Meet your guide on Piazza Dante and start your tour through the ancient streets of Neapolis. We will take you back to Greek and Roman times through the cheerful alleys of ancient Naples.
Port'Alba, located on the left side of Piazza Dante, is one of the oldest gates of the city of Naples; this historic pertugio introduces the historic center of Naples and the Decumanus Major.
On the western side of the square it is possible to admire some remains of the walls of the Greek Neapolis. It is a fortification system made of compact tufa blocks and the walls have been dated, roughly, to the second half of the 4th century BC.
Heart of the historic center of Naples lies Via dei Tribunali also known as Decumano Maggiore. Historic businesses, such as some of the most famous Neapolitan pizzerias, and numerous monuments are concentrated along the route. From the main artery of Via dei Tribunali other historic city alleys develop, including Via San Gregorio Armeno the famous street of nativity scenes.

The picturesque street that runs from the Quartieri Spagnoli to the neighborhood of Forcella bisecting the Neapolitan city, known as the Decumano Inferiore. Walking along this street is a journey inside the "real Naples": here among beautiful churches, apartments where locals live, old buildings and a few small bars you can admire the most genuine essence of the city.
Tour will end in Piazza del Gesù Nuovo , one of the most important squares in the historic center of Naples surrounded by the church of the same name , Basilica of Santa Chiara and characteristic restaurants.

Prior to the tour I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by this busy noisey city. Miriam was a wonderful guide , full of enthusiasm, energy and love for Naples which was contagious. She took us around the sites locals go to , and pointed out many places of interest and good places to eat. She fed us a snack, and explained the history of this old.town Definitely start with a tour when you visit
Our guide was Miriam and she was delightful, informative and funny! A great trip all around she answered all of our questions. She was also very personal so we were at ease joking around while weaving in/out of the crowds. Highly recommend this excursion!

Miriam guided us through the old town and Spaccanapoli with great enthusiasm and passion. She didn't just show us the main sights, but also captivated us with fascinating anecdotes – for example, about a nonna sitting in the Duomo who, just a week earlier, had met Pope Leo XIV in the same spot. The fact that Miriam now calls Naples home and could share so many details was evident in her interactions with many residents and shopkeepers on Via sei Tribunali and Spaccanapoli. As a very small group, we were fortunate enough to have personal conversations with Miriam and receive tips for further evening activities.
A great few hours with Gianluca. His knowledge and enthusiasm brought the city to life! We have already booked further tours/visits based on his guidance and look forward to learning more about Naples. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide was Miriam, who is from Napoli. She gave us insights into life in the city - now and over the last 2,000 years - the enduring traditions, religion, the layout and the life of the city. We touched a little on architecture as well over the centuries. She was knowledgeable and she made it easy to ask questions. The tour was good fun. Walking through the Old Town and Spaccanapoli areas , , we learned about different types of shops, beautiful churches, including the duomo, and some hidden statues/monuments and a hidden palazzo with a garden, we sampled delicious savoury taralli biscuits. We would highly recommend a tour with Miriam.

Really boring tour. As we were walking there was lots of cool stuff/interesting building/articheture to talk about but he never really covered what we are looking at.

This walking tour was delivered with knowledge and a love for what makes Napoli special. We experienced the character and grit of this section of town. We learned about the superstitions, tokens and gestures of the citizens. Standout moments included the site where the margarita pizza was born, the bronze nose to rub for good luck, passage ways to the underground ,and the enduring ` sainthood ` of Maradona

Depending on your guide this trip could possibly be informative. Our guide had lots of personal opinions, repeated himself, wasn’t open to questions and rather rude at times. ( anyone who isn’t a Catholic are pagans ?)

We explored the heart and soul of the historical core visiting the bustling side streets, markets, cathedrals while we listened to stories of the city's characters. Ok, here’s an interesting one. Our tour guide was great. The tour itinerary was great, you even get a small drink and bites at the end. So why 2 stars? Our small group consisted of one older Italian couple and two English speaking couples. Seriously, our poor guide had to go back and forth between languages constantly. We were left standing, wasting our precious vacation time waiting doing nothing. Our guide did the best she could, we tipped well. But I strongly recommend avoiding this tour company. Everyone’s time was wasted!

We took a 3-hour tour accompanied by Gianluca, who proved to be a wonderful guide who made the long tour a truly pleasant experience, combining historical facts about Naples with anecdotes and idioms in full Neapolitan style. The visit to the Sansevero Chapel was also a truly unique experience; Gianluca explained not only the Veiled Christ but also the history and the meaning (or rather, the meanings) of every single statue, making the experience truly unique.
