Donatella was wonderful! She was friendly, full of knowledge, and gave us a great overview of Naples in the short timeframe we had available.

We had an excellent experience with Enya on our private walking tour of Naples. She tailored it to our interests and needs. She was knowledgeable about the city’s history, myths, and customs. We got tips on restaurants, other sites to visit, and how to get around. She also helped us get tickets for a performance at Teatro San Carlo.

Armando did a wonderful job packing a lot into our two hours — all with my interests in mind — while also pointing out things I could do on my own at another time. Is there a minus star? I would give that to Enya. We arrived to the city by a cruise ship. So we only had about five hours to spend. We had a previously agreed meeting point that it’s close to the port. Then she changed the meeting point but didn’t notify us that the Google map link that she sent is a different location and it’s very far from us. She expected us to know that in the city that we had never been before we would know that it’s different from what we agreed upon. Also we checked the app and the app showed the originally agreed meeting point so that’s where we went. When we tried to communicate with her she was rather arrogant and very unprofessional. She wanted us to wait for her for one hour after we said that we are not willing to get in a taxi and go to the location that was convenient for her. At the end of the day we were very happy that we didn’t have to spend a day with this lady. We got a refund from Viator but just beware.

Our guide was Renato. He was fantastic. He had intimate knowledge of the rich history of Napoli, the people and the culture. Renato gave us an authentic and intimate tour of the city that included local restaurants, pastry and coffee shops and how the locals live. Highly recommend him for your tour and look forward to visiting Napoli again.

Renato took my wife and I on a comprehensive tour of Napoli, from the important buildings, to the coffee shops and restaurants, and neighborhoods. It was a real view of how locals live, and really informative about the rich history and culture of the city. Ranoto gave us some great restaurant recommendations, where the locals go, to get the real taste of amazing Napoli food. One of the best pastries and expressos we've ever had. He had extensive knowledge of the history, the buildings and how the city is evolving and how locals live. It was an intimate and authentic tour in a way that you didn't feel like a tourist. This was our first time visiting Naples and we had a wonderful introductory overview with Donatella. She tailored the tour to our specific needs, she was very flexible, we walked at a pace that was comfortable for everyone in our party and she worked with us to make sure that when we stopped to she spoke, we were in a shady place and often were able to sit while she introduce the sites we were visiting. A thoroughly engaging and knowledgeable guide and I would highly recommend her and the company, City Unscripted. The communication prior to the tour was excellent. The booking experience was painless and we had a wonderful time.

The weather at the original meeting time was torrential rain. Roberto took the initiative and set the meeting time back 1 hour. His communication throughout was excellent and pro-active. We enjoyed our first street experience of Naples enormously. Roberto set the atmosphere and ambience of local life with a background of history and contemporary food & drink. We would definitely book with Roberto for any future visits and would not drive afterwards to enjoy all of the local delicacies and beverages.

Enya was a great guide pointing out local favorites and taking us to many of the sights in Naples that we would have never found on our own. She was knowledgeable about the history of the city and sights and clearly loved her hometown.

We enjoyed seeing Spacca Napoli, 2 beautiful churches, and visited about his family and life over a cup of espresso in a town square. He gave suggestions for other “must see” places and dinner. Roberto left us wishing we had more time and wanting to come back to Napoli.

We enjoyed getting to know Roberto and his walking tour of the historic center of Naploli. Hie shared stories of his family , lifestyle and history of the city were so interesting. Serena was amazing!! She gave us an excellent tour combining Naples history and living there today. She was such a great ambassador for the city and we really enjoyed the tour. She even left us at an area for me to purchase a nativity and told me which stores were best.

This was a total waste of time and money. After reading the great reviews, we thought that it would be a treat to your Naples with a local. However, our guide, Antonio, despite being a nice person, did not have basic knowledge about many (most) locations and areas, and seemed to be very unprepared. It was like we were going on a walk with someone we had just met...tbh, I sustained most of the conversation, to break the awkward silences. Not really what you would expect on a private, guided tour. A case in point about....we talked a lot about pizza, something that Antonio was a bit more animated about. After the tour, I remembered that the first ever pizzeria was located in Naples, and I wanted to stop by for a slice, or at least a photo. Turns out that our 'tour' went right past the shop, but Antonio did not mention this. We informed the agency, who refunded 40% of the cost. While this is appreciated, it was not worth it, even with a that discount. With a short time in Naples, my wife and I should have just explored on our own.

Touring the city with Enya was like a wonderfully long conversation with a fast friend. She picked up on my interests and immediately adjusted the plan to include stops that would be (and were!) special to me. In my case, I am particularly interested in books and literature, so we spent some time on a street that had many bookstores. I also greatly enjoyed walking down the street next to the conservatory and hearing the students practicing. Music filled the air - it was a sublime moment. I am very grateful to Enya for sharing the day with me!

Donatella was brilliant. It was great to speak with a local from Napoli. She was full of enthusiasm and did all that I wanted to see and experience in the Spanish Quarter and around. It was a pity I didn't get to see the Veiled Christ because it had to be booked some time before you arrive, so I missed that. All the atmosphere and noise and chatter was all that I expected. All the washing must have been dried and done by the time I got there as it was in the late afternoon (smile). I would recommend Donatella to anyone wishing to experience this quarter. I will be back to say hello again some day.

Armando was an amazing guide! We saw all the highlights of Naples, and he tailored the tour perfectly to keep it fun and comfortable for my 86-year-old grandma as well. As a Naples native, he shared so much fascinating local history and insight that we never would have gotten on our own. Avoid high heel shoes since the ground is a bit uneven! Good walking shoes are advised. We had Donatella as our guide. She is a local that had a lot of knowledge both of the history of different neighborhoods and the culture and customs of Napolitans. Everything from the lines of kings, to the differences in language between Napoli and other parts of Italy, to hidden gems and spots less visited by tourists. I can recommend taking a quick stop on your tour and enjoying a nice Fiocchi de Never (a pastry unique to Napoli filled with ricotta goodness) or other snack. Don't be afraid of asking questions or changing the direction/focus of the guided tour!

The company was great about matching us to a tour guide based on our interests. We wanted to learn about food and history, and our guide was very prepared. She also provided a ton of great recommendations about things to do and see and eat outside of the tour. I only wish that we had done a longer tour so that we could have seen more of the city with a guide. It was a great experience for the short period of time we were in Naples during our trip!
