Absolutely loved it. Full of locals. A calm oasis. Natural pools, swimming pool, mud, showers, steam, sauna and rooms at several different temperatures. A traditional thermal baths experience. Superb food. Friendly staff. I was stunned by the hot rooms … the stone walls are so hot that water evaporates on them and they are too hot to touch of course. How on earth anyone was able to hew those out of the rock I do not know. All of it naturally occurring. Can’t speak highly enough of the day.

Getting there from Naples was harder than welcome anticipated as it involved a rail replacement bus connection but it was worth it when we arrived. We explored the outdoor pools first, feet nibbling fish in one and mud at the next with a 'greenhouse' to sit in to let the mud dry!! Signage wasn't great and we nearly didnt find the natural thermal pool and sauna inside th3 building. This was definitely the highlight. Beware though, bathing hats compulsory at the indoor pool and we were stopped but reception very kindly gave us one each.
Verry basic, not suited for children(10y) Overpriced for its service, crowded, not well indicated, where what is situated
An enjoyable way to spend the day. Relaxed setting to enjoy the thermal baths & saunas (wet & dry). Jets in indoor pool were powerful & felt good on our backs. A short train ride from central Naples & a 10 minute walk from the station. Staff friendly & receptionist spoke English & explained the various baths & facilities
The place is not looked after; everything is dated and tacky, which is kind of ok for the price you are paying. Stuff very rude; they didn’t know I understand Italian and they were doing rude comments on all costumers. No one at the till at the entrance told us what we needed, we had to ask for towels. Once in The main pool, they waited for us to get in the water to tell us very angrily that we needed hair caps. Not enough facilities.
The location of this place is splendid and the thermal waters are brilliant. Having said that, this is where the positive things end: Dear owners of Stufe di Nerone, please do justice to this wonderful jewel of a place - it really, really needs a good clean and please get rid of the mould, it is detrimental to health. You cannot really advertise your wonderful spa and the lovely waters as a place that is good for everybody's health when we know the effects of mould on respiratory health. I am a lover of spas and your place is in one of the most wonderful locations ever, with its 2000 year old history - but please, do it some justice, especially if you take 30 Euros per person!
Perfect place to unplug and relax. The only downside is that on that day they were doing electrical work, so the closing time was no longer 9 PM but 6 PM. My partner and I arrived at the facility at 1:30 PM or a little later, and only after paying (€40 per person) were we informed of this change in schedule. Nothing to say about the facility, but considering the arrival time, I expected more attention to the price.
"An extremely disappointing experience, far from what is described in the positive reviews. We found a very crowded facility with cleanliness standards that, in our opinion, are not adequate for the type of experience being sold. The outdoor pools were dirty and poorly maintained, with lounge chairs practically stuck together and a level of chaos more similar to a water park than a spa where one should relax. The underground area also left us quite perplexed: plastic seating, neglected environments, and a general feeling of poor hygiene. Considering the entrance fee, we expected a different level of quality, organization, and maintenance. The issue is not the ticket price, but what is actually offered. Personally, we would not return and do not recommend it to those seeking a well-maintained and relaxing spa experience."
Let's start with the value for money: 40 euros for entry. 8 euros for the bathrobe and towel. 3 euros for the swim cap. In total, 51 euros just to enter. There is no one to explain the facility; there is a brochure with a kind of map that is not easy to understand. It would be ideal to have someone explain how to use the mud, how long to keep it on, and its benefits; instead, there is no one, and the methods and timings are passed down by people who have been there more than a few times. There are two natural pools with fauna inside (fish); the larger one had an uninviting color, and indeed no one was swimming, and it is unclear whether it was actually swimmable or just for aesthetics (as mentioned, if there were someone to provide guidance, it would be a gain), the smaller one was clearer, but its excessive naturalness makes it unsuitable for those with movement issues or reduced mobility. Let's move to the upper side where there is an Olympic thermal pool with a level of cleanliness that left much to be desired. The highlight is reached by going down to the lower floors, where the lack of air exchange gives the place the smell of the breath and feet of the 'youthful' crowd that frequents this place quite often. There is not a trace of staff cleaning. The stoves were left to themselves, with plastic stools being used as chairs. These are Roman baths in the true sense of the word; they have not changed at all in 2000 years. I wholeheartedly advise against it; there are other thermal baths that for the same money offer a completely different level of experience. Regards.
