A safari had been on my dream list for 50 years, So I had high expectations. It met them. Saw every animal but the rhino, which is almost extinct unfortunately. The ride from Nairobi to the park is long. 5-6 hours in the jeep. That is the hardest part and the ride back of course. But it is worth it. We had 7 in our jeep and had plenty of room to stand and take pictures. Within the first 2 hours of entering the park, we saw Zebras, lions, elephants, giraffes, and more! And we still had another full day coming up. The campground is nicer that I expected, Huts are small but work. Felt safe, Shower had a problem in our hut but who care when on a safari. 2nd day was out all day and stopped for a picnic lunch by a river watching a whole bunch of hippos and one large crocodile. We were there during the mass immigration of Zebras and Wildebeast. There were thousands of them. Everywhere you look. We tried to see the famous river crossing, but the herd kept changing directions and after 2 hours we gave up on that. Be prepared to pay cash for the park fees before you take off from Nairobi. Also, be prepared to spend long hours in a very bumpy jeep. But it's worth it. Well worth the money.
We saw so many animals, in a part of the Mara I hadn’t seen before. Our guide Peter so knowledgeable about the animals and where to find them. We enjoyed the Maasai village experience also. The tent ‘camping’ was in a very good facility with a great staff. Be prepared for using cash only at the camp for your drinks, including water. Be prepared for traveling on 4 wheel drive roads on the way to the camps and within Maasai Mara. This lack of warning is why I didn’t give the tour a 5 - starting with a major headache doesn’t help.
The game drive in Masai Mara was really nice! We saw a lot of lions, even babies!! The driver was always in touch with the others to spot animals. The hotel was super nice. The food was good and also was the service. The 4x4 was comfortable even though the Masai mara streets are tough. I would reccomend Joyina. They answer in a very short time if you have any doubt or problem.
Our safari was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized, and we felt well taken care of at all times. We were lucky enough to see all the animals we had hoped for, which made the experience even more special. Our guide and driver, Peter, was simply the best. He did everything possible to make us feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. His knowledge, dedication, and passion were outstanding. He is truly an exceptional driver — there must be a rally driver hidden inside him! Thanks to his skills and experience, we were often the first to arrive at sightings, which gave us the best views and unforgettable moments. I would highly recommend this safari company to anyone considering a safari. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are incredibly grateful for these amazing memories.
Reviews here are fake. Avoid them at all cost, they have dangerous driver that crashed our vehicle during safari. If you ever get a driver named NAF avoid the tour as you will regret it. He is the most rude , insulting and dangerous person you can face in Kenya. His license should be taken. And this agency is encouraging him to behave this way, you will see if you ever book with them and face this guy. There are many other better options , polite and much more safe and positive.
We had a great time on this safari! Joy and her team were excellent. Communication was very good, I paid a secure online deposit and received a receipt. We met at the city market, found Joy by messaging her on WhatsApp and paid the balance usd cash in the vehicle. We were lucky that our group was a fun bunch of people! We saw beautiful views in the reserve and all the big animals except a rhino. We even caught a glimpse of a leopard and looked a huge male lion right in the eye! We won't forget it! Tip: don't forget some compact binoculars. Camp was ok, very welcoming, just a couple of small issues with the facilities but remember, this is a very remote location. It certainly was wild during the night too! We visited a Masai village, which was also great. Budget around 40usd per person and have it in Kenyan Shillings, which you'll give to the village guide and souvenir sellers (they're extremely persuasive). I don't advise wearing open sandals btw, as cattle dung in the village is normal life. All in all it was well worth the price and very memorable. Special thanks go to Jeff - he was a safe and skillful driver, who enjoyed trying to get us to all of the best sightings. He really knew what he was doing. An extra day would have possibly been a little more relaxed pace and we surely would have seen even more, but this trip really was a great safari experience. I definitely recommend it.
It was an unforgettable experience! Definitely recommend (3 day Masai Mara safari in February). And huge thanks to Peter, our driver and guide who did everything to ensure we see as many animals as possible and explained everything in detail. Make sure you ask for him if you plan on booking a safari
We had a great time in the Maasai Mara. The whole experience was very professional. The communication was good which I appreciated as well. The price was cheaper than a safari I did with another company for the same length of time, but the accommodations were much much better as well as the overall experience. We also got to see some unbelievable things such as lions mating and fighting thanks to our driver Jeff. He is super knowledgeable, a great driver on the rough Kenyan roads, and willing to outdo any of the other drivers in the Safari to get us a great view. You could tell he is experienced at this. Other riders felt the same way.
I joined the 3 day safari to Masai Mara with Kevin and had a great time! He’s such a friedly guide, super helpful and has great insights on the wildlife and the area!
I had the best experience ever. A very special thanks to the wonderful guide/driver Sadala who was very good at his jobb.
