It was wonderful seeing the animals. I don’t usually think of being on the equator as cold but in November, I wished I had dressed more warmly. I loved the elephants and the giraffes. It was confusing that I had to visit different websites to pay the entrance fees. I would have much preferred if Viator offered an inclusive price they included all the park fees. We we furiously trying to pay one of the park fees because I paid one beforehand and thought I was done. - but I wasn’t 😅😅

We had an amazing experience visiting Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage, and the Giraffe Centre! Seeing wildlife in its natural habitat was truly breathtaking. Visiting the baby elephants was such a heartwarming experience, and getting up close to the beautiful giraffes was absolutely unforgettable. The entire tour was a wonderful combination of adventure, nature, and incredible memories. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Kenya! Highly recommended! A must-do experience when visiting Nairobi! 🇰🇪🐘🦒❤️
Very good experience, our guide Jonathan was very knowledgable, and dedicated to help us see as many animals as possible.
A very smooth tour. Value for money. Exceeded expectations.
The day was great, all sights visited and great tour guide. The negatives were the van was not comfortable at all and the restaurant we were forced to have lunch in was dreadful and expensive.
Franc did a fantastic job taking us on safari and being knowledgeable about Narobi. Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was my main motivation to come to Kenya. I enjoyed seeing the orphaned/injured animals be cared for and finding out the history of the site. I also had fun feeding the giraffes at The Giraffe Centre. :)
Had a great time at the national park with Frank, our guide. We managed to see rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hippos (just), and a lot of antelope. Oh, and a pair of lions stalking ostriches 🤩 That was wild. Literally 🤪
A definite must on a free day in Nairobi. So easy and enjoyable. Includes favorites… Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe center.
Great place. The jungle in town
This was an absolutely amazing experience. Frank was our driver and he handled that road like a beast. He ensured we were safe and by the end he felt like family. Very informative and gave us history of the park. Didn't rush our experience at all. It was ice seeing all the animals in close and personal and learning of their history as well.
We had a great time on this tour. Jonathan was so knowledgeable, always available to answer questions and gave us enough time for pictures. We had the opportunity to see and learn about so many animals. Amazing experience.
We enjoyed this tour very much! The driver would do anything to make our trip unforgettable and the guide was very knowledgeable. Both Harrison and Denis were great!
Jonathan was our guide a driver. He was so personable, entertaining and helpful. We had a very full day but it was worth it. We saw Lions, Giraffes, Buffalos, Antelopes, Hippos, Rhinos, Crocs, Hyenas and more. The giraffe center was fun and the elephant orphanage was very educational. A great experience!
Great experience, saw a number of animals from lions , water buffalo, rhinos and giraffes , visited the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary and the giraffe sanctuary, both excellent value and informative. Our guide was very helpful in finding and describing what we saw. Would recommend this trip to everyone interested in wildlife, and wildlife conservation.
This store was well organized. The communication was amazing from the beginning to the end. We really enjoyed our drivers in this experience 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing time with Jonathan as he took us across the national park, elephant orphanage and giraffe centre. He was very friendly and gave us plenty of time to soak in the experience.
It was really fun and very informative. The guide was kind and nice.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Nairobi National Park, and a huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful guide, Jonathan. Jonathan picked us up from our hotel right on time early in the morning and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire tour. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and considerate, always listening to what we wanted and taking care of every little detail along the way. The game drive itself was beyond our expectations. Thanks to Jonathan’s effort and knowledge of the park, we were able to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, gazelles, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, elands, and baboons. We even got to watch zebras moving together and drinking at the water, which was beautiful to see. The absolute highlight was witnessing a lion actually hunting a gazelle right in front of us — an incredible moment we never expected to experience. Jonathan worked hard to take us to great spots throughout the game drive, and because of him, we were able to experience so many memorable wildlife moments in just one day. He was also an excellent and safe driver and guided us smoothly from one destination to the next. What impressed us most was how genuinely kind and thoughtful he was. We never felt rushed, and he always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the experience. It is honestly hard to believe how much we were able to see and experience in a single day. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Kenya and a memory we will never forget. Thank you so much, Jonathan, for making our day so special and for giving us such an unforgettable experience in Kenya. We highly recommend him! 🇰🇪🦁🦏🦒
We had the absolute pleasure of being hosted by Jonathan today! From pick up to drop off the day was incredible and ran so smoothly while being hosted by possibly one of the best guides we’ve ever had! Our expectations were exceeded when it came to just how many animals we would encounter, how close in proximity we would get to be from them, and how much we would learn. Along with the safari we also got to visit orphaned baby elephants and hand feed giraffes at various sanctuaries on the tour. And in addition the trip finished with some traditional kenyan food and a tour of some local crafts. Could not recommend this trip enough to those travelling with limited time in Kenya, the efficiency and abundance of experiences we had in just this one excursions were completely unforgettable. Jonathan was a fantastic guide, with so much knowledge, experience and charisma. Would definitely recommend booking with him specifically if you can!
