Day Tour To Nairobi National Park And Giraffe Center

This is my first time in Nairobi and it was such a wonderful trip overall. This experience is the highlight of this trip. I did not realize this would be a safari adventure honestly, I don’t know why I thought that. My sister mentioned this would be an activity we would do but little did I know it would be a safari. And for someone who isn’t as well traveled as she is, and she has been to more serious safaris but this experience is so perfect for someone like me. I was very impressed with Samuel. He was very professional from the start, very prompt, very polite, attentive and very knowledgeable. I learned so much that day - about the animals, about the habitat and the many efforts and milestones the park has had. I could tell that he enjoys what he does. I am so thankful for this experience. It not only showed me how wonderful this world is but also how going out of my comfort zone made me witness the beauty and wonder of Nairobi, of Kenya and of Africa. The Giraffe Centre was also such a treat. Again, Samuel made sure we were informed of what the center was about and its efforts to protect the Rothschild Giraffe from extinction, while offering a sanctuary for all giraffes. I am so impressed by the center’s staff and how knowledgeable they are and how you could tell they love what they do as well. Overall what a wonderful time I had and what a way to usher in my 50th year! The wonderful service Samuel provided is very top notch. I will always hold this experience very dear to my heart and thank you so much Perfect Safaris for a wonderful time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another fantastic experience with Perfect Safaris, this time with our driver Joshua, who took us around Nairobi for an incredible day visiting Nairobi National Park, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre. Joshua was fantastic from start to finish. He was extremely polite, friendly and genuinely pleasant to spend the day with. He gave us a great insight into life in Nairobi and Kenya, helping us understand more about the city, the culture and the way of life here. What really stood out to us was Joshua himself. He was a wonderful reflection of the warm, joyful and welcoming nature we experienced throughout our time in Kenya. Nothing ever felt rushed, and he took his time to make sure we could properly enjoy each part of the day rather than simply moving us from one place to another. He was also incredibly helpful throughout the day and made everything feel relaxed and easy. After such a busy few days on safari, it was lovely to have someone like Joshua showing us around Nairobi at our own pace. A huge thank you to Joshua for helping make another brilliant day of our Kenyan adventure so memorable, and to Perfect Safaris for having such great people looking after their guests. 5 stars from us — highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kevin arrived at our residence on time exactly as he said, he transported us to the National Park, all entrances fees were included in our package, (remember to carry your passport). Our guide kept on touch with other guides so that any key sightings of animals on our wish list were located and we diverted to view them, Rhino and Lion. It was a perfect day out with souch to see We finished up at the Giraffe centre getting really close to feed them. Then lunch and our return back to Nairobi city centre. A perfect day, well organised and hosted.

Spent our first day in Nairobi with Perfect Safaris. Picked up by our friendly and very knowledgeable guide Samuel from our hotel at 6am, did a 3 hour safari in Nairobi National Park, saw lion, hippos, rhinos, giraffe and buffalo amongst the magnificent birds on display! Then visited David Sheldrick Orphanage which was excellent, 15 very cute baby elephants and one baby black rhino, they do such wonderful work protecting and nurturing them. Nice lunch stop followed by a visit to the Giraffe Centre to feed several giraffe. Dropped back at the hotel. All very smoothly run, great communication pre trip and on-going. Thoroughly recommend Perfect Safaris and our guide Samuel.

It’s been a wonderful safari with Samuel! We got to see so many animals, and he had a lot of knowledge of both the animals and the culture! Highly recommended! We had a 16 hours transit, so this was perfect!

The perfect day! We got to see more animals than in better known, larger parks, including a baby rhino. The giraffe centre was also quite an experience, cute and instructive. Our guide Samuel Maingi was so helpful and knowledgeable, as well as great at spotting animals. The restaurant we had lunch at was friendly and clean, serving very tasty local food. This was my second safari with perfect safari, and I would go back a third time if I were to return!

He was incredibly easy to work with and attentive to every detail, ensuring we felt comfortable and cared for throughout. The company itself was equally delightful—warm, responsive, and genuinely attuned to our needs. The tour was an unforgettable experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend them.

Great visit to both the elephant sanctuary and the giraffe centre followed by lunch at Carnivore. Isaac was our host and he was very knowledgeable and friendly during our tour. There appeared to be a lot of miscommunication from the office everywhere we arrived mainly regarding payments but Isaac sorted them out quickly and professionally. We had a private tour and we would definitely recommend this as we could do everything at a pace we enjoyed. The giraffe centre gets very busy so recommend getting there as early as possible for that.

