Day Tour To Maasai Mara Reserve & Optional Maasai Village Visit

A phenomenal experience! Patrick was assigned as my guide and contacted me the evening before to introduce himself and confirm pick up time. At all times he was welcoming and helpful and made both the drive to and from the hotel and the entire day a fun and enjoyable experience, explaining how the day will progress and giving information about the area and what to expect. We were exceptionally lucky to see all of the Big 5 in one day so a huge thank you to Patrick and our Maasi driver/guide inside the park whose efforts made that possible. I would book again without hesitation. Key information to note. It is a very long day. We left the hotel at 4am as the drive from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara is approximately 4 hours and returned to the hotel at 7:30pm but worth every second!! There is no guarantee that you will see all of the animals you want to see. The guides will do their very best, and on the day we were exceptionally lucky to see the big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo) but the area is vast and the animals are wild after all. Our Safari vehicle did have a charging station with USB A slots and 3 pin/ 2 pin sockets I did not test them so can not confirm if they worked to charge devices/ camera batteries or if that is standard in all Safari vehicles. Over all, a truly breathtaking experience, and one a cannot thank Patrick enough for guiding me on.

Amazing Maasai Mara Experience We had an incredible Maasai Mara tour with Mr. Joash! He was right on time for our early pickup and was extremely flexible and accommodating with the extra needs we had along the way. Jacob, our tour guide through the park, did a wonderful job explaining everything we saw and making the experience both enjoyable and informative. We were able to see everything we had hoped for—including the incredible wildebeest migration as they made their way back toward Tanzania! The entire experience was amazing, and we truly appreciated the professionalism, flexibility, and knowledge of the team. Our Maasai Mara adventure was honestly one of the highlights of our Kenya holiday! From start to finish, it was such an incredible experience, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Sammy was incredibly knowledgeable about the Mara, the animals, and, most importantly, exactly where to find them. Thanks to his expertise, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five, which was such an amazing experience. The lion experience in particular completely sealed the deal for me. Seeing the lions up close in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking and easily one of my favourite moments of the entire holiday. My daughter also had an epic time! Watching her excitement throughout the safari and seeing her experience these incredible animals up close made the trip even more special for me. Patrick was also an excellent driver. Very patient, professional and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the ride to and fro the hotel. Overall, this was an experience we will never forget. We had an incredible experience on our Maasai Mara trip, all thanks to our amazing guide, Joash. From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Traveling with a group of friends, we appreciated how he made the journey both fun and seamless. Joash has an impressive understanding of the wildlife and the ecosystem, and he made sure we didn’t miss any of the highlights. His sharp eye helped us spot animals we would have easily overlooked, and he always positioned us perfectly for the best views and photos.

My tour to the Maasai Masa game reserve was amazing from start to finish. Patrick was my driver and picked me up from my Hotel on time. Throughout the trip he was very knowledgeable about the area and shared the history of landmarks and roads we traveled. He knows the roads very well so we arrived on time and safely. Daniel was my tour guide and he was great! He went above and beyond to make sure I saw all the animals up close. I highly recommend Patrick and Daniel if you want a fun, safe and exciting tour of the Maasai Masa!

Such a great experience, we saw so many things in the short time we were there! It's an early morning and a lot of driving, but so worth it. Patrick picked us up and was a great driver. He was very pleasant to chat with, and has a great sense of humor! He knew the best spots to stop for bathroom breaks and coffee. Once at the park, Daniel was by far the best safari driver I've ever had. He was able to get extremely close to the animals and was very, very knowledgeable about the park, the species, and the individual animals - he knew the life stories of many of the lions! He knew the best places to see most of the animals and the best spots for photos. We saw a ton of zebras and wildebeests in addition to elephants, giraffes, hyaenas, African buffalo, ostriches, mongooses, hippos, baboons, several cheetahs, and many, many lions. On the way back to Nairobi, Patrick was again excellent. He offered to stop at several other spots on the way (Maasai village and the place to do some shopping). We did unfortunately hit some traffic on the way back but Patrick did the best he could to get us back safely and with the least delay. It was certainly an expereince but we felt safe with him driving. Overall, I could not recommend this trip more, it was the most enjoyable day trip safari I've ever done, very much worth the time and cost!

