Pompeii is one of the most tragic and evolving piece of history that most people have heard of but not experienced. Even with the rain at the beginning, it was still an incredible and priceless experience. Our guide was brilliant, snappy, and I wish it could been for 8 hrs / a week!

A lot of ground to cover in 2 hours but it was just right for the kids. Even so, the kids logged 14,000 steps! The tour guide was exceptional.

This was overall a good experience. We did not leave the meeting point on time. The bus ride was nice, and we liked the complimentary water. The walk around Pompeii was good. I wish we could've gotten to higher ground to see the entirety of everything. Our guide Leo in Pompeii and Titti our tour guide were good.

It is very physically strenuous. The terrain is very uneven. The area to cover is very large.Bring a water bottle. It is strictly ruins. There is only one player cast of a person on the site. All relics are at the Archiological museum. Very interesting and amazing.

This is a quick paced tour with loads of information. The guide will cover a lot of facts about how the people of Pompeii lived. Best advice is wear appropriate shoes and listen to instructions.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, communication at the destination and getting back to the ship was good. My main complaint was that pick up was confusing. The guide was running a bit late, they did not have clearly marked signs, and there were several of them all calling out names at once. It was difficult to figure out who was going with whom. I wish it had been less chaotic. Also my headset was not working and the guide could not provide a solution so I could not hear her unless I was right next to her.

This is not moderate activity. It was very strenuous and that should be disclosed. The tour guide was very good. My headpiece did not work and the guide knew nothing about how to fix it.

There is A LOT of walking. Almost all of it is over uneven cobblestone, and a lot of uphill. It is absolutely worth every step and every tired muscle after 2 hours of exploring, but you need to be honest with yourself about your abilities. Our guide inside Pompeii, Anita, was fantastic. Both Informative and paced the tour well. Antonio and Antonella picked us up right outside the cruise port security and communication about where to wait for pick up was very good.

The shuttle bus and Josephine met us directly outside the gate at the port when we arrived in Naples. Once we arrived at Pompeii we were met by our guide, Thomas. He kept the group moving sharing his knowledge mixed with humor. This site is absolutely incredible. You could go back multiple times and still enjoy each moment of ancient history. Roberta our escort and Marco our guide were great! Our issues were that the driver was driving too aggressively and it was advertised as a "Small Group" but it definitely was not.

Really enjoyable tour of pompeii. Our guide Tomas was excellent. Very knowledgable and always at hand to answer questions from the group. Described what would have been happening at the time of the big eruption . Also described the different houses and who would have stayed there. Highly recommend

A great-value and very enjoyable tour. Pickup was from the Naples port where Clemente was very welcoming, and after the bus ride to Pompeii the group we were met by our tour guide Marco, who was really knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. I thought the format worked very well, with each member of the group getting an earpiece through which we could hear Marco; this meant we could keep moving for a lot of the tour and see more of the site, but there were several stops to have a quick rest and/or take photos. We saw a lot in 2 hours but that's only some of what's at Pompeii plus there are more excavations ongoing, so I hope to come back one day to see more. Really enjoyable and highly recommended. Part of what I will say was not fault of our specific tour as there were several ships in port and it was very crowded. But it could have been so much better. Meeting up at port was not well organized. Difficult finding guide there and them sorting out who was in which tour (several were similar). Van was in very poor shape. Even a broken seat which prevented one rider from sitting upright. Driver started moving before we were all seated in back. Drive was sporadic and very uncomfortable. Friends with a similar World Tour Pompeii left same as us but in a new van and we're provided bottled water coming and going. We were turned over to Pompeii guide who did not have adequate flag to help follow (used a folded black umbrella)! If she got too far ahead we lost audio to know where the group was and where they turned. She moved too fast for many of us. Asked her to slow down or stop more often. She did not. Several dropped out and did not complete the tour

The guide communicated easily to find her and the bus. The ride was easy. The guide was informative.

The bus from Naples was on time and comfortable. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. My only complaint was the description said “small group” and we were about 25 (not that small). Also the 3 hour 30 minute tour time included roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes of bus boarding and travel time to/from Naples. You really need 4+ hours on site to truly see most of Pompeii, but this was a good primer and convenient.
