Pick up in Naples. We pick up customers at various points in the city center. The confirmation of the pickup time and location will be sent by email. The driver and the tour leader will hold a banner with the tour name and a list of participants. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the meeting time. This was a fascinating tour. The ruins are really amazing. We learned alot about this city. We also visited Pompeii at another time and this city has more mosaics and frescoes to see.
Our house Thomas was great. Note the bus trip from the port is included in the 3 hours. The tour ended at roughly 3 hours, so the bus ride back to port was on top of the 3 hour tour (yes I said it). The bus ride back was 20-25 minutes. The bus ride there took a bit longer because we made a quick stop somewhere else to pick up a few other people.
Very interesting but not on the scale of Pompeii for interest. Tom the guide was very knowledgeable but we found him slightly hard to understand at times. Felt also we missed some bits and in retrospect might have been better to go around on our own with audio guide

Our guide was very informative
This was a great experience and I am glad we found the time to do it in addition to Pompeii. There is more art and because it is smaller it is easier to navigate. Carmela our tour guide and Raffaele, our Herculenaum tour guide were exceptional. Carmela effortlessly flowed between English, Spanish, French and Italian accommodating all of the tourists.
Our guide was very informative and welcoming. We learned a lot and benefitted from his knowledge, expertise and fluent English. He dealt with some very random questions brilliantly and was very patient with some of the people in the party. it was a shame that some of the group made the latter part of our visit very rushed due to then needing to get back to Naples for their cruise ship. It didn’t particularly impact our enjoyment of the trip but this could possibly be something that the organisers might look at in the future. A heads up, perhaps, that many of the people are cruisers so we could have considered a different time for our tour.

Tour guide tried but we understood very little
The tour guide was not the least concerned about our tour. She showed up right at 1pm so there was a group of us standing around for a while wondering if we were in the right stop. Then after that she had two other stops before we started out of town. It was 2pm before we made it to our tour location. That fine I thought we had time. What I didn't know was the tour was over 2 hours. Now how they get away saying its only a 3 hour tour is baffling to me. The tour itself was great but the time crunch was irritating. Now we were doing a tour in off season and on a weekend. The guide said week day tours the traffic can add a lot of time getting back to the ship. Also we were traveling off season. Many of the buildings we went to see were to small to do more then a few people at a time. Which added time taking turns. Also the description didn't mention we would be in a 30 passenger bus that was mostly full. Glad we made in back on time and Herculaneum was definitely worth a visit but I would try had find a different tour company.

Dream come true to visit Heraculum and Pompeii. Tomaso was our guide. Special man, you like him or hate him. Easy, super relaxed, bit monotonous and special humor. But with great knowledge of Heraculum. Just do it, it’s something else 😄

Tomas was a great tour guide. I was a little concerned when we started because we didn’t have ear pieces, but Tomas kept us close and I could easily hear him. He was great about answering questions and giving thorough explanations.
Very interesting visit enlivened by torrential rain and thunder and lightning! Our guide Diego was so enthusiastic about the site and was also skilful in showing us as much as possible whilst avoiding the worst of the rain!
Gelsomina was a wonderful guide through Herculaneum. She had a detailed knowledge about the history and explained everything very clearly. We could have easily spent the entire day with her.

Be careful when booking regarding pick up locations. I was under the impression that my party of 3 would be picked at the Napoli Marine Terminal and I upgraded the tour for that reason. When I called the morning of the tour to reconfirm our reservation I was told we would not be picked up and that the tour schedule had changed from 1:30 to 2:00 pm. I had just received an email saying we should arrive at the park at 1:00pm for the 1:30 tour. It was very confusing and disappointing as I was expecting that the upgrade would include the pick up. We got to the park at 1:30, for the new start at 2:00. The tour started at 2:30. There was a lot of confusion with the tour guides. We were told that we did not have a reservation even though I had made a full payment and the e-tickets were on my cell phone. We had to wait for 2 more guides to arrive at the park. The guides were pleasant and assured us they would get it straightened out and they did but it was very stressful waiting for the authorization to come through from the local office. The other group of three that we toured with had a very similar experience with their pick up point and the time change. Alessi was our guide, he was phenomenal. He was knowledgeable and the tour structure was well planned and enjoyable. The other 2 guides were very helpful and worked to get everything sorted out. What is confusing is that we were told that this particular tour does not include a pick up point however the other tour guests were offered a pick up which was changed and caused them to have to reschedule their plans. I would like to request a refund of 65 euros (our cost to get to the park) and the additional 1 hour that we waited for the tour to start. Please advise.

