Pompeii And Capri Island Day Trip From Naples

Capri was beautiful and we got off the top of the island just before a torrential downpour. Our guide was great. Then off to Pompeii which was a challenge in the rain. Our guide there was not cognizant about the fact that the crowds with some restricted access due to puddles was hard for some of the older tour participants of our group. I’m 6’-5” and I spent time helping some of the less agile members of our group by keeping an eye on the tour guide and directing the stragglers on which direction the guide went. No complaints because I made friends with some nice people

This was hands down the BEST tour!! From the breathtaking beauty of Capri to the incredible history of Pompeii, every part of this experience was absolutely unforgettable! The views were stunning, the itinerary was amazing, and everything was so well organized. We got to experience so much in one day, and it was truly a highlight of our time in Italy! Our tour guides were wonderful, knowledgeable, and made the entire day even more special. If you’re visiting Italy and considering this tour, BOOK IT!! You will not regret it. The tour guides were so much fun and made us feel so special while celebrating our honeymoon!! One of the best experiences of our entire trip, and something we will remember forever!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guides, Kiara and Tomas. Tomas guided us through Pompeii, and he was the perfect combination of knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. His passion for the history of Pompeii was evident throughout the tour, and he brought the ancient city to life with fascinating stories, insights, and humor that kept everyone interested and entertained. Kiara was equally amazing. She was with us from start to finish for what had to be close to a 12-hour day, and her energy, professionalism, and kindness never wavered. She kept everything running smoothly and made sure every member of our group felt comfortable and cared for throughout the entire experience. Her organization, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made the day stress-free and enjoyable from beginning to end. Together, Kiara and Tomas created an unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations. Their knowledge, personalities, and dedication to their guests truly set them apart. We are so grateful for all of their hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional tour experience in Italy.

Our guide, Luca, made this trip. His communication was great as was his care for the entire group. He went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable and safe. The tour of Pompeii was exceptional.

The trip was good. Overall, it was a good experience. We first went to Capri and had some time over there. After, we went to pompei which I think is stunning and is a bigger place than I expected, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Chiara, our tour guide, was amazing. She contacted us before the trip to confirm pick up and she was answering any questions we had before and during the trip.

The start was a bit chaotic because the central meeting place was filled with different tour guides calling for their group, but the guides all know each other and they were able to help us find the right group. Chiara, our guide was excellent. Once our group was gathered, she laid out the schedule and handled all the tickets needed for Capri Island (ferry, gondola, garden access) and Pompeii (bus, on-site private guide). You could do all the planning yourself, but I imagine it would be a little bit stressful. The price is worth handing off the responsibility of planning, moving, and keeping a family on time. You can concentrate on absorbing the sites and appreciating the atmosphere. All you have to do is be at the right place at the right time. Will use them again for the Almafi Coast tour next time around.

Raffaela was an amazing guide for the day! She took her time explaining each part of the tour to us, answered questions, shared stories and really took care of us. Any groups that get her as their guide are very lucky! Anna was our guide for our tour at Pompeii. Very knowledgeable, funny and kept our group together and moving. Would have loved to spend more time exploring with and learning from her!

We had the opportunity to visit the island of Capri, and what a wonderful experience it was. Our guide helped us avoid long lines and suggested some excellent places to eat. We also visited Pompeii on the same trip, which was another incredible experience. Great job. I would highly recommend.

What a fun way to see two very different sites! Capri was so nice and was so picturesque. Then Pompeii was so historical and educational. I am glad this tour was available so we could see two different sides of Italy in one day! Felicia was a wonderful guide all day. She gave us great information, pointed out good shops, and even arranged for us to get tickets to go on a boat ride around Capri! If I ever find myself in the area again, I would trust Felicia as my guide and would definitely re-book! You can tell she knows the area. Thank you for a great day!