It’s a very long and exciting day. I brought my own water and my own snacks. The driver Patrick was great and on time, he took us to and from the park. Sammy was the driver in the park and he was very friendly and knowledgeable, he made sure we saw all that there was to see.

I've been to Masai Mara, prior to this trip, however, my wife has never been. While we were tight on time, we happened to find this activity and it was very much worth it. Patrick did a great job getting us to Masai Mara safely and on time and Sammy was a great tour guide during the safari. In the one day we were able to see 4 of the big 5 (no rhinos). Regardless, it was a great activity and for those short on time, this is a perfect activity to experience Masai Mara.

The day trip to Maasai Mara went well! We weren’t sure if this was doable as most people said it’s hard to do Maasai Mara in one day. But this worked out very well. We were taken in an AC car to Maasai Mara by Patrick who was super knowledgeable and helpful! Once we were there we moved to an open safari jeep with a Maasai driver and went to explore the park! We saw all the animals we sought out to see. I wish we could’ve seen the Maasai river but overall we saw lots of lions and even leopards. For us it didn’t feel rushed and the 8 hours in the park really gave us a good feel for Maasai Mara. I would recommend this trip if you are tight on time or budget as you can see lots within the 8 hours! The drive back with Patrick again and we saw the sunset at the great rift valley viewpoint which was stunning!

It is really a nice experience with African Beast Safari. Patrick was the guy who take us to the Gate of Masamara then Daniel took us into the Masaimara for the Game dive and show us all of them. We really enjoyed the game dive. It was a day trip from Nairobi to Masaimara National Park. Thank you African Beast.

This tour was the absolute highlight of my 2 day Nairobi stopover. My driver Joash was proactive in suggesting an earlier start time. In so doing, we avoided not only the Nairobi traffic but also bigger crowds at Masai Mara. I had the most perfect Kenyan day and Joash was there to help me make the most of it. He paced the drive between Nairobi and MM so that it was comfortable despite being long. The guides at Masai Mara were also very good. If you can't spend multiple days at MM, this tour is so, so perfect for you.

Daniel is a great tour guide. We started the day slow, but Daniel never gave up on finding large cats. He got us cheetahs, leopard (very rare to see the whole leopards), lions and wild cats. We even saw the leopard jumped on the tree and the wild cat hunted a rat. Very very impressive.

An extraordinary tour, i saw all the big five in only one day tour! Lions, leopard, big herds of buffaloes, elephants, and luckily i saw FOUR RHINOS! Such an incredible coincidence, i didn’t believe i can see them in just that short period of time. Everything was perfect. I had a very nice experience with this tour. They were such a helpful and lovely men, they explained every part of the trip and every place we passed by thoroughly and gave me alot of precious advices regarding my tour. We had an outstanding experience on this tour and saw so many different animals due to the migration. Patrick was incredibly friendly and welcoming, he transferred us from Nairobi to the game reserve. Jacob was our guide and gave us the best views of the animals in the reserve. The one day tour of Maasai Mara was fantastic! While it was an early start, the day moved seamlessly, thanks to Patrick, our driver from Nairobi to Maasai, and Daniel, who was our guide throughout the park. Patrick provided excellent communication, and was timely with the arranged pick-up. He provided excellent insight as we traveled to Maasai Mara, and he provided time to get a coffee, midway. Patrick took care of all the details, so all we needed to do was enjoy! On the way back, he provided an opportunity to visit a Maasai village and do some shopping for souvenirs. We also appreciated that he was aware of traffic and used alternate routes when necessary. We enjoyed Patrick’s pleasant disposition and knowledge of the area. Daniel, our guide, provided numerous opportunities to see the many animals, including lion, wildebeest, elephant, giraffe, and many more, with the highlight being able to see a cheetah with a recent kill. A delicious picnic lunch was also included, as well. We highly recommend African Beast, and be sure to ask for Patrick and Daniel.

My experience was a thrill! Decided to do a day trip because I wasn’t in Nairobi for long, but trust me with a good guide you don’t need more than a day. Long day, but absolutely worth it and no regrets! First the biggest shout out to Patrick my driver from Nairobi and Jacob my guide inside the Masai Mara. Such wonderful drivers and pleasant people. Patrick picked me up in a sedan by 4.30am so we were able to get to the park by 8am and have a full day of sights. It was the best decision to leave that early as there was barely traffic. Yes it was safe. I totally enjoyed my time at the park. I saw the big 6 and some more! Jacob ensured I enjoyed every bit of it and I’m so grateful to both of them. Jacob was amazing at maneuvering the roads so we never got stuck and timing the different animals so we were at the right place to catch the action, he is a masterclass in his own right. If you’re considering it just do it, you won’t regret! Only thing I’ll caution is to bring a mask. I got so much dust and sand inhaled.

