Booked through Viator and was very happy with Michele as our guide for our Princess cruise port day in Naples. From the large port, you can make it on foot to the meeting point at Molo Beverello across from the fortress in 20 minutes. Michele is very experienced and strategic and he was able to get us on an early ferry over to Capri and onwards to small buses to get us around to all the stops in a timely and back to ship (leaving us a bit of time to get last minute and best priced souvenirs inside the port on the way back). Glad we booked this particular excursion because it included the 50 minute fast ferry tickets (take anti nausea medicine if prone to motion sickness for this day!). ps the striped capri zippered 6 euro bag on board the ferry is an awesome /best priced buy! The monte solaro chair lift was worth the extra time and fee in Ana capri- it turned out not to be scary for me, saw someone’s proposal at the summit, and we made it back before it started raining. Michele recommended a great spot for lunch (le arcate). We got great photos and short stops for shopping. I don’t think we could have easily seen as much without this tour as you can’t find buses or taxis on your own easily. The best was the boat ride around the island (I was glad it was too wavy that day for the grotto as it seems cumbersome) prior to getting back on the ferry. It was a whirlwind day but if capri is on your list, then don’t hesitate to book.

Itinerary
Your magical journey begins at Molo Beverello, the bustling port in Naples. Here, you’ll meet your knowledgeable local guide who will assist with boarding a shared fast ferry to Capri. The ferry ride offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples, with the iconic silhouette of Mount Vesuvius as your backdrop. The trip to Capri takes about 50 minutes, giving you just enough time to soak in the excitement of the day ahead.
As the ferry docks at Marina Grande, Capri’s main port, you’ll be greeted by the island’s stunning cliffs and vibrant colors. From here, you'll hop onto a comfortable shuttle bus to begin your exploration of this enchanting island. The bus ride will take you along the famous "Mamma Mia Road," known for its dramatic curves and breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Your first stop is one of Capri's most famous attractions, the Blue Grotto. If the sea conditions are favorable, you’ll have the chance to enter this magical sea cave, where sunlight creates an ethereal blue glow on the water. Small rowing boats take you inside the grotto, where the experience is both surreal and unforgettable. If the sea is too rough for the grotto, don’t worry—you’ll instead enjoy a shared boat tour around the island, exploring other spectacular coastal landmarks.
Next, the tour heads to Anacapri, a quieter and more relaxed part of the island. After your exploration of the local shops and the area, it’s time to indulge in some local flavors. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of Anacapri’s charming eateries. Savor authentic Italian cuisine, with fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and other regional specialties on offer.
Soar above the island on a scenic chairlift ride to Mount Solaro, the highest point on Capri. The panoramic views from the top are simply breathtaking, offering a 360-degree vista of the island, the sea, and the distant mainland.
Post-lunch, the tour continues to the lively town of Capri. Here, you’ll visit La Piazzetta, the famous main square, often referred to as the "Living Room of the World." This bustling square is surrounded by chic cafes and boutique shops, making it the perfect spot for people-watching or enjoying a coffee.
A short walk from La Piazzetta leads you to the Augustus Gardens, a beautifully manicured park offering stunning views of the Faraglioni rock formations and the winding Via Krupp. The gardens are a serene escape where you can stroll among the vibrant flowers and enjoy the breathtaking vistas.
After exploring Capri Town and the Augustus Gardens, the tour heads back to Marina Grande. Here, you’ll have a bit of free time to wander the marina, perhaps pick up a souvenir, or simply relax by the water’s edge.
As the day draws to a close, you’ll board the fast ferry for a scenic return journey to Naples. Reflect on the day’s adventures as you sail back to the mainland, bringing with you unforgettable memories of the enchanting island of Capri. The tour concludes back at Molo Beverello in Naples, where you’ll bid farewell to your guide and fellow travelers, with the stunning sights of Capri fresh in your mind.

Our tour guide, Tiziana, made this tour memorable! She was full of high fun energy and made sure the group had some good laughs and a great time. Even though the Blue Grotto was closed, she ensured that we would love the boat ride around Capri, and she was 100% spot on! My husband and I really enjoyed this excursion and were happy to have Tiziana guide us through the history and culture of Capri.
Tiziana was an amazing guide trying to fit as much activity into the day as possible either her connections and knowing where the lines are shortest! The boat ride around the island was an awesome bonus I wasn’t expecting.
The guide, Vincenzo was fantastic. We had a great time. The only disappointment was the optional extra boat cruise around Capri. We could not understand the commentary even though it was in English and we would have liked to enter some of the caves along the way & even sailed through the hole in the rock.
Tour was fine, though I think the time is short due to the waitings lines on the blue grotto. With extra time we would have had time to see a little bit of Capri and Anacapri town (main streets or so) at the end a boat trip was offered for extra money . But they said there was not enough time to go up to Capri from Marina grande. The transportation and tour guide were very good. (Teresa) We enjoyed the day for what we managed to see. But again.. with extra time we would have seen more of the towns.
The tour guide Marcella was amazing! She knew the sites to take us to first to avoid big lines and make the most out of our day. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Five star treatment!
Good experience. Guide was knowledgeable and took us to the best spots.
Michele has to be the best tour guide. He knew the region literally like clock work. How to avoid the crowds, the order in which to see different sites and activities, and so forth. Simply the best.
