Itinerary
Historic seaside fortress in Naples, built on Megaride islet, legendary “egg” foundation protects the city, iconic landmark with stunning views.
Used as a filming location for My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante, who described it as the place “where Mergellina meets Posillipo.”
Frequented by figures such as Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida and the famous Neapolitan comic actor Totò.
Richard Wagner once said, “Naples is my city; life pulses here.” Music scholars agree that much of the opera Parsifal was composed within the walls of Villa Doria d’Angri.
Also known as “Villa Emma,” named after Hamilton’s second wife. Lady Emma famously lived here and conducted her well-known love affair with Lord Horatio Nelson, a story that later inspired Curzio Malaparte in his novel The Skin.
Imposing, unfinished, mysterious. Described as “one of the most beautiful and bizarre residences in Europe,” it dominates the beginning of the Posillipo hill. The palace is surrounded by the legend of Anna Carafa — fascinating and powerful — amid lavish parties and tales of secret passions. Some swear that on stormy nights, the palace still whispers her name
Villa Pavoncelli During the Belle Époque, Villa Pavoncelli hosted the celebrated Frisio restaurant, an elegant meeting place for refined Naples. Among its distinguished guests were Richard Wagner and Gabriele D'Annunzio, who immortalized it in his writings.
On its terrace, the film Totò, Peppino e la malafemmina starring Totò was shot, and since then it has often been chosen as a film set. In 2024, it became the residence where the protagonist of Parthenope, a work by acclaimed director Paolo Sorrentino, is born and spends part of her youth.
Villa Cottreau, between engineering and oriental charm In 1875, the renowned builder Alfredo Cottreau — French on his father’s side and a key figure in Naples’ urban transformation — built Villa Cottreau on the remains of a colonial house. He was also responsible for important works such as Corso Amedeo di Savoia and the Ponte della Sanità, infrastructures that helped reshape Naples.
Villa Bracale This elegant neoclassical residence hosted Oscar Wilde in 1897 under the false name Sebastian Melmoth, together with his lover Alfred Douglas, nicknamed “Bosie,” while he was composing The Ballad of Reading Gaol. Today it is a condominium, but it retains the charm of its literary past.
Villa D’Abro An elegant neo-Romanesque building constructed in 1870, it is a key location in the Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino’s film The Hand of God. The villa — and especially the grotto on which it stands — represents a magical place suspended between land and sea.
Villa D’Avalos In the historic Villa D’Avalos also lived one of the early pioneers of cinematography, Étienne-Jules Marey, a renowned 19th-century photographic experimenter. His friendship with zoologist Anton Dohrn often brought him to the Neapolitan coast, where he created short pre-cinematic films. Naples became his laboratory of light and movement.
Villa Lauro Famous for its private seaside swimming pool and direct access to the coast, it too became a symbol of a lesser-known Naples — between Mergellina, Posillipo and Marechiaro — in the film Parthenope.
Riva Fiorita and Villa Marino: the secret set of Un Posto al Sole Among the most enchanting corners of Posillipo lies Riva Fiorita, a small seaside paradise far from the city’s chaos, immersed in a timeless atmosphere. Here stands Villa Marino, an elegant private residence that has become famous for hosting the exterior scenes of the long-running Italian soap opera Un posto al sole.
Villa Rivalta Between August 12 and 13, 1944, a secret meeting took place here between British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Marshal Josip Broz Tito.
Surrounded by greenery, elegant and private, it is today the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic during visits to Naples. Once an aristocratic residence, it is now an institutional symbol.
Charming seaside village in Posillipo, famous for colorful houses, romantic sunsets, quaint fishing boats, and the historic “Scogliera degli Innamorati,” inspiring poets, singers, and Naples’ timeless coastal allure.
Mysterious historic villa in Posillipo, known as the “Palace of Spirits,” with Gothic-inspired architecture, legends of hauntings, panoramic sea views, and a captivating aura that blends history, myth, and Neapolitan charm.
