A very very long day tour from Nairobi for those short on time, but definitely worth it for the wildlife viewing. I'm an equator nerd and reallt enjoyed the stops at the equator signs in Nanyuki and also in Ol Pejeta itself. Rhinos are the main draw here, and I saw a lot of them. Also a surprisingly high number of elephants. I did tours of Ol Pejeta and Amboseli National Park in the same week, and I have to say that Ol Pejeta actually had far better wildlife encounters. Bonus that it also seemed a lot less touristed than Amboseli, so the wildlife encounters seemed much more intimate. James is a fantastic and knowledgeable driver. Would definitely recommend!

We had a day tour game drive with excellent game spotting adventure and the tour guide was fun and social. During the game drive we spotted some wild animals, chimpanzees, hippopotamus and the black rhino named Baraka. The game drive was successful and thanks to the guide.
The day ended up better than we could have ever expected. We got to the park around 10 and drove around looking for animals until our 11am appointment with the two last remaining white rhinos. But before that could happen, Samuel learned about a lion sighting on the other side of the park. We took off and picked up a ranger and spent an hour going through the bush in hunt of lions... And we found 3 large males Samuel rescheduled our rhino appointment and we spent time on the side of the park where we spotted the lions. This was less visited and was loaded with animals. We saw tons of zebras, elephants, and giraffes. We also saw a baby zebra, elephant, and rhino. Additionally we saw hyenas, lots of antelope, wildebeasts, and buffalo. Samuel was great at finding the animals, and he let us spend as much time we wanted at each sighting. I 100% recommend Perfect Safaris and Samuel.
Perfect Safaris Africa lives by its name! Our experience was wonderful especially due to the leadership and professionalism by our guide Kevin! He is very knowledgeable about everything related to wildlife and the richness of Kenyan culture. He knows the best photo ops, the best places to stop for snacks, and he has gained the trust of the Ol Pejeta rangers for them to guide you even more. Visiting Ol Pejeta and visiting Najin and Fatu, the last two Northern white rhinos was exceptional. If you make it all the way to Kenya, without a doubt, make it all the way to Ol Pejeta. Visit them, touch their horns, and recommit yourself to doing all you can to protect wildlife and nature. It's a long day (leaving at 5am and arriving about 8pm) but totally worth it! If you have the time, stay overnight at a hotel.
This was one of the most amazing adventures of my life. Kevin was the best guide, he was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and it was like another friend joined us on our trip to show us around. We were able to see four of the big five in one day. All living happily in a conservatory safe from being hunted by man and being well cared in nature. That meant a lot to us. I can't rate this high enough. I would recommend you try going if you can.
One of the best trips of my life. The whole day was perfect. The guid was so professional and good. This trip is a must do. 11/10
We gad a great day with Frederik. Right on time and very efficient. A good driver that did his best to show us everything there is to see. Be aware that with this tour you only see the 2 northern white rhinos from behind a fence and cannot get close.
Danson was a great driver and had a lot of knowledge about the animals. He even had a bird book for me to see the descriptions of all the birds we saw. The conservatory was well maintained and everyone there was polite.
What an incredible experience, worth every penny/shilling. Our guide George picked us up promptly and drove us north several hours to Ol Pejeta. He offered to stop at the equator point where a local guide could show us around (we declined) - and he stopped along the road to buy us several bunches of local fruit we told him we liked, to enjoy with our breakfast. Over the course of the 4-5 hours George drove us through the game park, we saw just about every single species in the park (elephant and giraffe *incredibly up close and personal*, black and white northern rhino, buffalo, zebra, warthog, antelope, gazelle, and many birds) and the chimpanzees at the rescue center. The only animal we missed were the lions, who were deep in the forest avoiding the midday heat. George’s instinct for where to seek animals in the park (and frequent check-ins with other guide friends also working in the park) meant we felt like we were constantly spotting new creatures. Incredible. He stopped for photos whenever, and no matter how often, a request was made, and would often pivot the vehicle for us to get the best views. Lunch at Sweetwater was delicious with an excellent serving staff. We cannot say enough good things about our tour with George today - and recommend you ask for him when booking!
My mom and I had a great tour with Danson to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We went as a day trip from Nairobi so it was a long day but definitely worth it. In addition to visiting the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Baraka the black rhino, and Fatu and Najin (the last two Northern white rhinos on earth), we saw plenty of animals driving through the conservancy. I highly recommend this tour. Our guide Danson was great - very thoughtful, friendly, and knowledgeable!
