What a blessing I’ve got Andrew as my games driver in Masai Mara! He’s incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer every simple question I had, shared so many interesting facts about every animal we came across, the national park in general as well as the masai culture (he’s a masai himself). He is polite, kind, funny, professional. In general the whole process of the booking, meeting up with the guide, timeline and games drives was planned and taken care of very well. I’d like to share so many (more) photos, just don’t want my review to be taken down haha- I was able to see a cheetah eating a baby Antilope, a lion hunting and eating a zebra, saw every animal of the big 5 and additionally almost every animal of Kenya’s ugly 5 (look both up, if you haven’t heard about them 😀). Andrew made not only sure to see as many animals as possible (guides stay in touch through phone to report if somewhere is something interesting), he also made sure to get always a great angle and close shot to really witness Kenya’s wildness close up while not disturbing nor stressing any animal.
A true gentlemen and a great experience! Phillip our driver was very experienced and a knowledgeable tour guide both on the roads and in the safaris. His working conditions are very tough yet he sacrifices his time and extra effort to make sure the tourists on board get to destinations safely in the busy condition of Kenya. At first he may seem direct (Kenyan> australian) but over 7 days we enjoyed his time management skills and awareness of the environment. We are honestly happy we had him as a guide and are grateful that he took care of us while in Kenya. Asante Sana Phillip!
Hi, I am Luvi from Sri Lanka. I had a very successful and enjoyable wildlife safari experience in Kenya. We started our journey on 26th August and continued until 4th September. I would personally like to commend our driver and guide, Philephes, who did a marvelous job throughout our safari. I have explored wildlife in many countries and have had the opportunity to meet many guides and drivers, but the service provided by Philephes was truly extraordinary. His knowledge, dedication, professionalism, and friendly nature made our experience even more memorable. I would especially like to give Philephes the credit for helping us have such wonderful wildlife sightings, including the unforgettable baboon experience. A big thank you to Philephes for his excellent service and for making our Kenyan safari such a memorable and enjoyable journey. His contribution deserves special recognition and appreciation.
Excellent travel agency for African tourism
Unforgettable Kenyan Adventure with Baboon Budget Safari Tours! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently returned from an incredible trip to Kenya, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We visited the breathtaking Masai Mara, peaceful Lake Naivasha, and the iconic Amboseli National Park. Everything was seamlessly organized from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Baboon Budget Safari Tours for putting together such a wonderful itinerary. Top-Notch Communication & Service: Right from our initial inquiry, the team was incredibly prompt in answering all our questions and making sure we felt completely prepared for the trip. Fantastic Accommodations: Every property and resort booked for us was well-chosen, comfortable, and provided a great base to relax after long days out on safari. Special Mention: Our Guide, Philip! 🦒 The highlight of our journey was undoubtedly our guide, Philip. He was with us from the very moment we landed in Kenya until the day we departed. Philip made our trip truly special: Patience & Expertise: He was exceptionally patient during game drives, taking the time to track wildlife and ensuring we had the best possible views and photos without ever feeling rushed. Warm & Helpful: His friendly demeanor, rich knowledge of the parks and wildlife, and attentiveness to our needs made us feel safe and well cared for throughout the entire journey. If you are planning a trip to Kenya, we cannot recommend Baboon Budget Safari Tours (and Philip!) highly enough. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!
I highly recommend this agency for anyone planning a trip to Kenya! From our very first inquiry, their team was incredibly helpful, professional, and full of great recommendations. They spent a lot of time and effort creating a wonderful itinerary for our group of 5, showing immense patience with all our questions. Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances and health/safety anxieties within our travel group, we had to cancel the trip at the last minute before making any booking.Even though we couldn't travel this time, their understanding and support were absolutely top-notch. They are hard-working, trustworthy, and deeply care about their clients. If you want a stress-free planning experience with a reliable local expert, this is the place. We will definitely reach out to them in the future! Thank you for everything!