Absolutely incredible experience, really life-changing. We saw every one of the big five, also saw cheetahs, hyenas, gazelle, zebras, hippopotamus, crocodile. One of my favorite tours I’ve ever done in my whole life, and I would recommend it without hesitation to any family member or friend. Jafar, PATRICK, and James became my absolute best friends and only 14 hours.

I had Patrick as my guide, who picked me up from my hotel, and Daniel was our driver at the reserve. I was very lucky to have these two really smart people accompany me for this trip. Daniel clearly knows his way around the reserve, and I could see all the wildlife as soon as I entered through the gates. The trip's highlight was witnessing 2 packs of female lions hunt down a Pumba (warthog) each. These two hunts happened within a few minutes of each other, and Daniel expertly drove to get me into a prime viewing position within a few feet of the lions. I was able to see and enjoy the various wildlife at the reserve. Patrick was helpful throughout, explained everything thoroughly, and made sure I got the money's worth of the trip. Not to forget his driving skills, navigating through crazy traffic safely, getting me to and back from the reserve. He provided numerous tips and anecdotes and was definitely great company during the trip. I would highly recommend them both for your next adventure. If you are short on time, this one-day trip is what you need to experience the essence of Masai Mara.

It was a great day trip to Masai Mara. Patrick drove us from Nairobi and was extremely friendly and had a wide knowledge base. Daniel was our driver in the reserve. He was knowledgeable and we managed to see four of the Big Five even though we spent about 5-6 hours in the park. We also saw quite a few cheetah up close! A long trip but well worth it, especially if you are pressed for time.

Patrick transported us from Nairobi to Masai Mara for our game drive. He was wonderful and shared interesting facts along the way as it is quite a drive to get there. Daniel, who drove us around in the park knew where all the great viewing spots were and within the first 5 minutes of entering the park we saw cheetah up close! Managed to see 4 of the big 5 all in just a few hours! These two gents were really great guides! We had an awesome experience!!

This was a misleading tour. I chose this pricey tour because it was meant to be private but it was not private. The drive to and from the park was private but then I was lumped in with a group for the safari. This is not what I signed up for and am Uber to the park would have been cheaper. I have travelled throughout the continent taking actual private tours and this is the first time this has happened.

Nathan and Joash were extremely nice and accommodating as they picked me up from my hotel. They helped make the 3.5-4 hour drive to the Masai Mara go by fast with good conversation. The two guides who took us to the park were also excellent! They got creative on getting closer to some of the animals and were great at tracking. Highly recommend.

We did the one day safari tour from Niarobi to Massai Mara National Reserve. It was a fantastic experience where we got to see the incredible wildlife and beauty of Kenya. Our tour guides Daniel and Patrick were fantastic. Would highly recommend this tour.

The trips were amazing very much a once in a lifetime experience. Very well organised. Our first driver Josh was very friendly and welcoming was very knowledgeable and really went that extra mile to make sure we was comfortable. We then arrived to change vehicles where we met our safari tour guide Daniel he was fun welcoming and made me feel very safe as I was a little apprehensive. His tour was amazing his knowledge of all the park and animals was outstanding really gave us in depth information and made it very fun. We got to see all the animals as promised by the tour Guide - Giraffes, Elephants, x5 Cheetahs, Lion and a lioness in mating, the migration of the zebras & wild beasts crocodiles and hippos it was truly amazing. They provided a lovely lunch with amazing scenery under a tree. The truck had charging ports and water. Defiantly highly recommend Thank You Josh & Daniel

I went on a tour with my wife and children. We were accompanied by a guide named Patrick, very competent and polite. Thanks to his great sense of humor and delicate approach, we did not have time to get bored throughout the tour. I would like to separately mention the safari driver Jacob, a great professional. Thanks to him, we were able to see everything we expected from this trip from the best angles. If you are going to the Maasai Mara Park, I highly recommend these guys!