It is definitely worth visiting Ol Pejeta. Our guide, Antony was great trying to spot and show us all animals. It is also the home for the last living representatives of Northern White Rhinos, so it was a great experience. The only disappointment was we couldn't see chimps, they hid in the forest. So if you are going there for chimps only, put your expectations low...
Our guide Tony Clove he was awesome so full of knowledge and cheer always made our days fun and enjoyable made sure we seen everything we could even went out off his way over above and beyond for us to see Hippos and more importantly lions always on time willing to go earlier and later in the day for us always kept our safety a Priority
Our guide Tony was great, he accommodated all our requests allowing us time to see the chimpanzees, Equator marker and the Northern White Rhinos, he was also very knowledgeable about the animals we saw on safari. Would recommend him as he delivers on what the tour itinerary was sold as and gave us a good amount of time to see the Northern White Rhinos.
We had a wonderful day with Simba as our guide & Black Santa as our driver, and highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience African wildlife from Nairobi but does not have the time to take a multi-day safari, or who is interested in Ol Pejeta’s incredible rhino sanctuary. It’s perfect for someone here on business too who wants to get out of the city for a day. We were able to see many animals on our game drives, as well as the last 2 northern white rhinos. It was really cool to get up close and meet Baraka (the blind black rhino under the care of Ol Pejeta) - I hadn’t realized that was part of this tour! The lunch stop was wonderful as well - loved getting to watch the animals at the watering hole. The only thing I would note is this tour may not be best for someone who has a hard time sitting for a long time or who is sensitive to heat - as this vehicle can be a bit of a bumpy ride and does not have air conditioning. The ride from Nairobi can take anywhere from 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hours depending on traffic. Just something to keep in mind. Overall, though, this tour way wonderful thanks to our knowledgeable and fun guide and driver - ask for Simba & Black Santa when you book.😊
Tony was the absolute best guide that I’ve ever had. He made arrangements when we went our tour for me to go in to see the last two remaining white northern rhinos left in the world. It was totally amazing and I could not of done it with all his help.It was an experience that words cannot describe. Thank you Tony for making my tour Life-changing.
I was recently living and working in Nairobi for a few months and came across this gem of a tour company. Since I was visiting alone for work, I wanted to explore Ol Pejeta because of all the wonderful things I had heard. I must say, seeing is definitely believing. Ol Pejeta was absolutely amazing. Prior to my departure, finalizing the details of my tour was quick and easy. My trip details were taken care of by Everline, and she was always pleasant and willing to help with any of my questions. On the day of the actual conservancy tour, my tour guide Peter Oyugi arrived promptly at 5:00am as promised. I was pleased to be met with such great energy that early in the morning. I’m not typically a morning person, but Peter engaged in awesome conversation and was sure to discuss and showcase local landmarks and sights during the drive to Nanyuki (city in which Ol Pejeta is located). Upon arrival, he took me to visit the site of the equator, and let me do the little experiment where you can visibly see the magnetic impact that the forces around the equator has on the spiral formed as water is draining both north and south of the equator. Since I was traveling alone, Peter really tailored my trip towards my likes and interests, which I greatly appreciated (he also captured all my great photos of myself during the conservancy tour :-) ). At that point, I had not seen any lions during my stay in Kenya on any of my previous safaris. Peter made sure we were in the correct areas of Ol Pejeta throughout the day to spot the lions. We became pretty good buddies for the day! I would definitely leverage this tour company again. They are easy to work with, and from my experience, they really put the customer first. Thanks again perfect wilderness tours!
The pick up time was a little too early as far as 5am. Ol Pejeta is a must due if you're into rhinos. I got to see all three of them. This tour was booked at the last moment and it was worth it. Great buffet lunch. On the way back as I'm dropped off in Nairobi. I had forgotten a personal item in the car. This company gave me the item the next day first thing in the morning. I'm happy I had done this tour at very last minute.
Spectacular experience. The park is impressive, with lots and diversity of animals (elephants, rhinos, giraffes, lions, among others). To crown the experience, being able to come into contact with "baraka" (blind rhino that is cared for by park workers) is indescribable. A unique moment. Our guide was excellent, as he served as a guide and driver. We are Argentine and spoke very good Spanish. We recommend them, they will not be disappointed.