We (4 school friends) booked a 7-day safari through Kenya covering Amboseli, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara, and honestly, it still feels surreal that the four of us actually got to experience something this special together after years of life happening in different directions. What started as a long overdue girls’ trip turned into one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve shared. From the very beginning, everything felt thoughtfully planned and effortless for us. The entire trip was smooth, be it the stays, transfers, game drives, or timings, and it made such a difference because we could fully enjoy ourselves without constantly worrying about logistics. Each place had its own kind of magic. Amboseli with those unreal Kilimanjaro views, surreal landscapes, Naivasha feeling calm and dreamy, and Masai Mara giving us the kind of wildlife moments you usually only see online. Every day felt different and memorable in its own way. We were initially a little unsure about travelling outside the migration season and wondered whether we’d be missing out on the “full safari experience.” But the team planned the trip so beautifully, and our sightings and experiences were so incredible, that by the end of it, the timing genuinely did not matter at all. In many ways, it felt even more peaceful and intimate without the overwhelming crowds. A huge reason this trip became so unforgettable was our guide, Frank. He was patient, warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His spotting skills were honestly impressive (How does one spot a Tortoise across tall grass!!), at one point we were convinced the animals were personally coordinating with him. He made us feel safe, comfortable, and taken care of throughout the journey, while also joining in on our excitement every single time we saw something new. As four girls travelling together, we especially appreciated how comfortable and looked-after we felt during the entire trip. There was a sense of ease and trust from day one that allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the experience. What we loved most was that the trip never felt rushed or transactional. It felt personal. The team genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience and created memories we’d carry back home with us. We came back with a thousand photos and videos, but somehow the best parts are still the little moments in between (laughing in the jeep, watching sunsets in silence, random conversations during long drives, and collectively losing our minds every time we spotted an animal). Would absolutely recommend Marvels of Africa to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. Truly one of those trips that stays with you long after you come home.
I had a wonderful time on my recent safari. The communication before and during the trip was top-notch—very friendly and helpful staff. While the game drives and travel were enjoyable, the logistics of moving between different locations could have been more efficient. If the transfer routes or timing were tightened up, it would be a perfect 5-star experience.
Excellent professionalism from start to finish. The safari was perfectly organized and followed the detailed itinerary provided after booking. Everything ran smoothly and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended — I will definitely book with them again
When I was researching online I came across Mr. Dennis contact number on a site and contacted him on what’s app, he was polite and a gentleman instantly helped me to plan my trip and gave to few itineraries for the dates I mentioned and I paid the advance online, then Miss/Mrs Elsenbrown guided me everything from then and from the arrival of my trip everything was perfectly planned by them and I did not face any issues at all. And when it comes to my experience it was mind blowing, in amboseli the experience was next level and the guide was so humble and hardworking, he was very good with places and helped me a lot to see the beauty of amboseli, then after Amboseli, my trip was to Serengeti and it was out of the world experience, I saw all the big five animals in this trip and words are not enough to describe my experience. Kudos to Mr. Dennis, Elsenbrown, and the guide. The guides are friendly and so much experienced with where to go to spot wildlife, a special mention to the food, it was very very good and delicious and hygienic and healthy. 10/10 for food, everything is good. I recommend these company and staff extremely to everyone because they are good and know what they do. Day or night they were always there online to give help and made everything so smooth, it’s a life time experience!
The Maasai Mara is raw, breathtaking, and endlessly rewarding. From tracking the Great Migration and big cats at dawn to golden sunsets over endless savannahs, every game drive feels cinematic. The culture, wildlife density, and open landscapes combine to create an experience that’s both thrilling and deeply humbling—pure Africa at its finest.
Amazing camp! The team was great, we loved the food and the location of the camp was stunning. We could really calm down there and preparing ourselves for the wonderful safari in Amboseli. The small camp houses were great and had everything we need. I can totally recommend to book it.
Real Amazing experience of Africa for lifetime! Thanks to Suzzy for tailoring all our requirements and adapting to it. We had really great guide for Kenya. Would definitely recommend Kulet as guide, Damn! The sighting and knowledge share by our guide was awesome! Definitely recommend this travel team for experiencing Kenya and Tanzania
The Kenyan part of our safari was amazing. Our driver, Bony, was always willing to help us. He made sure we saw as many animals as possible. His attitude was very kind, respectful, and friendly.
Unforgettable wildlife adventure at an unbeatable price!” Baboon Budget Safari gave us the best wildlife experience we could have imagined. From the very first game drive, we were surrounded by elephants, lions, giraffes, and even spotted a leopard lounging in the shade—our guide knew exactly where to find them! The entire trip felt personal and well-organized, with comfortable transport, cozy lodges, and delicious meals. What impressed me most was how affordable it was without sacrificing the quality of the safari. Every moment—from sunrise over the savannah to watching wildebeest cross the Mara—was absolutely breathtaking. If you want the magic of Kenya’s wildlife without breaking the bank, Baboon Budget Safari is the way to go.