The trip was amazing! Our tour guide Kelvin was very knowledgeable and friendly. Dennis the driver also made sure our day went smoothly. I would highly recommend them. Thanks for helping make our memories great!
Very nice, it’s beautiful place you must visit
This experience starts with a game drive through the Nairobi National Park, then visits the Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre where you have the opportunity to feed the giraffes. Don't be put off by the idea that the National Park is akin to a zoo - it is not. Our guide was knowledgeable and was able to get us into great position to see and photograph animals going about their normal daily business without disturbing them. Not just the Big 5 (we saw all of these except the elusive leopard), but also a genuine zebra crossing, less common animals including a black backed jackal and a serval trotting along the road with her kittens behind. The elephant orphanage is apt to be crowded so grab a vantage point as soon as you arrive - there is no opportunity for interaction with these babies as the ultimate aim is to re-wild them so random human contact is not appropriate. The giraffe centre however is designed for interaction - it's unstructured though and your time with the animals is subject to their whims, so if they all decide to walk away you're left hoping they'll come back! It's very popular and busy. The warthog clean-up team on the ground happily accept any dropped giraffe food.
Wonderful experience our guide Simon was awesome.
Harrison and Dennis were an amazing driver/guide duo. Harrison was very knowledgeable about all he animals we saw and where we can go to get the best experiences. At the giraffe center, he made sure we all got the quality pictures and videos we wanted and was able to identify all the animals by name/ tell us about them from his time working there. Dennis was an excellent driver and positioned us to get great views the whole day. Tips: Get your national park ticket online ahead of time (main gate), bring exact change in cash for the elephant and giraffe experience, make sure to tip your amazing driver and guide with KSH or Mpesa
Very good package. Timely pickup. Professional guide. Value for money. Overall a fantastic experience
Cultiva Farm Kenya is not a part of this. Totally false advertising. Plus remember this is a group activity so when it finishes you will be stuck in traffic for 2 hours because they have to drop everyone off at the hotels.
Very responsive to all my questions! The guide made our day very smooth and rememberable!
This tour was wonderful and full of close encounters thanks to our guide Jonathan. Rhino, Ostrich, Water buffalo, Giraffe, Elephant, Hippo, Croc, Zebra, and all kinds of antelope and birds. We enjoyed time at all three sites. The time at Sheldrick was short but you do get to see the babies come in for a feed. At the Giraffe sanctuary, you get to feed them and see some cute warthogs. It makes for a great day!
Our guide Frank was very knowledgeable and very attentive to our family! We weren't rushed with any of our activities.
