Great day at Pompeii & Herculaneum Pick up was easy Transport comfortable Ilaria was lovely taking us where we needed to be Guide at Pompeii could have been a bit better as he skipped quite a few bits but the site is so impressive that we had a fantastic experience anyway Herculaneum was way more impressive than I expected even though the site is smaller and our guide there was outstanding Definitely recommend & skipping the queue at Pompeii meant we got straight in

Great day do fascinating been on my bucket list

We had a wonderful small group tour and were amazed with Pompeii. We had a great typical Italian lunch and also enjoyed the Herculaneum tour. Thanks to Antonio Carola our driver and tour host and Glauco and Lello our wonderful tour guides.

We had a good day trip with Antonio Carola providing his excellent driving skills and keeping us all entertained in English and Italian while on the way to Pompeii and Herculaneum. He arranged for a stop at a beautiful church in Pompeii and took photos for us also. It was very helpful to have Andrea guiding us in Pompeii and Luca in Herculaneum. They added a lot of context to the interesting sights we saw. Thanks guys and hope to see you again.

It was a wonderful day. Long because it was “free admission Sunday” at Pompeii. Our driver, Antonio C., was terrific. He met us at the cruise port right outside the gate right on time. He provided us with information about the area and people both going and coming home. Super comfortable van sized for our tour of 8 people. At Pompeii, our guide was Glauco, an excellent guide who knew how to avoid the giant crowds and was able to give us so much more insight into the buildings and events of Pompeii then we had the previous time we had gone there. He didn’t just go to the places other large tours followed, he brought us to place others don’t walk through. We then had a very nice lunch, relaxed atmosphere and never rushed by Antonio. At Herculaneum our guide, Alessio, was also top-notch. We walked over a significant amount of the city (on a very warm day), and saw/learned the difference in the impacts from the volcano. Bottom line, Antonio, Glauco, and Alessio were super. We highly recommend them and the folks at WorldTours who communicated the logistics to us.

It was a fascinating experience with knowledgeable guides at each location. We are glad we visited both sites, in this order: Pompei (with Antonio), then Herculaneum (with Nina). It made sense to get a vision of the scope of a Roman city first in Pompei, and then to see a more specialized community and appreciate the unique preservation.

We booked a small group tour with Askos and our guide Luciano Leone was FANTASTIC. Not only did he know his stuff as an archeologist but he had wonderful photos to add to his talks. Luciano had a wonderful sense of humor and was able to guide the tour participants seamlessly around Herculaneum. We learned so much about the history and lifestyles of the Roman people and most especially the fascinating details bailout the explosions and excavations of the site. Take this tour and ask for Luciano Leone!

All our guides ( Alexandria, Marco and Sharon), were extremely friendly, personable and engaging. They brought Pompei and Herculaneum to life and we learned so much. Would recommend to everyone!

Roberta was an excellent, very knowledgeable & engaging guide that made Pompeii and Herculaneum even more interesting. She was great!! We also enjoyed being part of a very small group of only 4 people. Unfortunately the tour company told us incorrectly that there wasn’t enough time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant 1 km away that a “foodie” friend had highly recommended based on his own experiences at this restaurant. So we agreed to & prepaid for the tour lunch (the food was ok at best having eaten in Italy for the past 10 days). Then as we finished Pompeii and stopped for lunch, we were told we had 90 minutes for lunch, and easily could have walked to the recommended restaurant, enjoyed a wonderful lunch that would have been a trip highlight for us, and would have more broadly supported the local economy. Those are important considerations for us when booking tours. We recommend the tour but if you want to eat at a local restaurant instead of the touristy ones by the main entrance gate, then do so. More time (30 minutes more?) is suggested at Herculaneum so we could have seen the skeletons found in the boat houses on the “beach”. The number of people that we saw at that part of the site indicated it’s a Herculaneum highlight. Instead, the driver was texting our guide to return to the van ASAP and we missed that part altogether. That was disappointing. This is a big site full of interesting and unique artifacts and deserved more than the 90 minutes that we had there.

It was very interesting and exciting, Diana gave us a lot of information in little time and made the tour very entertaining. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing day!!! The driver Antonio Carola was perfect from start to finish, he made us feel safe and happy the entire day and did whatever he could to make sure we had a nice time, the best driver! The guides Giancarla and Alessio at the sites were amazing, their expertise and enthusiasm was so appreciated throughout the day. An absolutely perfect day that I would do again in a heartbeat. Would 100% recommend for those staying in Naples.

Most interesting tour We learned a lot How much will we remember though!!!

Rafaello our guide was superb, very knowledgeable and very professional. However the transport logistics were rushed at Herculaneum and even though we paid for the lunch opt in we never received any. They took us to a expensive hotel restaurant and that was it, then I wasn’t able to get a refund for the opt in lunch.

Had an amazing day with Nina as our tour guide. She is very calm, patient and has loads of knowledge as well as speaking 4 languages. We were late for our pick up but Nina contacted us and we were directed to the next pick up point in time to join the tour. Our bus driver Danny took us from our pick ups to our destinations safely and smoothly. I would definately recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to have Nina as your guide you will have a great day. Lunch at Pompeii was fresh and filling and all delivered expertly at the hotel next to the site.