Between crystal-clear waters and Roman ruins, La Gaiola is one of the most evocative places in Naples. On the small island of Posillipo stands the famous Villa della Gaiola, known as the “cursed villa” because of the stories and legends that have fueled its mystique over time. Its aura of mystery has also been associated with famous names such as Gianni Agnelli, J. Paul Getty and writer Norman Douglas, figures who frequented the area and contributed to its fame.
Secluded bay in Naples, surrounded by lush cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and rugged coastline. Popular for boating, swimming, and scenic views, it offers a peaceful escape blending natural beauty with maritime charm.
Small volcanic islet in Naples’ Bay, connected by a bridge, known for its historic prison, Roman ruins, lush greenery, and panoramic views of the Gulf, blending history, nature, and maritime beauty.

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide, Francesco, was very friendly, welcoming and informative and made the whole experience so enjoyable. We were taken on a lovely boat ride around Naples viewing the beautiful sights and then to a more private natural reserve/cove area for swimming and relaxing. We chose the 3 hour tour and that was the perfect amount of time, would recommend this to anyone visiting Naples.
I did the 3 hour cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was a proud Neapolitan (quite right!) He was very informative and answered any questions pit to him. He took us to a couple of really good swim spots which all of the passengers seemed to enjoy.
We enjoyed the boat tour. Francesco is a great captain and shared interesting information about Naples with us.
This cruise was not really for seniors. Difficult to get in and out of and you had to remove your shoes before you could enter. The music was loud and weird - techno the whole the time. Their was supposed to be a bathroom on board, but it wasn't really available. Not very informative about the sights either.
Lovely afternoon on the water taking in the beautiful coastline of Napoli and Mt Vesuvius!
We went out for a 3 hour trip for my lads birthday and the start of our holiday and it really was fantastic with our skipper Francesco he was brilliant just the right amount of talking about the area and just general conversation.
We had such a spectacular experience on our sunset cruise. Beautiful views, swimming and nice cold drinks. This was 100% worth the money and I couldn’t recommend it more! Thank you to our fabulous tour guide, you are awesome!
We had a lovely 3 hrs chilling with the guide on his boat. The sea was warm and the area knowledge was lovely to hear. We stopped in two locations for a swim and then there was a gentle ride home with some lovely clam chilled music. My two kids loved.
What a fabulous way to see Napoli! Our guide Francesco was very informative and took us to a great spot to swim that was in a beautiful protected bay. Our
We had such an amazing time on our three-hour boat tour in Naples! From start to finish, it was the perfect experience. Francesco was absolutely amazing — so friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire tour. The boat ride was beautiful and relaxing, and he took us to some incredible spots for swimming. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing, relaxing, and enjoying the beautiful water. We never felt rushed, and the whole experience felt very personal and enjoyable. If you’re visiting Naples, I highly recommend this boat tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Francesco as your guide! We would absolutely do it again.
Wanted a relaxing boat trip and a place to cool off in the sea it was exactly that! Very peaceful and maybe the best swimming spot ever!
Great tour , nice day well spent on the sea
1st, Francesco is awesome. Just an extremely kind and gracious guide and great boat driver. The drive past the wealthy part of Naples is gorgeous. And the cove he takes you to is very peace and beautiful. If you want a shorter boat day, this is an amazing option. So happy we did, and Francesco made everything easy.
Francesco was fantastic! We had a fun day cruising along beautiful Naples. He was informative on pointing things out to us. We had great fun driving off the boat into the most beautiful ocean waters. He even told us about an absolutely delicious restaurant to go have pizza after our journey! Thank you, Francesco!
Excellent tour that is well worth the price. Just the right lenght abd with a greqt skipper Francesco. He even made sure we had lunch at the best pizza restuarant in Naples.
Lovely tour and the absolute best way to see Naples. I joined this tour as a solo traveller. Our guide Francesco was amazing - very kind, welcoming, and friendly. Overall great vibes and would 100% recommend.
