Being able to see Mt. Kilimanjaro is definitely worth the trip to this park. Be prepared though for the bumpiest roads of all. The bruises sustained from all the bouncing around were all earned!

Peter was a very knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic guide on our Amboseli Day Tour from Nairobi. He made the trip enjoyable from start to finish, shared lots of interesting information, and brought great energy throughout the day. Highly recommended!
I did a private day tour to Amboseli Park, starting from Nairobi. My tourguide picked me up on time and was very professional. He could deliver me all the information about the animals and could answer all my questions during the tour. I could learn so much from the tour. It was very enjoyable. I can recommand this tour to 100%. Thank you again for this great experience!
Amazing trip with Mr.Peter, we have quite nice day, hope that we can come to see you soon. We saw so many animals included cheetah,Lion,Gnu, elephant, hippo, giraffes and others.
Peter was the best tour guide! He gave us a lot of information on Kenya, Nairobi, amboselli, and on the animals we saw. He also tailored the itinerary to our interests, which was to do the game drive as long as possible. We got to see cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, hippos, water buffalos, wildebeests, and more! This tour is definitely worth doing if you have a day in Nairobi.
The Amboseli Day Tour was absolutely amazing! Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, and I only managed to catch a glimpse of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro due to the clouds, the experience was still unforgettable. The sight of the mountain’s snow-capped peak just poking through the clouds was stunning, and I can only imagine how breathtaking it would be on a clearer day! The game drive itself was a fantastic adventure. The park’s wildlife didn’t disappoint, and I saw plenty of elephants, zebras, and giraffes in their natural habitat. Despite the cloud cover, the day was still filled with excitement and beauty. One of the highlights was being taken to a Maasai community, where I got an insight into their way of life and traditions. It was an eye-opening experience and a great addition to the tour. Peter’s enthusiasm and insightful commentary made it feel like a truly special day. Overall, this tour was an unforgettable experience, and I’d highly recommend it.
I was born in Amboseli and always organise Maasai cultural tours from Diani Beach to Amboseli to give the clients First hand Amboseli sepecial tour that will leave them with unfortable experience I have had friend visiting in 2024 and they enjoyed thrir stay touched the hearts of the Children of Amboseli with thier gratidute.
What an amazing experience. I was collected promptly at 4:15 in the morning by Peter and he was really welcoming and instantly made me feel at ease. He's a great guide and looked after us for the whole journey, really knowledgeable and good company. Arrived promptly and we had some excellent encounters with 3 of the big 5. Highly recommended, request Peter if you can.
Outstanding guide and incredible experience. Elephant population is fascinating. Highly recommended.
This tour was awesome and well coordinated and organized. At every step I knew what the next step was, great communication. My tour guide Evans was the kindest person I have ever met and he was dedicated to ensuring I have the best experience. From the snacks he provided to checking in to ensure that the tour goes according to my preferences and bucket list to him going the extra mile and sticking with me to ensure that I eventually get to see Kilimanjaro even though it was a cloudy day. I really appreciate his commitment to providing the best service and his professionalism. I say don't hesitate, book the tour and I hope you get Evans as a guide, you will be well taken care of!
Peter was a wonderful guide! We would highly recommend him. His expertise in showing us and explaining the habits of the animals including elephants, zebras, hippos, giraffes to name a few and etc was exceptional. It was a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro was a plus. Our only concern was the price of lunch was pricey and an unexpected expense ($100 US) for 2 buffet lunches and 2 drinks. Not sure if there were other options available. We also loved the stop at the Maasai village although it may not be for everyone.
We had a fantastic day out with Wasili and our guide Peter. Communication was great prior to the trip, putting us at ease regarding pickups. Peter was an excellent host, safe driver, and informative tour guide. He made sure we were happy at all times and went to great lengths to maximise our experience. Amboseli is spectacular and well worth the drive. Thank you again!