our tour guide was so well versed in everything having to do with the site. we explored and never felt tired or bored. so much to discover in those ruins and she kept up with us answering every question.
This was overall a smooth experience with a good little overview of Herculaneum. Pickup was pretty simple, we met at the docks, but some people were picked up directly from their hotels. It was an efficient enough process. We were having a little trouble finding the meetup spot (user error, not the fault of the tour) and our tour guide Connie called me to help me find the correct meet up spot which I appreciated. Our tour guide at the site JohnPaul covered as much as possible in the time allotted for the tour. Don’t expect to cover everything, although Herculaneum is smaller than Pompeii there is still SO much to see and learn about. We had a good experience and it was nice to be transported directly there and back.
Staff was friendly and helpful getting me there and being sure I made it back. The tour of Herculaneum was extremely short and I felt like I was being rushed past areas that I would have wanted to see. The worst part is they had me waiting a full half hour after the tour at the entrance to coordinate with another group. Ideally I should have been on the inside exploring more.
We were taken off private tour and put on one collecting passengers from cruise ships. It was a disaster it took 1 hour just to find passengers then our tour at Herculaneum was rushed as passengers had to get back to ship but there was no bus. Terrible
Even though you confirm 3x the pickup will be at the cruise terminal, that is not where they will be. You will miss the tour! Even on the day of the tour they changed the time of pick up 2x and tried to pick us up more than a 10-15 minute drive away. After waiting 35 minutes for them to pick us up at the cruise terminal, they still had not arrived. They kept saying 5 more minutes. When asked if we would make it back to the ship in time, they answered we should!
Our tour leader (Arianna) was friendly, helpful and informative. The driver(Biaggio) got us to our destination on time and safely, and our tour guide (Alessio) was also friendly and informative. We would recommend World Tours for your holiday trips (we also went to Pompeii with the same company which was also excellent!!!)
The tour operator was totally irresponsible. The tour was scheduled for a 1:00 pm pickup at the cruise security checkpoint. We confirmed this 3 times. An hour before the tour, we are texted that pickup will be 1:15. 30 minutes later, 1:05. Fifteen minutes later, pickup will be at a point roughly a mile away from the security checkpoint. At 1:35, we still had not been picked up and no updated time had been given. Our cruise ship was scheduled to sail at 5:00 pm and we had been given assurances that we would be back from the tour in time. Well, the guarantee of a timely return turned into “we think” you’ll get back in time. At that point, we cancelled. The operator was a full 35 minutes late, tried to change the pickup point at the last minute, and still no where in sight when we called to cancel. The only reason that I gave the tour 1 star, is that ZERO stars was not an option. On top of that, Viatour has the audacity to charge us for the tour and refuse our refund request.

The tour was excellent, we enjoyed it despite the scorching sun. Our guide Tommasso helped us travel 2000 years into the past and painted a vivid picture of ancient lives.
Our guide Thomas gave great and a lot of explenation of Ercolano. Not only was it very informational but also with a slight touch of humor.

Excellent tour. Pickup communication was very precise (which is always a worry) and Nina was there to collect us at least 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Guide at the site, Tommaso, was very knowledgeable which is expected but also took care to ensure the whole group got the most out of the tour in the very very hot weather. Danilo the driver was also on time to collect us so everything went well. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
