Amazing morning to the elephant orphanage and Giraffe sanctuary. Faith our guide was lovely she was waiting for us at pick up time and was helpful and informative all day. She made sure we got to the front of the queue so we had a great space to see the Elephants. I would highly recommend this trip.

Great experience, got to see baby elephants and giraffes up close, and dancing, even participated. And lots of other stuff
We booked this tour to the elephant orphenage, the giraffe center and traditional jewelry making. Denish picked us up from the airport right after arrival, he is a very friendly and nice driver, we would always recommend him again. The tour itself was amazing, it was our first time in Kenya and we were completely stunned to see the baby elephants fed with bottles, a baby zebra and his little friend a rhino cuddling together (all of them will be released once they are ready). The giraffe center allowed us to feed grown up and baby giraffes, which will be placed into the wilderness as well to regrow the population. Additionally, we were welcomed by women singing „Jambo“ at a jewelry place where they handcraft jewelry made by clay. It was a wonderful first day we would always want to do it again!
Doooooo it!! Stop thinking and book. Now. Fine, you can finish reading but then book it!!!! Our guide Danielle was AMAZING!! What an incredible human being to spend the day with, and it was like he had a magic lamp. You wanna see a lion? Boom! How about a hippo?! Done. The vehicle was spacious, and comfortable. We felt like absolute VIP’s/family the entire day. I cannot recommend it enough. Sooooo glad we were able to fit it in our trip. Now go book!!!
An incredibly meaningful and experience. We were honoured to be able to support such a noble cause. And ummmm baby elephants, zebras and rhinos?! Enough said. Highly recommend!!
If there’s only one thing you do in Nairobi, it should be this tour! We had a few days in Nairobi before our week long tour through Kenya & Tanzania and it was the best way to start the trip. Kelvin picked us up on time from our hotel and as soon as met him, we knew we were in for a fantastic day. We got to the park nice and early (Tip: definitely organise your National Park ticket before you leave your home country. This saved us so much time and stress, and we went straight in), and had no idea just how incredible this experience would be. We couldn’t believe just how many animals we saw on this game drive: Lions, hyenas, jackals, black & white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocs, cerval, endless types of antelope, warthogs, beautiful birds. It was mind-blowing. Kelvin did his absolute best to get us to each exciting encounter, sharing interesting facts along the way. Next up was the Elephant Orphanage. Kelvin made sure we were standing in the best spot and got up close and personal, with the beautiful babies. After a lovely lunch, we visited the Giraffe Centre and once again Kelvin made sure we got the best photos and experience, feeding the incredible giraffes. This entire day was such a highlight of the trip. Even after doing other game drives throughout Kenya & Tanzania national parks, this is definitely still an experience I would recommend to everyone. Thanks again Kelvin for being such a wonderful guide, getting us to the best spots throughout the day and making our first ever game drive absolutely unforgettable.
We did a private tour of Nairobi National Park, Elephant orphanage, and Giraffe center with Douglas. We had a great time and Douglas was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, birds and history of Nairobi. He made sure that we got to see all walks of life and had enough time to take pictures during each stop. He also pointed out things that we would have missed ourselves. This was our first time in Africa and I highly recommend this experience. Thank you Douglas for an outstanding introduction to Nairobi Kenya!
We had Kelvin as our guide, he was informative, an excellent driver, and was able to help us spot many animals through the national park. He was helpful with paying our park fees under the new fee structure and assisted with issues trying to get them paid and the ticket. Would definitely book again. Then at the elephant orphanage he helped us get a good spot, took us to the giraffe park to feed the giraffes and took us to see some sites in Nairobi since we had more time.
This driver was the best, very informative about thr animals and the park.I would recommend this tour guide to anyone wanting a great tour.
Awesome! Kelvin did a wonderful job. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals. He was a good driver and very friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend and do this again!!!
We had a very full day with Kelvin Kaloki of Rustic Nature Tours. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable! Plus he was very accommodating with our group's specific needs and requests. He was also an excellent birder! The Elephant Orphanage is a must. We had just enough time to tour the Giraffe Centre - wish we could have spent more time there!