One of best safari company in Kenya, even the arrange luxury private safari game drive in budget, we did Kenya - Tanzania Safari game drive around 12 days
Long time dream came true with total perfection with baboon budget safari ! Joseph ,our guide the best of the whole trip ! And stay were cosy and nice ! Overall our trip went soo well wit them :)
I had an AMAZING time on my safari in Kenya! My drivers Peter and Joseph were awesome at finding animals and we saw every animal imaginable. I highly recommend it!
Everything went according to plan and our wishes. We were able to see all 5 big animals in Africa with the patience of our driver-guide Matin. The accommodation and meals were excellent.
Travelling solo -It was remarkable experiencing raw nature of Kenya . Thanks to Budget baboon team of Jemimah, Rita and Joseph ( guide) for making it a memorable experience . They were accommodating all requests and ensuring I had a pleasant experience . PS: You can choose from many available accommodations as per your budget ( budget , mid level , luxury )
We had so many opportunities to get great photos of lions, cheetah, elephant herds and all of the other animals in the parks. We travelled in a land cruiser troop carrier - very capable vehicle that put us where we wanted to go. A bonus was to sleep in a camp at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. It was above my expectations and great value for money.
Our driver was KULET, he was lying all the time and whenever needed he was not present. Very bad car. Accomodations beyond bad, the service offered is cheating. Denis, the company owner won't care of complaints.
Baboon Budget Safaris was our assigned operator for the Kenya section of our trip. From the onset, this company prioritises revenue over quality, and it permeates every function of their planning. Having travelled within Africa for a month, we appreciate/ local cultures and our guides' stories/ experience, and often keep in touch after trips. Hence, we do not write this review lightly. There were 4 main issues: i) Incompetent "guide". We will call him a driver ii) Poor vehicle condition iii) Poor planning from the onset iv) Delayed/ unwilling communication Any self reputable travel agency in Africa would know not to pair adult travellers with families with kids, as the experience can be vastly different. Here's what went wrong from Day 1. After a quick briefing of the entire full itinerary within 15 mins, we were shuffled downstairs to a waiting standard sized safari van. After some chaotic manouvering, it was only made known to us there and then that we [couple with backpacks] would be paired with a family of 6 [ 4 adults + 2 kids under 5yo]. The family came in with 3 full sized luggages, a few bags of food, which took up the boot and half of the vehicle space. Imagine a full day of travelling through bumpy roads with minimal leg space inside a vehicle with no handrails, but it's ok. We left the office at 9am, had a stopover at the rift view point and lunch. Having arrived late near Ololaimutia Gate around 4pm, the driver dropped off the family at their eco camp, while we were told to keep our backpacks in the vehicle as it was getting late. Chasing the remaining sunlight, we went for a shortened "afternoon" game drive at almost 4.30pm. Along the way, our driver was laughing at bigger 4WDs being stuck in mud while his smaller safari van was able to pass through unscathed. Setting aside our shock, we did not add to his glee and sure enough, our van was stuck in the mud soon after. After spending what little precious daylight we had left, it was decided that our group will leave on another van out of the reserve. This rescue van took the family first to their eco camp, dropped off their own group at their camp, and kindly offered to bring us to our hotel Enkorok Camp, which was another 20mins bumpy ride away. Remember our bags? it had to stay with the stuck-in-the-mud van. We reached camp at 8.15pm, with no bags, no dinner. After a quick check in, we rushed through the dinner buffet and finally got our bags at 9pm. This was day one. Day Two was a full day Masai game drive. We tried to brush aside day one unpleasantness and enjoy the vastness of the reserve. While we didn't spot that many animals and had more frequent bathroom breaks [due to the children], we tried to ask our driver to share some animal insights/ behaviours. Here's what we got. "Lion! - points left", "Elephant! -points right" "Panaroma, take!". We learnt absolutely nothing. Thankfully we had some wonderful safari guides earlier on and were able to piece things together. We understood later that this driver was assigned to us as the family requested for a guide who speaks their language. Unfortunately, we learnt from the family that he was good in neither and they couldn't understand him either. Day Three came, and we started to drive back towards Naivasha/ Nakuru. Here was when the luggage space issues resurfaced and when the vehicle started to have issues [faulty door]. We spent a bit of time as the family needed to withdraw cash, and reached Naivasha late. While we knew that this was an optional activity, nobody asked us whether we wanted to go and the driver simply brought the group there. The family went onto the boat ride and we asked for our options. It was either to stay there for 1.5hrs (and not to walk around since the eco farm was chargeable) or follow the guide into nearby town to fix his faulty door. Why were there no options to bring us to our accom straight? If the driver knew that the family intended to take the boat ride, he should have asked us ahead instead of assuming and arranged for us to be taken to our accom separately? Instead, we spent 2hrs of our trip waiting and reached our accom at Nakuru around 7pm. While both Masai and Naivasha were amazing in their own ways, this is not attributed to the competence of Baboon, and does not take away the poor planning and frustrations. We informed our travel agency of the issues since Day 1 and they spoke with Baboon, which tried to do some service recovery by pairing us with a second group/van for Nakuru, and a 4WD towards Amboseli. When Baboon Manager Jermimah contacted me eventually on day 3, she tried to offer apologies and explained that their operations team made an error as they did not know that the family had kids, which was obviously a lie. All travellers, adults or kids, would have to send passport details ahead. We learnt from the second group that they left on the same day as us with a better van/guide and individual adult travellers. This is when we knew that we were just numbers to Baboon, a nice fitting 2 pax with a family of 6 to fill a van for 8pax. Following the trip, we continued to reach out to Baboon, even speaking to the Director Dennis, but apart from delayed communications [expected since they already "fulfilled" their obligations], there were no further explanations. Messages went unanswered, and calls were hastily ended. This experience prompted us to write this review to share our story. Again, we do not write such reviews lightly, and we hope your experience with Baboon [if you chose them] will be different. Our first time in Kenya / Masai is now intertwined with memories of incompetence and unpleasant encounters.
