Day Tour To Mount Longonot National Park & Lake Naivasha

Mount Longonot National Park is really worth a visit. Jimmy and Dominic, our friendly guides picked us up at the hotel right on time. The drive to Mount Longonot Park already offered great views in the second part before arriving at the National Park. The advice given, carrying at least 1.5 Liters of water per person is very helpful, more water and some fruit/power bars will make your trip even more pleasant. We saw Giraffes and other animals on our ascent. The views on ascent/descent and around the crater are truly superb, I really mean it. Some claim, the hike is very tough. My wife is turning 60 in a couple of days, is fit and not an athlete. It was a great and rewarding hike for both of us, Sometimes mild, sometimes though, low risk experience if you like mountain hiking. If you can run 5k, you can enjoy this tour. Views inside and outside the volcano are breathtaking. After lunch we arrived at lake Naivasha, a clean freshwater lake, seeing many animals including hippos. A++

Dominic and Jimmy were great guides. They were very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We had a beautiful hike up to the crater of Mt Longonot; the views from the rim were spectacular and ever-changing, definitely worth the climb. We then went for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and were treated to bird and hippo sightings. Would definitely recommend for a day trip from Nairobi.

I had a great day out with Jimmy to Mt Longonot and Lake Naivasha. He was a very knowledgeable guide, provided a lot of interesting information about the area, and has a great passion for the outdoors. I'd highly recommend him as a guide. Mt Longonot itself was extremely beautiful, and a great option for a day trip from Nairobi for those keen on the outdoors, especially when combined with the 1 hour boat safari on Lake Naivasha.

I did this as my first day in Nairobi. It was wonderful! Jimmy was an excellent driver, arrived on time and had some great insight to Kenya. Felt very safe with him. The hike is great, really enjoyed it and felt super safe as a solo female traveler throughout the day. There ended up being two others on my tour which was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area!! Both the hike and lake were amazing and super fun.

It was an amazing experience. The guide Dominic was super sweet and i could hike on my own pace. Usually the hike is done in 5 hours but i could take as long as i wanted

I had a great day with Mr. Paul at the Mount Longonot and the lake Naivasha. The organization went smoothly and Paul was very punctual and knowledgeable about the places we were passing. I had a local guide to hike up Longonot and would not have made it without his help. Going down is pretty challenging and make sure to carry enough water (I had just over one little - not enough). The lake itself was a relaxing experience even though I am not a fan of animals in general. Highly recommend if you like the outdoors and nature!

Excellent experience with Mr Jimmy. We had an amazing drive to and from Mount Longonot. Very amenable to our needs as a family and a great source of conversation. We hiked to the crater summit as a foursome with his colleague, and then my son and I walked the whole loop to get to the peak. WOW! For reference my son is 10 and he handled it very well with the excellence of our guide, who took my son’s pace and remained encouraging throughout. We were tired at the end of that to attempt the Lake trip so headed back to the hotel. This trip was so easy with pickup and dropoff - I’d highly recommend. So thankful for this incredible experience with many thanks again to our wonderful guides.

I had an unforgettable hiking experience with Mr. Jimmy and Mr. Domenic. Climbing to the crater was slightly tough, but the views from the top made it worth the effort. On our way up we saw many wild animals like zebras, gazelles, and wild birds. Mr. Davide, the boat navigator at Lake Naivasha, was amazing; he turned the boat ride into an amazing one.

It was an amazing hike; I enjoyed every moment despite it being a little bit tough. Mr. Jimmy was an amazing driver and an awesome guide too. He turned the long road trip all the way to the hiking spot into an enjoyable experience with his interesting conversations. Mr. Dominic, our hiking guide, was amazing too; he was patient and sympathetic with my pace of walking all the way to the crater. Mr. David, the boat navigator, turned the boat ride into an enjoyable one, and he tried his best to show as many animals and birds as he could. I totally recommend Mr. Jimmy, Mr. Dominic, and Mr. David. I would like to thank them all for turning this experience into an unforgettable one.

Great guides! Great day! Both guides had great energy and were super knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the hike. It was challenging at some parts, but seeing and hiking around the crater was worth it. Lake Naivasha was equally as impressive. Crescent island was so peaceful to see by boat. Would book with this company again for another tour!

Had a really great day. The hike was beatifull and so was the boat trip. Saw zebra's, hippo s, a lot of birds, but especially a very beautiful landscape. Dominic and Jimmy are good guides and nice company. Had some good laughs with them.

Jimmy and Dominic were two super guide and driver. They taught us a lot of things about the Mount Longonot, Kenya and people. The hike was very great, with amazing landscapes. Then we did a boat trip of an hour on Lake Naivasha, we saw a lot of hippos and beautiful birds. Huge thanks to Jimmy and Dominic who were very friendly and sympatic.

All in all nice daytrip, The hike took us around 6h with breaks and was worth to start early in the morning, so everything was still quite :) Afternoon boat ride at lake Naivasha is a must do, saw (baby) hippos, the amazing Crescent island and a lot of pelicans.. Jimmy and Dominic been pretty nice guides and drivers, thank you for this experience!

a great daying hiking Mt Longonot. It's about 5.5 hours up, around the crater rim and back down, so it was a good workout. Our guide, Mr Dominic and driver Mr Jimmy made the trip a lot of fun.

This is a wonderful mountain to climb. The view of the caldera and from the summit is just spectacular. The climb is doable, though not at all a leisure hike. You do need some level of physical fitness. It can get really hot towards noon also, so gear up with your hat and sunscreen etc. The driver Jimmy and guide Dominic were great. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Dominic also took very nice photos of me up at the summit. They attended to my needs carefully and made me feel comfortable throughout. The booking process was smooth and seamless, and the price is reasonable (one of the lowest I saw).

Betty was great in organizing our Mt. Longonot climbing tour. We requested a later start time to better fit our schedule, and she handled the adjustments seamlessly. Jimmy, our driver for the day, was as delightful. His friendly demeanor and engaging conversation made the drive enjoyable and set a positive tone for the adventure ahead. Upon arrival at Mt. Longonot, we began our climb with plenty of time to take in the stunning views along the way. We did feel the altitude as we climb, but walked at our own pace to reach the top. (The start point is higher than Ben Nevis, and the 400 meters climb from there!) The trail was challenging yet rewarding, offering panoramic vistas and a true sense of accomplishment as we reached the crater rim. Jimmy was ready for us when we returned, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey back. The entire experience was well-organized and thoroughly enjoyable.

Amazing Mount Longonot Adventure with Mr. Peter and Geoffrey! Our trip to Mount Longonot was absolutely fantastic! We were picked up by Mr. Peter, a knowledgeable and hilarious guide who made the journey a joy. At Mount Longonot, we met Geoffrey, our calm and capable guide. Since it was a weekday and we’re quite sporty, we had the mountain all to ourselves and powered up the trail in no time. The real thrill came when we hiked down into the crater—a challenge we’d only recommend for the physically fit—but wow, was it worth it! So much fun! Geoffrey's keen eye spotted giraffes, impalas, and zebras as we descended, giving us an incredible close-up view of these majestic animals. After our climb, we enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where we watched baby hippos play. A truly lovely day from start to finish!

We booked overnight Amboseli National Park safari with excellent games potting adventures.My friends and I had such an amazing tour. Great view of Kilimanjaro and herds of elephants .