Pickup was requested to be early at 4:30 to better see Kilimanjaro, so I woke up at 3:30 in my dorm room at a hostel. Nobody arrived until 5:30, leaving me standing by myself on a street in Nairobi in the cold and dark for an hour. The vehicle was far from the quality I was expecting given the price of the tour. It was old, squeaky, with stained fabric seats. My driver/guide apparently couldn’t find my location despite me sending it multiple times due to phone issues, so had to hire an Uber to lead him there after an hour of waiting. The Uber was much nicer than the tour van, and I was disappointed when it was the one that drove away. Julius, who arranged the tour, seemed nice, and the tour was mostly fine after that, but definitely not worth the price. If you’ve been on safari before, Amboseli likely won’t necessarily blow your mind. Kilimanjaro is the cool part, and what I didn’t know when booking is that there’s a fair chance you may not see it any given day due to clouds. However, if you do, it is well worth the trip - just be aware of the risk.
The very courteous driver/tour leader was polite, cheerful and very knowledgeable about the roads, safari park and most important had a wealth of knowledge about the wild animals. The one negative point was lack of air conditioning in the safari vehicle and was uncomfortable during the hot sunny day. The price excludes entry to the safari park and involves tons of hassle to buy the tickets online with many personal details
I wanted to see Mount Kilimanjaro ... from below, and I was lucky enough to see it for 20 minutes before it became cloudy. The animals in Amboseli Park are easy to get to and don't seem afraid by the proximity of tourists' 4x4s. Thank to my driver-guide Peter Njoroge for his enthusiasm in showing me the local wildlife and the local way of life and for his pleasant company on the 4-hour drive from Nairobi and back, as well as for his safe driving. I would highly recommend him. gl
Henry was great and I loved that he didn’t pressure me to do anything. He gave helpful tips and educated me on all the animals we were seeing. It was a ‘bad’ day and I still saw all kinds of animals.
We had a great trip to this amazing National park. Evan’s was a wonderful driver and guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and polite and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and could see as much of the wildlife as possible. Expect a long drive. Don’t expect to see the snow capped peak of mount Kilimanjaro or all the animals you want. You will see them if you are lucky and the chances vary with the seasons. We were very happy overall and would highly recommend this trip.
I loved the tour. Peter was so amicable, professional and knowledgeable about the wildlife, the Masai and the land. I learned a lot during the trip. It was so easy going and full of beauty! Grateful for this experience. Even though it was a single day trip, it was just right. Extra driving but a full experience of everything.
Our tour guide was Peter! He promptly picked us up at 4:30 AM at out hotel and we were on our way! We saw several animals including wildabeasts, birds, giraffes, elephants and more. Peter knew exactly where to take us and before we entered the park, we got photos of Kilamonjoro! It was breathtaking. Peter took his time listening to the types of animals we wanted to see and then took us to areas where he anticipated they would be. We did not see any big cats because they were not in the park at the time, but we enjoyed ourselves. The highlight of the tour was the Massai Village. The people were warm and the village leader Tui Tui was a delight! He showed us the Massai way of life and at the end you have the opportunity to support their village by purchasing their handmade items. It was so enriching and I'm so glad we had Peter there with us!
Excellent communication, fair price, guide arrived 10 min early, very knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. Would travel with them again
Well worth the money, drive & early morning. Expect to be picked up early to avoid the traffic on a 4 hour drive through interesting villages & landscapes. We were lucky enough to see Mount Kilimanjaro early in the morning when we arrived as it quickly clouded up & disappeared. What a sight to see with animals in the forefront. We saw so many different animals including giraffes, zebras, elephants, water buffalo, hippo, wildebeest, monkey & baboon, gazelles & impala, and so many birds due to the wetlands. Amazing views from the top of Observation Hill. Peter, our guide and driver, was incredible. So kind & knowledgeable about the country, the park, and the animals. We enjoyed a nice lunch in the park. Expect to pay an extra $60 each for park entrance online. The Masaai Village was interesting but also cost $20 each and they are very interested in making money & selling you their handicrafts at an extremely high price. I would recommend skipping it if you have no interest in being hassled for money unless you want to purchase their goods. Definitely bargain your price. A long day but incredible views & experience. Highly recommend. Water is provided but bring extra & sunscreen!
The driver/tour guide Peter was excellent. He had a vast knowledge, and could spot the animals from quite a distance. He spoke excellent English and was very helpful and suggestive. I would like to request the tour operator to consider offering One way trip from Nairobi to Mombasa via Amboseli National Park, and vice versa. That would serve a great tourist niche market.
