After pick-up from your hotel, visit the Giraffe Centre, a sanctuary dedicated to the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. From the elevated feeding platform, come face to face with these gentle giants as they stoop to take pellets from your hand, while rangers share insights into their behaviour. At 10:15, continue to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust on the edge of Nairobi National Park. Run by Angela Sheldrick in the grounds of her late mother Dame Daphne Sheldrick's home, the orphanage cares for orphaned elephants and other wildlife. During the daily visiting hour, from 11:00 to 12:00, watch the orphans' mud baths and bottle feeds, and meet their keepers. Return to your hotel or the city centre by around 12:45 (lunch not included).