If you get Kelvin Kaloki as a guide, consider yourself very lucky! Kelvin was simply the best guide we could have asked for, with our group of five women, who wanted to stop at every bird throughout Nairobi National Park. He's a fantastic spotter, really knows the birdlife (not every guide is so expert!) and was extremely knowledgeable about the park and environs. He even found us a two pairs of rhinos, one white and one black, at the same place-- a fantastic bit of luck. Then, when my hat blew off near the white rhinos, he coordinated with another vehicle to retrieve it safely! Kelvin has an infectious enthusiasm about wildlife, and clearly delights in sharing his expertise. With patience and humor, he let us pepper him nonstop with questions. After Nairobi NP, he skillfully navigated Nairobi rush hour to get us to the Giraffe Conservation Center, and the Kobi Tough Bead Center- both wonderful experiences. He truly gave us the best day possible-- A+++!
We had the most amazing time with Kalvin. He was knowledgeable and knew exactly how to get the best view and set us up for perfect photos. He made sure we had front row positions at the Elephant Orphanage as well. We will definitely book with him again when we visit next. Highly recommend!
I had a WONDERFUL day with Denish from Rustic Nature Tours. He promptly picked me up at my hotel, and we were off to the Giraffe Center, telling me info about the sites we passed along the way. From there we went to the Sheldrick elephant orphanage, making sure we were the 1st ones to enter, and securing a prime location to view and pet the elephants. Next was the Kobe Tough beads and pottery center, then a craft market, and finally a delicious lunch spot. From start to finish a perfect experience!!
Denish Aoko is a such great guide. It was very safe, informative and memorável. He show me the best place to see the elephants in Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. This show and the visit to Giraffe Center was fantastic and one of the best places to visit in all Kenya.
Amazing ride. Amazing tour. Totally recommend it. The guide was very knowledgable, the trip was planned well. All things were good.
We had a great time experiencing the Giraffe sanctuary and the elephant orphanage. Kelvin was an excellent guide. He showed us the best way to feed the giraffes and not stress them out. At the elephant orphanage, Kelvin rushed ahead to make sure we got the best spot for viewing, touching and photographing the elephants. He was an excellent guide.
Excellent! Joel was so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. He picked us up promptly and brought us to Nairobi Park to see many many animals, and then brought us to the elephant orphanage and to the giraffe center. We only had one day in the Nairobi area and this trip was perfect. We highly recommend Rustic Nature and Joel!!
An incredible safari with LOTS of animal sightings right in the city! Great tour all around and the elephant orphanage, giraffe center, and KOBE bead center was amazing
It was a very interesting place to visit. Although I can appreciate the purpose of the shelter. I was a little disappointed because there were so many people there at the same time, it was difficult to get close to the elephants. So it was more of a lecture with watching the elephants from afar.
Our driver Calvin, was extremely good! Very polite, very knowledgeable and very helpful. We had an excellent day! Thank you!!
As we were in Nairobi for just one day, we looked for a long time to find a private tour that took in the national park, the elephant orphanage, giraffe centre and Kobe Beads. We had a wonderful guide in Joseph W. Thanks to him we arrived very early at the National Park and were rewarded with seeing a huge array of animals within the first two hours. The day ran smoothly with it being a private tour. We arrived early to queue for orphanage entry guaranteeing a ringside seat and at the giraffe centre we were treated to a vip experience with the giraffes and plenty of photos being taken of us. Kobe beads definitely worth the visit. Joseph took us to an excellent little local restaurant as we wanted traditional food for lunch. We really can’t recommend both the private tour and the driver Joseph enough. Managed to pack so much into our too brief Nairobi visit.
I had such a wonderful morning with Denish as my guide! He knew I was excited about seeing the elephants at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and so he made sure I got there early and had a front row place. He also took me to the Giraffe centre before the crowds, where I had a chance to spend time feeding them. He was a friendly and informed guide who gave me a great Kenyan experience. Thank you Denish - you made my trip extra special. I hope I can come back and do it again. Jill.
We had an awesome tour with Faith! She was kind and knowledgeable and helped us get VIP access to the busy places we went to. We would definitely recommend!
Fantastic trip - especially if you only have a day in Nairobi! And, Kelvin made it all the more special. He is knowledgeable, checks in regularly, and made us feel very welcome!
Visiting the elephant orphanage and the giraffe centre is definitely worth it. Supporting the orphanage is a must, they are doing tremendous job. Our guide Douglas was kind and helpful, the trip was smooth and pleasant.
