We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and located in a great and safe neighbourhood, close to everything we needed. The host was very kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended! ❤️
Our guide / host, Maurizio Stella, was a fountain of knowledge and very helpful. The project is an excellent initiative giving visitors the opportunity to explore Naples and its culture
We had a splendid stay in Napoli for 4 days. Maurizio is a knowledgeable man who can offer great insight into the Napolitan culture and gives great recommendations. Will come back to visit because there's much more to discover. Napoli is a big city with a long history. Located in the centre, it has beautiful decorated rooms.
Absolutely amazing experience I was planning on staying at a local hostel, during my stay in Napoli, but accidentally booked the wrong date, and was left in Napoli, with no where to stay. I needed to quickly find a place to stay, and booked the only place available for the duration of my stay, without giving it much thought. I made my way to the hotel, and was met by the most amazing gentleman, Maurizio. Maurizio showed me around the antique decorated lobby, telling me about how this was not a hotel, nor a BnB, but an experience, which was in no way a lie, as Maurizio, who was also a professor, would be my guide for the stay offering, guided private tours of the city for free. Maurizio would show me around the lobby showing me all these different items he had collected in the lobby, and you could clearly see his passion. He offered me a better room for an extra 10 euro a night, which included free breakfast, and a free minibar, but as I was traveling on a budget declined his offer. He of course understood, and told me my room was an amazing room anyway, and gave me the free breakfast and minibar anyway, no extra cost. The room was beautifully decorated, and included a small tea kitchen with a bunch of fresh herbs in the window. Maurizio offered to take me out for drinks, with some of the other guest, which was so much fun, as he took us to tango lessons, where he paid for wine and food for us. Which was super fun, and I made friends with my neighbors, which was really nice, as I am a solo traveler. I unfortunately did not take advantage more of his services, as he offered both guided tours of the city at night, and offered to take me to and ball to see neopolitan tango. But as I am a stupid kid, who really wanted to see the nightlife more, which I really think was a mistake on my part, I did not go to either of the things. I had breakfast every morning, with my neighbors, which I had become friends with, the night Maurizio took us out for drinks, and Maurizio joined us, some of the days, and showed us how to enjoy a Neopolitan breakfast. The whole stay was an amazing experience, and I am definitely coming back some day, and would recommend this place, in a heartbeat, to anybody who is looking for something a lot more special, then your average hotel vacation. 10/10
we have just come home from a trip to napoli and almalfi. i have never written a review ever before even tho` we are wide travellers, all over the world. The experience we had with this programme ,which we really had no idea of what we were getting at all, was one of the best services we have ever had. We cannot praise our three hosts enough. They were genuinely so eager to please , nothing was too much trouble. The nicest kindest people who made Napoli come alive and welcoming . We strongly recommend this new programme ,run by the university i believe. Thank you mauritzo, gala, and cluadio ,we will be back hopefully xxx
