Incredible experience. Jonathan was an excellent guide and went above and beyond. We saw heaps of animals and were often the only ones in sight. I’m sure there was some luck but there was plenty of skill as well.

Jonathan (Jay) was a great guide through the national park. He answered all of our many questions and was very informative. Thanks to him we got to see so many amazing animals. The day also included stops at the elephant orphanage and giraffe center and those were equally awesome. Listening to the stories of how they came about the elephants was sad but yet encouraging that there are people looking out for the orphaned animals. It was a great day!
Our driver Jonathan was so fabulous! He showed up on time and navigated the rough roads expertly. He was so patient while we shopping but made sure to keep us on schedule. We saw many many different animals and had fun racing to see some lions. He had some awesome strategies to avoid traffic jams and long lines. Great value for the money.
This was an amazing experience! We were worried we would get cancelled since we put in the order late at night around 12:30 am since we got to Nairobi super late. I woke up early in the morning hoping we got a confirmation and we did! I got the message around 1am! We were super happy. Jonathan was also kind enough to wait for us while we figured out our paying situation for the national park while he picked us up. The ride was nice. Jonathan was very kind and funny made the experience 10x better. He was also very well informed about the animals, so I highly recommend him! I also appreciate the water being bought for us and the patience while we shopped at the gift shops. He drive us through the park, got to see different birds, rhinos, crocs, two sneaky cats, and more. Then we went over to the elephant orphanage which was an amazing experience and then Jonathan took us to a delicious local lunch buffet, prices were amazing and the outside seating was gorgeous + a nice gift shop (which was kind of pricey hehe). Then we went over to the giraffes center and Jonathan got to exhibit his photography skills by taking some photos of us haha. We finally ended it by going to a woman’s bead making organizing which was wonderful and I got to buy some cute gifts! Overall great experience, highly recommended. If I’m ever back here I will be booking again!
We had an amazing safari experience. Jonathan was our tour guide, and he was the best. He was very knowledge in the wildlife and made several stops for us to appreciate the wildlife. Our group was the perfect size, and the length was more than enough to see several animals, the beads and leather factory, and the giraffe center. We stopped for some local food for lunch, and it was the best food that I have ever had. The price was very reasonable, too. I strongly recommend requesting Jonathan if possible!
I had a wonderful experience with Tishmac Safaris on the Nairobi Safari, Giraffe Centre, and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust tour. John our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The organizer tho was very poor with communication. Seeing the wildlife at Nairobi National Park was amazing, and visiting the Giraffe Centre and elephant orphanage was truly unforgettable. The tour was informative, fun, and ran smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend Tishmac Safaris to anyone looking for a memorable wildlife experience in Nairobi!
I can’t rate the tour much, because it never picked us up. After an hour waiting, we managed to get through to the tour company (via WhatsApp, calling didn’t work, asking Viator for help didn’t work), who told us that my pickup was affected by an operational oversight. I am giving an extra star because they did apologise, did try to rectify the issue by rescheduling to another day and complementary mini-tour, but neither of those option really worked for us. We ended up getting a private tour through our hotel (more expensive, as you would expect), but apparently if we were in the park earlier we could have seen lions, so that was a bummer. I even tried to reach out to this tour company with questions a day or two before the tour (I had questions), Viator tried to reach them, and this still happened. Admittedly my booking was <48h notice. Anyway, if you do decide to book with this tour company, just expect some risk, especially if there is no communication from them beforehand. Would definitely recommend Sheldrick and the park tho, just maybe with another company.
It was a really great experience and my tour guide Jonathan was the best and extremely warm and welcoming! Saw a lot of animals, crazy how such a massive park sits in the middle of a city. Highlight was feeding the giraffes and seeing the zebras in the wild.
Excellent day trip! Kelvin and Haman were great guides and so lovely. Highly recommend.
