Overnight Safari To Amboseli National Park

Absolutely incredible. Amboselli was on my bucket list of places to visit given my love of elephants. And the trip did not dissappoint. Not only did I see plenty of them (herds of up to 30 strong and super tuskers) but also an array of other spectacular wildlife such as lions, hippos and giraffe just to name a few. My guide, Tony, was absolutely fantastic. He was exceptionally friendly and made an extra effort to ensure I was comfortable and that I saw as many things as I could. Knowing my interest in birding, he would even make sure to point out all the unique birds I otherwise would have missed such as spoonbills, ground hornbills and goliath herons. Overall I had an amazing time and Perfect Safaris as a whole were very accommodating - they even organised my trip despite me giving them very short notice. I could not recommend the trip and Perfect Safaris more highly!

We had an excellent experience on this safari. Our guide Tony was great: very knowledgeable and accommodating to our preferences. We highly recommend amboseli for anybody who likes elefants. There is also a vibrant population of bird life including secretary birds and kori bustards which are fascinating to see in real life. On our trip we also saw lions and a very clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro, but I understand that both require some luck. There was an issue with our initial lodge (AA Amboseli) but the operator provided us with good alternatives and we ended up staying at a new lodge called Hunter’s Manor which turned out to be great.

Our guide, Samuel, was really helpful and kind. We got really lucky that Mt Kilimanjaro graced us with its presence during the sunset safari. We also paid to upgrade to Sentrim lodge which was really lovely. I also appreciated the guides flexibility for working with my family and teens. It’s a long drive to Amboseli but the family says it was well worth it!

We choosed this short safari because we were on a business trip in Nairobi and it was an excellent choice! It is very well organized, Edwin is the most kind driver I could imagine! He was always in time, took extra time to make sure we could see more animals (the park is beautiful but not very populated) , stopped under our request to visit a masai village on the way back which was a beautiful experience and last but not least managed to bring us in time at the airport for our flight despite the incredible traffic and long journey! Thank you so much Edwin! We highly reccomend this safari, the lodge is simple but functional and surrounded by green! The lunch at the lodge in the park was fantastic! And the time around looking for animals with the view of the Kilimangiaro is a unique experience!

It was absolutely amazing. Mostly thanks to our guide (Ramma), he knew excatly where to go to put us in the best possible position to watch and take pictures. He was also always on time, never too late. It was very obvious he knows his way around the animals and around the resort. Rama really made this adventure great! We saw all the great animals: hippos, elephants, giraffe, lions, cheetah, …. And so many more. Countless really. Thanks Ramma! We would absolutely recommend the same trip to others. Of course, under the guidance of our awesome Ramma. BR

This trip exceeded my expectations. The photo ops, lodging, food, and conversations were great. I’m definitely coming back and highly recommend Amboseli and this tour to anyone looking for an adventure!!

This safari tour was dope. My guide, Albert, was the best in the biz. Definitely recommend staying over night for the best chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro. If it is not visible the day you arrive, it will likely be early in the morning. You will want to maximize your chances. The food at the lodge was great. Saw elephants, zebras, lions, and giraffes. Enjoy!

The overnight safari to Amboseli National Park was a great experience! We got to see incredible sights, get close to wildlife and enjoy Mt Kilimanjaro. Our guide, Martin, was very experienced and took us to great spots all across the park. Would recommend the trip!

We had such an awesome trip. We were greeted by our lovely tour guides (Albert and his trainee Issac) at our hotel very promptly. Quick heads up, the drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National park was around 5 hours so be prepared for that. We checked into the AA Lodge a short drive outside the park and it was excellent, it’s beautiful and the staff were lovely. Before heading to the park for the first game drive, we chose to do the extra experience of meeting a Maasai tribe which was so much fun and very enlightening. Again, another heads up, this requires physical cash for both entry and any souvenirs you may want to buy. Both game drives (evening 4-6pm and morning 6:30ish-midday) gave us some amazing photos of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos and hippos (to name a few) through the open top of the minivan. Albert and Issac were very helpful with lots of knowledge and good at spotting where to head in the park to find each animal. Overall it was such an awesome experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Great experience and value, especially for the price. The experience was made really great with a big thanks to our driver and guide, Albert!! I think we surprised him by being ready to leave for our morning game drive earlier than the written time and it was well worth it. Saw 11 lions in the same field as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests! Definitely would not have without Albert’s knowledge and willingness to take us earlier than planned, plus seeing the sunrise colors over Kilimanjaro was extra special. The lodging and food at AA lodge was good and the staff were very nice, but the star of the experience is definitely the driver/guide and game drives.