The trip with Peter was very special, he is a professional at driving threw the kenyan traffic and has the eyes of an eagle to find every little animal in the National Park. From little bugs to birds to hidden cheetahs in the big grass he found everything. I really enjoyed my time and would totally recommmend this tour!
Clement was great! As a single female I was a little afraid to go by myself but Clement made me feel comfortable as soon as I stepped into the car. During the safari he positioned the car so that I could get the best pictures of the elephants and zebras (my focus). He pointed out the baby elephants because he knew I was especially interested in them and he pointed out the animals that he saw and I didn't. He was very patient and persistent in handling the entrance fee going into the park. They had a problem with my Visa card. I would highly recommend Clement and would want him again should I return to Kenya.
Absolutely stunning had Peter as my guide and driver. Excellent spotter and superb driver so many animals and huge variety of birds seen. Peter was extremely knowledgeable about all animals and birds. Still caught glimpses of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
This is the second trip I did with this company and I definitely recommend them. They picked me up at my hotel even though it was a bit out of the way. The driver guide Clemente was a real gentleman. He really seemed interested in getting the best for guests. The drive is long but the park is massive and worth the visit. The previous day I had done Nairobi National park and giraffe and Bomas an all day trip. Company kept me informed of all details of both trips each day. I cannot fault them. Recommend the company
We started the trip slightly early at 04:30, and it was a relief we did as Kilimanjaro disappeared by the time we got into the park, but thankfully we got some nice sights in the last hour of the drive down. The whole time on the park was out of this world. We had elephants and hyenas walk within 2 meters of the vehicle, and also got close encounters with giraffes, flamingos, hippos, wildebeest, buffalos, zebras, ostriches, warthog and an array of birds. We also stopped off at observation hill which gave stunning views of the whole park from above. We then stopped off for lunch in the park which was tasty. The highlight of the trip however, was Evans. He was so lovely, insightful, knowledgeable, he always got us close to the animals without encroaching into their space. Phenomenal day, thanks guys.
We had a great tour to the Amboseli. The tour driver/guide was professional, friendly and knowledgeable of the site history. The tour was value for money and I will definitely recommend to friends and family. Expedia delivered excellent options and tour operators that delivered the service excellence. Thanks to Kamau and Evans of WASILI Kenya Safari. You made my vacation enjoyable
Had a wonderful time with Evans (The Guide). Not only is he a friendly, open-minded and very welcoming person, he's also a safe driver and very knowledgeable about all the things in and around the park. I had a great time, was able to see the Kilimanjaro as well some amazing animals in the natural habitat such as Lions, Elephants, Hippo's and so on. The communication with both the organisation as the guide was clear and collaborative. In short, I highly recommend the trip and the organisation.
Amboseli park was incredible! We saw so many elephants, wildebeest, zebras and flamingos. We also saw hippos and lots of other animals. What we really liked about Amboseli is that it’s so flat, you get long distance views and you can see the animals in herds which feels like a more natural way to observe them. We did get close up to a number of animals too so we got some great photos. Peter was excellent , very friendly, knowledgable and patient - he made the experience very special. I suggest budgeting for a bigger tip for this trip. It is such a long day for the guide (who is also the driver) and Peter remained enthusiastic and patient throughout the day!
Beautiful park, where Peter was skilled at finding animals and answering questions. Communication leading up to the day was smooth and everything easy.
The tour is amazing, you get to see plenty of animals (elephants, zebras, even lions..), the ride was very nice, the Masai Village very interesting with possibility to buy some nice small souvenirs (remember to negotiate;) and bring some cash), the food for the lunch excellent (big choice of food.. ). Evans was very kind, we talked a lot, overall very beautiful experience. I am travelling alone and I had so much fun!
Had a full day tour of Amboseli National Park near the Kenya Tanzania border in June 2023. Saw elephants, warthogs, lions, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, and Mount Kilimanjaro. Went on the Observation Hill to get a lovely aerial view of the park. If you need to exclude the Maasai Village tour from the day trip, please let customers know before payment. Also ensure that the road is clear before overtaking on the motorway to minimise dangerous driving and reduce the risk of head on collisions.
First time visitor in Kenya. Had a good full day tour of Amboseli National Park near the Kenya-Tanzania border. Drove down with Mr Peter and saw elephants, zebras, impalas, hyenas, lions, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, wildebeests, flamingo birds, buffalos, and Mount Kilimanjaro. Tour firm needs to do Maasai Village tour as per itinerary.