8-13-26. Tour from Naples to Pompeii and Capri Certainly everything beautiful . Is a tour to see just a glimpse of Pompeii and Capri . The tour person Donatello at Pompeii was very professional, and also the tour person in charge Marcos M. Very professional. Both doing a great job even at an extremely high temperature. Be prepared with an umbrella . Enough for an airplane view. All mostly in time . Always giving good advice and directions.

Just an absolute fantastic day so well organised. Booked a small group trip and got a hotel pick up which was organised weeks before the day of trip . Communication from trip leader Carmine was excellent . He contacted us day before saying that someone would pick us up at 0710. On the day ( 28th July ) driver Mirko was at our hotel at 0700 so he then took us to the port to meet Carmine. Met up with him and group and got Ferry over to Capri .Once there he took us up the Funicular and he then left us for next 2 hours . Back down to harbour area for 1 hour then ferry back to Naples . Once there picked up by Minibus driver ( Freddy ) who then took us to Pompei . At Pompei Carmine passed us onto a group leader which we were in a group of 15 . 2 hours around Pompei was very educational and really interesting. Carmine met us at end and then we then headed back to Naples . Freddy dropped us off all safe and sound. Overall an absolute fantastic day a real must . Thanks

We were on a cruise and booked an excursion that went to Capri and Pompeii. Our excursion guide, Titti was professional, courteous, friendly, and very informative. She was amazing! Along with Antonio, our driver, they both made the excursion fun and enjoyable for us all. At Pompeii, we were joined by another tour guide, Gianpaolo, a dedicated guide for Pompeii. He was the best! Super informative, communicated well, and was passionate in sharing his knowledge of Pompeii with us all. It was a worthwhile excursion and would highly recommend it. If lucky, you might be fortunate to get the same two guides and driver for your excursion like we did. They worked so well together to make the group feel relaxed and have fun.

Our Naples tour included Capri and Pompeii. Our guides Luca and Diana, and driver Vincezo all did a wonderful job in making the day go smoothly. Diana was especially knowledgeable and interesting in the Pompeii tour.

What an awesome and fun day we had in Capri(beautiful)and Pompeii (amazing history).Titti(Guide) was extremely organized and was constantly checking to make sure we were all together. Wonderfully guided us and made suggestions for shopping and visiting areas. Antonio (driver) was also wonderful and Gianpaolo was absolutely amazing to have as a guide also. His explanation on everything we saw in Pompeii enlightened us on the history of Pompeii. Totally recommend this group for any excursion. Simply fantastic we were blown away with their service! Would do this again for sure with them.

We did the tour with Titi over to the isle of Capri in the morning. Originally we were expecting to do Pompeii first, but going to Capri first was a great idea as Capri ended up being very busy by the time we left. Titi handed us over to Gianpaulo for the tour of Pompeii and he was incredibly knowledgeable and very kind and patient. The only stressful part of the day was finding Titi at the port due to the volume of people and some confusion on the meet up place. She immediately called me on WhatsApp and ensured we were able to find her. Antonio drove us back to the port with plenty of time before our all aboard time. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Guide at Pompeii was knowledgeable and fun. Excellent details. Carmela was excellent as well trying her best to keep the day on time and providing updates when traffic impacted timing. Great tips for places to focus and see for pictures and food throughout the trip. We had a wonderful time. All tickets and access were handled by Carmi. We just had to dhow up, which is what we wanted. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Carmine was very helpful and gives you advice where to go. He is very friendly and engaging.