We got to see soooo many animals in the park! It did not disappoint. The AA Lodge was inviting, clean and tranquil and all the staff were very friendly. Our tour guide, Albert, was very friendly, knowledgeable about the park and all the wildlife and always willing to help. If you are looking for an authentic experience full of wildlife- highly recommend!

Albert was a great guide! We saw hundreds of incredible animals. The lodge we stayed at was beautiful. Would highly recommend Perfect Safaris and Albert as a guide. We really enjoyed our trip!!

This safari has exceeded all our expectations! The whole trip was remarkable and outstanding. Albert provided great expertise of the local environment and provided facts about every animal we spotted. Animals can't be forced to show up, but we where very lucky. Albert knows the best spots and we even managed to see lions, elephants and tons of giraffes. He is a very experienced and reliable guide with remarkable driving skills. The road is naturally very bumpy, but trust him - you will be save and sound. When the sky is clear, you truly see the Kilimandscharo from the park. The included stay in the African style lodge was comfortable and is located in a very well preserved area (food as well as monkeys included). Lunch with a view in the middle of Amboseli National Park (on the second day) was delicious and just another highlight on this tour. *German note: this is the best „Preis- Leistungsverhältnis" you may find when it comes to safari tours in Amboseli ;) so no hesitation from our side to recommend booking this tour as the highlight of your Kenya trip.

Our guide Albert made this trip exceptionally good! From the pick up at the hotel, the drive, the detailed information about all animals in the Amboseli national park and his outstanding kindness. I cannot recommend this trip enough :) The overnight stay and the two safari drives made us see basically all animals living in the Amboseli national park and even the lions due to Albert's insight knowledge. Also the Masai traditional village is worth a visit.

We had an amazing time, our tour guide (George) was very proactive, accommodating and knowledgeable. Seeing the "laid back" attitude of other tour operators, we were very happy to have gone with this company. We saw all of the animals this park had to offer. I will be recommending this company to my friends. My only wish is that I would have had time to do a longer tour with them. Asante Sana 🙏

I was fortunate to have Tony as my guide and driver, all to myself lol, and he was excellent. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Once arrived at AA Amboseli lodge, lunch was given, then a rest or time out and onto the afternoon/sunset safari. Got to see giraffes, zebra, gazelles and lots and lots of elephants! And very close to the elephants too. Accommodation at the lodge was comfortable and all that was needed, but don't expect luxury. The food was apt although the meat dishes overcooked and I ended up sticking to the vegetarian meals which were really nice. After dinner the Masaii men perform their dances, which was excellent. Yes they bring their 'crafts' to sell, but they barter well. The morning drive was more than I hoped for, over 5 hrs long and we saw as many animals and birds as we could including I was lucky to see hippos out of the water. Tony did well and was very patient driving me everywhere he could, so I saw as much as possible. Lunch was at one of the most beautiful lodges inside the park. The value of this trip is so worth it, I highly recommend.

First time to Kenia and traveling alone, I went to Amboseli park and was the best experience I ever had! Africa and its landscape it’s just amazing, people are friendly and genuinely nice. To the park you get to see the animals on their natural habitat and sleep to the lodge, in middle of the nature is priceless. Jimmy was my tour guide and friend during the 2 days and he made the most of it! The best tour experience!

We did the Amboseli safari and it did not disappoint us, we had a guide in SPANISH Bernardo who knew a lot about the fauna and explained to us with very good Spanish, very attentive and willing to please us with what we asked of him, it is a 5 hour drive from Nairobi and A day in botheli might have been better than 2 days there but we chose that tour, lots of elephants, hippos and giraffes, we went in a private 4x4 jeep, very comfortable, you pay a little more but it's worth it, going a lot in a car has If it is uncomfortable apart from the heat and dust, I highly recommend the company Perfect Safaris. I bought this tour directly with them, paying them cash upon arrival and they were very punctual in everything at a cheaper price than with intermediaries. Thanks for everything Perfect safaris