The trip was a great experience. Amboseli Park is teeming with wildlife. We saw elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, hippo, baboons, buffaloes, etc. Our guide and driver Peter did an excellent job. The trip is definitely worth it.
Amboseli Park is incredible, we saw lions with their cubs, plenty elephants, ñu, cebras, giraffes, and with the amazing background of the Kilimanjaro always behind. All with the support of Wasily Kenya Safari and his excelent driver and guide Peter, always willing to make the most of it.
Absolutely amazing wildlife viewing in Amboseli National Park! What an awesome day and experience. Our guide Peter was a gem. I highly recommend this company and guide for a wonderful experience:)
The trip to Amboseli was so worth while! Peter was our guide and driver and he is such a professional. He’s knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Thank-you for a great day!
It was an amazing experience. The Drive to the National Park and back was great. Our Guide Peter was very friendly and did an awesome job. Great Activity!!
Peter, our tour guide, was the most amazing tour guide we'd had in our time in Nairobi. He is incredibly informative and thoughtful of what we wanted to see. Would highly recommend this tour, and consider yourself lucky if Peter is the tour guide!
Peter was the best. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. And being closer to me in age, it was great to get his perspective on things. We got to see a lot of animals, and birds in particular.
What an amazing trip! After a work-event colleague and I visited Amboseli National Park. We left at 5am and Peter, our driver told us we might want to sleep a bit on the way out, but we chatted about Kenya, schools, neighbourhoods etc. It rained most of the way out but as we approached park sky cleared and we saw Kilimanjaro. Spectacular. Peter knew all the best places and we saw elephants, flamingo's, rhino's, giraffes, gnus and buffalo's and even a lion. We had a wonderful lunch in the lodge and on the way back the only issue was a flat tire. Peter stayed calm and fixed it quickly. He made sure both of us, as well as the kind policeman who helped us, remained well hydrated. Peter made our day. He was polite, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. He even advanced the money for the visit to the village we made. A true gentleman!
This was an outstanding day safari. Our driver / guide Julius was on time and drove safely the entire day. His keen eye was able to see Mt Kilimanjaro through the haze long before we did. Without Julius, we might have missed that spectacular view! His keen eye and experience continued to serve us well in that he spotted numerous giraffes, hippos, and other animals before we did. Julius went above and beyond to assure us an excellent safari and to maximize our ability to see as many animals as possible. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you have Julius as your driver / guide! Well done Julius.
Such an incredible day. I am a solo female traveler and only had one day in Kenya where I could do safari. I contacted Wasili Safaris and they were very accommodating, letting me bring my luggage and dropping me directly at the airport for my flight. Coordination over email and WhatsApp was great and my guide guide, James, was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole day comfortable. Car was clean and comfortable and lunch was beautiful. Can’t recommend enough.
We squeezed in this day tour in our itinerary because we were about to leave Kenya the next evening. It took about 4 hours for us to drive to and from the national park. Our time in the park was probably less than 4 hours but it was enough to see many animals and we didn’t want to stay long anyway because it was too hot in Amboseli. The buffet lunch at Serena Lodge was superb. We only saw the very tip of Mt Kilimanjaro which was expected because we arrived at 9pm. A van was enough in Amboseli bit if you prefer a less bumpy ride you can inquire with the tour company for a 4x4 vehicle. Overall if you are pressed for time and don’t mind getting a bit tired with land travel you can opt for a day tour.
This amazing day trip was one of my favorite things to do from Nairobi! We got to see so many animals and it wasn’t packed with jeeps like other game drives I’ve been on. Plus, our guide, Julius, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Book with him and you won’t be disappointed!
Great experience! We basically saw all the animal we wanted to see: elephants, lions, hippos… our guide Bonny was also very kind and professional!
Julius was an incredible guide! He was so friendly and a joy to be around. He was knowledgeable and a safe driver. Wonderful experience and beautiful tour! Highly recommend
Our guide, Julius, was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Amboseli was a beautiful experience that We are so lucky to have enjoyed. I would go again in a heartbeat!
Our guide Julius was the best! Fun, easygoing and the perfect host. Thanks for an unforgettable day!
