Daytrip From Naples To Amalfi Coast, Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

What an incredible experience! We booked a private 9-hour Amalfi Coast tour with Rome in Limo in August for our group of six, and it was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end! Our driver was simply amazing! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day so enjoyable. We were picked from the Naples Port where our cruise ship docked and spent the day exploring the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, with stops in Positano, Amalfi, and finally Ravello before heading back to Rome. Every stop was beautiful, and we never felt rushed. The vehicle was spacious, extremely comfortable, and had AMAZING air-conditioning, which was especially appreciated in the August heat! What really made the experience special was our driver. His knowledge of the area, wonderful personality, and genuine friendliness made an already beautiful day even more memorable. If you’re visiting Naples or planning a tour of the Amalfi Coast, we cannot recommend Rome in Limo highly enough! It was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy, and we would absolutely book with them again.

We got picked up at Napoli Centrale and taken to Pompeii then dropped at Amalfi Coast. Our driver was Giuseppi, a lovely gentleman from Naples. He was very informative and flexible to our needs. He was a safe driver and maintained his patience among some crazy drivers around us. He was personal and respectful and professional all at once. The car, a Mercedes sedan, was clean, rode well, and comfortable. The service is well worth it. You get what you pay for.

We had a great time. We took a cruise and used RomeinLimo to be at 3 stops in Italy waiting for us. Marco in Rome was amazing. He took us to spots we didn’t know we wanted to see. Unfortunately we only had one day in each port but our fantastic drivers made it great. In Naples Alex picked us up and he was equally as amazing. He took us to places we didn’t know we wanted to see. I highly recommend using them.

RomeinLimo is truly amazing and made our multi-part trip go very smoothly. We just got back from Rome and here are all the services we did with RomeinLimo. I contacted them 8 months before the trip, Jany was very patient and super responsive, which was a great sign already! We used them for all our transfers (2 families, a lot of luggages), Rome airport to hotel, hotel to cruise port and vice versa. All drivers were super punctual and very helpful. We used RomeinLimo for the private Vatican guided tour and Colosseum guided tour on the 2 days prior to our cruise and had the most amazing and knowledgeable guide Barbara. She was warm and kind, helped us navigate all the historic sites under the 35C+ hot Roman sun! My little one was jet lagged and falling asleep through the tour, Barbara held his hand and kept him going! She is the best!! We also used them for our cruise port day in Naples, our driver Max waited for us and took us to Ravello, Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento! He told us history about each place, lots of fun facts, and recommended the best restaurant in Sorrento for lunch. We were expecting just a driver but Max was above and beyond, and his superb driving skill was unbelievable!! All in all, we highly recommend RomeinLimo and will not hesitate to use them again!

Our tour guide Alessandro (Alex) was full of fun facts, and historical information. He had contacted us the day before to confirm time and location. We had a beautiful day with Rome In Limo and Alex as our guide. He was very helpful and patient when we lost track of time through these amazing places. The car was extremely clean and Alex was extremely professional. I highly recommend for a terrific day.

We took a shore excursion from Naples port to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello during our cruise vacation. We recommend this company100%. We were delighted with our driver Eugenio. He was exceptional! The route was gorgeous, he provided highlights from every city and free time to explore the different areas. He arranged a perfect spot for lunch in Ravello and even got us the best granita ever as a treat from him to us. The amount of time spent at each place was perfect and we got back to Napoli with sufficient time to do a short walk around the city and be back at the ship on time. Alex was an amazing driver and educator! He gave us history in the areas we drive though, the best recommendations for food and sites, was a smooth and excellent driver, and was super friendly! We had the best day!

Our driver Alex was fantastic. Knowledgeable and great sense of humor. Took us to a fabulous place for wine tasting and ensured we saw everything we wanted even those it required more time.

We had the pleasure of utilizing Rome in Limo again for Naples port and we did the Ravello, Almafi Coast and Positano tour with Giovanni. We used Rome in Limo about 8 years ago and it did not disappoint us. They are just as awesome now as they were before. We absolutely loved our tour guide. He took us to the most scenic spots for pictures. He gave us time to walk around to shop, etc. He recommended an amazing local restaurant that was out of the touristy area (which also had the best views and food!). Highly recommend this company and would do use them again in a heartbeat.