We booked a tour with this company for a group of 6 people to visit Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre. Their website advertised the package at $45 per person, without making any clear distinction between East African residents, other African nationals and foreign tourists. We chose the package specifically for the convenience of having everything arranged together. We expected that the advertised price would cover the attractions included in the package, or at the very least that the company would clearly disclose any additional entrance fees before taking our money. Instead, when the tour vehicle arrived, we were hit with a rather unpleasant surprise: we were suddenly expected to pay the entrance fees separately. We were told to pay approximately: • $80 for Nairobi National Park • $15 for the Giraffe Centre • $20 for the Elephant Orphanage And when we asked the obvious question — “So what exactly did the $45 per person we already paid cover?” — the answer was essentially pickup, water and the vehicle's park entrance fee. Seriously? So the company advertises a $45 “tour package”, but the actual attraction fees are presented to customers only when the tour is about to begin? What makes this even more frustrating is that the official attraction websites have different and, in some cases, significantly lower rates depending on nationality. Had we known that the advertised $45 did NOT include the attraction entrance fees, we could simply have booked the attractions ourselves and arranged transportation separately — potentially saving money and, more importantly, avoiding this unpleasant surprise. This is not about refusing to pay legitimate entrance fees. The problem is TRANSPARENCY. If your package price does not include the actual attractions that you advertise as part of the tour, SAY SO CLEARLY before customers book and pay. Don't advertise a package in a way that gives customers the reasonable impression that they are paying for a complete tour, only to reveal substantial additional charges at the last minute. For tourists, especially foreigners visiting Kenya for the first time, please ask for a complete written breakdown of EVERYTHING included in the advertised price before paying anything. Do not assume that “tour package” means entrance fees are included. Our experience left us feeling that the company was relying on convenience and tourists' lack of knowledge of local pricing to extract additional money from them. Kenya has incredible attractions and wonderful people. Experiences like this are exactly what responsible tourism operators should be working to eliminate. I would strongly recommend doing your homework, checking the official attraction websites yourself, comparing the prices and getting the complete cost breakdown in writing before booking with any tour company. Very disappointing. Very poor transparency. Not the experience we expected.
Great day overall. The safari was great. The elephant orphanage was great. The giraffe sanctuary, while very crowded was great. The food "options" are non existant. Too many tours dropped at the same place, at the same time. The staff refused to tell us the price ahead of eating. The beads factory is an upsale scam. Our whole group asked to skip it, but we were forced to exit the vehicle and tour the shop.
This was a fantastic day trip with a great group of people. Jonathan was a superb guide and host who helped make the day special. He was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. The overall trip provided excellent value for money and the opportunity to see some of the highlights offered in Nairobi. I would definitely recommend using a fantastic and local company in Niroskos Tours and Safaris. You will not be disappointed.
My pick up was supposed to be at 5:45 am but the driver arrived at 5:15 am, which was way too early. However, he was very kind and patient and waited for a good 10-15 minutes. The remaining pick ups took unjustifiably too much time. There was at least wrong “stop” but I couldn’t tell whose fault it was (i.e. if the driver got lost or if the participants provided inaccurate locations). We were only six people on the tour and two participants were picked up from the same location and yet we ended up spending two hours on the road and only reached the park at around 7:30 am. The game drive was amazing even though we didn’t get to see any lions, but our driver / guide was knowledgeable and competent. He was, however, not audible because of the noise of the car. We then headed to the elephant orphanage, which was packed. There are limited seating “spots” and you cannot move around the sanctuary so be prepared to stand for a good hour. After lunch, we headed to the Kobe Tough workshop to learn about the art of handcrafting ceramic beads and leather products. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating but this stop was a bit out of place and it felt forced given how packed the itinerary was. The final stop was the giraffe center which was a bit of a disappointment. You will walk down a raised wooden viewing platform where you can hand-feed them food pellets. It felt like a zoo - no wildlife sanctuary feel to the experience because of how the space is structured. We spent a good 90 minutes on the road for the drop offs. I was the first one to be picked up and the last one to be dropped off so I was at a clear disadvantage but in my view, a better system for panning the pick ups / drop offs could have saved us all time. In short, I would only recommend this tour if you are pressed in time and want to see as much as possible in one day and/or would like to outsource the entire planning to a tour operator and don’t mind spending at least 3 hours on the bus for pick ups / drops offs.
I had an amazing experience on safari! Seeing the wildlife up close was truly unforgettable, and the whole experience was even better thanks to Simon, our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate, and did a fantastic job spotting animals and sharing interesting facts along the way. Highly recommended!
The pricing exclusions was not disclosed before purchasing the tour which can become a financial disaster for people with large family having to pay $115 per person extra for entrance fees to theses places.
