The service was booked for when I arrived in Nairobi and when I left. The service was excellent and seamless. This is my first time traveling to Nairobi and this was essential for having a peaceful arrival and departure. Thank you to the ladies who assisted me, forgive me as I do not recall their names at the moment. Both were very professional, friendly and efficient. I had read that immigration at Nairobi airport can be chaotic and stressful, so I took the advice of a friend who had used Viator to book. Travelling solo can be very tricky at times, and this system took all the worry out of it. I entered arrivals at 21.30 and there was my placard with my name clearly printed. It took less the 15 minutes to get through immigration. Highly recommend!

Great service and support! Agent met me when I deplaned and quickly guided me through the airport to include immigration, baggage claim and customs. She helped me find my ride to my hotel and put me at ease during the entire process. Excellent! I highly recommend using this company and service!!!

Great experience and great service! The young lady that assisted me was incredible! I cannot praise her enough. She navigated me through a complicated process ad there was a technical issue with my VISA and the fact my luggage was still stuck in my departure city (not Kenya). She was awesome.

They helped us navigate a short layover in NBO including clearing immigration, retrieving bags, clearing customs, checking them back in and to the departure gate - passing through myriad security checks along the way. Probably not possible without their help on such a tight timeline (incoming flight delayed by 3 hrs).

I’ve never had a problem with Viator before. I paid $40 for Meet & Greet at NBO airport. There was no person with my name on a sign as promised. I had a ticket. I want a refund.

Outstanding service. Nairobi airport customs clearance and terminal transfers are not as easy as one might expect. Express line at customs. Terminal transfer is outside, over rough pavement. Waited for us until departure check in opened and escorted us through security and all the way to the departure lounge. Don't even consider trying this yourself.

The airport meet and assist service is GREAT!! They have helped me several times. They are very helpful with gathering luggage, passing thru customs, and getting us to our next flight. I highly recommend using this service.

I highly recommend this service both on the inbound and outbound legs of any trip to Nairobi. Although the arrival process is not so difficult, it's still helpful having someone there to greet you and help you navigate when you arrive tired after your long flight. On the departure side, I would not want to attempt it without the help. I travel frequently so I'm sure I could have figured it out, but having a guide there to help made it all stress-free. I would especially like to commend Esther, who helped us on our departure service - she was great and very calming when I accidentally left my purse at one of the multiple rather chaotic screening points along the way (she found it!). My only suggestion would be for the service to be more exact in specifying where to meet the representative on departure, besides just saying "Terminal 1C." We eventually linked up with Esther but it took a bit of searching as we were not in the traffic lane she expected. Everything else went seamlessly and my colleagues and I were grateful for the help.

This was my second experience with Umbato Safaris airport assistance and I couldn’t be much happier with them. Ruth and Hannah were amazing and made my experience super smooth. I literally went through check in, immigration and bags checking within 10 minutes during departure and even less during arrival. This definitely won’t be my last experience with them.

I always use Umbato to meet my mother before immigration when she visits me. It makes the experience faster and more streamlined for her, especially off of a long flight. I also don't want her picking up heavy bags, both off the luggage carosol and loading them into the screening machine before exiting. Umbato always calls me and my taxi driver when they have met my mother, and when they are exiting the terminal so we know when to meet her. It's an invaluable service after a long trip and it only costs $30 (1 person). I wish more airports in the world provided this. I sometimes book it for myself if I have lots of luggage and need help when returning home to Nairobi. They also provide departure service, ie escorting my mom through all the security checks (and lifting her heavy luggage onto the screening belt!). They definitely get through the lines much quicker. They are very responsible. Umbato's team is always excellent. Highly recommend.

This service was definitely worth it. While it didn’t allow us to jump any lines, it was extremely helpful in navigating the airport which is not intuitive in the slightest. We were met immediately upon getting off our plane by two friendly and professional representatives and were taken to immigration. I can tell you, we would have gotten in the wrong line without their help. Once cleared, we gathered our luggage (which the representatives pushed on a cart they had obtained) were taken to another building to check in for our next flight (we were going from a local carrier to an international). Our reps stood in line for us to ensure we were first to get checked in and once this was completed, they took us to our carrier’s lounge which was tucked in an area of the airport we would have never found. They pointed out our departure gate and told when to come down from the lounge. It was worth paying the price to be taken care of and avoid the anxiety of worrying about where to go. Excellent service and very professional. I highly recommend.