We were greeted by our driver Daniel, like he was meeting up with old family! He was fantastic, pointing out so many things and stopping to allow us to take photos. He left us some time on our own asked if we wanted him to make lunch reservations for us and took care of that. Lunch was great and inexpensive. We could not have been happier with our tour. This was our 2nd time using Rome in Limo and I will always go back to them and refer my friends to them. Jany in the office is also great and very helpful !

Our driver Maria was amazing. She picked us up at the port of Naples and gave us the most picturesque tour that was also very informative and comfortable. The Amalfi coast is incredible and Ravello was so charming. Maria arranged lunch for us in Ravello at a restaurant with the most unforgettable views and delicious foods. I highly recommend Rome in Limo, and if you are in Naples, ask for Maria.

Four retired friends had a most delightful time at the Amalfi Coast on the first leg of our tour of Italy. We had used Rome in Limo to tour Rome in 2015, and were so pleased that we used their service for several parts of Italy this time. Jany helped us with planning the trip over several months, and she always responded to emails within a day. I seriously do not believe she ever takes a day off —- and she is so helpful and patient. Our Rome in Limo driver, Daniel, picked us up at our Sorrento hotel the first morning, and we were in for a treat! He was incredibly engaging, he knew about everything from history to shopping to local cuisine….plus he laughed with us all day. Daniel was kind and attentive and made us feel that he sincerely wanted us to have the best possible experience. He always tried to drop us off as close to our destination as possible, and that’s sometimes difficult with so much traffic and limited parking near the coast. Daniel is a very careful and excellent driver. He is quite a talker, and we are too, so we had laughter, good conversation, and history lessons all day. He was most accommodating when we wanted or needed to stop. Thank you Daniel, Jany, and Rome in Limo for a wonderful first time in Sorrento, Positano, Ravello, and Amalfi!

Alfonso met us at the airport in Naples and from the moment we met Alfonso he was outstanding. He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Sorrento/Amalfi Coast. He took us to the Cantina Vesuvius Winery and we had a great time. He drove us to Amalfi after visiting the winery and serenaded us with classic Neapolitan songs😁😁. Alfonso was awesome!!

Had a fantastic time on this tour! Our guide, Alex, was phenomenal. He kept us ahead of the crowds and was so engaging during the drive the time between towns flew by. He kept everyone interested with the information he gave us about the area and truly made the day a fantastic experience. We always had plenty of time in the towns and never felt rushed. And the restaurant he took us to was just perfect. I have used Rome in Limo in the past and would happily do so again and again!!

Took a private 8-hour guided tour from Rome in Limo from the port of Naples. Had a wonderful driver, Alessandro (Alex), who made the day memorable for us. Took us for a tour of Positano, drove quickly through Amalfi, which was overcrowded, and up to Ravello where we toured and had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the fabulous view. We had plenty of time to enjoy the day at a leisurely pace, and took a very scenic route through the mountains to get back to the port. Fabulous company to deal with! Jany took care of everything i Naples (and in Rome for another private tour.) Can't say enough good things about this company and its drivers! They will make your experience in Italy unforgettable.

This excursion was one of the best of our entire trip. Our guide was Giovanni, who was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The Amalfi Coast was beautiful beyond words. I will also use RomeInLimo when traveling to Italy. We have booked many trips through the years and their service is stellar. Never a disappointment.