It is very fascinating and offers more that the fee. The tour guide is well knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the captivating features to watch out for
Amazing visit to the Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Trust and Giraffe Center. Unexpected stops for lunch at a roadside food stand with shops and a bead factory. Loved the safari and giraffe center!
Very enjoyable. Pick up and drop off at our hotel in Gigiri. Great driver. Very communicative. Nairobi national Park was wonderful. Lots of rhinos, giraffes, water buffalo, hippos, zebras, etc. Very interesting being so close to the city! The Giraffe, sanctuary and elephant orphanage are great. Don’t miss those! Just a heads up that admission to the national Park, the elephant orphanage, and the giraffe sanctuary are all extra. You can pay for the admission to the national park online (recommended) but admission to the elephant orphanage in a giraffe sanctuary need to be in cash to your driver. You will receive an message about this the day before the trip.
The tour starts early, but is so worth it. Our guide, Jonathan, was great and did his best to get us up close to the animals so we could take good pictures! He also shared some interesting facts and was excellent at identifying the animals we were seeing. In the national park, we were able to see lions, rhinos, water buffalo, hippos, crocs, giraffes, zebras, and so many types of antelope - well worth the trip! The elephants, baby rhino, and baby zebra at the elephant orphanage were so cute. Watching the elephants feed and frolic in the mud was a lot of fun. The giraffe centre was a quick visit, but again, memorable. Feeding the giraffes was a great experience and the people at the centre are helpful in guiding you to a good picture. Ended the day going to the bead and leather factory. The beads were all hand made and beautiful. Excellent day spent in Nairobi.
The trip went really great. Japheth , our driver and your guide, promptly picked us up. He was very organized and knowledgeable. He patiently responded to all our questions and we got to see all the animals except the hippos. Overall it was a fantastic trip and the kids loved it. That said, communication prior to tour wasn't great, I contacted operator but didn't get a response until just a few hours before going to bed.
Tishmac Safaris is not real. Shame on me for not seeing through it, but I thought TripAdvisor actually vetted the company services offered through their website, they clearly do not. We were supposed to be picked up at 6am, we waited until 6:30am before we called the company providing the tours, phone number does not exist, and neither does the website. They never showed up. Your best bet is to book directly through your hotel. This was disgraceful. A complete scam
We have a amazing adventure. Ben is really nice friendly and funny. He is experienced so we can see a lot animals. 可以跟Ben的团,他很热心幽默,而且能带我们找到狮子🦁,没有遗憾啦,国家公园景色也蛮好的,是马赛马拉的平替
Absolutely incredible. The game drive at Nairobi National Park was a perfect introduction to Kenya's wildlife. We saw lions, impala, rhino, zebra, giraffes, and more. Adding the adorable elephants at the Elephant sanctuary, we saw 4 of the Big 5. It's a long day but it's incredibly worth it. Our guide Harrison was fantastic! We learned and saw so much. We recommend paying in cash because it speeds up the process for everything. Harrison took us to an ATM on the way to another pickup so we could get cash. Full service!
We didn’t understand all of the costs involved. We ended up spending over $400 for an excursion that was from 10:00 am to 3 pm. We did enjoy everything we did. My biggest complaint is getting to the park and having to pay $80 per person to get into the park even though we were just seeing the orphanage for elephants, which was an addition $20 per person. Trip Advisor/Viator should have told us to download prior to departure to pay for the park. I’m not sure if the giraffe park was worth going to because it is $12 per person to feed a giraffe, which was 10 minutes. The Bombas show was better than expected. $20 per person was well worth the show. The young adults were really into their show and full of energy and always smiling. We also were taken to the bead shop, which was also a wonderful experience. Bring lots of money.
Known as the safari capital of Africa Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and markets bustle, and a melange of restaurants
more time needed on National park rather, also to ease the payment process. as some procedures delayed the start of the activities
The tour organizer reached pretty late in the evening asking for a mobile number and they did not appear in the morning at hotel while I waited to be picked up. I've submitted a complaint through Viator but no response or decision reached me.