Best excursion of our entire trip! I would 100% recommend this if you enjoying swimming and being out on the water. The captain showed us some amazing swim spots that were surrounded with beautiful views. He was a great host by providing drinks, music, and info about Naples. I would definitely recommend the 9am tour. The water was perfect, not too warm or choppy yet. In the afternoon, the water can get pretty choppy and hot
We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Mondo Guide. I booked the 4 hour Guzzo Boat Tour for my family of four. Kids ages 12 & 9. Our captain Francesco was excellent. He spoke English and was able to communicate with us well. My kids loved jumping off the boat into the water, where he docked. It was an incredible way to experience Naples. Plus, his recommendation for pizza was the best in the world (according to my son). 😂 I can't recommend this company enough.
I was looking for an activity that’s relaxing but at the same time provide me with an experience of Naples. This boat experience was definitely it. Our captain provided us with information about Naples, brought us to swim spots and even provided good music and refreshments. I recommend this to anyone who wants to experience the coast of Naples. If I had the time, I would’ve opted for a longer tour.
Francesco was a fantastic captain! We had a wonderful time!
We booked a 3 hour tour (5-8pm) with Francesco and were honestly blown away. His knowledge of Naples is incredible, sharing with us details of specific points of interest including movie sets to author’s retreats. An excellent captain, Francesco made us feel completely comfortable on our trip, with equipment provided so we could thoroughly enjoy the outstanding swim spots he took us to. The music and boat were both just perfect, setting the scene for a fun but chill evening. The onboard hospitality (drinks and recommendations for our later food) were deeply appreciated by us. I could not recommend this trip more, amazing value for money and seeing Naples as beautiful as ever. Thank you so much Francesco!!! We hope to be back soon, definitely booking the trip again!
This was the perfect way to start our morning off in Naples. Captain Francesco was fantastic. Perfect morning swim. Short and sweet. Highly recommend
We are so happy we chose the Coastal Naples Paradise Private Tour. Our Captain Francesco was fantastic! We toured the coastline while Captain Francesco provided information about the sights we passed. Captain Francesco was laidback, funny and kind. We listened to music and relaxed enjoyed some drinks and swam in the Mediterranean Sea. While swimming Captain Francesco just disappeared off to the side and let us enjoy our party while still being easily available to answer questions. We could not have imagined how perfect our experience was. We would do it again in a heartbeat when we return to Naples and could not recommend this experience and Captain Francesco enough!
We spent a beautiful morning on the sea. Our guide, Francesco, was knowledgeable and very friendly. He showed us Napoli from the sea and then took us to a quiet little place to swim. We spent the morning in the beautiful blue and crystal clear sea swimming and having a wonderful time. We’ll definitely we booking with Francesco again the next time we visit.
Captain Francesco was fantastic! This was a perfect way to start our day in Naples. Weather was beautiful and the water felt even better! Highly recommend this short and sweet ride
one of the best days of my life!!!!! beautiful day. Francesco is so friendly and knowledgeable . My kids and I had the most wonderful day. Jumping off and swimming around. great views and boating!! we will book again soon!!!
Francesco is a great captain: knowledgeable, friendly. He will give a relaxed tour of the best spots. Don’t hesitate: go!
Absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed the tour, the historical knowledge, the local tut bits that only the captain had.
Our captain was wonderful. He even communicated with our cab driver. Our 3 hours on his boat was wonderful and we’d love to go back. Our family loves boating and swimming off of boats so this was perfect for us! At the end he recommended a place for lunch that had the best pizza! Back to the boat in plenty of time. Cab ride should be only 15€, not 35€.
Francesco was a great captain and tour guide. He is a local of Naples and was able to share some great stories about the history of the area and his personal experiences growing up there. I would highly recommend. Due to time limitations we booked the 1.5 hour cruise. Next time we come back to this area we will book a longer trip with Francesco l.
