Perfect stay in Naples. We stayed for three nights, room was very nice and clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. I saw the reviews about the bathroom, but there blinds if privacy was needed. Lucia was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed, restaurant reservation, booked a taxi.. I’d definitely get back if I’m in Naples again.

Mamalu is set inside an old Italian block and serviced by a lift that's probably hundreds of years old given how finnicky it was. There were weird rules in terms of when it operated, which was really inconvenient if you're the type of person who values flexibility like me. The lobby and rooms were refurbished. Given it was set inside what felt like an incredibly old building, the layout was very awkward with steps in unexpected places. If you have mobility issues, I would give this place a hard pass. The low rating is due to the fact that I was assaulted outside the building and asked to leave, but the owner wouldn't refund me for the days I haven't stayed. I'd return to Naples as there's more to explore, but next time would make sure I travel with a male companion. However I wouldn't stay in Mamalu again.

We stayed at Mamalu Studios and Suites in February and can’t wait to return! What a fantastic experience we had! Lucia greeted us with a hot cup of delicious Neapolitan espresso, much needed after a long travel day. She then sat with us in the cozy, well appointed lobby and gave us recommendations for restaurants, museums, pastries, etc. Her friendliness and hospitality made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious with vaulted ceilings and large windows, modern, and impeccably clean. The hotel is located within walking distance of great shopping and restaurants. The metro station is conveniently located on the corner. Can’t say enough about this wonderful property! Thank you, Lucia for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay here, and it exceeded all our expectations. This is not a traditional hotel, but rather a small suite of about 8 rooms nestled within a building. Initially, it felt like we were entering a residential area, but once we reached the suites, we were blown away. The rooms are gorgeously designed—modern, spacious, and impeccably clean. I've never experienced anything quite like it before. Our host, Carla, was exceptional throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She attended to our every need, from helping us arrange boats to the nearby islands to leaving a lovely bottle of wine in the room for my birthday. We truly felt like we were the most important guests there. The room was well air-conditioned and cleaned daily, and the lounge area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. If you're planning a trip to Naples, do yourself a favour and stay here. We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you for an amazing stay!
