The tour guide wasn't very informative, he basically gave out really little information. The group was large, meet up at entrance was messy especially when it was raining.

Great tour , well worth doing , very informative and well organised. Great value and the guide was great
This was so much fun and so cool! Highly recommend!!!
Very good experience, but will definitely not to go on if you’re in anyway claustrophobic! The tour was very informative but the group was so that we had trouble hearing with the echos of the Chambers that were in the very informative.
The tour was informative and very interesting. The check in process was very disorganized and our tour guide spent quite a bit of time on her phone in between explanations for what we were seeing. Not exactly approachable for questions
One guide with not much to say took our group of 56 people into the labyrinth. There’s an old tank and a weird plant installation from an experiment 15 years ago, but not much else. They should definitely tell you ahead of time that there are 134 steps to get out and that you will need your phone flashlight. The last part to see the aqueduct is very narrow. There were several other tours happening which made it hard to hear, and we all (56 of us) had to step aside to allow them to pass. The whole thing was not well organized.
Worst experience. Absolute chaos on entry, no order. Tour of approximately 50 people by a guide who spoke broken English. Couldn't get near him to hear what he was saying. Lasted 10 minutes before my son and I walked out. Complete waste of time and money.
Very interesting tour of the Naples underground exposing the original building of Naples. You may not want to this tour if you are claustrophobic
Way too many people being herded through the underground so it was difficult to hear our guide. We felt like the guide was being rushed to get us through for the next group. The actual underground tour was interesting but had very little time to enjoy before having to go to the next stop.
Great fun and would recommend it. We learned a lot. But be aware that there are a lot of stair! A little kid counted 114!
Great tour! My 11 year old loved the tunnels and said it was his favorite part of the trip. Very easy to find!
Very interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide. Numbers on each tour are very high which does detract from the experience. Also the display of Nazi memorabilia at the exit is unnecessary. Seeing men smiling and posing for photos in front of these exhibits was a sad sight.
Let’s start with the obvious: “Skip the Line” is a pretty generous description of what you’re actually getting. Despite booking in advance, you still have to navigate a chaotic, poorly organized mob of people, with seemingly no effort to manage the crowds beyond cramming in as many people as possible. If you’re paying extra for convenience, prepare to be disappointed. Eventually, someone asks who booked ahead, herds you into another area, and somehow the confusion continues. You’re counted off into groups while employees openly complain about how many people there are. Nothing quite says “welcome” like staff being visibly irritated that customers showed up. The saving grace? The actual tour was great. It was a genuinely unique experience, and our guide was funny, knowledgeable, engaging, and interactive. Once the tour finally started, we had a great time. It’s a shame the experience starts with such an unnecessary circus. A little organization and basic crowd management would go a long way. The tour deserves better than the chaos surrounding it.
Quite a lot of steps , some very narrow corridor . Can get quite hot . Very busy and crowded . Good .
Con: The group size was way too big (40 people) with no radios so we heard about 10% of what the guide had to say. Either radios needs to be supplied or the group needs to be smaller. Pro: When we could hear the guide, he was very knowledgeable.
Many stairs and need to walk sideways through a tight, dark passage. Option to skip the tight passage.
Lots of steps and very narrow spaces. Not for those with claustrophobia. Guide was very informative.
Not to be confused with the underground city tour, this is all about delivering clean water to the city. Our guide lead us deep underground to a series of vast chambers carved out of solid rock by ancient Greeks, Romans, Normans and Medieval workers. He explained the method used by the Romans to waterproof the walls to retain the water in the cisterns, which still confounds scientists today!! We were lead through a number of very narrow passages to other cavernous chambers, giving one the sense of scale of the construction. It was a very interesting and informative tour, but not for you if you are claustrophobic as the narrow passages mentioned above are challenging. Fantastic and recommended.
Underground tour of Naples. Absolutely huge group. Despite it saying skip the line there was no option for this and we had to queue. If your time in Naples is limited don’t bother. We planned our afternoon around the tour and regret the use of time. Very claustrophobic too…
Our guide was enthusiastic and informative. At times we had difficulty hearing everything. Perhaps adding a modest PA speaker would help. Recommend this tour and thought the price was good for value received.
I tried to get in touch with our plane was delayed 7,5 hours and couldn’t make it and none of the links worked to see if we could reschedule. Please advise.
Lots of stairs, and a bit tight in some spots if you are claustrophobic. You do have the opportunity to avoid that part and wait. It a great tour and unique experience
This is a well worth trip, a great experience which is historic. The guide was knowledgeable. A lot of other tours happening at same time so some cross overs. Part of tour involves very narrow tunnels however there is an option if this part is not for you but its so interesting and worthwhile if you do manage to do it
It's a really interesting tour, advise to prebook. Our Tour Guide was really knowledgeable, her English was really good and she was very funny too.
