The trip consisted of three parts, tour of Naples I just happened to be the only English speaking person onboard, Pompeii which worked out well. But lunch and Sorrento were cancelled by the operator midway through the day. So be warned you might not get what you pay for.

Itinerary
The tour starts with a sightseeing of Naples of about 2 hours with a small group led by a professional guide and operated with little minibuses. Pick up in hotel at 8:15 and first stop at the cathedral to visit its treasure chapel and S.Restituta basilica. Drive along the town hall square where’s the New Castle built by French family of Anjou and stop in Posillipo area on S.Antonio church terrace to get the best view of the city and the bay. Go on to Plebiscite square to see the front of the Royal Palace, the beautiful church of St.Francesco di Paola in its neoclassic style, Umberto I gallery and San Carlo theatre.
Transfer to Pompeii to explore one of the most fascinating places of Naples environs under the narration by a professional guide. In roman time Pompei was a rich and populated town, full of private and public buildings. On a summer's day in 79 A.D, the entire town and around 20.000 of its inhabitants were buried under tons of ash and pumice because of a violent explosion of Mt Vesuvius. A shower of very fine ash was deposited everywhere to a depth of more than six meters, enveloping everything and adhering to the forms of the bodies and of their clothes. Almost 2.000 years later, you have the opportunity to discover the everyday life of the Imperial Age and imagine the panic of the people before the city was so disastrously buried. In two walking tour, your guide will show you fascinating places such as The Forum, Thermal Baths, Lupanare and Vetti's House with it's beautiful frescos. After the visit brief stop for lunch with pizza&drink.
After lunch departure toward Sorrento coast. It will be possible to admire during the way the suggestive medieval Castle from which the name of the famous town Castellammare di Stabia comes, the small and enchanting beaches of Vico Equense and Seiano and the typical mediterranean vegetation full of lemon and orange trees. Stop at the panoramic viewpoint in Meta di Sorrento to look up to the wonderful sight of the bay overlooking the sea. Stop in Sorrento for a brief visit of the town (about one hour). The guide will show you the most renowned places walking throught the suggestives narrow streets full of stores and little workshops, as far as one of the most scenic place of Sorrento: the so-called Villa Comunale from where is possible to admire the beauties of the golf as far as Punta Campanella and Capri Island and immortalize the breathtaking scenary. Return to Naples at around 5:15 pm.

Great, we had great time and we had the best tour guide! We will recommend to everybody to use Viator.
A very good tour of Pompeii! Our guide was excellent. Very thorough and knowledgeable. The other tours are also very nice but Pompeii is a stand alone experience.
Elisa was an outstanding and entertaining guide, sharing her knowledge so articulately. Although a full day, it was broken into great parts and the communication for transport was very clear.
We started the tour by being the only two people with our guide, Alyssa, and our driver, Mimo. She was very informative and obviously loves what she does. She gave us recommendations of places to eat and see for the next day. When we got to Pompeii, we were joined by a larger group and her professionalism continued. She had good banter with all of the group and made us all feel included. I loved that she had treats for the cats in Pompeii! Thank you Alyssa for a lovely tour. Thank Mimo for keeping us safe, especially on the very rainy and busy roads.
Drivexatoubd naples was not rhe best lazy tour guide . Pompeii an absolute chaotic experience. Sorrento was probably the best bit
Our tour guide-Elisa was very knowledge and introduced us to many parts of Naples, in the beginning we were a small group of 6. She told us the history and the importance of the many buildings and areas we experienced; we had time to explore on our own. Elisa accompanied us to Pompeii where they added about 20 people to our group of 6. Our driver was good, but I was a bit nervous since he was on his phone texting more than I was comfortable with. Pompeii was very crowded, we only were able to see a very small amount of the property, we never saw the brothels, but the area we did see Elisa was able to explain in great detail. It is very difficult walking in Pompeii and you should definitely wear good walking shoes. It was her 50th birthday and she knew everyone in the tourist area. At the end of about 2 hours, she had us wait in a large group until our name was called and then we walk to a large bus to be transferred back to our ship. I never got to have the lunch nor go to Sorrento since Elisa indicated I would never make it back to my ship on time. The excursion was very good but I wish they would have informed me prior that I could not complete it.