I was met by a kind lady who guided me through every step at JKIA with ease and genuine care. From immigration to baggage, she made the whole process smooth and stress-free. After a long flight, having that personal assistance was such a relief and set the right tone for my visit.

Relocated to another city from Nairobi with seven checked-in bags, so I booked and paid for a meet & greet service at JKIA in advance. Upon arrival at the airport by car on the night of 10 July 2025, I had to wait for a while as I arrived earlier than scheduled and all staff were occupied—understandable given how busy the airport was at the time. I did feel slightly frustrated as the phone operator repeatedly hung up before I could finish my queries. I mentioned this during the last call and she apologized. That said, the luggage handlers were helpful and efficient, making the overall experience a positive one.

Fantastic service we would have definitely missed our flight if we didn’t have there help getting us through customs. Nairobi is a very busy and confusing airport with lots of visas so we was 100% thankful for there service!

As I was going through the JKIA security desk for departures, with a broken and visibly wrapped wrist, an Umbato Safaris staff member who was rushing her customers through loaded and pushed trays behind mine, injuring my wrist. I alerted her that I had an injury and thus pushing the trays would hurt my wrist. She stated that she could see that I had an injured hand. I let her know that she injured me in spite of seeing it. She continued to ram through, refusing to apologize, refusing to say her name, and refusing to give the name of the firm she works with. Her colleague attempted to apologize on her behalf, but she regurgitated defiantly to her colleague that I told her she had injured me. The security guard also asked her to apologize and she walked off. This occurred as her clients were also watching with bewilderment. I was forced to file a formal complaint with the airport oversight authority. This firm may have good reviews but has poor decorum towards other airport users.

Umberto provides a top notch meet and assist service at Jomo Kenyatta. We spotted our guide immediately and she handled everything from getting in an expedited border control line, getting our baggage, loading it through the special x ray process, finding our driver and escorting us to the car. Well worth every penny.

Very professional and seamless service. We were notified of a delay in arrival of our flight into Nairobi and they were diligently waiting to receive us , swished us through immigration and luggage arrived within minutes of us reach the carousel . They gathered the luggage and guided us through Customs to our waiting car

Ruth handled the admin with efficiency and understanding and Victor was reassuring and helpful in the airport, and kept us up-to-date with our son's progress through the airport. We were 3 passengers coming from Doha. Three associates met us at the entry of the airport. The associates took care of our checked luggage, got us through Passport Control and customs very smoothly. We only had a 1 1/2 hour layover. Associates got us to the domestic terminal with plenty of time to spare. This service is excellent. We will be using this service again in January 2025. Makes the transit super smooth.

I used their arrival services at JKIA and everything was great. Victor met me at the arrival terminal, got and loaded my luggage onto a cart, which was quite helpful. After hours of travelling the last thing I wanted to do was wrestle suitcases off the carousel. Victor escorted me through customs control and stayed with me until my relatives who were picking me up showed up. It was quick efficient and painless. Would recommend their services to anyone travelling through JKIA.

We received excellent service from the Meet and Greet service by Umbato safari. On our initial transfer through Nairobi it was late in the evening and was noisy and confusion was present. However, our guide met us as we were coming off the plane. They conducted us through the airport and through the checkpoints in a very efficient fashion. They saved us a lot of time and hassle. As we came back through Nairobi on our return trip, our flight into Nairobi had been delayed and we were running very close. Our guide got us to our gate very quickly. This included the checkpoints that we had to go through. We probably would not have made our flight without our guides assistance. The guides were kind efficient and professional.

Excellent service! We were so happy to have an escort to help speed up the departure process. Our guide, Mabel, ushered us through security, through customs and escorted us to the lounge to wait for our flight.

Mark and his team provided exceptional service on both ends of our trip and kept us up to date on developments during our trip. Our flight to NBO was delayed leaving us less than an hour to deplane, get bags, clear customs and passport control and get wheels up on our flight to the Mara, Mark's team was a pleasure to work with and removed all stress from the process and got us on the plane on time. On the day of our departure Mark sent us a message advising of a strike and airport closures, he provided constant updates and reccomendations on getting us where we needed to be and arranged ground transport on very short notice. Highly recommend Mark and his team, we will definitely use Umbato on our next trip to Kenya.