We spent our last half day before leaving Nairobi to visit the park - great experience to wrap up our trip as we saw so many rhinos from so close-by! Our driver and guide Festus Kazungu was great - he picked us up from our hotel 530am so we could start the tour when the park opened. He was really funny, knowledgeable and awesome at storytelling - we learned a lot from him about the animals! There were so many rhinos in action that we could observe them very close by which I only dreamed of. Highly recommend when you want to visit the park - so close to the city so can visit when you only have a short time left yet see amazing animals !

I had an amazing day exploring Nairobi National Park and the Giraffe Centre with Festus. Immediately after booking, Festus contacted me suggesting an earlier start time, better for spotting the wildlife. I was arriving that morning and unable to meet earlier, but appreciated his suggestion. Festus picked me up from my hotel & was friendly, attentive, and full of knowledge, making the entire tour fun, educational, and adventurous! During the park tour, he guided me to spot lions, giraffes, and other wildlife, providing interesting insights along the way. Traveling with Festus made the day safe, relaxed, and truly memorable. The highlight of the day was seeing the lions & zebras at the park. Followed by visiting the Giraffe Centre and feeding the giraffes- such an unforgettable experience! We enjoyed the tour very much! Our knowledge guide Festus Kazungu managed to spot animals from far away and we saw everything we wanted to see and more! The organisers let us start with the park and choose a time that was convenient for us. This is a great day out! Highly recommend.

This was a private tour for 2 people and it was amazing from start to finish. There was communication from the time I booked the tour, the guide Festus reminding us of pick up time the day before. Festus our tour guide was so very knowledgeable on the drive. He has a wealth of information to share about the animals which was very helpful. He was very kind and flexible with the day as well. The city safari was great. Kazungu communicated clearly the day before and picked us up on time, starting a 7-8 hour trip with great explanations and too many animals to name, including lions. The giraffe center was worth it as well. Kazungu is kind, knowledgeable, and shows how much he loves the animals. Highly recommend the tour.

Fabulous trip for about 4.5 hours into Nairobi National Park. What a joy, White Rhino herd, lion, gazelle, antelope, crocodiles, hippo, giraffe 🦒, birds Superb Starling, sparrow weaver, gush eagle, many many more. Festus Kazungu was a great guide and sport. Thanks

I had an amazing layover tour in Nairobi, visiting Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Centre. Everything went smoothly and was so well-organized. Shoutout to my guide, Festus Kazungu. He picked me up from airport and we went straight into the game drive. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts about the park, giraffe centre and the wildlife It was a unique and unforgettable experience Festus made sure I got back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. If you have a layover in Nairobi, I highly recommend this tour, it’s the perfect way to make the most of your time!

An amazing sunrise 3 hour tour! The booking was very easy, I was met at my hotel on time with my tour guide, Festivus. He was very knowledgeable of the park and the animals.

I enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Centre. Festus Kazungu was my driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable about the park itself and also the animals. The tour was relaxed yet purposeful and I saw more animals than I thought I would thanks to Festus who seemed to know where they might be and was able to manoeuvre the vehicle to get excellent photos. A thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

We were looking for a Nairobi experience for our last day in Kenya and were able to book the Sheldrick Elephant Rescue, the Giraffe Center, a stop at Kobetough ( unfortunately, we left our souvenir clay animals in the car 😢) and lunch at Carnivore. Stephen, our guide, and our driver, Dennis, arrived promptly at our hotel. Stephen made sure we had a full day of experiences and is an excellent guide. We highly recommend.

Kevin was an awesome tour guide he made sure we saw the lions no matter what before we left the park. Our pick up time was 6am he was early and prepared. Would highly recommend

This was a wonderful experience with Albert our driver and tour guide. I was surprised by the landscape and the variety of animals we saw! The Sheldrick Conservancy and the Giraffe Center Nairobi were both fun and educational. Albert lead the tour with both knowledge and fun!

My sister and I had a fantastic time exploring Nairobi with Mr. Festus Kazungu. While we initially planned to visit the National Park and the Giraffe Center, we were delighted to also tour the Kobe bead-making factory. From our 6 AM hotel pickup to the 3 PM airport drop-off, Mr. Festus engaged us throughout the trip, making it one of the best experiences we've had in Kenya. I won’t go into detail about the activities to avoid spoilers, but I highly recommend this experience. If possible, request Mr. Festus—I know I’ll be doing just that on my next visit to Nairobi!

Kazungu was amazing! He did not stop until we saw the lion S he knew that was my husband’s favorite animal and boy did we see the lion. He even through in an extra treat! Thanks for everything

The day tour to Nairobi National park and Giraffe centre was such an amazing experience. Our driver and tour guide 'Festus Kazungu' was super friendly, entertaining and accomodating. He made sure we saw all the animals as close as possible, taking amazing photos and videos and providing us with lots of great information about the animals. He added a few stops to our trip when he found out we were free for the day taking us to the beeds centre and Art Gallery which were great places to get souvenirs and enjoy African crafts and arts. He even taught us a few Kenyan words. Thank you so much Festus. We had a great time Asante Sana 😊 I highly recommend.