My guide Tiziana, was absolutely the best. She got us to the front of the queue every time, so there was minimal waiting time and maximum enjoyment. It was a stunning day out, especially the Blue Grotto. There was time for shopping, for good food and fun as well. A wonderful day!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience exploring Capri, Anacapri, and the breathtaking Blue Grotto, made even more special by our exceptional guide, Giorgio. From seamlessly managing the day’s logistics to sharing fascinating insights about the island’s history, culture, and hidden gems, Giorgio ensured that every moment was enjoyable and stress-free. His professionalism, warmth, local knowledge, and attention to detail transformed a beautiful destination into an unforgettable experience. Navigating Capri during peak tourist season is no easy task, but Giorgio handled everything effortlessly, allowing us to focus on soaking in the stunning views, charming streets, and magical waters of the Blue Grotto. A big thank you, Giorgio, for your energy, patience, and passion for what you do. You truly made our visit to Capri a highlight of our Italy trip. Highly recommended for anyone planning to visit Capri and Anacapri!
Excellent tour of Capri. Giorgio was very knowledgeable so told many interesting details about the island. A very beautiful and historic place.
This small group tour of Capri was brilliantly organised so that we missed the crowds & had time to visit the grotto, ride the chairlift, visit Ana Capri & Capri towns as well as the boat ride around the island. Our guide Luigi was extremely well organised, enthusiastic & fun & made sure his 'family' got the most out of the day. Highly recommend this tour to get the most out of a Capri visit.
Our guide, Tiziana, was fantastic, and Capri is a must-see if you are visiting Naples! She was informative, well-organized, and shared all the important details while being extremely friendly. We highly recommend this tour to visit the island, as everything is very well planned and the logistics, which are not easy, are taken care of for you.
Our guide Marcella was fantastic, he made the day fun, well-organized, and flexible. The destinations were perfect, and I highly recommend taking the chairlift to the top for incredible views! Unfortunately, the Blue Grotto was closed due to weather, but the boat ride around the island more than made up for it and was a highlight of the day. Overall, it was a great experience and a truly memorable day!
What a wonderful day we had with our guide Tiziana in Capri! She was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and attentive throughout the entire tour. Tiziana shared fascinating stories about the island, guided us through the best viewpoints, and made everything feel easy and enjoyable. Her recommendations for food, shopping, and local experiences were spot on, and thanks to her we felt like we were exploring Capri with a true friend. The boat tour, Anacapri, Capri Town, every moment was memorable. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely day in Capri with our guide Giorgio. We visited in November, so it was off-season, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a perfectly warm day and to find the Blue Grotto open. As a local from the island, Giorgio was an amazing guide, funny, knowledgeable, and polite. He’s the best guide we’ve had so far on our Italian trip. Highly recommend this tour and Giorgio!
Everything was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this Capri day trip with Michele if you are in Naples. He is an incredible guide who knows every nook and cranny of Capri. I would gladly do any tour with this company again, the experience was seamless, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable.
Tiziana was a lovely guide, very knowledgeable about Capri, she shared lovely insights with some humor as well. She knew best how to navigate and get us to the chairlifts, ferries and boat tour first in line. It saved a lot of time. Unfortunaly we could not do the Grotto because of the rough high level water but the 1 hr boat Tour was a lovely way to end the day. She also took us to the gardens for the most amazing views of the faraglioni rocks. Despite the heat we really enjoyed seeing all of Capri. Definitely one of our highlights.
From the moment we met our guide TIZIANA we knew we were going to have a good day. She was so experienced and knowledgeable she got us to the right places in the right amount of time to beat the crowds. I felt like we maximized our time there. When something didn’t seem right or was going slow she was all over it. I am so impressed by her. We had a good amount of time at the islands - never enough with an 8 hour tour but for the time we had they made the most of it. We traveled on busses around the island. They were always available. We did the blue grotto & then paid the extra 25 euro to go on a boat ride for an hour to see more of the island and the other grottos.
Excellent day spent on Capri. It was well organized with a bit of time at each location. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is that I could have used another 1/2 hour at Anacapri. Also Down around the docks we really weren’t given any shopping time. A couple in the group had to break from the group for 5 minutes just to go into one shop. I would have like another 1/2 hour there as well. We kept moving and saw the main sites. The blue grotto was closed by the trip around the Island was cool…I just found myself wishing having some time to shop. When we got off the boat around the island we had to get to the ferry. Aside from wishing to have more time around the docks and at Anacapri, it was an awesome trip. The guide was very nice and personable. Decent value for price.
We had an amazing day in Capri with Alberto on a beautiful, sunny November day! His guidance and expertise made the experience unforgettable, and the perfect weather only added to the magic of the island. Highly recommend exploring Capri with Alberto—he’s also a fantastic lyric singer, as you’ll discover! :)
This was easily the best tour I had while in Italy. I visited for 2 weeks and during that time went on 8 different guided tours with various companies. My Capri tour was by far my favorite. My tour guide Giorgio was so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was native to Capri and his love for the island was so evident and made it impossible not to enjoy yourself. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking of going there.
We are a friends/family group of 10 and booked Michele for a tour from Naples to Capri, Blue Grotto & Anacapri. He was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable, friendly and made a priority of keeping us on track in order for us to be able to complete everything we wanted to accomplish. Highly recommend this tour.
The trip to Capri was a wonderful experience! Thanks to Tiziana , everything was organized quickly, so we had virtually no waiting times. Through her nice nature she had quickly created a great atmosphere in our group. She not only organized everything perfectly, but gave us the necessary information about everything in perfect English. No question remained unanswered. Everything was fine from start to finish. Fortunately, Capri wasn't so overflowing that day.
We were maximally lucky with this tour, much thanks to our guide, Michelle. The weather and the sea were perfect, and he got loosened us quickly off the boat to Capri, so we avoided the queue at the blue cave. Afterwards there was chair lift to the top and lunch at Anacapri. Then it drove down to Capri to check the atmosphere. We actually got time for an extra boat trip partly around Capri. Overall, an unforgettable day.
