true expert in the subject and I appreciated her giving her opinions and interpretations as a master in her field. Now to the not so great part of the tour; the wine tasting and lunch. The food was not good and the wine left much to be desired. The guided tour and van to Pompeii I would highly recommend to anyone, but the wine tasting and lunch I would not at all recommend.

I had a wonderful experience on this tour! Our guide and driver, Modestino, was extremely friendly, on-time, and knowledgeable. The guide at Pompeii, Ricardo, was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We had a blast and learned so much about this historic area.

Everything was great, from the driver/guide (with whom we felt in complete safety and was knowledgeable about the visited locations) to the winery experience (food and wine extraordinary) and to the wonderfully detailed and full of insightful details visit to Pompeii (this was wholly due to the great guide). All in all, I recommend this day tour