A really nice experience, I don't understand people's complaints about the price. Sure, they could add a few more amenities, like bathrobes included in the price, but all in all it's a great facility.
I was in the structure x 6 days in a row, a couple of hours a day and I found it clean, organized, invigorating. Welcoming staff at reception, very active cleaners, manicured lawns and avenues. Three days a week you also practice water gym in the outdoor hot pool and the attendant is a great guide. At the end of the cycle I feel toned and relaxed. I'll definitely redo the subscription.
A beautiful place, a journey through time. Exceptional, with family or friends, coming is always a fantastic experience.
I have been to these spas in Bacoli and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The attractions are few and I did not find an adequate level of cleanliness: the tiles of the only indoor pool were dirty, with evident greenish halos. Another aspect that bothered me a lot was the attitude of a gentleman on staff who kept repeating insistently “silence, shut up”. I understand that it is a place dedicated to relaxation, but the way of asking was excessive and unpleasant, almost like going back to elementary school. The hot tub was full of people, practically impossible to get into. In general, besides the lower and upper tubs, there is not much else that justifies the experience. The relaxation room is nice, but the deckchairs are few compared to the large number of customers present. Positive note for the restaurant guys, very helpful and kind, although the food is average and not particularly noteworthy. Overall, an experience that did not meet expectations. 40 euros thrown away.
The structure is perhaps a bit dated but is an oasis of peace and relaxation not far from the city. Excellent services and cleanliness. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable.
The Terme Stufe di Nerone were a great disappointment for us. The rooms are very neglected and dirty. I've seen a lot of rusty doors, the park unkept, all a little arranged. The pools were dirty and the hot tubs were also very dirty. We paid 40 euros each but unfortunately we did not even take a bath... the outdoor pool had all the green walls, something never seen. The structure was a maze and the locker rooms uncomfortable. The only nice setting was the break room. I'm sorry, I visited many spas but these were really neglected.
Beautiful place where you can breathe an air of peace and pure relaxation... To return definitely... To visit at least once
We stayed on a Saturday in October. The entrances were numerous, to the point that it was difficult to find free sunbeds or deckchairs. These were placed next to each other, so there was no privacy. The rooms, even the quiet areas, were noisy, due to the rumors of the many people, some of whom had not even silenced their cellphones. Even the indoor and outdoor pools were always full of people. The outdoor areas were also full of flies and midges. We did not have the impression of being in a thermal park where to regenerate, but in a water park. The typical sounds of spa environments were missing, as well as no attention is paid to the need to insert appropriate seating, typical of any spa or spa park. The only positive note, homemade desserts. The organization overall is highly approximate and despite the low cost of the entrance fee (40 euros per person), I would not recommend it!
A very friendly place, we spent a beautiful relaxing day 🥰🥰🥰 and eating delicious pizzas.
Nero's Stoves are the right place to get lost and forget the city routine. The right place to take care of yourself, suitable for all ages. You can lose yourself among the thermal water pools, saunas, natural mud ponds and treat yourself to a nice relaxing massage. We spent a wonderful day with the family and it was great fun to cover ourselves with mud. Do not underestimate the quality of the restaurant that offers a wide choice for all tastes, with a pizzeria with a very good wood oven. Not to be missed if you pass through Naples and surroundings.
Nice structure with qualified and friendly staff, the only out of tune note the increase in the entrance fee quite exaggerated and, since you can not bring food from outside, adjust a little 'the prices of the restaurant would not be bad, considering that you are "forced" to use it
Restful setting. The antique part lacks maintenance (hygiene). We ate at the bar (salad with bresaola and eggplant baked pasta), we were disappointed with the meal. If we had known, we would have had our lunch box.
Fantastic day, with a family of friends It's the fourth time I come here, I'm from Brescia, every year I do a week in Naples, so one day I spend it here. The unique and beautiful spa area, it is true would need maintenance, however it is exceptional. The perfect healthy path. I always eat at the restaurant, this year is really improved, girls in uniform, you eat very well, then the girl who served and recommended was the top, super GOOD, POLITE and very humble, her name is RAMONA. I highly recommend this restaurant congratulations.
