Naples Underground & Highlights Tour – Small Group Experience

Excellent - our guide was extremely knowledgeable

Fascinating to understand the history behind Naples and how it has evolved over 2 plus millennium. Roberta, our guide, was knowledgeable, articulate and let us stay in an area longer if that is where our interests were. 2.5 hours very well spent!

Really informative and well paced. Learned a ton about Naples without being overwhelmed. Guide was fluent in English and excited to give us a tour.

We really enjoyed the tour and the explanation given by our guide (sadly forgotten here name) of the history of Naples. The underground tour is exceptional and walking through the streets above (even on a very crowded Sunday afternoon) was a real buzz. Highly recommend

Absolutely recommend it! Our tour guide Karla was excellent! She was so knowledgeable about the history of Naples and any questions we had she answered thoroughly. She was personable, friendly and had a sense of humour to add to a truly enjoyable experience on the tour! The underground part was incredible!

We normally avoid group tours following someone with a flag on a pole but to see Naples underground you do need a guide. This was a small group (of 10) with an excellent, knowledgeable guide - Pasquale. He explained something of the history of Naples as we walked along famous streets and in some churches. The walk underground was fascinating and he was able to answer everyone's questions. It was a bit more expensive than some tours but worth it for the smaller group and knowledgeable guide. Thank you, Pasquale!

Excellent tour of old town Naples and the Roman underground. Tour guide, Carmen, was outstanding. She shared history and customs of Naples. Mostly this was a walking tour of the area, the Underground tour was just a portion of the tour.

Great tour - beware streets are very crowded. Underground tour was very interesting and our guide was very knowledgeable.

Everything was great. I would definitely recommend a guide for the underground. Without someone to share details, it would have very little context. They don't have a lot of information loke a museum. If you are interested in history it is fascinating to see.

The tour was interesting, it was really great to see how the underground part of Naples looked, to learn something more about the history of this city. The guide was knowledgeable, could tell a lot about a vast variety of topics.

Roberta was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! The tour was so much fun and she knew all the historical details and answered all our questions. This is definitely a must do if you are in Naples!

It was interesting but I had hoped for a little more archaeological areas. Overall, a nice experience but not one of the best tours we’ve been on.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and her English was very good! We wish there was a little less standing around at points, but with the noise, walking and talking was probably not possible. We enjoyed what we saw and what we learned about and felt like it was a nice overview of Naples. Our son is 8 and was a little bored at points…perhaps more appropriate for older children.

Great walking tour of historic Naples. We walked for 2.5 hrs without a break which was fine for us but in the heat, some may struggle a bit. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand . We enjoyed seeing the underground ruins that the city was built upon.

Wonderful walking tour - our group was only 3 of us. Guide was very informative and interesting to listen to. Would answer our questions. Easy to get to the meeting point from the cruise port, approx. 20 minute walk. Guide made suggestions as to where to eat for lunch after the tour. Sorry, but I forget the Guide's name, but she was very good.

Very interesting tour from a local, Roberta. You learn a little history of the city, visit some beautiful churches, and explore an underground portion of the ancient city that modern Naples is built on top of.

Roberta was a great guide, we enjoyed our tour of old Naples and some of the underground Naples. The part we saw was not claustrophobic at all.

This wasn’t our favorite tour. It was interesting but to see the ungrounded city and learn about it. Our guide was not who I would want again and we’ve had wonderful guides in our trip. He was short with you asked a question.