Naples and Pompeii tour components were fair, not extraordinary. However for Sorrento there was no tour at all. Total joke. We were dropped off by a driver who did not speak English with an audio tour that was designed for use in vehicle, not as a walking tour. The audio repeatedly reset and was no spe iifc to the town of Sorrento. I was given a used earpiece that needed to be inserted into the ear, which was completely unsanitary. The Sorrento experience was definitely not a tour, more like wandering aimlessly in the rain after s paper map disintegrated. The company only provided 2/3 of the package they marketed, with the final 1/3 amounting to transportation only. Look elsewhere for a better tour package.
Our tour guide to snd while in Pompeii was very knowledgeable & friendly, did a wonderful job! If based solely on her iI’d give a 5 star review. But the young msn who took over at lunch time forgot to tell the driver to pick us up so i had to send several messages to the company, and one of us went looking for the young man.He admitted to having forgot to alert our driver.Things happen, but because it added a bit of stress and added almost a half hour delay, and the stop in Sorento was not what we had hoped for. The map was very confusing, and the area very crowded, so we asked to be picked up a half hour early.
My experience with Naples and Pompeii tour was excellent, unfortunately the Sorrento tour was not. We were dropped off by our wonderful driver Enzo who gave us an audible device for us to use as a guide instead of a person tour guide offered in our package. I was very disappointed since I miss out on many of the attractions expected.
Naples was lack luster at best, tour guide was not friendly and staff at Pompei was even worse, Cut our losses and went back early and did not even go to Sorrento. Save your money. Argued with me over what time shil was leaving, didn't care if I got back in time.
The tour was very good. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we had to cut our tour short and missed the Sorrento segment to make sure that we got back to the ship on time.
The city of Naples part of this tour is a waste of time. We spent most of the time in traffic and picking up people who only booked Pompei. The Pompei part of the tour was excellent!! Guide was very entertaining. The pizza lunch was delicious, however we sat in the restaurant for an hour and a half while the tour company shuffled people onto different buses who booked different tours, leaving us only 1 hour in Sorrento. A little disappointed since Sorrento is amazing and we would have liked more time. Our guide in Sorrento was friendly and pleasant.
The highlight of the tour was the visit to Pompeii. Our guide was simply excellent, witty and very informative. Naples was good, especially the coffee/pastry stop. We ended up skipping Sorrento as we ran out of steam and decided to return to the ship. We can't comment on that part
Our first stop in Naples was a church, which was a waste of time. It took and hour to drive to Sorrento and back and they only gave us an hour to walk around. This tour is ok if you really want to see each stop and you only have a day, otherwise I'd look elsewhere.
Best part were the guides Elisa & Elga. Very knowledgeable and kind. Too big of an itinerary for one day especially considering how bad traffic was. Barely made it back to ship on time. Everything we saw was amazing & guides were highlight as was Limoncello store in Sorrento!
Really good trip n very accommodating. I did the Naples part by myself with a native guide from Napoli who was very informative n friendly. The second part to Pompepi with the same was great due to Covid less busier. The same guide was very informative n brought the past to the present. The third part was brief about hour but still good with a testing at a shop of lemon liquiod n chocolate. Defo recommend this tour n the tour company.
This was a great tour especially during the Naples and Pompeii portion. The guide was extremely professional and equally as knowledgeable. We stopped at the absolute best coffee house, OMG is all that I can say about Caffe Gambrinus. The only reason we decided upon a 4 Star rating is because we spent far too little time in Sorrento. Sorrento is the place where the shopping is best and we were unable to do any shopping with the exception of the Limonoro Limoncello store and we were hurried then. So the next time we return, we will pick a tour that spends time in Sorrento after the coffee shop.
We were picked up from our cruise ship for our private tour of Naples. I didn't think a great deal of Naples as it was hectic and very built up. The traffic was absolutely awful. The cathedral is beautiful and the frescoes were amazing. Our tour guide Eliza was so interesting with so much knowledge. We then went onto Pompeii where our small group met up with a larger party. Eliza continued to give us so much detail about the town of Pompeii before it was destroyed by the volcano. There is so much to see but you do need to have the experience of a tour guide to get the best of your visit. We then went to have a pizza lunch and rejoined the next group to take us onto Sorrento. Would have liked to have more time in Sorrento as it is so pretty. Overall it was an interesting day but I would recommend perhaps skipping Naples to allow more time in Pompeii and Sorrento.
Elisa is a very good guide who showed us around Naples. After on Pompeii we had maria who knows the site very well and gave us good explanations. The meal consists of a daisy pizza and a drink and is done in 40 minutes. Sorrento is a very beautiful city to visit.
Excelente tour .