Celestine is the perfect guide! Friendly and knowledgeable, willing to answer all of your questions, patient, and an excellent photographer for those traveling solo. It was clear Celestine is well known and trusted, even knowing who to bring around to give me extra information and a more personal experience. We also stopped at a local spot to grab lunch on the way back to the hotel. I learned a ton, had a great day, and made fantastic memories!

We had an amazing time on our day trip with Isaac today. The Elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary were really nice experiences. Getting up close with the animals was fantastic. The restaurant as well was brilliant

Issac was a rock star! Very accommodating and very informative throughout the tour. Thoroughly enjoyed the Blixen museum and spent a wonderful time at the giraffe center. Loved meeting all of the women at the bead factory! Enjoyed a little shopping and especially enjoyed some time with Issac. Great tour! 👍

This was the most amazing tour with a day at the Nairobi National Park and visit to the giraffe center. Black Santa was such a wonderful guide and host! He was witty and fun, and so knowledgeable about the animals and made sure we saw lots of wildlife!. If you travel to Nairobi, don’t miss including this as part of your trip! It was AWESOME!!

Black Santa was our guide to tour Nairobi National Park. He arrived early and was waiting for us at the scheduled pick up time from our Airbnb. The vehicle was clean and had a pop up roof allowing you to stand and see amazing views during the trip. The guide was so knowledgeable about the park and the animals we encountered. Best of all, he was very friendly and personable. Seriously one of the best guides I have ever had, ask for Black Santa! This trip was well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect Safaris Kenya was able to change my reservation to the safari tour in Nairobi National Park and it exceeded expectations. My guide George has been doing this for 16 years so knew how to find the animals in the huge park. We saw everything except leopard and cheetah which are few in number and elusive. I highly recommend this tour company and George. Exceptional!

I had a superday with George @ Perfect Safari, who promised me (following a beautiful visit to Amboseli Park) that I would see rhinos on the Sunday. Unfortunately we we're unlucky, but George picked us up on early Monday morning and delivered the amazing Rhinos! The the day was so good that I brought some other colleagues to the same Nairobi Park + Giraffe Center + Elephant orphange on the Fri! To sum up in two words: GREAT EXPERIENCE!

We booked for 8 am but agreed to a suggested change to 6 am. We were picked up promptly on time by our guide Albert in a 4WD. We were quite lucky because within 5 minutes of entering the Nairobi National Park we witnessed an interaction between a few buffalo and a pair of lionesses. After that we were able to see quite a few animals - more lionesses and a lion, giraffes, jackals, hippos, a crocodile, multiple types of antelope and rhinos. There are no elephant in this park - it's too small to sustain them. After about 3 hours or so, we headed to the Giraffe Centre - nothing too interesting here, and then the Elephant Orphanage, which was enjoyable. The young elephants are full of energy and have great personalities. Albert was a great guide - excellent eyes for spotting wildlife, great knowledge about the animals, and a friendly guy overall

This was a perfect day trip if you don’t have a full day to go to the National park or a great complement to a trip to the National park the following day. We did the later and I am so happy we did both. It was a completely different setting, giving a more complete look into Nairobi. Our guide George was a 10/10, truly exceptional. You could feel the love for what he does in his attention to detail, story telling, and sense of humor. Having him as our guide really elevated our experience and made it another unforgettable day.

I just completed a one day tour(Giraffe center+elephant orphanage+Nairobi Nat. Park game drive) with Perfect Safaris. I chose them following the good reviews I saw here and I can say they deserve all the credit. The company got in touch with me a few days in advance to my tour and made sure of all the logistics. The tour itself was so smooth and fun, thanks to my guide George! I learnt a lot from him about the culture, the community and of course about the animals. He always managed to find the perfect spot and showed me the big 3 and many others, though we did the game drive in the afternoon (There are no elephants in the national park and leopards are so rare. So 3 out of 4 is a big success). All in all, if you have limited time and want to squeeze everything in one day(inc. super local foods), Perfect Safaris is a great option. Excellent! Highly recommend this tour. Our guide. Albert, was personable, accommodating and knowledgeable. Early in the morning in the national park we saw all the animals including lions. Don’t miss the baby elephant sanctuary or the giraffe center. I would do this tour again! Thank you Albert!

This was a 5 star tour, from prompt pickup to safe return. Our guide, George, knows all the right people which got us to the front of the line at the elephant sanctuary and front row location for touches and pictures. He gave us all the time we needed at all stops. He was great.
