At the coffee farm Elvis shared information about processing coffee beans. He was amazing. He described everything from plant to bean to coffee. It was an amazing tour that I highly recommend. Elvis’ knowledge was unmatched! Superb!

Across Wilderness Expedition team is great at what they do. Half Day Nairobi National Park was the best experience have ever had. From Rhino sightings to giraffes and Ostriches. I highly recommend them.

We had the most brilliant day with Obed from Safariport visiting Fairview Coffee farm. It was fascinating to learn about the farm and the whole process from bean to coffee. We could pick up flavours of nuts and fruits in the coffees depending on some of the trees in adjacent fields such as bananas, macadamias, mangoes. I have a whole new respect for and deeper understanding of my morning cup of coffee. Best of all no spraying of bugs and everything is organic. Obed then took us to lunch at a very local restaurant. It was off the beaten track and outstanding to experience something truly authentic. Obed was calm, drove extremely well and was a wealth of information. We highly recommend Safariport. Thanks for an amazing memorable day in Kenya!

This is a must do while in Nairobi! Just 45 mins outside the city. The walk through the coffee fields are fantastic, you’ll learn a lot and have fun while doing it. The tasting of different roasts was a fun experience!

Guides do an amazing job. The operator arranges for hotel pick ups which worked out perfect for us since we booked a hotel near to the airport. Quite expensive though.

A calm and beautiful coffee farm in Kiambu. Everything is done with care, from hand-picking the cherries to drying and sorting the beans. You can see the effort, the skill, and the pride in every part of the process. A really special place.

If you are into coffee, then this is a must. I leaned a lot about how coffee is grown, processed and actively the proper way of tasting coffee during coffee tasting, who knew!

I was waiting at the time that was listed (9:30) and nobody showed up so at 9:32 I sent a message and no response. I sent multiple messages and waited another 40 minutes. Nobody ever showed up or responded to my messages.

Had an amazing experience and learned so much from the driver (Ezekiel) and the coffee tour guide (James). The property is beautiful & a peaceful walk, with so much scenery and tranquility to take in as you learn about the science of coffee production in Kenya! Definitely a worthwhile visit!

We booked this based on the excellent previous reviews and we were right to do so! Really interesting and informative tour of the Fairview Coffee Estate. Elvis our guide was engaging and informative and really made the tour! Obed our driver picked us up from our hotel and was an excellent driver- it was really easy to get to. Overall I would really recommend this tour. My teenage children also thoroughly enjoyed it - one of the highlights of our trip to Kenya.

We’ve done coffee tours all over the world and expected it to be much of the same but that was not the case at all! They went above and beyond to showcase different things and gave an incredible in depth history lesson on coffee. Definitely recommend even if (like us) you’ve already done a coffee tour elsewhere.

We enjoyed our time with Moses, such a knowledgeable driver from Safari Port, to get to and from the coffee farm. The experience at the farm was far more in-depth than I had expected and well worth the effort to get out there.

We were so fortunate to have Obed be our driver for the second time. He is such a kind friendly man who was so willing to answer our questions. The tour of the coffee farm was so interesting. The coffee was delicious and the farm was beautiful. The best part was our tour Guide Liz. She shared so much with us about coffee and growing up in Kenya. We strongly recommend this tour. Plus we were able to buy the coffee that we actually saw being roasted. Cant get any fresher than that.

I had an amazing experience on the coffee plantation. Elvis was our tour guide; he was endearing, knowledgeable, and funny. We learned about the different types of coffee beans, walking through the plantation, leaned about the coffee making process, and also has a coffee tasting at the end.

Our driver Tim was excellent and safely transported us the Fairview Coffee Farm while giving us some history and trivia about Kenya. The tour at the farm was very interesting, and our guide Elvis did an amazing job. The coffee is excellent and my mom and I each bought a bag to take home!

Located right outside Nairobi, this estate is one of the largest in Kenya. The tour is very well organized and esplicative.

