About Activity
Spend a heartwarming morning at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, located on the edge of Nairobi National Park (driving time varies depending on your hotel's location). Founded in memory of conservationist David Sheldrick and run today by his daughter Angela, the orphanage is set in the grounds of the former home of her late mother, Dame Daphne Sheldrick. During the daily visiting hour, from 11:00 to 12:00, watch baby elephants and other orphaned wildlife enjoy their mud baths and bottle feeds, and meet the keepers who care for them around the clock. The team is always happy to answer questions about their rescue and rehabilitation work. Afterwards, return to your hotel or the city centre by around 12:45 (lunch not included).