It was a great experience and I really enjoyed our tour guides. They were very helpful with explaining the experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding family experience We had an unforgettable day exploring Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage, and the Giraffe Centre with our family (2 adults and 3 children). From the very beginning, our experience with **Niroskos Tours and Safaris** was exceptional. The communication and organization before the tour were beyond our expectations. Niroskos Tours and Safaris provided a dedicated booking page with all details clearly explained, regular payment updates, and excellent follow-up communication throughout the process. As a frequent Platinum traveler, I can honestly say this level of personal attention, transparency, and customer care is something I have rarely experienced. The professionalism and attention to detail gave us complete confidence and made the entire experience stress-free. The true highlight of the tour was our guide **Ernest**. He was absolutely fantastic and made the day unforgettable for our whole family. His patience, passion, and knowledge of wildlife were outstanding. He took his time to spot animals with us, carefully searching and explaining what we were seeing instead of rushing through the safari. What impressed us most was how patient Ernest was with our children. He gave them time to ask questions, observe the animals, and fully enjoy the experience. He understood that a family tour is about creating memories, not just following a schedule. There was never any feeling of being rushed — Ernest allowed us to enjoy every moment at our own pace. Thanks to Ernest, Nairobi National Park became a truly special experience. His ability to combine professionalism, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm made him the perfect guide for our family. The Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre were also wonderful highlights, especially for our children, but Ernest was definitely the person who made the whole day exceptional. Another great advantage of this experience is that if you do not have enough time to travel to a remote safari destination, this tour is the perfect alternative. Having a real safari experience within Nairobi city is truly unique. Nairobi National Park offers the incredible opportunity to see wildlife so close to the city, making it an ideal choice for visitors with limited time who still want to experience Kenya’s nature and wildlife. Thank you, Ernest, and the entire team at **Niroskos Tours and Safaris**, for creating such amazing memories for our family. Your communication, organization, flexibility, and personal care are outstanding. We highly recommend Niroskos Tours and Safaris to anyone visiting Nairobi and looking for a reliable, professional, and family-friendly tour operator. Note - (1) Since the tour starts early in the morning, I recommend wearing long warm trousers and bringing a light jacket or pullover, as the morning weather can be quite cold, especially during the Nairobi National Park safari drive. For families travelling with children, it is also a good idea to prepare some small snacks and drinks the day before, as the early start means there may not be much time for breakfast before the tour begins. This will help children stay comfortable and enjoy the experience from the beginning. (2) Attached is an example of how Niroskos Tours and Safaris provides a dedicated webpage customized for your booking, including all relevant details, updates, and follow-up information. This level of communication and attention to detail was exceptional and exceeded our expectations thank you, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding family experience
Great experience! We had a fantastic guide who showed us many animals. The National Park was much bigger than I thought. Seeing the elephants and giraffes made the experience even better.
This is a must see in Nairobi! During the game drive, we saw many different birds, rhinos, hippos and many other animals. Our guide and driver (Harrison and Dennis) were superb. Harrison provided us with a wealth of information about the species we observed and about conservation efforts in the park. Dennis negiotiated the rough roads with skill. The information provided by the staff at the elephant orphanage was interesting. They gave us information about each elephant and about the conservation work that they are involved in. Feeding the giraffes at the giraffe center was a blast
Brilliant experience. Jonathan was a fantastic guide, professional, humorous, well experienced and did everything he could to make the trip enjoyable for us. I enjoyed all parts of the trip; safari, elephant orphanage, giraffe centre, restaurant and bead factory. One of the guests even overslept and missed their pick up time. He even went bacl to the hotel to collect them so they didn't miss out. Highly recommended!
I had Vincent as my tour guide. He was on time in picking up. The tour was very fun! Vincent was knowledgeable about the animals, and we were even able to see two groups of rhinos in a very close distance. Vincent was also very accommodating, and let us spend more time for our lunch and at the giraffe center, so everybody could enjoy as much as possible.
the safari company sent us a toyata van instead of jeep which ruined the entire expereince. the viewing experiece wasnt very good
Our driver was 75 minutes late for a 6:10 am pickup at our hotel. He first picked up another party and they were hopelessly late. As a result we had shorter time at the national park, and missed much of the elephant orphanage. Very disappointing. He should have left the first party pickup and told them to meet at the natiinal park.