I had a great experience. I spend 2 nights in Mara Ntulele camp just beside the Masai village. In the camp conditions were very good. Spacious room, very polite staff, good food and choice of drinks. Solar panels and generator was the source of electricity, so in the night electricity was not available. Our safari driver Dan Castro, did exceptional work to get at minimal distance to every animal so everyone can get the best photos. He did his best to satisfy the need of every person in 8 men group. My admiration for Dan Castro. I recommend his service.
enjoyed safari trip organized by Jyoina quite a lot. Communication was smooth and swift. Kelvin our guide is vey good at what he does besides being very friendly. We got to see almost all of the exotic animals. Kelvin even went out of his way to make our safari memoriable for rest of our life by encountring us with two fully grown pride brothers of lions. After safari we had previlage to visit Maasai village and get to know their culture and amazing luck to get photos with the chief himself. Thank you very much for such unfogottable experice Jyoina safari team and Kelvin!
We took a 3 day safari budget trip with peter as a guide and it was amazing. Peter was such a fantastic guide, I cannot say enough good things about him. He made such an effort to allow us to see so much of the masai mara, as many of the wild animals there as possible, and even a great sunset. He knew exactly how to find his way around and how to get to see great animals. In general, the safari itself was fantastic, we stayed at the giraffe camp. The food was great and the people were very accommodating and welcoming. Could not have asked for a better experience.
The safari was well organized and Peter was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide who helped us see the best animals and features of the Masai Mara.
I had an incredible 3-day, 2-night safari experience in the Masai Mara with Joyina Safari, and I would highly recommend them. From the very beginning, they showed exceptional kindness and professionalism — especially when I encountered visa issues at the airport. They were patient, understanding, and truly supportive during a stressful situation. The safari itself was amazing. Our driver-guide was highly skilled and knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond to help us explore the best of the Masai Mara. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see 4 out of the Big Five animals, which was unforgettable. One important point to note: the park entrance fees must be paid directly to the agency either in US dollars or in Kenyan shillings — and unfortunately, this wasn’t clearly communicated in advance. We were not allowed to pay by card or M-Pesa, even though we know for a fact that this would have been possible at the gate. It caused some unnecessary stress, so I would advise future travelers to clarify the payment method well ahead of time. If I had one additional suggestion, it would be to improve the overall organization and communication between the driver and the group. There were a few misunderstandings that led to some tension among participants, but it didn’t take away from the beauty of the experience. Overall, Joyina Safari delivered a memorable and rewarding adventure — I’m really grateful for everything they did.
The organizer (Joyina Safaris Africa) organizes everything in a professional manner. Everything went well: the prompt communications, the tour guides/drivers namely "Peter" and "Ron" are awesome: they both are very helpful, friendly and professional not only on driving but also as an excellent guide who know about Masai Mara very well and spot the wild animals in very efficient way. The accommodation was good (only a little issue on water supply/hot water) and so do the meals. I enjoyed a lot this experience and am highly recommended this tour organizer.
Booking safaris can be very stressful as there are so many options and prices. I found Joy’s advertisement on Facebook and contacted her about the tour package prior to visiting Kenya. She was swift at responding and open about all your queries. She gave me a detailed itinerary of everything. I chose the budget option and frankly it wasn’t too bad at all, in fact it made the stay more interesting. The accommodation was basic, but it was clean, with lovely staff. Food was also basic home cooked meals and everyone came to the dining room during meal times to catch up. It was really lovely. I also appreciate that Joy was checking up on my through the tour. The safaris were amazing no doubt and everything ran smoothly and on time. The jeep was comfortable despite the long bumpy journey, it was quite an adventure. This is one of the most affordable tour packages you can get for the Masai Mara as I’ve asked a few places when I got to Nairobi and they were giving me higher quotes for the same budget option. I would definitely recommend booking with Joyina Safaris.
This was my first time in Kenya and I wanted to explore Masai Mara and then I was searching on the web and Facebook for a good tour operator and then I came across joying safaris, as they have mentioned budget safari and then they shared the package which had prices lower when compared to others. However they gave me an option for a luxury stay at a different price and to which I accepted. I was received by driver Dan on the day of trip. We reached Masai Mara and then checked in to my hotel and after lunch we quickly left for the safari game drive and back late evening for dinner after viewing the wild. The hotel was perfect for a decent luxury trip and it was up to my expectations. The 2nd day was full day game drive and lunch was packed from hotel and we did find a beautiful picnic spot in the wild for lunch. Then continued seeing the remaining of the jungle. We did see all the big 5 ugly 5 and the other 5. The trip was overall 10/10. Driver was the guide too who was explaining everything and saw that we(other solo travellers) were comfortable and got what we came for. We were back to Nairobi on the 3rd day safe and happy with so many memories. It was perfect!