Francesco was a wonderful captain. He shared with us beautiful places to swim and enjoy ourselves. We will be back to tour, boat, and swim with him again one day!
Francesco was an amazing host! Really fun trip overall!
Great afternoon, stopped so we could go swimming, we took some beers so a lovely afternoon on the sea
We had an amazing time on the Naples Coastal Paradise Boat Tour with Francesco! Francesco was a fantastic captain and host, making sure everyone had everything they needed. The boat was great, the music was fun, and the stops for swimming along the coast were spectacular. We were also lucky to share the boat with a nice group of ladies, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend booking this!
Great experience with our teens. The boat was nice and clean and the captain was very friendly. We would do it again.
It was beauitful. Our guide was charming and fun. He took us to some lovely spots to swim. Would go again!
We’ve had an amazing time! Francesco showed us all these beautiful locations in Posillipo. I’ll book a second trip with my friend soon 😍
It was a fantastic experience. The scenery was lovely, tunes were fun, swimming spots were absolutely beautiful.
Had a truly wonderful experience with Francesco!! Beautiful sights on a beautiful day, we loved his little bits of information about the area and the various pit stops for prosecco & swimming :) Would highly recommend, we had a blast! He let us stay out a bit longer than the 3 hours because we wanted to swim one last time in Naples! Loved the boat too it was epic, and he was a very skilled driver (it was especially windy but he handled it like a pro)!
They didn’t have the correct amount of people book. We were a group of 2 and paid $100 each. It was supposed to last for 3 hours but since not the correct amount of people booked he only have us 1.5 hours. We also did not get to snorkel or paddle board. The captain was great and very nice but the description of this excursion is not accurate at all.
Such an incredible experience!! We ended up being the only two to book our time slot and got upgraded to a private tour for an additional small fee. It was a delight, the beautiful open water, complimentary drinks, kind and knowledgeable Captain Francesco!! A beautiful way to end our honeymoon in Italy 🇮🇹
WE LOVE FRANCESCO!! Truly the best experience we’ve had so far in Italy and we had the best time!! Francesco is so friendly, lively and welcoming, and we felt so comfortable chatting and laughing with him. He was the cherry on top of the amazing route he took us on!! Highly recommend!!!
We had the most AMAZING experience with Francesco!! The sweetest man with so much knowledge on Naples! It was our favorite day in Naples by far:) thank you!!
We had a great experience on our boat, there was just us and one other couple. Francesco was a great captain, very knowledgeable on the history of Napoli and took us to some of the most beautiful swimming spots. My girlfriend had a bit of see sickness and Francesco was very helpful supplying water and putting up shade for her.
Francesco was the best captain! A delightful ride along the coast of Naples, swimming spots, and history explained. A perfect afternoon!
Captain Francesco’s boat tour was amazing. We saw a view of Naples we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. He gave us history and current culture lessons along the way. We were able to stop and swim twice and enjoy the views of Vesuvius and mountains. Francesco had drinks and towels waiting for us after swimming. It was the perfect mix of relaxation, information and wonder.
We had an amazing boat tour in Naples with friends. Everything was perfectly organized, the communication was excellent, and we received all the information we needed. There were two swimming stops, plus drinks and towels provided, which made it very comfortable. Francesco was extremely friendly and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed a relaxing and fun day on the water. Highly recommended!
Francesco was fabulous, he took us wherever we wanted to go, gave us lots of Prosecco and told us the history of Naples. He also played the music we asked for. I couldn’t recommend the trip more. It was the best boat trip I’ve ever done !
Francesco was incredibly warm and friendly and made us feel very safe, I think that absolutely made the difference for this boat tour. My friend actually swam in the ocean for the first time ever (we are in our early twenties), despite being nervous, with the help of pool noodles that Francesco had on board (and also life jackets etc, but my friend only ended up taking a pool noodle). Tunes were great, lively enough but chill, swim was amazing, we felt very relaxed by the end of it. Many thanks again to Francesco!