The experience at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Giraffe Centre was amazing. However, the Nairobi national park experience was quite anticlimactic, as I didn’t see nearly as many animals as I had expected.
Today I had my first safari experience. First of all, thank you to Jonathan for being such an amazing tour guide. Providing us with plenty of interesting facts and also his patience with all our questions. He made the experience very enjoyable! The gamedrive was very fun, we saw giraffes, antelopes, zebras, ostrich, rhinos, hippos and crocodiles. We got very close to some of them which was a great experience. We then visited the elephant sanctuary where we saw baby elephant, rhino and zebra orphans and were also given plenty of facts about each animal. We visited a local bead making factory and it was very interesting to see how local crafts are created and we thoroughly enjoyed the hukana matata welcome song. Finally we visited the giraffe sanctuary where we had the pleasure of feeding the giraffes Overall an amazing experience would definitely recommend and once again thank you Jonathan for making our time in Kenya an unforgettable experience!
Nairobi National Park wasn't great to be fair but that may have been down to the time of year and our early start, so we didn't see that many animals, the highlight of the park was seeing the rhinos up close as we hadn't seen these at the Masi Maara. We all said that there should be a tour to just the elephant sanctuary and giraffe centre which wouldn't be such a long day, especially if you were going on a different safari tour (which we did). The elephant sanctuary and giraffe centre were amazing. You have an hour in the elephant sanctuary with added shopping time. It was amazing seeing and learning about how they look after and re-integrate the animals back into the wild and its not just elephants that they have there as there was a baby rhino and zebra also being looked after. There is no time-limit at the giraffe centre and you get given pellets of food so that you can feed them. It does get busy though so you will be getting barged whilst trying to feed the giraffes with a dozen other hands trying to do the same. Included in this tour was a visit to the Kobe Tough bead centre, where you learnt how the beads and ceramics are made and used to produce a variety of gifts.
What an amazing day we had today. The safari was INCREDIBLE, we saw lots of wildlife and the highlights being a very close up view of a huge crocodile and an equally close up view on 4 beautiful rhinos lounging by the lake. WOW 🤩 And of course the most important element is the people who guide you. Harrison is a world class wildlife expert whose passion and enthusiasm really made our day. Thank you to the team and I recommend this tour to anyone 🙏🏻👏🏻❤️
On July 30, I went on my scheduled tour, during which several incidents occurred that affected my experience: 1. The driver arrived 15 minutes late at the pickup point at the hotel 2. The car broke down during the first hour of the tour, and I spent an hour and a half waiting for another car to arrive so we could continue the tour. This caused me to miss the opportunity to see animals like lions, which can only be spotted in the early morning 3. We had to switch cars four times during the day. 4. The itinerary was completely changed, causing us to miss two stops, including Kobe and Cultiva Farms. 5. Due to all the issues with the itinerary, we didn’t get a chance to eat lunch until 4 p.m. In summary, the entire experience was significantly impacted, and the itinerary described in the booking was not followed, so I would like to request a partial refund for the booking I reported the situation in the chat we were using with the company on the same day, but I did not receive a response until five days later, when they offered me the opportunity to repeat the tour. However, by then I was no longer in Nairobi, so I was unable to benefit from this form of compensation.
This was my second disappointing experience booking through TripAdvisor. Once again, what was advertised did not match what was delivered. The tour promised a 4x4 safari vehicle, but we were picked up in a Hiace van instead. We booked based on the advertised experience, so this was very disappointing. To make matters worse, TripAdvisor was unreachable before the tour, and our messages went unanswered. We were able to confirm our booking by calling viator customer service . After two similar experiences, we have lost confidence in booking through TripAdvisor and would not recommend it.
Great tour package. You should know that driving thru the National Park is bumpy and very dusty. Our driver Joel was awesome. Saw many kinds of animals.