I knew I wouldn’t get an open land cruiser for that price so I was pleasantly surprised by our 4WD tour bus. Also I was afraid that I might get an ex-matatu driver as a driver guide and luckily we didn’t. We got Jonathon who was a skilled and considerate driver. Even when we saw a red-number plated land cruiser driving without due care and consideration of the wildlife he stopped them and cooly and calmly pointed out what they did wrong. He even got an apology from the shame- faced driver! Jonathon’s task was made even harder by the unseasonable rain and the ensuing cold, wet guest! Yes it was a budget safari but we weren’t herded like sheep, we were consulted all the way and our driver delivered us safe and happy back to our homes. Thank you Jonathan for showing me how to have a great experience on a modest budget!
Everything went as planned except the baby elephant park which the organizers couldn’t get tickets for us. The tour guide was very good and well educated.
The tour guide was super kind and could answer almost all questions. All packaged well together. Only thing I’d change is more time at giraffe center. You’ll spend more time at a bead factory than the giraffe center.
Great trip, seen 4 of the big 5 at the national park, and had a great experience feeding the giraffes. The visit to the bead factory was a great insight to the skilled work of the women of Kenya.
The tour was excellent and our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend seeing all 3 of these amazing places! We saw many animals in the national park! Now for the negatives, the tour operator Viator contracted with was an hour late to pick us up which caused a lot of stress, but after an intervention, all was worked out and the rest of the tour was fabulous.
100% recommend this company for both this tour and any other, including any private and personalized ones (like we did after having a great experience with them, deciding to set up a trip to lake naivasha). Everyone we interacted with from the scheduling side to the tours has been super nice + helpful + flexible, plus the tours themselves have been amazing, and on top of it all their prices are as good or better than anyone else's. Big shout out to Kelvin (guide) and Dennis (driver) who are great at what they do and also just great guys to talk to
Charles did everything possible to get us to the best views of all the animals. Would have gone the next day again if I could have!
We had a couple of days to see Nairobi, we booked this tour for a group of 6, and we had SO MUCH FUN! Our driver/guide Charles was amazing! Friendly, prompt, knowledgeable and we saw so many animals!!! I loved every minute of it! I almost did the same exact tour the next day, but I really wanted to visit the Maasai people. Another friend booked this tour and he loved it too! From the beginning of the booking process to the end of the tour, this was one unforgettable experience. I can't wait to come back to Kenya and do it again!
It was good, bad, and fun. So many different feelings about this experience. First it was the change of my pick up time. I was told 0530 and then at the last minute was informed of a 0610 pick up and to purchase the park entrance ticket. I think the tour company should have customers buy the park tickets immediately after purchasing the tour. The park website didn’t work for me. Even my hotel staff tried to help me. When I got on the bus it was full. I sat in the back and didn’t have leg room. So uncomfortable seating the entire tour. Then we picked up one other person. She was awful to sit next to. She put all her belongings all over the middle empty seat, all over me, and she smelled horrible. So you can imagine this is bad in the back of a very hot jeep. The bus driver was inquiring about our tickets to the park. I was put on blast in front of everybody and that was super embarrassing. We were rushing through the park a lot and at one point went over some bump and I flew up from my seat into the roof. My head still hurts from that and it was two days ago. Lots of great animal sightings! And visiting the elephant sanctuary was awesome. The beading workshop was nice. I purchased two necklaces. Horrible restaurant choice. Food was bad. I LOVED feeding the giraffes. Ultimately, the experience was nice but the guide and driver need to do better with time management, and privacy for their customers particularly around money.
The most amazing experience!!!!! Unforgettable!!!!! Dennis and Kelvin were amazing!!!!! We had an incredible day!!! This is totally worth it!!!!!!
