I traveled to Alaska in August and part of September. I called the Enterprise Downtown in Anchorage to rent a large SUV beginning on September 1st - Called them one month before needed the SUV. Requested large SUV ( similar to Toyota RAV 4 ). There were 3 senior citizens on the trip - we had 6 large suitcases and 3 carryon bags! We were going to stay 2 weeks on Alaskan trip!!! Three days before I was to pick up my SUV, I called Enterprise to confirm SUV would be available, was told I would need to wait an hour on September 1st - vehicle not ready yet!! But.. told to come to site at 10:30am. Upon arrival I was told at least an hour because vehicle not ready yet. I reconfirmed a large SUV - they said did not have one! I explained we had 6 large suitcases and 3 carryon bags. Told the only vehicle would be a jeep - I was not pleased because there was a jeep onsite - I walked over and reconfirmed we needed large vehicle. Was told they had nothing larger available!! One staff member said they did not use RAV4 because it was difficult to start in Alaskan winters!! By now I had spent 2 hours waiting and we needed to leave Anchorage for Soldatna and our hotel! About 3 hour drive!! We were forced to accept the jeep - there was barely room for luggage plus 3 people!! Person in back seat had knees almost up to his chest!! I have rented from Enterprise for years but this experience changed my mind!!!

George was a delightful companion driver. He had to wait a long time for me to do my arrival visa, he was gracious and kind. I had no real plans for my layover, except for a National Park drive, he made sure to fulfil my requests, a Kenyan lunch, a walk around the city, he helped make sure I went to a currency exchange shop, waited for me to finish my park tour and delivered me back to the airport in time. I really enjoyed my afternoon with George, he gave me a lot of insight into Kenyan culture. I am so glad I had him as my guide and companion.

We had a great and funny day with George, who was our driver. It was our first vacation day and it could not have been better. He showed us nice places and we learned about Namibia. We can recommend this activity, as it's very relaxing and you can decide shorthand what to do. Thank you George! :-)

Jidraf was great. He sent a WhatsApp in advance to confirm exact pickup arrangements, then was there promptly to greet us. The vehicle was in good condition, his driving was careful and he drove our family around various sites in Nairobi at our request, providing us with loads of historical facts and interesting anecdotes along the way and waiting for us patiently, when required. We had a wonderful day. Our driver took us all out stops: giraffe center, bead factory lunch and Bomas of kenya. He had a great personality, provided us with a little tour as we drove. We learned a lot about Kenya and we would book with him again.

We utilized East Africa Shuttles & Safaris to arrange transport between Nairobi and Naivasha for 35 people for a conference with both international and Kenyan attendees. Around 12 participants arrived at both airports at various times throughout a span of a few days and needed immediate pick up, while others were picked up a meeting spot in the city center. This was about 17 different trips in total. We created a complex spreadsheet on our end to coordinate. Chris and his team of drivers were very professional and kept in constant contact. They did not make any mistakes, and were at the airport to greet every arriving participant as planned. They were very organized and we didn't need to worry much about transportation. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others, and would utilize their services again.

Philip was our driver for the day and he was outstanding. He arrived 30 mins earlier than prearranged, asked us what our plans were, made some recommendations, and was overall very knowledgeable about Nairobi. I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Gabriel was an excellent driver and knew where everything was located. Feeding the giraffes was the highlight and a wonderful experience. Being educated by the guide of how the giraffes are transported back into the wild at a certain age.

My husband and I decided not to go any full day tours as there were some places that we wanted to visit in Nairobi and only had one day to it. We hear all kinds of stories about Uber service there so we were so glad that we decided on hiring a private driver for the day. David was super nice and became out tour guide of sorts. He navigated the notorious Nairobi traffic extremely well IMO and drove by historical sites and landmarks enroute to our next destination around the city. If you want your own day around Nairobi without a set itinerary of a day, hire a private driver!

Jiddah was outstanding. He picked us up on time took us to church waited for us took us on a tour of the downtown area. Took us to Museum and finally took us to a restaurant and had lunch with us. He has a great personality with some great stories, and it’s very knowledgeable of the area. I highly recommend him.

I hired this company the day before and at 6:15 am I received an email stating I canceled the booking. Totally untrue and I lost money for paid entrance fees that I could not get to. This company had no regard for our vacation and this made our day a disaster. Do not use this company if you value your time and have plans. This time we flew into George and picked up our 10-week car rental at Tempest (they work with Europcar in SA). They gave us an upgrade, which for the longer period we were staying was most welcome. We have had no issues with them. Device was excellent, follow-ups every month and their efficient administration ensured that we got all our deposits back in a timely way.

