We got the hydrofoil independently from Naples to Ischia - very smooth & easy. We didn’t book tickets for the castle, but we were there early so no queues - turned up & paid at the entrance. It was very hot so take a hat & water. Lady told us to walk up & not get the lift as they were busy (it wasn’t busy) - my advice - get the lift up & walk down!! Cafe at the top & a little gift shop. Very interesting place, similar to other castles. The nuns indoor cemetery part - bit disturbing, as was the ‘Art’ installation creepy music opposite the cafe. Well worth a visit & views from the top were incredible.