We had a dream trip because we made the right choice and our guide Kavin was the best possible! Not only was the driving game super enjoyable but we managed to see all animals possible, and Kavin made everything possible for us to see the lions! I highly recommend Rustic Nature
This was an unforgettable experience! Our driver, Joel, was absolutely amazing! He was knowledgeable and friendly as he guided us through Nairobi park. He shared fascinating insights about the animals and the history of the park. Visiting the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre was an unforgettable experience that left us in awe of the dedication and care given to these magnificent animals. Overall, it was a fantastic outing, and I highly recommend this trip. If you’re lucky enough to have Joel as your driver, you’re in for an even more memorable experience!
We had a truly memorable day on this tour. Kelvin, our guide, was an expert who made the tour a fun adventure from the start. We almost felt bad for the other safari vans because we were often the only ones at the best viewing spots. I would recommend Kelvin to anyone visiting. I’m so grateful he shared his knowledge, positive energy, and passion for safari with us!
I had a great day, was the perfect length, enough time to see everything. My guide, Kelvin was an absolute dream. Travelling on your own makes the guide even more important and we laughed all day! He really made the trip special for me! Would highlight recommended!
We had an amazing day with Kelvin. He picked us up at 6am so we had time for a game drive before visiting shelderick. If you have time for this, definitely recommend the early morning start. The cost of park entry is already included in visiting shelderick, and Nairobi national park is one of the best spots to see rhinos because of all of the conservation efforts being made. Kelvin is very knowledgeable about the animals we saw in the park. He has an obvious passion about all of the national parks and the efforts being made to protect the animals living in them. Having a guide with his kind of insight and enthusiasm really creates the experience and our day with Kelvin could not have been better. We quickly found the rhinos we had been hoping to see. Then had a chance to see a buffalo, zebras, giraffes, ostrich, and many types of birds. On our way to the elephant orphanage, we were lucky enough to see a lioness from just a few feet away. Once at the orphanage, Kelvin helped us get a front row spot with the best view to watch the elephants come in for their feeding. At the giraffe sanctuary, he supplemented our time there with lots of interesting facts about the different giraffes found in Kenya. I would 100% recommend rustic tours for any sort of safari needs and definitely see if Kelvin is available. Our group had a few days of safari in Tsavo after our day in Nairobi and we all wished we could have had Kelvin as a guide there too!
wonderful purity and denish were awesome i recommend doing this again, very good people. no problems at all very smooth
The tour was enjoyable. Sam, our guide, was kind, knowledgeable, and a good driver, which made the experience pleasant. We appreciated the overall experience and would recommend the tour.
Absolutely wonderful day spent with Kelvin from Rustic Nature tours. Booking and ongoing communication was very easy. I felt we were in expert hands the whole day. Kelvin was very knowledgeable and was able to get little extras here and there that contributed to our experience. And lunch was a great recommendation! I would thoroughly recommend using Rustic Nature tours. We have already booked our next tour with him when we comeback to Nairobi!
Great, friendly, and knowledgeable tour guide!! Great visit to park, giraffe center, and elephant orphanage. Highly recommend!
Excellent and highly knowledgeable tour guide! Easy to arrange the tour. Incredible views of wildlife in the national park along with amazing trips to the elephant orphanage and giraffe center. Highly recommend!!
Kelvin is a reliable professional and very personable tour guide. Two years ago he organised a visit to the elephant sanctuary and giraffe conservation centre- also the lovely bead project- it was so enjoyable we asked him to arrange a similar day this year -we were not disappointed and would recommend him highly
Wonderful driver who went above and beyond to make our experience unique. We learnt a lot about Kenyan culture and we can’t say enough about the kindness and professionalism of Douglas.
Amazing day! Drivers were very nice and knowledgeable! I even got to practice my Kiswahili! Highly recommend for a great day in Nairobi!
Excellent tour our driver ensured we arrived at each venue in time and ensured we had the best vantage point to see the animals. Enjoyed a great visit to Kobe beads afterwards and then a wonderful lunch. This was a top notch day with an excellent driver!
Highly recommend the tour — both the Giraffe Center and the Elephant orphanage were unforgettable experiences and contribute to the cause of conserving Kenya’s incredible wildlife. Ask for Meshack as your guide, he’s an all around good guy, very reliable and will go out of his way to make sure you have the best possible experience. He got us to the orphanage in time to watch the feeding and also made sure we got front row seats—intentionally in a spot that kept us dry and mud free when the baby elephants started wallowing in the water. Be prepared to pay extra to explore the national park beyond the orphanage (the tour only includes the Giraffe Center and Orphanage), but it’s well worth it. Meshack knew all the best locations to view wildlife and maximized the time we had in the park. Within tour hours he got us amazing views of crocs, hippos, zebras, ostrich, gazelle, water buffalo, and even got us within feet of a grazing rhino family. We liked Meshack so much we negotiated some extras into the tour and reached out to him to get us from our hard to access hotel to the train station the next day.
