Discover the powerful connection between Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that buried the ancient Roman city in 79 AD. This tour takes you on a fascinating journey through history and nature.
In the morning, visit the famous Pompeii Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site preserved for centuries under volcanic ash. Walk through ancient streets, houses, and temples while learning about daily life in Roman times.
Stop at a local factory to discover the traditional craft of cameos and coral (if time permits).
After lunch, continue to Mount Vesuvius and reach the crater of the still active volcano. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples. The area is also recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve.

Stop At: Archaeological Park Of Pompeii Admission Ticket:
Tickets are not included After the departure we'll reach the ancient town of Pompeii, buried by Vesuvius volcano eruption in 79 AD. Enjoy a visit of approx 2 hrs. At the exit visit of a cameos and coral factory (if time permits).
Till 6 partecipants, the visit will be operated with audioguide, for parties larger than 6 persons a licensed guide will lead the visit. Entrance tickets are not included.
Stop At: Pompeii Lunch in a typical restaurant after the visit of the excavations.

Tickets are not included After lunch continue to Vesuvius volcano. We'll reach by bus the height of 1,000 mtrs, then to reach the crater a 20 mins walk is needed. Entrance tickets are not included and must be pre-purchased.

Sep 25, 2024, 11:27:04 AM Absolutely poor service from both viator and discovery Naples/ Naples city vision. Me and my partner were left by driver at entrance to mt Vesuvius with no valid tickets. We paid 15 euros for each ticket (officially 11+ pounds) but didn’t get to see mt Vesuvius. Viator and local agency were contacted immediately absolutely poor response. I sincerely wouldn’t recommend this tour. It was my birthday and they spoilt it.

Good Pompeii tour, lunch was okay, trip up and down Vesuvius was great with a driver that made it super fun by singing to a very good 70's classic rock play list. He also gave us a great back roads tour of his home town. Oh yeah, the hike up Vesuvius was a challenge in the heat but well worth it.
