This was our first time I couldn’t be happier. My friend and I enjoyed a lot this experience. I want to thank our Giovanni.
We booked the Herculaneum + Vesuvius tour and it was not a pleasant experience. When we got to the last bus pickup spot in Naples, the motorcoach was almost full and about 15 to 20 people could not get on the bus. It doesn’t make sense how this could happen when you have to buy the tickets in advance and they could surely count how many seats they needed for the tour. Consequently, we had to sit on the bus at the stop for over half an hour while they got another bus for the people that were waiting. They told us we had to wait as the guide would serve both buses; not sure how that would work! We eventually left without the other bus. In total, we ended up taking six different buses for the tour as we went to a central meeting place, got on another smaller bus to take us to Herculaneum. Then another small bus picked us up from Herculaneum 15 minutes late, and took us to the central meeting spot where we transferred to another bus to take us to Vesuvius. After we were done at Vesuvius, the bus we were supposed to get back on was full and we had to wait almost a half an hour for another bus to come, which took us again to the meeting spot and we waited on another coach to take us back into Naples. With all of the delays, we had to rush through Herculaneum and barely got to see the things we wanted to see. We made a beeline up Vesuvius and then practically ran back down to catch the bus, which of course was full. In addition, we did not receive the audioguide that we paid for - we were just told the Wi-Fi was broken. I would suggest there are better ways to do this tour that involved a lot less time on buses and more time at the attractions.
Great experience in Vesuvius, tramvia was comfortable and well organized and salvatore especially was really helpful (and a pleasure to talk with) at the site. Perfect overall.
I had booked a tour to Vesuvius and wanted to go to Herculanum although Tramvia weren't running the combined ticket that day. I asked all the same and Margherita arranged it all for me at no extra cost. I had a wonderful day, the service from Tramvia was faultless and I fully recommend Margherita, Tramvia and of course, the visit of Mount Vesuvius and Ercolano!
One of the best companies if you want to take a trip to two of the most important archaeological and historical sites in Campania! The travel solution we chose allowed us to spend several hours at the Herculaneum excavations. Later in the afternoon we took the bus back to Vesuvius. The visit to Vesuvius was very pleasant (I recommend it to nature lovers). From 1000 metres there is a spectacular view. We also had a great time thanks to the driver and guide who accompanied us during the transport: professional and super welcoming.
Albi was a good tour guide. Very pleasant and very friendly. Very helpful.
We also booked a full-day excursion with Chiara from TramVia that went to Pompeii in the morning and to Herculaneum in the afternoon to optimize our time in Naples. It was an amazing and intense experience, also due to the terrible history of the eruptions in 79 AD that devastated both cities, seeing the ruins and even the molds of the fugitives in Pompeii or their skeletal remains in the case of Herculaneum. And paradoxically, thanks to Vesuvius and at the cost of that terrible destruction, it allowed us to freeze in time to understand through archaeological work and excavations how life and culture were in terms of architectural design and customs in the houses and palaces that still exist, where frescoes, mosaics, tableware, statues, fountains, ovens from the multiple bakeries, thermal complexes, etc. of these Roman cities are preserved. Unforgettable experience.
A day cut short without communication! Herculaneum in the morning, pleasant First time slot for Vesuvius, we are on the bus and we see Vesuvius getting farther away. No one understands. We were supposed to enter the site at 3 PM, and by 4 PM we had not arrived. However, they inform us that the site is closed. Incredible, no communication. Return to Naples For reimbursement, the price of the tickets. A true shame, I am used to organizing my own excursions, and I will not be fooled again...
I chose Tramvia for the transfer to the excavations of Herculaneum and Vesuvius and I could not make a better choice. Service was punctual, well organized and managed by a friendly and helpful staff. Herculaneum is a fascinating site and Vesuvius, with its spectacular view, completes a truly unique experience. Thanks to Tramvia I could enjoy the whole day without worries. Super recommended!
Very nice excursion with Fabio and his fellow driver, both very considerate and attentive. Excellent memory.
This tour also goes to Pompei, is the same bus. We have booked the Pompei and Vesuvius tour including tickets to both sights. That worked very badly. The bus was already an hour late in the morning, the time was of course missing in Pompei and we did not get the tickets for Pompei and Vesuvius in advance as agreed. Thanks to Paolo (our guide, who we knew from the Tour Positano and Amalfi of Tramvia, which we did 2 days before), who was not responsible for this tour, we got the tickets for Pompei in time. Thanks to the efforts and patience of Salvatore, our guide on this tour, we finally got the tickets for Vesuvius at the entrance to Vesuvius. However, the tickets were not deposited, but had to be obtained via the online last minute portal, which only worked after a few attempts. So we lost an hour here too. Thank God we were able to take the later bus back, otherwise a climb to Mount Vesuvius would not have run out. We do not recommend this tour, only thanks to Paolo and Salvatore we could still visit everything. The tour Positano and Amalfi is highly recommended!
I was in Pompeii with my son and it was punctual and a fantastic experience we were lucky enough to go and return with Francesca who was loving with us❤️
If you want to ruin your day, book a trip to Vesuvius with TramVia Napoli: We were sold access tickets to Vesuvius, which we were supposed to receive by email, but despite many inquiries never received, so we were rejected after an hour-long arrival at the entrance.
Unfortunately overall a very bad experience. The tickets for Vesuvius should have come as an email, never received them. On the day of the tour, multiple inquiries and discussions with the riders/office etc.; always promised that nothing was a problem and the printed tickets were deposited at the entrance of Vesuvius. This, too, was not true. At best, internal miserable communication, at worst, lying. Other tickets could not be purchased; so we stood in front of the entrance in dismay. In summary unfortunately a complete flop without the possibility to visit Vesuvius. Too bad the first part after Herculaneum went well. Overall, however, I would definitely advise against visiting Vesuvius for the reasons given.
The bus left more than 30 minutes late, the tickets were sold with Audio Guide which did not work (on 4 different phones), nobody on hand to help us...and tickets for Vesuvius were never sent on the phone. We lost more than 20 minutes to get them back. Ascent of Vesuvius high speed V. Too bad!!!!
Thank you to Arianna and Hatim for arranging our visit to Vesuvius on Friday evening before Saturday morning departure! Toppers! The visit itself went perfectly, smooth pick up, transport to Mount Vesuvius, entrance tickets, everything tiptop and on time!
On the advice of Hatim we chose Pompei and Vesuvius. Everything was perfect , the bus was on time , Hatim speaks French perfectly , we had a great day . We recommend 100%. Good Value Award! Julie, Thomas and Noémie!
To escape Bus reserved to go to Vesuvius at 8:45 a.m. in via Toledo. The small bus arrives 20 minutes late. Then we lost a lot of time because of an altercation between the guide and a client!!! Leaving Naples we all had to change buses. Then arrived at Herculaneum we have to take a third bus for Vesuvius... Arrived at Vesuvius the "charming people at reception ☹️ do not want to let us in because our ticket has expired by 8 minutes!!!! They offer us 'try to buy a ticket in the last minute lots!! Which was impossible for many other people who did not have tickets....We bought tickets with another bus and the circumvesuviana to return because otherwise we still had to wait 1h30 in the exhaust smells of other buses for our return with tramvia Napoli.. Deplorable organization And no response to my emails requesting reimbursement... To be avoided.