We went on a cruiseship excursion in the Mediteranean Sea and booked the daytrip to Pomperi and Heracleum via GetYourGuide. We got contactinformation some days before from our guide, Marco, and there was no problems with communication or planing the meeting. After going out of the cruiseterminal i Salerno we meet up with the guide and continued in an air-conditioned minibuss to Pompei. In Pompei we meet up with our guide Leo, and he was realy amazing. He was concerned that everybody had a good day and was friendly and calm with the crowds of people in Pompei. Leo gave us alot of interesting and funny informations about Pompei.. After exiting Pompei we got 1,5h to pause and eat, or if we like we could enter again. Then our guide, Marco picked us up and we went with the minivan to Heracleum. In Heracleum we got a guide called Mina, and she was fantastic. It feelt like this archeological site was here baby, and she knew so much abaut it. After a long time in hot sun we went home with our minibuss, right in time to board our ship to new destinations. This is a no-bariner for me. When in this region, why not see what everybody is talking about.

We had a great tour visit to this two historical sites. Antonio Carola was our driver who took a good care of our comfort and told us interesting facts about the area. Sharon accompanied us to the sites visits. She knows every little corner of both towns and we enjoyed those hours of visits a lot. I would definitely recommend to visit both Pompeii and Herculaneum. Because only then you can get the full picture of lifestyle of those people who lived in the area. This visit was worth it all!

We have been deeply lucky to have Antonio Carola as our driver and care taker for our visit of Pompei and Herculaneum. This lovely man made sure we felt at ease on the busy roads of Napoli, and all our needs were tended to. Our tour guide, Sharon, has been as caring as she was passionate about her cultural heritage. She was equally patient and efficient. She shared her knowledge with passion, and was happy to answer any questions we would throw at her. We whole heartedly recommend taking this guided tour with worldtours if you want to discover and learn more about Pompeii and Herculaneum! We can only hope for you that you would get the joy of getting Antonio as your driver and Sharon as your guide if you choose this guided tour!

Trip coordination and transportation were excellent. Tour guides were mixed. There were 3 - tour (okay), Pompei (Roberta was great!), Ercolano (quirky off task). Lunch was worse ever experienced in Italy - poor selection, poor quality, rude service.

Pick up instructions were clear and easy to follow, very helpful to be told where was nearest to Hotel. Dayana our host and Castro our driver were friendly and professional, keeping us well informed. Lunch was very well organised. Pompeii was amazing and our guide Theresa was so knowledgeable and funny, despite the heat she kept us engaged and it was really enjoyable. Didn’t quite enjoy the Herculaneum trip as much as- not quite as engaging but still fabulous to see everything. Worth the money and would recommend as it takes all the hassle and stress out of the trip.

Pompeii was absolutely incredible to see! Walking through the ancient streets and seeing everything so well preserved was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was amazing very knowledgeable and engaging. The tour moved at a great pace, giving us plenty of time to take everything in without ever feeling rushed. Definitely a must-see!

Our day trip to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum was incredible. Diana was our tour guide and her knowledge of both places was very impressive, she was very friendly and also the best at hunting out shaded areas for us to stand as she told us about that particular area (going mid-August made me appreciate her shade hunting skills more appreciated!). The price was amazing for two hours in both places, we learnt so much and I will definitely be recommending it to family and friends, especially if Diana is the guide.

Everything about this trip was worth the money. Raffi (tour guide) was excellent. The 2 archeologists highlighted things that I would have missed, as well as the detailed explanations about Pompeii (Anna) and herculeanum (Nina). Nina was especially entertaining and enthusiastic! The group being small was excellent and being a solo traveller I was included in comments which is not always the case. Although pricey due to the peak holiday time, it was totally worth it. The only "downside" was the extreme heat! - the air-conditioned bus was a welcome break.

It’s not the guide’s fault that she couldn’t stop more. But I was too busy watching where I walked on the stone roads to have a look at what she was talking about.

Diana was great, lots of interesting facts and fun time, always attentive so that out group remain together. August is incredibly hot, so something to consider when booking the tour. In general for the agency it would be great to have information about how to recognize the guide because that's the same reunion-spot for many tours, and also, something the agency could ask when people book the tour is "is there something you would like to see?".

We had such an amazing day at Pompeii and Herculaneum! Even with the really hot weather, everything was so well organised that we had a fantastic time. Rafaela was great from the start—friendly, fun, and she kept everyone in good spirits throughout the trip. At Herculaneum, Nina was incredible. She made the site come alive with her interesting explanations and was so passionate about what she was telling us. She really made the visit special. A big thank you as well to our driver, Castro, who got us everywhere safely and made sure we were back at our cruise ship on time. Thanks to the whole team for a brilliant day. We'd definitely recommend this tour!

Having Raffi as our tour leader made our tour incredibly enjoyable with her fun and welcoming attitude! Both of our archaeological guides, Anna and Nina were exceptionally knowledgeable and were always willing to answer our many questions, Nina’s excitement during the tour really showed her love for the sites. Our driver was lovely and made sure we all had enough water during our very hot August day tour! The transfers from each site made our visit stress-free and incredibly smooth, especially coming from and returning to Naples.

5 stars all around. Our guide Raffi is amazing. Full of energy & kindness. Castro is a great driver and was on time. Nina(?) - guide for Herculaneum - was equally amazing and so funny. Lunch was high quality. No complaints, would do again, absolutely recommend.