AMAZING TRIP AND ITS WORTH IT.I WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK AGAIN THANK YOU FOR WARM AND VERY HOSPITABLE SERVICE. THANK YOUUUUU KUDOS TO THE TEAM
First i Have to give this lady Joy her flowers, she is into details and always ready to help. This being our first safari and first time in Africa , we had a lot of questions and fear of being scammed. Joy ,our consultant, she was ready to reply to all our questions in time ( some time because of time difference she worked overtime because of us. Our accommodation was good , all the staffs were friendly and always made sure we are comfortable. The Driver guide- OMG i have a lot to say about our guide but for lack of words to describe the good work i will say he was the best. I recommend this company 101 % times .
great experience, we have beautiful photos. They could have provided drinks for the guests for the whole day in the car. Be careful, the entrance fee to the park is only in dollars. In another currency it will be extremely expensive - they have their own deadly exchange rate 🙄
We had great experience. Our guide Rodger was very skilful, kind, and excellent driver. We are grateful for wonderful full day ride! He made his best to show us as many animals as possible! We only missed rhino :( Our camp was nice, close to the entrance. Unfortunately, a mouse got into our tent during the night. There was no night guard in the camp or anyone to help us in this situation.
I must say they are professional. I used their website to book.. And everyone I interacted with from Joy -Tour Consultant to Douglas the transfer guy and Steve the tour driver they were all nice. At first I was a bit worried since have never used them but it turned out to be the best safari I have ever had. I can recommend them
The Trip was excellent.....I got to enjoy the trip since I was with friends and some clients whom we were joining....Also our guide was very knowledgeable concerning the park animals. I really recommend other clients to Joyina Safaris
I had a chance to do my safari with joyina,it was one of the best have ever had,..if i had to do it again i will choose joyina safaris.
We had an amazing time. The driver was very friendly and showed us around .we saw all the big five. It was the best experience I can only dream about. From the office they were very friendly and caring they kept on asking if everything is okay. Joy she is the best organizer. I recommend you use them
Highly recommend their service they are very professional and caring.(they called and email all the time to ensure we are okay) our driver guide was so patient with especially me (this was my first time in Africa I had alot of insecurities) .He knows how to position the vehicle right where the animals are for best viewing he navigate through other tour guides with skills and precision ... I will recommend them over and over again. Thank you Joy.
This is what I needed . A break from my office to the bush. Joy thank you for the good work . I love how you choose the best service for your clients.

THANK YOU GUYS.
The experience with Joyina was incredible. They picked us up at the central market in Nairobi, and we traveled for a few hours to our camp, which was just minutes from the entrance to the Masai Mara Reserve. On the first day, we went on a safari for a few hours, returned to the camp, had dinner, and rested. On the second day, we had a full safari, including a picnic inside the reserve. Upon leaving, we visited the Masai Village and learned a bit about their life and customs. Our driver, Pita, was very kind and attentive at all times; his vehicle was very comfortable, clean, and had mineral water available at all times, as well as charging connections for devices. During the safaris, he made an effort to ensure we could see as many animals as possible from excellent viewpoints. At the camp, the stay was very pleasant; everyone was helpful, and the food was excellent. The sleeping tent was comfortable, safe, clean, and had everything necessary (hot water, towels, charging connections for devices, bedding, etc.) I recommend the tour with Joyina. We enjoyed it very much.
Our experience with Joyina was a 10/10!!! 💯 The communication when we were considering different options for operators to carry out this experience was a plus. They answered all our inquiries and doubts (which were many), always very willing and promptly. Later, prior to our trip, they sent us Joy's number so we could contact her, who would receive us in Nairobi and accompany us during our trip, ensuring that everything was always perfect. There, we were also greeted by Peta (I hope I am spelling her name correctly), our sensational driver and guide, who always answered all our questions and shared all his knowledge about his culture, the different animals we spotted, the park, and much more!! 💪🏼 The itinerary was respected, and everything that was informed was fulfilled, mainly regarding what is included and excluded from the tour's value. In the photographs I share, you can see the landcruise in which we had the experience; it was comfortable, had water available throughout the journey, and as a bonus, it also had outlets to charge the devices' batteries. You just need to let Peta know to activate the charging stations and bring a Kenya adapter. 😄 Our accommodation was Mara Ntulele, which is located outside the park but about 10 minutes from the Oloolaimutia entrance gate. It is a glamping complex whose photographs are exactly as we saw on the internet; the breakfasts and dinners were magnificent, and at night you can take a break in their comfortable chairs while watching the great starry sky. If you stay there, keep in mind that from 11 PM to 5 AM, the electricity is cut off, so you need to organize the charging of your devices' batteries. Thanks to Peta and Joy for their kindness and willingness!! 😊😊 Thank you, Joyina, for this fabulous and unforgettable experience. 🙌🏼 P.S.: Nature does not depend on either Joyina or Peta; we were fortunate to see 4 of the 5 big ones in Masai Mara. We missed the super difficult one, the rhinoceros, but without a doubt, Peta did everything in her power for us to spot as many animals as possible (including the leopard, which had not been seen in seven safaris and simply crossed majestically in front of us)!! 🥹
All animals seen Nice group Super stay and nice staff Good car Really a positive experience to see all the animals so close