In late December, we were in Nairobi for a few days prior to heading out to join a safari that began in Arusha, Tanzania. Our driver, David, provided professional assistance during our journey from Nairobi to Arusha, Kenya, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey between Kenya and Tanzania. He was very familiar with the process and very helpful with the border & immigration process. I hired a driver on January 5, 2024, for a 12-hour wait before our flight home. Jidraf, our driver that day, accommodated our specific requests and facilitated a solution to a hiccough we had in our plans. He shared fascinating insights into history, economics, culture, and animals, making the day very enjoyable and informative. We had a day in Nairobi before we headed out on a safari. We wanted to get transportation to and from a number of different locations (Giraffe Center, shops, etc) to visit and we figured this was going to be a better way to do it than to get taxis or Ubers all over. We had booked the reservation and had requested an 8 AM pick up but the default Tripadvisor timeframe is 6 AM, so our driver arrived at six just to be sure that we were taking care of. Gabreil, our driver was extremely knowledgeable about the area, drove as safely as possible in this area (if you haven’t been here, you’ll find out what I mean when you get here), I was extremely gracious throughout the entire trip. If you are thinking of driving on your own, and you have never driven here, I would HIGHLY recommend you do not do that. I have driven in foreign countries and this place is crazy. I would highly recommend having them drive you around town as opposed to trying to do it yourself or using taxis and Ubers. Overall, great experience.

Several months prior to our trip to Africa I found East Africa Shuttles online and corresponded with Chris. I booked and paid in advance for a private car and driver to take us from Nairobi to Arusha. This turned out to be a very good decision and certainly cheaper than flying. We had an excellent ride to Arusha with our driver David, who arrived at our Nairobi hotel promptly, actually a bit early even. He drove with great care, and calmly negotiated the Nairobi traffic chaos for the first hour. Once on the open road he drove very smoothly and we enjoyed seeing southern Kenya with no anxiety at all. It’s a long drive, about five hours, but in complete comfort. David was good company and we learned a lot about Tanzania and Kenya from him. The border crossing went very smoothly and we stopped for lunch at Namanga, as arranged, and arrived safely at our hotel in Arusha. We can certainly recommend David, and East Africa Shuttles for a safe transfer.

Jid was a great driver and guide for the day. Gave me some great advice and lots of info and history on Kenya and Nairobi. Emma in the office was good with communication and even made the reservation at Carnivore for me. I saw everything I wanted and more.

This was our first day in Nairobi after 20 hours of travel the day before. Jidraf contacted me and was waiting at the time he suggested to be on time for the elephant orphanage. He guided us through the lines. I asked him to find a traditional restaurant for lunch and we invited him to join us. He suggested some great Kenyan dishes. Best of all he went with us to a market and was our bargaining tutor! Jidraf was our Kenyan encyclopedia for the whole day. Viator with a driver is the only way to see Nairobi! It’s also a great value.

If you visiting Nairobi this is the ONLY way to go. Gabriel contacted me the day before, was waiting right on time and spent the day with us. He shared his knowledge of Kenya past and present. We were on time everywhere. He helped us plan our day to make the most of the day. Plus Viator, as usual, is a great value.

He suggested a lunch spot with Kenyan food for us that we really enjoyed. Driver did not show for the ride. No phone call no email. I had only two days in Nairobi and luckily the guide I met the day before was able to recommend someone last minute, otherwise the day would be completely wasted.

Ive just returned to Kampala from 6 days in Nairobi where my PA and I had the most amazing services from our Kenyan driver, Michael (+254 720 369 477 - he has WhatsApp on this no.). Nothing was a problem to him. Michael greeted us at the airport and was helpful and delightful from the commencement of our time with him until the end. He is a proud Kenyan and is very knowledgable about his country. We went to the Nairobi National Game Park with him and spent a wonderful 5 hours seeking out game. He was tenacious about finding just the right spots. If people fall for the trap of going with organised tours of the park, their time is limited but going with Michael we could spend as long as we wanted. He was amazing at interpreting our requests for things to do and came up with wonderful suggestions about what to do and see when. I would have no hesitation in recommending Michael's services to anyone and will definitely use him again.

I got a referral about Tony in Nairobi from Trip Advisor. I followed the recommendations and yes tony is the best. I felt safe to leave the driving in his hands. My go to for airport pickup and driving around Nairobi. Trust me you do not want to do you own driving in Kenya please leave it to the locals. Tony is Reliable and affordable in his RAV4. Highly recommended this tour service as I think they are the best.From Mr. Chris to Mr Ben our driver our guide they are the best.We book them from India and trusted them for everything Mr. Chris helped me from the beginning to the end gave me a good iteinery as we were travelling first time to East Africa. We are a family of our four with two teenage kids all of us enjoyed with Mr. Ben who was like our family member he had a vast knowledge about everything and took us right next to the animals helped us for groceries sometimes when we needed them ,medicines etc. Very patience and jolly natured made us laugh along the way .Sometimes when we forgotten our bag he took the car right inside the muddy path again without hesitating.
