Pompeii Half Day Trip From Naples

No shade to any of the individuals we spoke wi th or met as part of the tour. However, we wait ed at the pick up point for nearly an hour after our scheduled time. We arrived early, and 15 mi nutes after the scheduled pick up time, we me ssaged asking what was going on. We didn't h ear anything. We finally called to see what was going on. We spoke with a lovely woman who confirmed our driver was on the way. Fabio fin ally picked us up 50 minutes after our schedul ed departure, and he got us on our way. Fabio was wonderfu!!!!! | just wish there would have been more communication about the late pick up. We are only in Napoli for 2 days, and we co uld have done something else with that time.

We were completely scammed when booking this excursion. They never came to pick us up, despite us reaching out via phone and WhatsApp. We were left stranded and lost the day of the excursion, even though we had paid 160 euros in advance. When we complained, they lied, claiming they couldn't contact us and that no pickup location or time had been set—even though they had sent us all the exact details the night before. They literally left us stranded on the street. Check out other companies so this doesn't happen to you.

Disappointing to say the least. The scheduled time for the bus somehow changed, but we were still able to attend on another bus. Part of the reason I chose this tour was that it picked us up from our hotel which was convenient. The ride there and back was great, but for $100 person I should have taken an uber and bought the tickets and the iPod listening tour and map when we arrived. Our guide just pointed to the map and let us go for two hours. The map/recorded tour were not in sync which made it confusing. We did our best, but two hours didn’t do it justice which became frustrating. For nearly $400 it was overpriced for the lack of service. I would not recommend this tour. We prefer better engagement at the venue.

Very good trip.We had our kids and my oldest learned so much!! Christian was on time and very helpful..He was great with our kids and even gave them a little gift to remember their trip!!i would look with him again!!

Aldo our driver was a fantastic guide and showed us so much more than we expected His knowledge of Naples was incredible We highly recommend this operator and you will love Naples as much as us !!

Assumed it was a guided tour. Had iPods to listen to tour. Map was difficult to interpret and iPod was not easy to use. Guide though was helpful and gave good food recommendations afterwards.

The tour was very slow because the guide, Roberto, had to translate in both English and Spanish which is not very efficient. We would walk 30ft and listen to 5 minutes of talking. We should have been able to see quite a bit more of Pompeii but this made the tour very inefficient. It was also very difficult to understand Roberto so we did not get a lot of the details. Additionally, there was an elderly gentleman with us who had difficulty walking and was short of breath. It took Roberto to the end of the tour to call for assistance. Additionally, we were on a cruise excursion and after the tour I asked our tour leader Ivana if the driver could drop us off somewhere other than the cruise terminal so we could continue exploring. She said that is fine and talk to the driver because he speaks English. We heard here say something about a tour to the driver but didn't fully understand. When we arrived back to Naples, the driver Armando insisted on giving us a tour and driving is around. We asked multiple times and he said he would circle again and take as back to cruise terminal. We used Google translate and finally got him to stop after firmly telling him to stop and let us out of the vehicle. My kids felt like we were being kidnapped and was very uncomfortable. Although I don't think there were any ill intentions, I think the communication from Ivana could have been better so the driver knew exactly what we wanted.

Great value for money. Friendly drive and guide. Lovely air conditioning in the bus. Would recommend you avoid the stress

This was an amazing tour!!! Roberto gave us a 5 star experience. He picked us up in a luxury vehicle and drove us to and from Pompeii. When we were in Pompeii we had an audio guided tour that gave us the freedom and flexibility to explore as we wished. Definitely recommend if you want to see Pompeii from Naples!

The assistant Aldo and driver Elio were impeccable in their service. The Audio Guide was not very useful. A human guide would have been better. There was confusion regarding pick up points. We were asked to go to a location about 30 minutes walk from our hotel. After we were picked up from there, they picked up another person from our hotel, do we needn't have walked 30 minutes!

Aldo is a cool guy. Communicated with us well and we enjoyed our trip.

Great way to see the highlights of Pompeii and Naples in half a day. Nice because small group of 7 with a excellent Tour Guide in Angela. Convenient pickup at the Naples Cruise Ship Dock. Entered Pompeii right at opening as Angela worked another excellent Tour Guide, Giulia, who walked through the site with detailed, interesting and informative facts about Pompeii. Comfortable pace. After Pompeii, a couple of hours in Naples with Angela taking us to several key area, providing interesting background information. Good way to experience a great Tour in around 5 hours and still half of your day available. Highly recommend.

It was a great trip. There was only a small group. Dario and Ivana were exceptional.

Had a great experience with this tour! Our driver, Ectore, was fantastic, and very kind. He was prompt, on time, and made sure that we got in and out of the ruins safely. I only wish we had a bit more time to see all of Pompeii, but for a quick look around, it’s fine. It’s also great if you’re pressed for time, and it also included an audio tour which was helpful.