Absolutely horrible experience. Do not book this tour. The meeting time listed was 8am and we were planning to be there by 7:30. We left our bnb at 7:20 and got stuck in traffic. I received a call from the local company at 7:29. The operator was screaming at me and telling me that I was holding up the tour. That the meeting time was 7:30 and we would be met if we didn’t get there. Once we arrived the guide was very cold towards us and didn’t speak to us very much. The whole tour he was very rude and very passive aggressive towards us. The “guide” did not do any guide work. He got us to and from the 2 locations but did not provide any commentary or show us anything. He spoke very little English which is not a problem, but we booked a tour in English. The guide at Pompeii was great but was an independent guide. The van driver was reckless and almost crashed multiple times. On our way back to the meeting point the guide asked if we wanted to be dropped off at the original meeting point or at our hotel/Airbnb. We obviously chose the BnB. All the other guests got dropped off at their Airbnb. The guide made us get out at the original meeting point at which point I asked why and he shrugged his shoulders and took off. We had a 25 minute walk. Do not book this tour and do not by any means accept Carmine as your guide.

Beyond disappointed. First off the meeting was different in Viator then apparently what the actual time was. Someone called us being extremely rude to us about this, we told her that we were going off the Viator and said “we texted on WhatsApp” we don’t have WhatsApp. Upon arrival our “guide” was extremely pushy. When we got to capri he said “here’s our meeting point, goodbye” no guide at all like we were told. When we go to Pompeii, he doesn’t even give us our tour. Someone else (who was extremely kind and awesome) did. He then proceeded to continue to be pushy. For the price and 8 hours of our time. It was ridiculous. On top of it all our hotel was “too out of the way” to be dropped at. Everyone else (only 8 of us in total) got dropped at their hotels. Complete waste of money and time.

Maria picked us up from our cruise ship right on time and texted me ahead of time to coordinate. She had the timing of busses, ferries, a funicular, more ferries and more busses down perfectly and it went perfectly smoothly. Plenty of time to expire on our own in Capri then she handed us off to a Pompeii expert, Anna, for a smaller group tour. The entire day was a perfect 10!!!

Pompeii was too vast to be covered even in a whole day. But the guide was knowledgeable and did a good job covering key places in 2hrs 45min. Capri was an awesome experience. The guide was nice and gave us some helpful tips for the tour to be more pleasant.

It was beautiful! And absolutely incredible! We learned lots about the history while enjoying the view the food, and having our own free time! I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun beautiful trip. It is Long so keep that in mind but totally worth it!

The excursion was AMAZING! Connie, Andrea and Giuseppe were all very friendly and informative about everything we were seeing! 100/10 would go on this again and to see them as well! Capri was beautiful and Pompeii was breathtaking.

Very great experience, visited Naples and decided to get a tour of these famous sites (Pompeii and Capri). Roberta (our tour guide) Alessio (Pompeii tour guide), and Marco (the driver) all went above and beyond to show us around. We were able to see these amazing sites and felt lucky as there wasn’t any busy crowds anywhere we went (it’s not peak season yet). I would definitely recommend if you ever get the chance to stop by in Naples and want to see more than one place.

Truly the best day. We could. It have asked for a better experience. Giuseppe was wonderful and even made some suggestions for our next day in Naples. Besides helping us navigate Pompeii and Capri- he helped to figure out our plans for the next day- ensuring we knew where to go, were safe, and had a great time.

It was an amazing tour. We were especially impressed that it allowed us to visit two key sights in Naples within a reasonable time frame. We had enough time to fully enjoy both Capri and Pompeii, and we still made it back to the ship about two hours before departure. The tour guide, Roberta, and the archaeologist Anna were both professional and enjoyable to be around. Our driver was very cautious and got us back right at the expected time.

Chiara and Inès were great... The initial program (Pompéi in the morning and capri in the afternoon) has been reverse at the last moment but not an issue for us, it was intense and great

A really good day out. Pompeii unreal, the guide was very good very knowledgable. We got missed at pick up, thick because we booked late but the company made sure we made the trip when we phoned.

We enjoyed our last day in Italy by taking a day trip to Pompeii and Capri. It was fantastic! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Going to Capri early was excellent! No crowds, perfect temperature, no waiting. When we left it was crazy the lines and people. Going to Pompeii second, no lines to enter, great pictures with no people in them. It was great!
