Pompeii Guided Tour From Naples With Skip-the-line Entry

The guide was very knowledgeable. Loved the way she walked us through the day in a life of an inhabitant.

The driver who picked up our group in Naples was on time and a great driver. When we got to Pompeii, we met our guide who was very engaging and helped the group get in the mindset that we were going back in time and we were sailors arriving to sell our goods. The immersion added to the fun and she was very knowledgeable and gave a great overview of Pompeii.

Frankie was a great guide. He was very informative understood the site and history. Answered all our questions. I would recommend him

This tour of Pompeii was probably my favorite tour from my trip to Italy. Frankie, my tour guide, led an informative tour of the area. I highly recommend Frankie and this tour.

Fantastic and fascinating tour. We opted for the 3.5 tour which gives you about 2 hours on site. With kids this was plenty although if I was on my own I could have quite happily explored for days. I never realised how huge the site is. We had a very knowledgeable guide who made it fun for all ages and we learnt so much in the short time we were there. Be mindful that toilets and refreshments are very limited once you’re inside so make sure you use facilities just outside the gate and pack drinks! There’s also not really any shade apart from the occasional cover building.

We did this tour when on a cruise and were stopped in Naples for the day. It was certainly a lot cheaper doing it this way, rather than booking it as an organised tour by the ship. We really enjoyed the tour and found it very interesting. Our guide Victoria was very knowledgeable and we appreciated being in a small group of only 8 people. Would definitely recommend this tour for a visit to Pompeii.

The guide for this tour was fantastic. I believe his name was Francesco, but we called him Frankie. He was informative and very funny. If you can get him as your tour guide you will not be disappointed.

What a fantastic experience and it was one that we wanted to tick off our bucket list for a long time. The Pickup was seamless but the standout for us was the guide, Frankie whose knowledge and enthusiasm and also fantastic sense of humour really made the day. One thing to know before booking: The meeting point at the Ramada by Wyndham Naples is about a 38-minute walk from the cruise pier, so plan on a taxi ride of approximately €24 each way. Very educational and informative tour. Francesca was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. I carry a cane, and she was very attentive to my level of comfort, which was fine. I had no trouble with the two-hour hike through cobblestone steets.

He turned the ruins into real stories about the people who lived there: their homes, shops, bakeries and baths, and what happened the day Vesuvius erupted. Pompeii was amazing. The skip the line was a bonus but not really needed on the day we went. The meeting point was about a 25 minute walk from our hotel - near castel Nuovo. The transportation was first class. Obviously the ruins are the attraction but we could not express deeply enough how valuable Frankie was to the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, as we presume all tour guides are. What made Frankie special was his ability to connect with his group - regardless of what part of the world we were from. By the end of the tour, we were all friends. The frosting on the cake was Frankie’s sense of humor. He hit us with “follow Frankie”, “keeping up with the Jones’s” and my favorite, “the best wine is in the small barrels “. Could not express how thankful we are to have experienced this amazing piece of history and to have met the wonderful people in our group. Thank you again, Frankie for a wonderful experience. PS make sure Frankie gives you the cement recipe. Haha

We were really impressed with the entire experience. The pick up was easy, the driver was great and our guide in Pompeii was fabulous. Francesca was so animated with her descriptions and storytelling we actually could see what she was describing and she really made it feel like we were there. Her explanations were funny and descriptive and we really enjoyed our visit to Pompeii. We highly recommend this tour and hopefully you are lucky enough to get Francesca.

My son and I had an knowledge and fun day seeing Pompei . Honestly worth the money , place is huge and without a guide just feels like you are walking aimlessly. Francesco was awesome and humorous. Plus happy we had private transfer as that day the trains were not operating fully . So it was stress free
