Amalfi, once a powerful and rich "seafaring republic", controlled, in competition with the rival cities of genoa, Pisa and Venice, the profitable mediterranean trade routes. Amalfi left a glorious legacy that makes it the most important town on the coast and rightfully gives it its own name. A white washed town built right on the rocky slopes of the mountain side facing the sea, as if to challenge the wrath of the waves. The magnificent cathedral reveals its past whealth and the main square and the high street have a cheerful and typical mediterranean flavour. The drive to Positano snakes along the coast following the rocky contours of this magical shoreline and offering, at every turn, amazing views that leave the travelers in awe with their eyes stuck to the windows. Positano, just like a jewel, is collected in a lush valley amid mighty mountains. It is so picturesque as to seem a spontaneous stage setting.
Echo was a great tour guide for our trip to the Amalfi coast and downtown Naples. She was very informative and was able to provide exclusive wine tasting experiences and vineyard and Olive oil Tyson. My son and I had a wonderful time and learned a lot!
What made this tour perfect started with our booking of the tour with prompt and clear communication. Our driver/ tour guide per excellence, Echo being exactly on time at every point of our meeting from start to finish. Also her enthusiasm about her area and Italy in general, was awesome and the bonus was the fact that she was very informative, flavoring her information with stories and anecdotes, and of course, from her own personal experience from having lived in Italy for more than 20 years. Echo was very flexible in that part of the road to Amalfi was closed due to weather so she gave us options on our preferences on rerouting the tour. Her recommendations throughout the tour were spot-on also. And very comfortable ride and expert/safe driving. Perfect in that she was bilingual. It was a memorable experience and we would recommend it to everyone!!! Our friend is planning a return visit to research his ancestors in Napoli and he will be booking with this company again. Echo was a terrific guide! She is very welcoming and kind with a wonderful enthusiasm. From the start, she engaged our kids and tried to make the experience special for them as well. We tried some foods from local vendors, hit all the hotspots and finished our tour at a farm to table restaurant. We were very welcomed and took a tour of the farm. Thank you Echo for a magical day on Amalfi. We also loved the stories!!

We are three couples on an Azamara Journey cruise that stopped in Amalfi yesterday. Our amazing guide - Echo - did a fantastic job taking us on a comprehensive 8-hour of Ravello, Positano and Amalfi, as she expertly drove the switchbacks of the Amalfi coast while providing interesting background and history on each of the towns we visited. There were constant photo opportunities as the water and natural rock formations were breathtaking. We were even joined by Carmine to add to the experience. We stopped at a remarkable restaurant that Echo recommended based upon our interests, and it did not disappoint - located overlooking the cliffs in Positano with lemon trees overhead, and wonderful food. All in all, it was a tour not to be missed! 👍
The driver was lovely and extremely accommodating. However we were under the impression that we would be able to go where we wanted to go. That was not the case. The day is preplanned and so are the stops. I feel that is too much money not to have a choice.
We had Manuel as a tour guide and he delivered far beyond expectations. The pickup and drop off were effortless, he spoke excellent English, and took us to some amazing spots. We travelled up the Amalfi Coast, took some scenic pictures, ate the most delicious food, and were entertained by his amazing vocals. It was such a treat to spend the day with Manuel, highly recommend this tour you will not be disappointed. 10/10

The entire experience is memorable. I will never forget our tour guide Manuel. He made sure we felt special and cared for. I can’t say enough great things about him. He took us to Ristorante Zio Sam. This was definitely tops in food and service. The wine was absolutely delicious the food amazing. We enjoyed meeting Sam. We even experienced a wedding seranade by Manuel . Lol just delightful. We enjoyed it so much we booked a second tour. Had breakfast at Sal de Riso the lemone delight was incredible. Dinner at Alexandra De Riso the carbonara was my favorite. Wonderful food. Staff was very attentive. Even made sure we were safe crossing the busy street on leaving. Our entire trip was successful because of Manuel and his concern that we had a pleasant time. Thank you again so so much. You and your personality are unforgettable.
We had a great time on our drive of the Amalfi Coast! Our driver was excellent and took us the long way up so we could see the more scenic route through the mountains. He even took us to a great local restaurant with an excellent view for the best Italian lunch! Highly recommend if you have a day to spend driving the Amalfi coast.

The secret tour of the amalfi coast was truly incredible. Manuel was a fantastic tour guide who brought the amalfi coast to life for us. From positano to amalfi to ravello and everything in-between. Not only was he transparent in his passion for southern Italy, but it was contagious. This was truly a highlight of our two week honeymoon all throughout Italy. We couldn't recommend it enough! Carmines team is a MUST for southern Italy!
We used Carmine's service, our driver was Manuel and as others have stated he was fantastic. Manuel knew the best times to hit certain spots in order to avoid traffic (which is nearly impossible), and he was a joy to get to know. Carmine helped me and my family book three excursions. One day in Pisa/Lucca (with lunch at a wine tasting), then the next day we visited Rome and on the third day was the Amalfi Coast/Sorrento tour (my favorite...so beautiful). All of our guides were professional and knowledgeable. Pisa/Lucca (Miguel and Simona) Rome (Marco and "Big" Marco) and our Vatican guide Maria was excellent! Just sailed on Celebrity Beyond newest ship and arrived in Naples,Italy Manuel was at the gate holding our sign up with our name to connect with us. My clients were very impress not only me as a travel Advisor for picking this company through facebook and it's reviews but my clients were very very happy. A-First class is what they kept telling me. I have to agree with my clients as i sat up front and Manuel sing many songs to us on our journey to Ravello, Italy a must do! Manuel has a gift of gab and friendly and always making sure we are enjoying out time. Manuel planned farm-2-tables lunch but we skipped for a spot on the cliff with famous pizza and a beer with AhhhMazing views. Our small group trip tour took us around the mountains over the Amalfi Coast through Positano and we even had time to go to the Limoncello Factory with a quick tour before heading back to our ship by 4:30pm. I will be using this Carmine again and will even ask for Manuel again. We will do Sorrento & Capri for our next trip and the grotto blue caves. This is a must do! Carmine is very knowledgeable about the Amalfi coast, and surrounding areas. Carmine went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience. He went above and beyond! He is so friendly, funny knowledgeable, and a great driver. The views were breathtaking... Pictures do not do justice. He will take you to the best restaurants, non-touristy areas and share with you the most delicious desserts ...The tour is full of surprises...... Several years ago our group was very lucky to find Carmine Foggia, and book a tour with him for Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano. We were fortunate to visit Italy again this fall and there is no way we would come to the Amalfi coast without Carmine as our guide.
