We loved our short stay at the hotel. It is in the heart of old Naples which was perfect for our explorations. The hotel was a very old villa turned school, turned hotel. The restoration is spectacular and clearly done with love. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is amazing and willing to help with anything. Since the hotel is on a pedestrian only street you need to be dropped off in a plaza a few blocks away. They will meet you and help you with your luggage. This should not dissuade you from staying here.

Cute boutique hotel right in historical center- Location is fantastic. Breakfast was superb- chocolate cake for breakfast is decadent but highly recommend; Stephano makes it in house and the bread is super tasty too. Service was warm and had great food recs. Room was a loft setup with small flight of stairs to a spacious bedroom 2 notes: 1) due to location, taxis may or may not be able to drop off/pick up in front of the hotel. Depends on time of day; if not then you will need to walk about 150m. 2) like the other review states, main gates are open between 9-6, so if you're arriving before or after make sure you ask for the gate code
We stayed for 5 nights and unfortunately this hotel is not 4 stars. The pros - When we arrived at the hotel the staff was very nice and helpful, even helping us get some food (there is no room service or restaurant in the hotel). The room looked nice. The cons - It is definitely on a pedestrian only street, luckily we checked out early in the day and a taxi was able to drive up to the courtyard. At check-in we were told that they provide a light dinner/aperitivo with sandwiches and salads, this never happened, all they had were leftover baked goods from breakfast. There were fruit flies all over the breakfast items, nothing looked very fresh. There were also fruit flies in our room. There were also ants in our room, near the stairs and bed, at one point a couple were found in the bed. The bedding, mattresses, and pillows are terrible. For the cost of the room and being 4 star I would expect better quality. It also took hours and asking staff twice to get an extra pillow. After our first night, whenever we asked staff for anything (nothing major, a pillow, a fork, and once for a taxi) we always felt we were inconveniencing them and interrupting something. I wouldn't go back to this hotel, I feel there has to be somewhere better in Naples.
What a lovely little hotel! We had such such a great experience here with my parents. The room was felt very spacious due to the high ceiling and the loft, where the single bed was located. The breakfast had everything you could wish for, the bread was particularly delicious. We visited in March so there rarely were other guests present at breakfast. The location is excellent — within walking distance from all major sights. We never used the metro or took a taxi. Even many locals, like our Pompeii tour guide and the driver from the airport, complimented us on the great pick. The hotel also has a rooftop with amazing views of the city. Each staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and spoke good English. There are fewer than 20 rooms so the service always felt personal. Definitely ask the front desk for recommendations on food and things to do, and to book a ride to the airport if you need it. The only trouble we had was finding the hotel when we first arrived. The entrance is located on a busy street and since we arrived late, the gate was closed and we missed it walking by multiple times. Apparently a front desk employee had attempted reaching us via whatsapp, which we had missed. It’s good that there are the gates, though. We never felt unsafe but it gave the hotel another layer of privacy in the heart of the city.
On a busy street in Napoli, the Santa Chiara Boutique lies behind great doors. The hotel rooms rise up on all sides surrounding a central courtyard. It has a really cute and small elevator in the middle. The staff were very welcoming and nice. I was traveling in a party of 6 with 5 suitcases and the staff were really helpful with getting them up. The rooms themselves were big and pretty. One room had 1 queen sized bed with 2 other twin sized beds which were on the loft. It also had 2 bathrooms and a decent sized closet. The other room had 2 queen sized beds, one on the first floor and one on the loft. It also had a small balcony that opened up to the street where you could see the tops of passing peoples heads. It was beautiful. Overall, spacious and clean. Since the hotel is a relatively small one, it’s best if you reserve breakfast. They need to know how much to make. The breakfast was pretty good with the regular spread of coffee, yogurts, pastries and the like.