Mwose, my driver,picked me up promptly and we had really good 2way conversation on way out and back learning about Kenya and history of why many Kenyans don't drink much coffee themselves. Beautiful peaceful gardens accompany the coffee plantation. The walk around the farm learning about the coffee plants and lifecycle very informative and all my questions answered. Again good and easy 2way conversation had about many things with my guide (sorry I can't spell your name). Appreciated the easy comaraderie established between us. Then in to see process after picking the bean to final product. The smell, then taste tests were great and I was surprised at my preference compared to what I thought I liked! All in all it was a great 3 hour experience and so pleased I went on this tour

James, our guide, was knowledgeable about the entire production of coffee. We walked through the coffee fields, saw the beans drying and had a coffee tasting. Nice way to spend the day. Tim our driver was a safe driver and very informative.

It was interesting walking around the coffee farm learning about how the beans are grown, graded, and processed, and then having the opportunity to taste the different roasts.

Amazing experience. Tim drove me, picking me up and dropping me back off at my hotel. He was very punctual and we had a very nice discussion about the city and its history on the way to the farm. The farm tour itself was incredible -- very informative and engaging for coffee lovers (like myself) and even for those who do not drink coffee (there were a few on my tour). You will see and learn about coffee plantings, how to tell when cherries are ready to be picked (and pick some yourself), the washing process, and have a coffee cupping/tasting session at the end, where you can try to guess whether the cup is a light, medium, or dark roast. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting!

My friend and I took the coffee farm tour while staying in Nairobi over the weekend and had an incredible time! First our driver, Obed (something if I misspelled!), was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the city itself and gave us a little bit of history as we drove to the farm. It was a quick drive and the farm was gorgeous. Once Obed dropped us off, we were greeted by our tour guide, James, who showed us around. He knew so much about coffee and the farm, and you could tell he enjoyed getting to talk to new people and was very engaging. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or a casual coffee drinker, you’ll have a great time. I highly recommend!

I was a part of 19 on Nairobi Coffee Farm and Factory tour of the Fairview Coffee Plantation, just outside Nairobi on the 27th June 2024, organized by Safari Port. The owner, Obed, who whom we had communicated and set rates, met us at our hotel and escorted us throughout the tour. The tour lasted about 4 hours including transit to and from the hotel. The tour was very informative and quite enjoyable, the highlight was coffee tasting of different varietals. We saw the plantation and the harvesting as well as recovery and processing of beans. Obed was always reachable as we arranged the tour by email from US - sight unseen. Payment was secure and promptly acknowledged. Obed was able to adapt to small changes in our schedule without too much fuss. The guide at Fairview was excellent who gave us the history of the plantation as well as the society of Nairobi. I would recommend this tour as interlude from seeing animals in the reserves and our interaction with Obed was faultless

Moses was EXCELLENT! He was our driver to and from the coffee tour. He was a gentleman and very knowledgeable. It was pouring rain on the drive home and he returned us safely to our hotel.

The tour was very informative and they walk you through the whole coffee process from growing to harvesting to roasting so you can get an idea of how coffee gets to be coffee. You also get to taste the different types of coffee. The driver who drove me there was also very knowledgeable and pointed out different things in Nairobi and was well informed of the history, which made for an interesting drive. The coffee estate is also very beautiful, which was a plus. Overall, it was an enjoyable tour.

I had a relaxing, informative, and enjoyable visit to the coffee farm. I am a daily coffee drinker and lover of nature. The gardens at the estate are gorgeous and relaxing. The guide took me all around the coffee farm and explained the process and history of making the beans. At the end of the tour they serve you a delicious cup of coffee after a tasting of various roasts. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in coffee, nature, or just looking to relax and learn something new. I felt very safe and not rushed. Obed was a great driver. Thanks!

I went by myself and i totally loved it!!! The drive there already was super fun and informative. The staff and the Farm is just lovely! I had the best time. Would totale recommend! You are missing out on a great experience and beautiful people if you dont go.

This was a great, informative tour in and around the coffee farm. Guide James was very knowledgeable, and kind. Also, driver Tim was very knowledgeable about Nairobi area and explained a lot along the way. This day, I learned a lot! Worthwhile visit, only 30min drive north of Nairobi. I had a fantastic morning with James the guide who I found to be very well educated and very accommodating. He made the experience both personal and informative. I would highly recommend this tour for anybody interested in what is commonly known as black gold.