Linus took us for a day trip in Nairobi and it was the perfect way to tick off the sites efficiently! Consider for a day trip or even airport stop over. Thank You!
Was a booking problem that was sorted immediately. Then Linas ( guide) went above and beyond to make our time very memorable. His recommendations were spot on. Also a very competent driver Thanks
Amazing day visiting and getting up close to these incredible creatures! Kelvin our guide had excellent knowledge and showed us to the best spot for elephant viewing, even though traffic congestion caused by the Kenyan marathon meant he had to change the order of the tour. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nairobi!
Wilson was fantastic. Contacted me before he picked us up so we knew exactly when to be ready. He gave us plenty of information on the tours, nairobi and kenya. The elephant orphanage was a highlight seeing the great work they do to get elephants and rhino's back into the wild.
Adorable experience of close contact with baby elephants and giraffes. Both initiatives, Elephant orphanage and Giraffe center, worthy of praise. The visit to the Kobe women’s bead cooperative was also very nice. The tour logistics itself was perfect. We definetely recommend our guide, Douglas.
Had a great tour with Denish! The ecitizen platform was challenging so we left somewhat delayed, but he was flexible to change up the schedule to make sure still saw everything we wanted to! The elephants were great, and we also saw a baby rhino! We were very quick at the beads stop and decided to skip the museum altogether to prioritize our time with the animals
My husband and I did 2 days of visits around Nairobi. On the first day we went to the Giraffe Centre and to a coffee farm, and on the second day we visited Nairobi National Park and the Elephant Orphanage, and we made a stop at Kobe tough. Both days were full of intense impressions and emotions. Our driver and guide, Kelvin, was fantastic!! It was mostly thanks to him that our experience was exceptional. The Giraffe centre gives you the opportunity to see these beautiful animals from very close and to feed them directly. But made no mistake - you can't really pet them; they remain wild and don't really like it if you try to touch their nose or forehead :-) The coffee farm was a surprising experience to me. Being a convinced coffee lover, i realized how much I don't know about coffee! The visit was organised for a group to which we sneaked in and at the end we all did a coffee tasting during which we were supposed to guess the different types of coffee. The only person who managed to guess everything correctly (and who never drinks coffee, only tea) was my husband :-) Nairobi National Park is also a very special place to visit because it is amazing to see a park like this so close to a large metropol. I have several picture with wild animals we came across and at the background - the tall city buildings. This park has few rhinos, black and white, and this was the first time I had the chance to see rhinos in East Africa. I strongly recommend to visit the park ahead of a safari to get a pre-taste of what is up to come in places like Maasai Mara, Tsavo, Amboseli...visiting the park after a safari may be a little bit disappointing. At the Elephant Orphanage we had the chance to hear a short story about each baby elephant that was brought to this shelter. We saw them running impatiently into the little square where they received formula milk, water and some snacks. There is currently a cute baby black rhino that was also rescued by the shelter. However, the place is very touristic, and we decided to leave before the end of the visit because it became really crowded. But maybe it is for the best as this brings funds to the foundation managing the orphanage. Finally, we went to the Kobe tough cetre where we enjoyed to see how the craft is made and we bought few beautiful gifts for family and frieds back home. It is a little bit pricy but the money goes for a good cause, so it is worth buying. Once again, special thanks to Kelvin, our driver and guide, asante sana na ninatarajia kukuona tena!
Guide was phenomenal and we were SO glad we had him instead of trying to go to these locations ourselves. He made the experience seamless and got us great spots to watch the elephant feeding. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend!
We had an amazing day with Rustic nature tours. We had come from Australia and the communication for the booking process and follow up questions were answered accurately and truthfully. We were picked up early and went to Nariobi national park and watched the sun rise while rhinos were grazing in front of us, we spent over 4hrs looking and finding many species of animals including an array of birds. We then travelled to the Sheldrick wildlife centre, we saw a baby rhino and 19 baby elephants all whom had been orphaned, the experience was incredibly moving. After lunch we went to the Giraffe Centre and fed the amazing herd of giraffes they had there and listened to a very comprehensive explanation of the different types of giraffes their structures and lifestyles. Our guide Douglas was excellent, answering our questions and giving us time to get our camera shots right, I highly recommend this company
