About Activity
Spend a full day exploring Nairobi's best-loved wildlife and heritage sites. Begin at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust during its daily visiting hour, from 11:00 to 12:00, watching orphaned elephants enjoy their mud baths and bottle feeds and meeting the keepers who care for them. At 12:15, enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden (drinks excluded), then at 13:45 visit the Giraffe Centre to feed endangered Rothschild's giraffes from an elevated platform. At 15:00, continue to the Karen Blixen Museum, the 1912 farmhouse where the Danish author of Out of Africa lived from 1914 to 1931, its rooms filled with her furniture, photographs and belongings. Depart at 16:00, returning to your hotel or city centre in the late afternoon.