This visit does not offer enough time to see all there is to see in Pompei but covers the major, must see spots. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and guides.

A fantastic last minute trip. Collected from our hotel at the exact time advised by Chris and his driver. A ride to Pompeii with lots of interesting facts along the way. A detailed tour from Lily around the site.

So glad we booked this tour, the guide on the bus was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, as were the staff at Pompeii itself. They gave us the best way to avoid standing in the huge queue for hours too! The tour guide was very good and the group was small enough to not feel rushed or worry about seeing everything. Air conditioned buses both there and back, and confirmation was sent on WhatsApp the day before of the pick up time and location. The only thing that would make it better was a bit of time to get a drink before entering the ruins, but this was partly our bad planning as we should have taken water with us. Would highly recommend this tour it was great!

Alessandro was very good. He told very interesting historical facts and made us laugh on our bus ride. He was also very kind and helpful. Our other tour guide Claudio was excellent and very knowledgeable and funny as well. After our tour Greta took over our trip back to Naples. She was very nice and helpful as well. I would highly recommend this tour

The trip to Pompeii was a fantastic experience. Well organised with clear instructions and our tour hosts, Alex and Chris, were very friendly, informative and helpful. We were collected and dropped off as instructed and at the arranged time and place by our driver, Francesco. An amazing place to visit, so a well recommended tour if you are visiting Naples or the local area anytime soon.

Alex was a great start to the tour. He actually helped us organize an afternoon trip to Capri while he was gathering the rest of the people for the Pompeii trip. Once in Pompeii he was very clear and spoke very well English. The tour guide in Pompeii was different person but she was also jsut as pleasant and well informed of the sites in Pompeii

It’s too short…you do not get a chance to spend much time in any one place. In hindsight, I would have taken a cab, too and from, spent more time exploring the area. Guides were fine. You can grab an audio tour on your own, and there are sufficient self guiding tools.

Ciro was a great driver: friendly, informative, and calm in traffic. He really made the ride to Pompeii quite enjoyable.

Serena picked us up in the harbour and led us together with the excellent driver to Pompeii. Underway she gave interesting details about Pompeii and the surroundings. The guide inside Pompeii was also excellent, she was very knowledgeable and comfortable to listen to.

Our guide gave good information and details of the history. She spoke clearly and gave us time to look at the details of the amazing historical place. The bus ride went well. We asked for directions on the pickup location and received a response on the closest to the cruise terminal. We were able to get dropped off at a spot in Naples for exploring the town before departure to the boat. It was an easy walk back.

Crew was really friendly, had good energy and had a laugh. The trip from Naples to Pompeii flew by, nice drive with a informative commentary from one of the crew members. Straight to the point though too, handled everything like tickets/getting a tour guide for pompeii, holding luggage for some other people in our group. The busses were quite cosy too, spacious and well maintained. They even went as far as taking us (last 2 people on the bus) all the way back to our hotel. (We were staying outside of Naples) which we weren't expecting. Very good experience with them all round

Really disappointing tour We missed nearly all of the beautiful highlights of Pompei. No House of Vetti, Villa del Misteri, House of the Tragic Poet, The Brothel, House of the Small Fountain, House of the Faun, Garden of the Fugitives and much more! Endless trudge around streets and very little colour.

Can’t believe we went to pompeii and not taken to the house of Vettii surely the jewel! S as Lao didn’t see cave canum. Very disappointed

Pompeii was very interesting but our guide in Pompeii has very poor English. Our guide outside, Matina, who takes you to our bus, was terrible. She started walking to the bus with approx 16 of us. Streets very crowded, no flag to tell us where she was. She finally stopped after about 15 min to discover she had 2 out of the 16 people with her. We eventually found her and then she lost 4 more people. Unreal👎

Great tour for the highlights. The team looked after us very well. If you have anyone under 21 then wait to pay the entrance fee but if not worth getting the tour with the entry fee included.

5 stars to entire staff Chris and English speaking guide. Pompeii can be overwhelming, and the tour made it manageable. We got to see Cameo/Ceramics factory up close. Pompeii guide was professional and informative. Highly recommended. 😎

Really nice and fun tour guides, had a great time with my girlfriend in the tour. 3 hours tour is a perfect lenght to see the most important places in pompeii. I really recommend the tour!! 👍👍

Perfect organization, in a very confused place! But our guide led us to the important spots, in just two (very hot) hours.

Our experience one word - Meraviglioso! We had the best time with the guidance of Aldo! We were greeted with a warm smile, an abundance of knowledge and an amazing music playlist! We were lucky enough to have him for 3 days. Aldo went above and beyond and made our visit memorable. We highly recommend a tour with Aldo! You will have a blast.

We went to Pompei with Napoli city vision. We were picked up by our driver Dario and Chris, they helped us get to Pompei very smoothly and made it able for us to have a lovely experience! Chris was amazing and we talked about our lifes. At the end he picked us up again and brought us to the bus with Dario and we went home again!