We recently had an incredible safari experience in the Nairobi national park, and the sunrise was truly breathtaking! The way the golden light spread across the savannah created a magical atmosphere. Our guides were fantastic, sharing fascinating stories about the wildlife and their behaviors. We saw giraffes grazing peacefully, lions walking in the early morning light, and even some playful zebras. Each moment felt like a scene from a nature documentary, and we couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to witness such beauty. If you're ever thinking about going on a safari, I highly recommend choosing Tishmac safaris . They really enhance the experience and help you appreciate everything around you!
Had a great time on this trip. Kelvin, our guide, was very kind and accommodating. He made sure, we get to see our favourite animals. By this, he made the experience very personal and unique. Our driver (unfortunately forgot his name) was also very skilled and took good care of us, even taking us around off-road. Trips to Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre were amazing, too as you were able to experience them up close. All in all a great way for a day to enjoy nature around Nairobi and still have some time in the afternoon.
Excellent staff very helpful understandable and were happy to help you and solve any queries. They know very well what they are doing and are very professionals.
This tour was incredible! Both guide and driver were fantastic. My partner and I had a wonderful time, and would do this exact tour again whenever we get the chance to come back to Nairobi! Highly recommend 10/10
I highly recommend this company. Excellent experience. The guides were nice, helpful, showed us all the animals we wanted to see. Lions, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, rhinos, monkeys, zebras, ostriches and more.
Safari was amazing and our tour guides were really nice as well. Really enjoy the time there. I had only one day I wish I could have more days to enjoy the nature more.
Johnnatan was a perfect guide , vert Nice day , we love girafe center Unforgattable memories . a memorable day very clean and informative park
Asante sana for our tour ! Jonathan Mutana is an excellent guide, with patience, very good explanations and a safe driver! We loved our stay at Nairobi!
Booked the safari trip and was kept informed by messages on the app then via WhatsApp texts. Was upgraded to a fancy jeep which was amazing! The vehicle was clean, comfortable and we had a great driver who looked after us. We were given bottles of water to stay hydrated, thank you guys! Our tour guide Kelvin was the best! Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were given ample time at the safari and saw all the animals we wanted, being so close to a lioness was scary yet thrilling! Giraffe centre and elephant sanctuary were a great experience too, an amazing day out with great photos and videos! The bead making stop, gift shopping and lunch stop were also perfect! Thank you Tishmac Safaris, thank you Kelvin, and thank you Kenya for a beautiful experience! Love to you all! ❤️
Brilliant!! John was simply brilliant. He answered all our questions and was very patient and giving us the tour of our life.
I got picked up from the airport and was able to get a beautiful first insight into the country. Thanks to Jonathan, Kelvin and Hermann! Truly unique to experience so many beautiful animals and this kind of nature right in front of the metropolis Nairobi! Fast rides, nice meals, interesting stops, lovely company would totally recommend!
Absolutely amazing. Definitely worth doing if you’re in Nairobi. Super informative and a truly impressive day out. 10/10
It was great to be picked up from our hotel and taken to see the baby elephants at the park and feed the giraffes. Also going to the bead store and learning how they were made was amazing.
The elephant orphanage and giraffe center was awesome! Johnathan was and excellent guide as well. I highly recommended the tour!
Douglas our tour guide made an effort for us to see all the animals. It was an amazing experience! It was a great value bundle as we got to experience the national park, the giraffe centre and the elephant sanctuary all in one day which was a bargain.
I went to Nairobi National Park with them, but sadly, most animals, especially big cats, were shy and didn't show up. Then, I was taken to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where they care for orphaned rhinos and elephants, which was terrific. We entered the Giraffe Centre to finish the day, where I fed giraffes and took some nice pictures. Overall, the service was excellent.
Good to see. Less good that you first pay admission of more than 700 to the national park, then Sheldrick also charges admission
The three places visited were very interesting and our driver guide very good. Our group was friendly.
A very nice experience. Being able to flatter elephants and feed giraffes is an unusual activity. Our guide Mike was very kind. To do at least once 😊