Too crowded and there are no controls in the relaxation areas where you should respect the SILENCE and instead there were gentlemen playing videos on their smartphones with a loud volume that disturbed everyone! I stressed instead of relaxing. The structure seemed a bit dilapidated and some areas should be renovated (plaster, deck chairs etc). In the Jacuzzi pools the maximum time was 15 minutes but there were people who spent two hours there and no one told them to go out to give the opportunity to other guests to use it. Too bad because the facility is large and could be run much better. You should ban the use of mobile phones, as they do in some European countries (Holland/Belgium) where there is a very different concept of relaxation or at least you should guarantee silence! The restaurant is very good but you have to pay there (there is no possibility to charge it on your bill and pay everything in the end) so you are forced to walk around with your wallet. The bathrobe and towel kit are not included. I don't think I'm going back.
Much improved, the price has increased , but some work has been done to improve the bathrooms and hairdryer area. The restaurant is very good with honest prices. Casatiello and delicious desserts. The staff was very kind and the service was fast!
A bad experience I do not recommend it to everyone. It is very large but the spaces do not offer all the comforts starting from the deck chairs, the showers are devoid of bubble bath and soaps, it is all unhygienic including swimming pools, stale air, dirty ashtrays that I have never actually seen in spas and spas. There is no welcome and as far as massages are concerned the masseuses are unprofessional, they should do a restoration of the whole room the showers outside are only cold water 😫 which shocked me, the pool tiles were slimy and slippery and moldy, the sauna instead is rusty, more than relaxing spas seemed more a gathering for the elderly. Good things
I was with friends on a Sunday morning until late afternoon. The structure I found a bit dated, changing rooms, lockers and showers inefficient. The small and super crowded indoor pool, outdoor pools and jacuzzis were nothing special. We also had lunch and the food was very good. In my opinion for what you pay and the service it gives is expensive.
Thermal facility ideal for a relaxing weekend where you can make mud at the pond included in the admission price really low. The villa is organized clean with sauna, natural steam bath various pools and kneipp path, after a day you can dine in Naples or in nearby pizzerias, highly recommended
The spa is very nice, only problem if we can say so, the pungent smell very strong you could not try to eliminate a little 'this smell I think of sulfur?
Recommendation to spend a relaxing day, making a truly unique experience, beautiful terrace restaurant where you can enjoy delicious dishes.
Given that I also have children, I do not consider positive the choice of the property to give access to the structure agitated and screaming children who chase and splash in the pools. It is a contradiction for a place dedicated to relaxation and many people complained about this. It looks like any water park and not a spa facility. It's a shame because the place deserves and also the restaurant. Without children would be "excellent"
Excellent spa, at the reception we find Olympia, a great Pro .. while in the restaurant, the 'excellent Michael prepared in advising the various dishes... to return.congratulations
Cute place with lots of greenery and the necessary to relax a little 'close to the city center. Too bad it is left completely to itself, with a little maintenance and a few more routes could make the qualitative leap. Too bad, places like this in the city are really rare, it could be a gold mine.
Really a nice place, a pleasant corner in which to relax and regenerate. In my opinion, however, it needs to be improved and modernized (the structure is partly dated), the place really has enormous potential. In particular, I suggest more attention to cleanliness and hygiene, which in a spa are really "conditio sine qua non". Tables, tables, chairs, sunbeds, deck chairs, sofas must always be clean. I have happened several times to find dirty ones, with obvious traces of previous users, both in the conservatory and on the terrace of the restaurant. In addition, customers should not be allowed the following practices that I have witnessed and which are not synonymous with hygiene: sitting on the terrace chairs with only the costume (those who come next must be able to sit on a clean chair) and removing the mud directly in the pond (those who bathe should be able to do so in clean water and not among the slag of other people's skin). Finally, both the semi-Olympic pool and the small one in the rock, must be cleaned during the day, often I happened to find a lot of hair. In short, a little more attention and care and you would be better!
These spas offer the best value for money, also have real natural saunas in beautiful caves. The park is very nice and we never had difficulty finding the sunbed, the restaurant and pizzeria services have very affordable prices that I would not have expected in a spa park. We will definitely return because it deserves a lot as a place especially for the price. Recommendation to everyone to go at least once
The environment is very pleasant, the cost low considering that the mud is available all day, the thermal pools amche, whirlpool and natural Turkish bath. The cost is low, we equal 30 euros, fair. You need the cap. Also the lunch was a nice surprise, both me and my boyfriend were very satisfied with the pizza, the sauce was delicious, and with drinks, croquettes and pizzas we paid 9 euros each.