We took this trip with Rome in a Limo four adults. Having visited Positano and Amalfi ourselves, this trip we were with our daughter and son in law who wanted to see the sights and we had not visited Ravello. We were met by Giovani holding a sign with our name and off to the vehicle a very comfortable large vehicle. Giovanni suggested we went to Ravello first and took us over the mountains along some winding roads. We reached Ravello - had time to walk around and have a coffee (stunning place), met up again and we were off to Amalfi. Again we had time to walk around and enjoy the sights. Giovanni asked what we had in mind for lunch and where. He suggest a family run restaurant overlooking Positano before we actually went into Positano. The restaurant was perfect and there were a number of drivers who obviously have some kind of arrangement with the restaurant but it worked for us all. The food was local and homemade and lots of it! Positano was busy and wet and we did not hang around too long as it was not as good in the rain! We were therefore back to the car. Giovanni could have cut short his day, but offered us a taster of Sorrento which we gladly took (the sun had come out by then) and we were able to have a short explore. Back to the ship in good time for our sailing. Giovanni was perfect, he was very professional and a very good driver and gave us a day to remember. We would highly recommend this Company..

We were greeted at the dock by our driver Alex. He was charming and knowledgeable. He was informative and funny. The Mercedes van he drove was very comfortable and clean. There had been a landslide on the Amalfi coast the night before our arrival. Alex knew we wanted to see all of the coast so he expertly navigated the back roads around to take us to the highest point. By the time we traveled down the coast the roads were reopened and we were able to see all of the amazing towns on the coast. Alex was sensitive to our needs, always checking to make sure we were comfortable and happy. He was very concerned that we had a wonderful experience. He was very diligent about getting us back to the boat on time as well. All in all, we had an excellent experience. We would definitely book with Rome In Limo the next time we need a private tour.

We had the most amazing day on the Amalfi coast and we owe most of it to our guide, Enrico! He taught us so much about each place we visited. He took the time to let us out, take pictures of us together, let us take pictures of everything we wanted to, and tell us about all of our surroundings along the way. We are on our honeymoon and he brought us to a beautiful restaurant and told the owners we were on our honeymoon, so they had champagne waiting for us upon our arrival. He didn’t miss a beat! We are so thankful we had Enrico for our guide for the day! We highly recommend requesting him as your guide for any tour you desire and using Rome in Limo. We had a great experience and it was exceptionally easy to use with such friendly people. We can not wait to return to Italy!

We had an amazing day touring the coast and visiting several small towns with our awesome driver, Enrico. Enrico was very informative and entertaining and did whatever he could to ensure we had a great trip. He also picked out a fantastic lunch spot for us that we will never forget. We were able to use Rome in Limo in also in Rome and Naples and we had great experiences with those trips as well. This is the only way to visit Italy and we highly recommend Rome in Limo anyone. No more big tour buses for us.

Wonderful tour along the Amalfi Coast with stops in Ravello, Positano and additionally Sorrento. Victoreo was a very skillful and safe driver as well as informative and entertaining. He managed to get us close to all sites/areas of interest which saved a lot of time and walking. The drive was beautiful and we were able to see everything on our list. We had a delicious lunch in Sorrento and plenty of free time anywhere we desired. So happy we chose taking a private vers big bus tour since we were able to see and experience so much more especially with Victoreo leading the way!

We had used Romeinlimo in 2011 when we were in Naples, and we had such a great experience we used them again this trip and were not disappointed! Without question I would recommend Romeinlimo to anyone that is visiting Italy if a tour is available! Our driver picked us up at the port and ran through the days itinerary. He was timely and personable. He asked if there was anything we wanted to do that he had not mentioned. We loved his choices but we also wanted to visit a limoncello factory. He made it happen! Having a private driver that can communicate both with us as americans and speak italian to the locals proved very helpful when visiting more remote areas. Our driver made a reservation for us to have lunch in Positano - which proved to be the best meal of the entire trip (not to mention the amazing house wines). As we drove through the Amalfi coast our driver pointed out area highlights and historic landmarks such as Pompeii. As we drove into Positano he sang to us in Italian which made our day. In addition, we also used this service in Florence. We experienced the same service as in Naples 10 out of 10 stars! Our driver in Florence was very knowledgeable, friendly and accomodating. We really wanted to go to a winery and our driver again made it happen. We stopped for gelato, rode the carousel in Florence, and visited Pisa. Just a wonderful day! The personal service was top notch and well worth the cost. In addition, Jany from Romeinlimo is very accommodating to both smaller and larger groups. I would recommend Romeinlimo to anyone/anytime.