The meeting place was difficult to locate. We drove around for two hours trying to find the meeting place. We never did. At one point, we drove through a very slummy area, alleyways so narrow that the rearview mirror was folded by the walls. I could reach out and touch those walls. Steps to the houses were in the alleyway. That’s how narrow the alleyway was. The tour description could have been more explicit.
Good to see but the group was too large 45-50 people which meant that it was difficult to hear what the guide was saying and missed half the information
Could not find the location even though we arrived 45 minutes in advance of the tour. Contacted tour operator. Did not respond. Requested refund. Denied. Contacted tour operator again. Still waiting for the refund.
Our tour guide Alex and driver Giovanni were great. We had a wonderful experience throughout the tour.
Very neat and so much history! Nice to not have to wait in line, had a great guide! Recommend for sure!
Great experience. Informative. Worthwhile for cost of ticket. Didn't know much about the underground. Great host.
Very cool! We got to see things that we would’ve never known to look for and heard some great stories! The group was a little big but the guide spoke loudly and had a great personality.
Was a very good and insightful tour, full of knowledge and history. Only downside was that the group was too large and due to this you couldn't always hear the guide.
The guide was very good and the site was interesting. I gave only 4 stars because it was very crowded and they strictly adhered to the time we booked. It’s also a lot of stairs and walking back I counted 52 steps just on the last flight up, and there are no elevators. It was cool underground, so that helped. As I mentioned, we got there an hour and a half early and had to wait until our scheduled time. It’s was super crowded.
The underground was very interesting and fun to maneuver through. Definitely not for the claustrophobic! But, we enjoyed it. The guide allows you to stay back if you don't want to do the area that is tight/small. The two downsides of the tour was that we had 50 people in our group which made it difficult to hear. The second part of the tour is in the Roman theater, but due to the large group, we weren't able to hear a lot of the information. It would have been a great tour if the number of people per tour was limited to 25 and for the guide to have a microphone and tourists to have headphones.
Some parts interesting. The theatre section was a bit underwhelming because you just see a walkway that supposedly led to a theatre. Tour was supposed to be 90 min but we finished in 70. The tour goes thru a very narrow section but little time is spent once we arrive at the point of interest.
Very interesting history and experience. More proof Naples has a lot to see. Need to experience for yourself.
Very interesting tour from start to finish!! Will definitely suggest experience to others.
We had an excellent guide Ivan. Length of the visit was just right and the content was excellent. We have an issue with "skip the line" tickets as there was a line and we were told to queue. The only people who skipped the line were a Russian speaking group of two families (the person on the doors tried to stop them from jumping the queue, but failed)
Fantastic tour really please. The guide was very interesting
The tour had almost 30 people so it was noisy, very crowded, other groups walking past nearby made it even harder to hear the guide, the best part was visiting the underground caverns and long lost Roman theatre.
Our tour started a bit late and it was difficult to hear the guide with a large group. The second part of the tour with theatre felt like an add-on in small pieces. The pizza option was inconvenient because we arrived at the restaurant just before their afternoon closure.
The tour was good but couldn't do the whole thing as we had it booked for 4pm and didn't start till 4.15pm and ran out of time to do the hour 20min tour, as we had to get back to cruise ship. It was a good 20min walk from terminal.
Walking down all of the steps deep under ground is overwhelming but well worth it. It opens up into tremendous sized rooms. Walking the thin path is another must. Beautiful pools and large rooms await. Guides are extremely knowledgeable. It’s a must see marvel!
It's cool down there - between 12 and 16 degrees so prepare for that. It's quite busy, so you can often overhear other group whilst trying to listen to your guide. Our guide walked very fast, so if you can't walk quickly for about 40 minutes with breaks, then do tell them.
This was a super cool tour!! We loved hearing about the long history of the underground and more about Naples!
Worthwhile experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept our group together. A must do tour.
Good little tour. Be forewarned some parts won’t work for anyone who is mildly (or very) claustrophobic. Also there are ~150 steps down and then back up. This was all fine for us but I can imagine it might not work for some!
I was one of about 30 people on the tour. The guide was very personable and knowledgeable, and he made the tour entertaining with interesting stories and a bit of humor. Physically, this could be a challenge for some folks, as you must traverse lot of stairs to descend 40 meters underground to see 2000 year old chambers and tunnels. When hot outside, this was a great escape to the cool underground, but you get to come back up to see the last part of the tour, which includes the excavated portions of a large Roman amphitheater.
The meeting place is highly misleading, as Google Maps leads you to the wrong address - when flagged, and we were unable to attend because we didn't have enough time to reach the correct address, the company did not want to provide a full refund. Instead we were notified 30 minutes before the next tour, which we couldn't attend. Very poor and ill-advertised service overall.
Worth going to, fairly well organised and tours guides know their subject. A bit difficult to hear them when two tours going on but still definitely worthwhile.