Despite the sweltering heat, we were fine. So much space, so many possibilities: hot, very hot pools, whirlpools, mud therapy, which I have not done, but I have seen done by many people
I've been here for many years and it's gotten much worse. It is no longer a place to relax, now it is the kingdom of rude people that surveillance does not control and does not scold. The restaurant has become disproportionate in prices. It has lost its identity and authenticity. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired. Reluctantly for the first time we will not renew your subscription. The experience is related not only to the summer months but also to the winter months.
Che paura! While we were sunbathing there was a snake crawling between the beds and none of the employees could catch it. He was never found. Terrible.
This morning I went with my wife and daughter premised that I made 3 subscriptions ... usually although with a few stories in three we always managed to get in using subscriptions made more than a year ago this morning they had to give cash and the third entrance I had to pay it great way to give cash but bad for customer attention ...
Nice garden, satisfactory kitchen. Bad cleaning... Calidarium area with smell of nauseating pee to say the least, and coffee cup dirty with lipstick... not mine of course
Spa surrounded by greenery with average well-kept gardens. The spa includes a small path with various small pools, (including whirlpool, sauna, mud...). It is not possible to introduce food and drinks but there is the possibility to choose whether to eat in a pizzeria or refreshments. Among those I shot is not one of the best is better. Recommendation a half day.
Nice place, although they should take more care of the entrance hall equipped with dilapidated lockers and ugly to look at. The bar is very expensive pizza 3.50€ prices of the first very high for an almost self-service service.
I would like to start by saying that for the price you pay it could be fine, but I would prefer to pay a little more and have a more refined structure. And let it go a bit, too many people are confusing
All good except Prices of Restaurant Too expensive! avoid… Before it was more accessible. Now I have to say Luxury restaurant prices
I have been visiting these spas for years, the tranquility that was there before is now lost. Unfortunately silence is not respected and the sunbeds with towels are occupied even if it is written that it is forbidden. We were attacked by a customer for this reason and the operator did not silence the rude man... a real shame that a place like this is colonized by troglodytes.
Today I was even more amazed by the excellence of the services offered by the Stufe di Nerone spa: I had forgotten my cap and I expected to find it available, but also to have a wide choice of colored pigtails available to collect my hair, that made me It made you feel really pampered! The welcome of the receptionists, Olimpia and Katia, exceeded all expectations. The availability and preparation of Pasquale, Imma and Pasquale met during the journey makes you feel at the center of their attention. And last but not least, in fact he first of all given my gluttony, Antonio known for being the master of the lightest pizza I've ever eaten! (I'll start by saying that I'm allergic to nickel so I'm difficult to please) Antonio also knows how to read people's unexpressed needs and has managed to anticipate an end-of-meal desire that is realized with magical powers: hot-cold coffee. Thank you Antonio, with this cuddle you made this day even more magical. Congratulations to all the staff for their professionalism.
They gave me a day at the spa and I went with my husband. It is very large but it should be a little more cared for, top notch for cleanliness and kindness. We also had lunch and two daisies, beer and small water at an average price
Structure surrounded by greenery, fruit trees and plants of all kinds. The natural source of hot water is a jewel, small and welcoming; near the largest tank, you can use the mud. Inside you can access the massage area, saunas, whirlpools and relaxation area. Staff friendly and always attentive to enforcing the rules of the structure. There is a restaurant, a pizzeria and a bar where you can eat something as it is forbidden to bring food from home. The only flaw: the poorly maintained toilets
Positive experience, although the structure has its years, I must say that I was quite satisfied, I liked very nice quiet place for days of complete relaxation.
To be said that the structure for how it is large could offer much better .. but found it very but very dilapidated, where I start.🤔🤔 you forbade us to bring shower gel and shampoo,, but at least you make them available in the showers the bathroom and single-dose shampoo, x do the mud you put a bowl with which 3000 thousand people put their hands inside and if they rubbed everywhere in my opinion not very clean. The only positive note the 2 ladies at the reception very friendly and helpful .. and the thing that makes me more angry that you are in one of the most beautiful places in Naples and these facilities if they dream of elsewhere,, because nn you have attention to detail why?