Exceptional tour experience in the Maasai Mara, which is the first leg of my nine day, safari in both Kenya and Tanzania. Excellent pre-Safari, handling of my account, with clarity about exactly what was included in the tour price. Very solid and agreeable lodging with ample food provided, as stated in the prospectus. Our tour guide Boniface – – she was also our driver for the three days – – was one of the very best guys I have ever had. Knowledgeable of African flora and fauna as well as culture and history. His knowledge of the ecosystems of the Masai Mara was exceptional. He is such a clear speaker, and very agreeable to stops and photo opportunities throughout the trip. He extended our visit to the park to 13 hours so that we were able to fully take in both sunrise and sunset, and we probably covered close to 250 km of driving during the day through the park. If you have the opportunity, be sure to select him as your leader. He seems to be very agreeable, and would be great with young people as well. I should also add that we were able to see virtually all of the major mammals in the park, and including many birds, even porcupines, jackals and other small animals. Lion feedings, as well as postmeal leopard and cheetah sightings were some of the great highlights, although probably also about 50 elephants and a couple dozen giraffes. It could not have been a better day in my visit to Africa.
It’s a safe and cool travel company they are Realy help full , boss name is Denis , so trustable guy and on time company in kenya 🌍
I had a great experience with this company! Especially Anthony our guide was very helpful! We all thoroughly enjoyed his guidance and he was a very good driver as well! Keep in mind that some of the lodging in Lake Nakuru was a bit scoffed, I recommend you ask for a room with proper mosquito nets, as we had a bad night there with many mosquitos. Otherwise, the trip was amazing, and we can fully recommend this company and ask for Anthony as your guide!
Safari with Babons was good,my guide and driver Boniface was great, excellent to find animals and very positive person, the best guide i ever had
Kenya and Tanzania was a trip of a lifetime. The 11 day agenda was packed to see the most variety in wildlife, landscape and culture. The guides especially Anthony and Boniface in Kenya were magnificent going above and beyond to assure great viewing and travel safety. The central communication from the first hello to the last good bye was immediate, reliable and quite pleasant. I truly appreciate the hard work and resourcefulness of the guides and staff to make the safari experience so enjoyable. Wow what a trip! Spectacular Elephants in Amboseli, Rhinos in Nakuru, Lions in Manyara, and Hippos in Serengeti. Love to the Maasai people who invited us into their homes, lands and hearts. Thank you all. I also met the most amazing and kind hearted travelers from around the world to share in the experiences. :)
In August 2022 my partner and I went on safari with Baboon Budget Safaris and it was all great! We went on a shared safari with other guys from other countries and had a spectacular time! We were accompanied all the way by our guide Anthony and we only have words of thanks for all the good he treated us. Every day I was watching that we were comfortable and at ease on the safari, took us to truly strategic places so that we could see as well as possible all the animals that we were encountering along our way. In all the national parks he explained a little history and curiosities about the animals they inhabited, as well as solved all our doubts during the safari. Thank you very much Anthony for your work and dedication, we can assure you that you will be in very good hands if you perform a safari with him. Enterprise in general is serious and competent, from the first day we had contact with them from Spain to arrive in Kenya, communication was very simple and pleasant. We would repeat with this company for sure!
