Waste of money. You are taken by bus to Pompei where you receive and audio recorder with a map and given 2 hours to explore the place. The audio recording does not work well and you practically wander around the ruines not understanding what you see. Its best to take a real guide. For this rate I would have expected that. Vesuvio you get the opportunity to climb the vulcano, no explanation or guidance given.

The entry ticket grants access to a wealth of fascinating sites, including domus, temples, theaters, and amphitheaters, all within the archaeological area. Step back in time as you uncover the secrets of Pompeii, a captivating city preserved under the ash of the 79 AD eruption, waiting to reveal its treasures centuries later. Explore beautifully frescoed domus, unlike any others; walk through an authentic brothel; marvel at the grandeur of impressive amphitheaters, and so much more.
The bus goes to the Vesuvius National Park (40 minutes) and stops at 1000 metres hight and there customers will have free time for the visit of Crater. Clients usually have 1 hour and half free time and to reach the Top you just need about 25 minutes by walk. During the walk you will admire Naples Gulf, Sorrento Coast, Capri and more islands. Once at the Crater you can see it smoking (fumaroles) and parts of solidified Lava. After that you will meet again our driver at the same place he dropped you off and you will come back to the meeting point in Pompeii. Total trip duration will be about 3 hours including bus transportation. The price includes the entry ticket to reach Mount Vesuvius Crater and it guarantees hassle-free entry to the crater at the booked time.

This was a convenient, if somewhat basic, way to visit Vesuvius and Pompeii. There was not a lot of commentary from our guide on the 40 minute journey to the mountain.. The unaccompanied 20-30 minute (1km) walk from the bus up to the volcano caldera rim was steep and testing. A terrific thunderstorm broke as we re-boarded our bus. Pompeii was also an unaccompanied visit where we were issued with an audio guide device. Our devices never worked. This might have been due to the hurried and cursory briefing by local tourist office staff. The visit was very wet and we were glad that we had brought waterproof clothing, umbrellas and sensible footwear. The site is very large and in our unguided rambling through the rain and flooded pathways we visited only 3 of the archaeological zones in the time available (2hrs 30mins). The bus was very prompt in leaving for the return to Naples.
People that giving out devices for audio your want to have your passport as a security. You must be mad if you are happy giving your passport away to strangers. This should be clearly mentioned. I refused to leave my passport with them so missed out on audio tour. There should be option with or without audio when you are paying for experience.
There wasn’t much information given for the booking but we got on a bus and taken to Pompeii from Naples. The Pompeii ruins were good but felt like we needed longer than the time we had. I was 7 months pregnant so told we would have an extra 10 mins to come back down to the bus from Mt Vesuvius but it didn’t wait so the bus we had to get only went to Pompeii and then we had to get two trains back to Naples taking nearly 3 hours. The toilets were all being locked up at the base of Mt Vesuvius, even though people were waiting, which isn’t ideal when pregnant and there’s no other option. The trip felt rushed and had very little info on timings, meeting points, etc. it wasn’t a “full day” as described.
Vesuvius trip was good. Pompeii was ok. Might have been better with a guide rather than self guide. Just to note that you go to Vesuvius first then Pompeii.
The actual sites of Vesuvius and Pompeii were awesome, we highly recommend them. The tour company could do a better job with regards to making sure we all get on the correct buses - it was a bit confusing at Vesuvius but that’s the only frustration we had. Other than that the buses were clean and ac seemed to be working fine. Worth the money definitely.
Bus tour was great for getting you straight to the destinations! Very good if doing it all for first time! Would recommend!
Anna was a wonderful guide along with the driver Gerardo.❤️
Good value for money Good handling with the private bus
For Vesuvius it was very good, early in the morning not many people, beautiful views!!! For Pompeii, I recommend a guide, because we are given an audiogram and a plan, we get lost quickly!!!
We had booked an excursion for the widow and pumped on 31/12/2025 The widow was closed, so we went straight down to Pompei, already I don’t understand that we have to go upstairs to know if the trail is open how it is that the organizers can not contact the trail managers it will avoid unnecessary transport At the end of the visit of Pompei we learn that we will not make herculaneum (option proposed in case of closure of the widow) because it is festive day and the site closes at 1pm... why did we not go to Herculaneum directly descending from the widow instead of going to Pompei? At the end of the excursion we learn that we will be refunded the entrance to the widow who is 12 euros per person!!! I ask for a refund of half of the ticket because the ticket to Pompei is worth 20 euros and that of the widow of 12 euros which means that we paid 64 euros of transport per person, which is unacceptable in view of the service! Moreover the guide abandoned us to the widow she was to meet us in Pompei we never saw him again. The organization really left something to be desired because the care at the tourist office was very messy! Not to mention one of the organizer who told us about toilets in a bar which forced us to consume instead of telling us that there were toilets at the entrance of Pompei!!! You really think we're Americans and by the way we're from Corsica so we know how tourism goes If I don’t get half the tickets refunded I will post this message as a comment on get your guide and around the vesuve Comment put because the company did not want to refund me half the tickets
This excursion is great because you join the 2 visits (Pompeii and Vesuvius) in the same day , both sites so related t so impressive. We had no problem with the organization, all very well. Just a word of advice, in Pompeii go first and see what. More importantly, if you don't give time to something other than that. More prominent.
The experience is very good, the places are very interesting and very worth the visit. However, we thought there would be a guide who would explain the two places to visit. The time is a little bit just to visit everything in 6 and a half hours
Unfortunately, I can't rate the trip because it never happened. The information on the meeting point was unclear, as was the procedure for collecting the tickets. The organizer not available. Conclusion: No benefit received, no communication, no money back. A purely financial and temporal loss. Not recommended.
